Shepard helped the guy up "don't sweat it" then a blue haired girl ran up yelling at the poor guy for just walking up to the mob "isn't that what you just did" not caring if she heard him or not, what was up with people today did everyone wake up with a bad mood. She then proceeded to send a party invite to them the guy accepted even though it didn't seem he was all that enthusiastic about it 'why do I keep getting myself into these situations' after he thought it over Shepard decided it was the best course of action at the moment and mashed the accept button all three of there health bars and names now showing Rinne and Vigilon. Suddenly the boar let out a mix of something between a howl of anger and a squeal, looking over just in time to see the red head strike the boar with her scythe then Vigilon struck with his sword art drawing the beasts attention. 'It's time to get serious this thing needs to be dealt with' switching to his cold emotionless persona he lunged out with snake bite scoring a critical again and dealing some satisfying damage and back stepping far enough to prevent a counter attack. Now the boar was angry at him and with no energy left he was in a bit of a pinch. "A few more hits and he'll be bacon" he said while caching his breath.

'So all I need to do is kill a dark elf take the leather it drops and bring it back to the smithy and I get a free piece of armor, sounds easy enough.' Shepard thought as he reached the forest he was just about to enter before something caught his eye crouching down he picked up what looked like a mushroom of sorts it was pitch black with streaks of red running across it. Quickly pocketing the item into his inventory Shepard continued on his way and entered the forest from the outside it seemed as if it was normal but inside it had an ominous feel to it as if he was being watched. Deciding it was the best time to do so Shepard drew his sword and pressed on keeping his senses focused on his surroundings and where he was stepping.

Great here Shepard was trying to be nice to randoms for a change and this is what he gets for his trouble 'looks like I'm going to have to play that routine' he thought as he heard her complain about how her armor would have handled it. So he just put on a smile and rested his hands on the back of his head "sorry about that, I didn't know you saw it I just didn't want to take a chance if you know what I mean" putting his hands down he let out a sigh "for all I knew you could have been at 1 HP and to many people die out here." And that's when he saw it a massive boar chasing one of the other two players he saw at the gate into an area littered with jagged rocks 'looks like that guy could use some help.' letting out another sigh he looked back at the girl "Hey if your mad ill pay you back at a later date but for now why don't you help me help that guy and take your anger out on that big boar." And with that Shepard started towards the rocks, he got there just in time to see the guy get kicked by the boar. Using one of the rocks he launched himself into the air landing on it's back and bringing his sword down on it's back but it only bounced off it's thick hide. The boar taking notice of Shepard on it's back threw him off and back into the air. When he hit the ground he rolled forward preventing any fall damage and found himself standing next to the player that it kicked. "Looked like you could use an extra hand." offering a hand to the random.

Inside the shop it was like an oven there was a thin layer of smoke near the ceiling coming from a nearby forge across from it was a workbench that was used for tailoring behind a counter. In the front of the shop there was lots of mannequins and display cases holding loads of different types of armor. Behind the counter the blacksmith stood gesturing for Shepard to come forward "Well you came to the right place I am making armor for people but you have to get the materials yourself"  the burly NPC said as he leaned over his counter 'I knew there would be a catch' Shepard sighed "so what kinda armor do you want my man light or heavy"  sighing again he answered "I'll take the light armor" and with that the blacksmith told him that he needed to get some fabric from a dark elf in the woods to the north. Shepard left the smithy and headed out of the town and north to get the item and get his armor.

As he reached the gate Shepard noticed that there wasn't many players outside of the town this morning in fact there were only three but one them caught his eye more than the others. She was clad in black armor welding a very lethal looking weapon as she dispatched what Shepard could only guess was another pesky boar that the fields were home to. But what intrigued him wasn't what she killed but how effortlessly this red haired girl did it. "Well she can definitely handle herself here" Shepard had gotten into the habit of helping people more than usual after meeting Spidey and Nashoba. And that's when he saw a boar charging at her from behind before he could even think he was already sprinting at it pulling his sword from it's sheath and burying it into the boars side three times before it shattered into pixels five feet from the girl. "Phew that was a close one" sheathing his sword onto his back he noticed the boar nicked his leg doing almost no damage to him. Thanks to that sprint though his hair was messed up again "you should really keep an eye on your surroundings you know." Pushing his hair back with with his hands as he said the words.

As he slowly opened his eyes Shepard could see the morning sun peeking over the roof tops of the building in the town of beginnings. He had fallen asleep on a bench the previous night worn out from grinding mobs by himself again sitting up on the bench he started to talk to himself like he did every morning as if some unseen audience was watching. "Aaahhhh, morning already." Looking around the Market district it seemed pretty normal NPC's and players where already getting started on their respective jobs "man this is getting repetitive it would be a lot easier with a group but it doesn't seem like people are all to interested in low level players these days." With a sigh he stood up straightened his messy black hair the best he could and started for the gate to the fields and forest beyond that. "Maybe today will be different."

Hey guys it's been awhile since I've been on here since I've been in basic training but I plan to get back into this 

The market district was quiet at night barely any other players were out at night these days not even NPC’s were out. The street lamps illuminated most of the streets at night and the moon handled the rest giving everything a ghostly pale look. Almost all of the shops were closed at this time but a few were still open “where the heck is this shop at!” turnig a corner into the Town square Shepard took another look around there where all kinds off shops around unfortunately none where the one he was looking for. As he was about to give up and call it a day he heard a shop door open reveling two players and a lage burly man wearing what looked to be some sort of apron  “yall have a nice night and good luck with your new armor” calling out to the players as they left the building. As soon as they were out of sight the man stepped back into the shop and closed the door. Shepard breathed out a sigh of relief ‘finally’ walking over to the shop door he knocked two times opened the door and walked in to the shop “hello I am looking for a blacksmith that’s offering to make armor.”

‘That probably wasn’t the best thing to say to him’ thinking back to what he said about his sister probably going into dives. “Don’t worry about it so much man the chances of her getting a disk were probably harder than ours I mean I waited awhile to get my copy and I got to the stores early.” At that Shepard looked around noticing that they were about half way from the wall to town and from there it was another long walk to the main gate where the safe zone begins. His attention was grabbed by a small object in the corner of his vision a small mushroom blue in tint and not much bigger than the palm of his hand standing in the tall grass he walked over and added it to his inventory. “But you can die in here and no matter how amazing this world is that doesn’t change that simple truth” he stopped momentarily when he heard Spidey’s next question ‘if he thinks of me as a friend I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell him my age and name then, it’s not like he can look me up on the internet.’ Shepard takes a deep breath “I’m 18.”

Shepard stepped off the teleport gate in the town of Delilah the main settlement of the third floor it was night but at least the moon was out illuminating everything in sight. He had heard about a master blacksmith that would craft you armor as long as you brought the materials necessary to forge it, but you had to get the material by killing some creature. ‘Now I just need to find the shop’ looking around he couldn’t see any blacksmith shops around him ‘figures, of course it wouldn’t be that easy to find it’ deciding that it would be best to check the market in town for the shop he walks slowly in the direction of the market. He had thought about bringing along Spidey for this quest but decided against it. He wasn’t going to be able to rely on others all the time he needed to be able to fight by himself, and more importantly survive this death game.

Shepard will be taking this quest on solo

He's happy he can't see them before Shepard could ask why, Spidey had started to explain that it was do to them not being here with him. "It's a good thing that they didn't get stuck in this world, if they did you'd be like me worrying where they are and if they were alright" they still weren't even half way to the wall yet when something caught his eye a small blue flower sitting out of place among the grass by itself "found another material" as he picked it up he realized Spidey was still talking so Shepard moved back over to him and waited until he was finished to speak "well usually when someone disappears for long periods of time during the day they're usually hiding something, and by the sounds of it she might have been diving." This probably wasn't the best thing to point out at the moment but it was more than likely true if what Spidey was saying was true. "Hey and don't worry I'm sure the next time you see her she will thank you from keeping her from VR gaming."

Shepard listened intently to Spidey's answer to his question while he searched for materials hoping to find something "I have to agree with you in the real world you couldn't do anything about those people without being punished for it but in this world you have the power to defend yourself." Spidey made a good point with what he was saying their were still people out there that manipulated players into doing there bidding. There was still nothing for Shepard to use as a material around him 'looks like my luck is running out' he sighed in disappointment and continued talking "But there are those that you hear complaining constantly about how easy it is to die here but when we were in the other reality there was a better chance of you dieing than being here." Thinking about death was never an option for Shepard it was a thought he always forced out of his head because he knew if he died he wouldn't be here to help Juni or get back to his little sister and mother. "Hey Spidey you mentioned you have a family outside of this world do you ever miss them?"

"It's nice to meet you Nashoba" why was she not looking at him in the eyes was she ashamed about something or was she hiding something he was about to mention it until she started again. 'Master' ok something definitely was wrong what made her think he was this high class person and fact that she doesn't like to fight should've thrown up a big red flag but something about this girl made him curious he wanted to know why she was addressing him as master. "I don't see a problem in that just heal me when I take damage" Stopping outside of the safe zone he took a deep breath "before we go any further we need to get something out of the way f*******k" before he could finish a wolf came out of nowhere hitting him in the back and jumping out of the reach of Shepard's sword 'where did that wolf come from.' stepping into his stance with sword raised in front of him he made a mental note to continue their conversation after he killed this mob. "we'll have to pick this up after I get rid of this wolf"

While Shepard searched the plains for materials he listened to the life story of Spidey "yeah, I wasn't the most popular in school either I was going to be graduating and going to college to major in medival architechture but now I don't know, I remember when all I had to worry about was my next grade and now I've got to worry about my next step and what monster is around the corner that wants to kill me." Climbing up the rock Spidey walked around to get a better view. Shepard looked around to see few other players outside of the town "I feel as if our lives in reality prepared us for this world" realizing what he just said he smiles "that's funny I just thought about it so many people want to clear this game and get back to their reality when the truth is that this world is our reality" looking at Spidey he sees him pick up what looks to be a mushroom by the looks of it. "Hey, looks like you found one" jumping of the rock and landing beside Spidey he stars walking in the direction of the town. "Let's start back to town and search along the wall."

Why was she addressing him as sir it was a word he hadn't called in the real world he was no sir far from it all he did was study his books. "Thanks, now I got this quest last night but decided to wait until morning and seems to me that was a good choice." Looking at the girl she seemed to be younger than him maybe a year she was cute and a very formal he also noticed that she wouldn't look him in the eyes. Making a mental note to ask about that later, Shepard brought up the quest information "ok it says we need to head to the plains outside of town and kill six wolves sounds easy enough." Closing his menu he remembered he hadn't introduced himself "by the way my name's Shepard what's yours so I don't have to refer to you as miss all the time." He started towards the main gate that lead to the plains as he asked his question with a slight smile.

This quest was proving to be more difficult than he expected Shepard only managed to find two materials and it seemed that the way they were going wasn't going to yield anything different. He stopped and looked around they were getting further and further away from the town and it was already late into the day "we need to hurry let's try going the way you suggested and head back to the town from there" starting to the edge of the plains he decided it might be a good idea to try and understand Spidey a little more he seemed to be very observant and kept quiet about himself and worried about how Shepard was dealing with his guilt "so sense you know a little about me I want to hear about you what got you into this game?" Making sure to keep moving while he talked only stopping to look for anything that could be used as materials and to push his hair back when it got in his way which was frequently.

Shepard thought the subject had been dropped and kept walking but Spidey stopped and kept it going asking how he knew her in the real world. "Yes she was a close friend she got me into gaming but I'm the one who talked her into going into this game that afternoon she wanted to wait until the morning and go in then Im the reason me and Juni are stuck here." Shepard had stopped to answer him keeping his stern demeanor as he spoke only stopping to make sure Spidey was listening. He thought for sure Spidey was done but far from it as he tried to make Shepard stop feeling guilty. "Im sorry but your wrong my guilt has kept me alive it gives me the drive to stay alive and find her" pausing to look up at the sky he continued while he stared into the distance "your very intuitive Spidey in many ways that is a good thing but not all people are like me some don't take it lightly when you ask the hard questions but as long as you're around me don't worry about it." He looked back at Spidey still stern faced "so don't worry about me I'm not gonna get myself killed and let's worry about getting this quest done before it gets dark." Looking around he didn't see anything that looked like it could be a mat "let's keep moving forward it doesn't seem like there is anything here." And with that Shepard started walking again.

It was early morning I'm the town of beginnings there were few people on the streets due to the time and the only reason Shepard was up was that he was returning from the monument of life to check on Juni and make sure she was still alive. It was quiet he liked Aincrad when it was quiet there was a certain feeling that you could go and do whatever you wanted to when it was like this, in the real world he would probably be stuck in his books, but instead of reading about medival life he was living it and it was amazing. The only probably was that he was alone he would prefer to have Juni and enjoy this with her but right now he would settle for anyone. Stopping to think he decided that the best way to get someone to accompany him was to do a quest with them. Looking around for any players he noticed a large group of players not to far from him but to many players would be a hassle that's when his gaze landed on a pink haired girl by herself and thought why not. When he got close enough  to talk to her he stopped wondering what he was doing talking to random people this wasn't like him. Shaking off the thought he spoke "excuse me miss but I was looking for someone to do a quest with and i was wondering if you wouldn't mind joining me."

As they reached the rocks the bird flew away again leaving them to search for materials. On the rocks there was nothing 'dang bird is it messing with me' looking back to Spidey he started "well looks like a bust let's keep walking maybe we will find something" as he walked he listened to Spidey's answer to his question "yeah they probably do, hectic yet peaceful" his mind stuck to that one word "peaceful" he whispered to himself. Shepard stopped immediately when Spidey asked his question a look of pain as he remembered his guilt he was the reason it was his fault she was here. "It's all my fault" a look of pain was on his face it was as if his heart had just been torn out "she was always the better gamer" he stopped to take a breath "I was saying she was probably in heaven being here she loved games it was her life and now it really is because of me" forcing himself to revert back to his normal demeanor he turned to Spidey with his normal expression on his face "sorry about that I don't know what got in me lets keep moving." And with that he continued on walking.

Hearing what Spidey said made Shepard think about how if it was hard for them to find a few materials he couldn't imagine what it was like for Frontline players this brought him back to the thought of Juni she was always better at games than he was even after he got into them "she must be in heaven right now" not realizing that he said this aloud he chuckled a bit before his eyes caught sight of another feather falling on the ground in front of him, crouching down to pick it up he took notice of a very familiar bird perched on a outcropping of rocks not ten feet from them it was the same one that he startled back at the tree. "Hey Spidey let's check over by those rocks we might have better luck at finding mats over there." He placed the other feather in his inventory and started to walk to the rocks "what do you think the Frontline players go through on a daily basis?" He only asked this to pass the time and get to know him a little.
