Blood did not know how to engage in combat. She didn't know how to fight in a situation such as this. Should she attack the fish? Or should she wait for the sword to come piercing at her? If she didn't put pressure in this fight, she would have an extremely difficult time because she was not familiar with the battle field, but her opponent is fully aware of how to fight in such a terrain. This was the type of fight that Blood would never want to fight because she wants all her moves to be calculated to the point where she cannot possibly lose. Here, if she cannot reach the opponent, then she cannot win because she won't be able to deal damage even with her longer sword known as the katana. Blood reached forwards, knowing that delaying would not do anything, only to miss inevitably. She frowned, trying to find a way to fight this.

    <<Sword Fish>> Found

Finally, Blood felt a force on her rod, and it was a powerful tug from the surface of the water as well. Blood looked down and signaled that she got something on the hook, which the fisherman, Pete, responded by going near her immediately. The shadow on the surface of the water had a pointy, sword-like figure, and it was obvious that the fish was, indeed, what they were searching for. Too easy, Blood thought, reeling the fish in only to find that she couldn't force it out of the water.

"Hold on there, fella, I'm here to help," Pete exclaimed, rushing over and putting both his rough hands on the fishing pole. With the strength of both characters, the fish was pulled from the boat. With that, the combat had been initiated, and the sword-fish could not go back into hiding until the battle was finished. And there's only one way it would end.

    <<Sword-Fish>> Not Found

"Well, at least it's a lovely day outside. The sun isn't too hot, and it's the perfect time for some relaxing fishing, don't you think, miss quiet?"

Blood sighed, the man was obviously not happy with her lack of respect and sound, but she found it such a waste of time to talk to an NPC like him, because the benefits are not existent at all. Blood decided that she would show some fake respect by turning around and giving the old fisherman a nod, but that was all she would give, and it seemed that the gesture was enough to satisfy the fisherman for the time being.

"Ah, we finally agree on something. I wonder how long it would take before we can finally find the fish we're looking for out here." Pete said, and as he said it, Blood pulled out something from the water. A boot. Excellent.

  4. Blood remained silent. The man was an NPC, and he was a talkative one, so it was a perfect combination for Blood to ignore him because he couldn't do anything to retaliate but to continue talking his nonsense. He wasn't of use to her, so she had to reason to converse with the man. Even if he had use, Blood wouldn't do it. No matter how she treated him, as long as she didn't do anything violent, Blood would receive the awards that come with the quest, and that is what Blood wanted, not a relationship with a random NPC person who won't be of any significance a few days later. Blood sighed, looking into the waters. It was time for her to fish, and fishing, from what she had read in books and from seeing other people fish, would take a long time. What she hoped, was the dangerous fish would be enough to satisfy her tastes.

  5. "Not very talkative, are ya? Well I certainly am, so you're going ta have to bear with my talking throughout the whole time." Pete said, slowly walking towards the boat before lifting one foot up followed by another foot. Both people were now inside the boat, but while one was a cheerful fisherman, the other was a very annoyed assassin. Blood could tell that this quest was going to be absolutely terrible with this man in the boat, and she couldn't even do anything about it. If she tried to kill him, who knows what the Aincrad police will do, and if she kicked him off the boat, she won't get the skill points that she should receive for completing the quest. Blood sighed, grabbing onto one of the rowers before starting to row. Soon, Pete picked up her pace behind her.

"Hey, you're not bad for a beginner. Got some strength in those arms da ya?" He asked.

  6. "Hola, amigo. Welcome to the fishing port. Not a lot of people are fishermen these days, but this is the profession with the most passionate workers, and I am definitely one of the famous fishermen around Aincrad. Recently, I spotted a gigantic fish in the middle of that lack behind me, and I need a player's help to kill it because I don't use weapons, and it looked pretty dangerous from when I saw it from here. By the way, my name is Pete the fisherman," The bearded man said, providing an explanation of the quest and what Blood needed to do in order to complete it. With her blood-red eyes, Blood nodded, not saying a word as the quest notification popped up. With a sly movement, she used her right pointer finger and clicked the blue accept button before walking to the medium-sized boat without saying anything. She looked at Pete, expecting him to not waste her time anymore.

  7. Blood walked to the port that she was instructed to get to. She found it strange because she never really noticed such a big body of water here on the first floor, even though she had been here a lot of different times. It was just a detail that didn't matter to her, because she never expected to fight on the water, so it had never crossed her mind to study how water fighting works. Blood frowned, looking for a big guy with a white beard - the stereotypical image of a fisherman in video games. Luckily for her, there was only one person by the docks, and with that person would definitely be the quest giver. Blood smirked, finding the man was already the first step to her obtaining her skill points from the last beginning quest. Soon, she would be able to level up even more. Besides, this quest will be done in no time if she did it efficiently.

  8. Hannah, or whatever her name was, thanked her for the jewel that Blood got for her before sending her off to the final quest. With those new skill points that she just received, she was able to increase her level, and now, she was stronger than before. With even more confidence in her ability to kill, Blood proceeded on. Apparently, she was supposed to deliver a fishing pole to an NPC and then go fishing with him, although it would definitely be a quiet, almost silent conversation if the NPC is talkative.

"Thanks a lot, Blood, now you must go to Pete and deliver the fishing rod for the completion of the last of the beginner quests. He'll give you instructions on what to do next," Hannah exclaimed, smiling as she sent Blood on her way. Blood, without responding, turned and left, drawing a frown from the face of the quest giver.

  9. Finally, Blood had finished the previous beginner quests and she had already achieved her katana. Blood now had quite the bit of damage, and with that damage, she would be able to use a lot of more powerful weapon sword arts. Now, she was on the last stage of the beginner quests, and she would definitely be finishing this quest for the skill points as soon as possible. She had planned to get this quest done as soon as she received her new katana, and with this new katana, she would defeat whatever the quest throws at her in this quest. At the moment, she was worried about her energy, because she didn't have that much of it, and her weapon required a strong amount of energy in stock. The only way to improve her energy though, is through leveling up, and that means obtaining more skill points and getting more in her skill level.

  10. Blood charged forwards with her curved sword out of its case. She heard a shuffle of bushes as if the person was running away from her. Blood's brows furrowed as she observed the moving bush. Suddenly, a skinny man in a dark ninja-like costume jumped out of the bush. His eyes were a threatening glance that was directed directly at Blood's figure, and Blood held her stance in a defensive fashion. She was not aware of the man's abilities, but she knew exactly what the man intended to do... attack her. She took a small, quiet breath, and at that breath, the man started backing away.

"What is your purpose?" Blood asked, only for the man to respond with a silent movement of her rubber mask. He was not going to say anything, and pursuing her was no use. Blood felt a shiver. It was a reminder that her life was constantly in danger.

Blood's eyes shifted constantly when she saw another apple in the distance. It was a good opportunity for her to obtain another material, and she decided that she would take it without hesitation. She smiled, seeing that it was a good apple that she can definitely use for the potions. Blood sighed, when she noticed a stare. It was a strange sensation that occurred to her as she turned around suddenly. There was someone hiding within the shadows, and Blood was unable to judge him or her without the use of vision. She can't see him or her, but she was aware of their presence. Blood took a gulp, maintaining quiet as she listened out for the location of where the enemy was. Blood kept her attention at full despite her tired legs and finally, she heard a crunch of a leaf on the ground and pinpointed exactly where the squirrel was.

Shifting her attention completely to her mission of gathering apples, she continued to look up at the trees and occasionally looked down just in case a good apple fell to the ground and no one bothered to pick it up or notice it. The chances of a good apple on the ground was unlikely though, because boars and other creatures can come along and easily pick it to eat and feast on it before they were killed by players. With their death, the players would be able to become stronger. It was like a cycle, and Blood felt guilty for taking away food from the boars who needed them to grow bigger for players like her to kill. There are plenty of apples around, she told herself, grabbing one randomly off of a tree. It was a bad apple, and Blood tossed it away without hesitation. She smiled, her blood-like eyes focused on what's ahead and what's around her.

Blood looked up as she walked to the nearest tree. Here, there would be plenty of apples, but she would need to use her gut instincts to choose an apple that looked closest to ripe. Not only that, she would have to get lucky that a red apple didn't get bitten by a mob or has not been taken by other players. This was a game of luck, and sure, there are things that can boost the likelihood that you succeed in the task that you wish to complete. Blood sighed, her blood-like eyes scanned the area to see that there were boars around, and she desired blood at that moment. She was so tempted that she almost left her area, but then she realized that there was a huge red apple hanging low from the tree she was just at. Without another thought, Blood went over and harshly ripped it out of the tree, adding to her amount of materials.

Blood's red eyes glared as she went from the swamp-like area of the first floor to the fields where the boars moved around freely for players to kill. Honestly, Blood wouldn't mind killing all of them for loot, but it was not fun enough for her to kill such insignificant creatures. She wanted to kill bigger things, but the way things are going is not good. In the future, Blood would need some health potions due to the fact that she won't be investing any of her skill points into tank-related skills. She was a pure damage dealer, and that means she shall destroy everything in her path without getting hit. Apples are the key to health potions and safeguards. In this world, there are plenty of apples scattered around, but the difficult part was not finding them. The difficult part was finding the right one, because not all of them are ripe enough for potions.

Blood knew that this was extremely tedious, and doing what she was doing resulted in her feeling very tired very soon. It had been a while since she last walked as much as she did like this, and it was definitely not a good sign because before, she would be able to walk this distance, heck, even run it without feeling the hint of tiredness. Perhaps she also had to move on and obtain some more utility skills so she can return to the way that she used to move without feeling tiredness. Kasier sighed. It seemed that she had finally drawn out the last of the resources in her surrounding area, therefore it was finally time for her to move on from the place and reach a new one. There, she will be able to obtain more resources. Blood smiled, she had gotten three already, so it was already a productive day.

It seemed that Blood had managed to find the jackpot. There were plenty of mushrooms in this moist part of the fields and each of them would be a great additional to her arsenal of poison. She was planning on always having poison at ready so she can use them at any time to defeat an opponent. Blood sighed, watching as the boars walked across the fields as the sun was getting ready to set. Blood smiled, the sun's setting was a beautiful scene, and the darkness that came along with it, was also of complete beauty as it would hide her from the unsuspecting dangers of the night time. Blood took out her katana once again, slicing the mushroom on the ground to uproot it from the hardened mud before picking it up and officially adding it as a special addition to her material inventory. She was finally starting to pile them up now.

Blood kept on watching out for mushrooms. They were of importance for her poison-oriented alchemy which she would like to get involved with on a later date. Blood smirked even harder than before as she was able to find a mushroom once again, making it twice in a row that she was able to discover a mushroom. Blood sighed, her red eyes glaring as the mushroom's reflection found its way into her eyes. She had done it, and with this, she would possibly make it into one of her many venom which can be used to kill her victims even more slowly than she would with the bleed effect. With all these damage over time attacks, she would be able to take the lives of many victims through slow suffering and destruction. Blood giggled, she was getting excited just thinking about it, and soon, she will be able to make her dreams come true.

Blood watched out into the distance, making sure that she didn't miss everything before she moved on to the next area. Material gathering sessions like this tended to be pretty boring, so Blood was not looking forwards to having this difficult material gathering session. Nevertheless, Blood knew that in the end, she would need mushrooms and warts of sorts to create the most poisonous poisons for herself, so this thought simply kept her going as it would be extremely useful in the future. Blood sighed, looking and scanning at the ground once more and picking up a mushroom and rooting it from the ground to keep it in her inventory. Blood smiled, inserting it into her inventory as she carried on with her material gathering session. For now, though, she was running out of things to think about and things to say. She needed to grind, but she really wasn't feeling up to it.

Blood decided to spend the rest of her day searching for materials that might help her in the future. She would need alchemy-related materials which would help her greatly on her goal to becoming one of the most venom-related players in this game. With her poison, she will strike, and become a queen of damage over time attacks. Blood sighed, finally putting the katana that she was grateful for. With the new weapon, she will be able to buy more powerful katanas and then use them to inflict even more damage over time attacks through the use of the bleeding enhancement and paralysis. What she wanted was a method of making targets unable to move, and then bombarding them with poison attacks. Blood smiled evilly, looking around at the environment before realizing that there was nothing before walking out closer to the safe zone in case she encounters anything dangerous to her.

Blood stood there for a while there with her new katana before realizing that the man had gone silent and appeared to be nonexistent. Perhaps he had gone away for some strange reason in the blank of an eye. The man was obviously a powerful player, and he had been the first one she had talked to for quite a long time now. The effort paid off, though, as this new katana would help her purposes drastically. Now, she can finally put into place her status infliction build and kill off monsters and players with her poison instead of just her boring, plain blade. Next, she would have to set up her alchemy station, and after that, she'll finally be ready to go with her build. The only thing left would be to grind for the skills that would certainly help her progress and become the most powerful killer in Aincrad.

  21. Blood smirked, her eyes savage as she looked into her inventory. Once again, at the completion of a quest, she had gone up more than one level and as a result, she had gotten far stronger than she was the day before. Now, she had the col that she can use to complete her set-up for the time being. She had thought that she had forgotten the sensation of killing, but she realized that she was wrong. Just the idea of killing was enough to draw saliva from her mouth, but after the killing was done, Blood realized that it was simply not enough to satisfy her. There were no real blood, and the red marks that represented it were not realistic enough to satisfy her carnal wishes. Killing slow, red trolls was too boring, so she needed something tougher to challenge, and in order to secure her own safety, she needed the equipment to do so. Blood's red eyes glared and illuminated the night of the seventh floor as she slowly walked to an artisan shop that she had heard of before. This was the first time that she had come on this floor, not that it would make a difference anyway. She was here to request for something and immediately get out, without even talking with the owner of the shop. The necessity at which her identity must be kept from spreading is far too important for her to risk giving herself away.

Smack was the sound that the door made when Blood forcefully taped a piece of paper with a nicely written note on it:

    Quote

    Mr. Artisan,

Please craft the ring that I will boost my accuracy. I have heard of your prices and have attached the payment below. Once you craft it, please leave it out so I can pick it up after the shop closes at night. I will check the door every night.

With that, she nodded and turned away. Once it was complete, she would go out with her new katana and several of her new equipment to fight tougher bosses and obtain better rewards. This was the pattern... Purchase and destroy. Soon, she shall reach the top, and there was not a single person who can do anything about it.

  22. Already familiar with the layout of the cave, Blood realized that it was far easier to exit the cave than enter the cave. Perhaps it was also designed this way so the tired players can just leave after finishing the quest and struggling in the dark. There must be a skill that lets her use the darkness to her advantage though, so Blood will definitely be looking into that once her damage is completely settled. She sighed, pulling out a bottle of water from her inventory before slowly gulping it down. She had been so focused and excited by the sensation of killing that she had forgotten about her own thirst that didn't even exist in the game... it was kind of a habit... to drink after a mission. Placing her serious face back on, Blood arrived at the quest giver's location, and traded in the jewel to receive a ring of accuracy as a reward. It wasn't good enough for her though, for it wasn't the max amount of accuracy she can obtain. And luckily for her, the result of the combat led to her discovering a katana, finally allowing her to unlock the Katana skill.

  23. Blood grabbed onto the jewel that she had been assigned to obtain. It didn't seem like anything special, except for the fact that it was glowing in the dark. Blood didn't know why there had to be a guardian for something that seemed almost useless, but she shrugged it off and put it into her inventory. With it, she can complete the quest and obtain the rewards from it... possibly even level up as a result. It had taken quite a large amount of her day, so she'll probably go grab something to eat, kill some boars on her own, and grind some more stats before going to sleep. The grind was going to be harsh, but in the end, it was what she will do if she wants to survive, and that is exactly what will happen as long as she can do something to prevent her death. She smiled, reaching the exit of the cave.
