Last year Cross Country: A pretty bad runner, but never came in last. This years track: Best in my school in distance! Well, besides one kid who has a hurt leg.

Yep! We run two laps before we actually start practice. I pass at least 75% percent of the people there. But, of course, I'm the only one that's devoted completely to running and has been running all year and cannot feel any pain. I try to make it seem like there is no pain inside. I still such at sprinting though. :(
