He would follow the group as they would exit the town of beginnings as he follows the group of four as he glances from one individual to the next as he processes the physical details that he can observe. 'Green crystals whatever that means, one Caucasian male, one dark skinned male, a Caucasian female, and lastly a male that looks of Asian descent at the very least i can get something the gender variable will be rather inadequate for this sample but it is the best i had for at least racial diversity.' He thinks to himself as he follows the group from a safe distance doing his best to stay rather low and avoid making to much noise which works rather well and in his favor since it seems that they aren't the type to be looking out to much behind them for people following them. He grins to himself at that since it means he can get close without worrying to much and stay within viewing range while also having a greater scope of the land to allow him greater safety from possible creature attacks.

--Flash back continued--
He walks around the town of beginning with a smile upon his face as he enjoys watching the players make their way around this new world enjoying the sights and sounds that it can produce for him as he calmly walks around till he spots a group that looks good enough for him to use as his test group of what seems to be four players. With a grin he makes his way into a nearby alleyway to hide from the players as he glances down towards his outfit and sees that it looks generic enough that he could get away with just following them for new players to accomplish similar goals seem like a rather likely scenario that he could play out and use to his advantage. Keeping an eye on the group of four he makes his way forward following the group of four that looks like they are heading out of the town as he just keeps an eye keeping details of their gender, approximate age, and ethnicity in mind since it would serve as a decent base to figure out how to study individuals in the future. 'To figure out the mental affects can be based on at least these three factors till i can afford to ask them questions since if they know i am viewing them they will change their behavior and thus won't act as natural as one would when not observed seemingly.'

He waits patiently to hear the final verdict for his little deal as he just faces forward away from the twins keeping an eye out for where the supposed elf's location or hideout should be located at having not been given any details form the blacksmith which means he is left to his own devices to figure out all the details which he doesn't mind too much. After all this is meant to be a game, and from what he can understand and knows about other games maybe not the most perfectly defined and made game compared to others out in the market. 'Though this is one of the first games that is produced for this machine and thus would have a few glitches and bugs they couldn't produce. Plus most developers are supposedly overworked and stressed just making games on the timeline that they're given.' He thinks to himself as he starts hearing one of the twins speak as he glances back to see that it is red. Well when it comes to buyers that is a bit of the issue if i may say. In the market i am going into and adding onto that fact i am new to this whole game as it is getting buyers will be difficult and will require me to get my name out their. Furthermore, in the merchant market you have a man named Shield who basically owns this little slice of Aincrad. However, given some time buyers will come, and so will my name's reach to other players to come towards my store since whoever this Shield is won't be the only merchant for long plus it will also come with some healthy competition towards the man. He says in a rather calm voice towards the woman in red speaking more so towards her than Kian from the simple fact that it is Ulaan who is being the primary speaker towards him.

With what he has acquired he starts to make his way back towards the main settlement as he takes out a small notebook and starts to flip through the pages looking through various people's names that has become his patients as he grins ever so slightly as he remembers the day where this all simply began. 'The day where everyone's lives went from great to hell.' He thinks to himself as he finds himself drifting off into thought as his walking slowly down only just ever so slightly is what he can notice before he starts to daydream while walking through the fields.
-Flashback-
He opens his eyes as he gazes around the area seeing a town made of stone and wood as he nods his head with a slight grin as he glances about at the various other players that he has taken notice of talking to one another. The loud buzz of words echoing throughout the area as he has entered the world of Aincrad the world of swords for a reason unlike the others. For the simple goal of studying these players and to just observe by trying to find a group that he can observe and use as his focus for his research. After all even though he himself can't study every player as much as he would want he can only hope others from his field had taken note of the unique opportunity that this game presents for studying possible increase in aggressiveness when exposed to a environment that makes one think they are killing creatures by being within first person mode and the graphics actively trying to mimic the real world.

He nods his head at what he hears as he glances towards the ground in some silent thought about how to approach this as he than looks back towards the sisters as an idea enters his mind one that he willing to take the gamble for. Well than how about we cut out ourselves a small little deal than? I am a man that is acquiring the skills to be more useful for things in the nature of crafting, and gathering materials and such. I am not a fighter if you two are able to defend yourselves by being combatants why not we make a simple deal. That whenever you choose your profession and when we work together any materials are yours all i ask for in return is that you would act in the manner of something akin to guards, and to take all unidentified things to my shop. Make sure that my lack in power and strength is made up for by the prowess of focusing scouting first. Since all i need for my profession is a bit of col since that is the cost for identifying things as a merchant. A little bit of a i help you, you help me scenario? He asks the twins willing to make the simple deal since at the very least the duo seem interesting enough when compared to other players he has had the misfortune of having to talk with before. Where others are bland and seemingly follow the same act and tell these two at least have a little bit of something different to make them worth hanging around with until that interesting spark dies down. He would wait patiently for the answer no matter how long it would take to hear an answer in some form during the walk towards the location of where this dark elf is meant to be located at.

He glances around as he holds onto his axe as he wonders what to do after this since he needs to start making some decent amount of col if he wants to get his shop off the ground as fast as possible which means he would need to find a way to advertise his shop, and than secondly find a way to make sure that he sells his products in some fashion to those who would need them. 'I could always buy my own product not like i am selling drugs where you don't test your own products.' He thinks to himself with a small chuckle at his rather poor in taste joke as he continues making his way forward as he spots another boor rush forward as he gets into a attack stance as he feels the system pull him into action as he slices through the enemy ending it within a singular attack as it drops another item as he glances at what he had received and chuckle to himself. Well than seems like i got every option except a shield or a trinket. He says in amusement at having gotten a diverse set of options presented to him.

He catches the slight change in the atmosphere and just nods his head taking note of that to make sure that he doesn't anger the incorrect parties during this exchange since it would surely end with his death if the twin sisters wanted to end him here and now. Well than if you ever need nicknames seems like you chose them yourselves. Purity, Violence. He says nodding towards Kian and than Ulaan when saying their respective titles they have given themselves as he watches the small performance with the daggers and chuckles softly finding this to cement within his mind that this is all some performance that the duo must've done quite a few times. So than if you don't mind me asking Kian, Ulaan. How good are the two of you with the combat within this game, and do you have in mind any kind of profession you would want to get while in this game? He asks as he turns his head back for only a moment to ask the shadow that his hat provides casting a slight shadow over the man's face before he turns back to looking forward to avoid bumping into anyone. Making his way out of the small little town of Delilah so that he can find the elf that this mission requires for him to get the supplies from somehow.

He continues to make his way through the stretched out grassy plains as he holds onto his two handed axe and takes some practiced swings with the weapon trying to understand how to even wield the item in question effectively. I should've maybe picked something less upper body demanding like this axe like one of those rapier. At the very least if i went with that it would be similar to fencing and thus wouldn't be as demanding upon my form, but at the very least i can get people fearful if i get the right little trinkets. He says softly to himself simply wanting to defend himself from the forces around him that would want to use and kill him like the killers that rest within the shadows. The man makes his way through the fields as he spots another small boar start charging towards him as he smirks slightly and gets into a battle position while gripping the axe tightly while watching the small creature rush towards him. 'And...now!" he thinks as he moves forward and swings the axe low cutting through the enemy once more dropping a unidentified weapon.

He glances around the area as he looks through the fields of the town of beginning he makes his way through the fields taking out his axe as he spots some signs of small boar pups that are roaming around as he gazes towards them being mindful of the fact they could kill him if he isn't careful. After all they had murdered someone if the monument of life is meant to be true and accurate with who murdered each person whose gotten their name crossed off of it. The young business man having kept himself up to date on the monument and having taken the most interested note on the notes of people murdering each other and yet the killers having not been caught in any fashion. 'Aereth is still around, and so is that mari girl which means their is no justice in this world just killers able to do as they desire. Cave man times possibly? They don't have any concise structure of society to try and maintain order.' he thinks to himself as he watches a boar run towards him as he grips the axe within his hands as he looks down towards the enemy and swiftly swings the axe downwards cutting into the boar as it hands him a unidentified gear as he nods his head and puts it back into his inventory.

He looks towards the one sister that has gotten rather close and he just looks at her with a slightly raised eyebrow and a amused smile across his face finding this at least slightly interesting and wondering slightly if this is just for the fun of it or if the woman is actually trying to get with him. Well a group of players are much safer than being a solo act the farther up the floors that you go, but don't expect me to be some kind of giant knight in shining armor. I am a business man i am working on that first before i actually try to do any of the combat within this game. He says as he glances between the two sisters as they talk in rather interesting synchronization as his eyes flicker from one to the other before nodding his head slowly having a working theory within his mind about the two. What a interesting act you must've practiced that quite a bit. I am willing to bet that you killed it during talent shows. He says in a joking tone towards the duo of woman before he starts to make his way towards the exit of the shop since there is a quest to complete. The man being taller than the two woman as  he has to look down towards them to speak. So than what might your names be? You may simply call me Dagger. He says as he equips his 2 handed axe that appears within his hand as he does so to simply show off the weapon before putting it away once more. Though that isn't my weaponry of choice ironic or not.

He glances towards the door as he hears it open to see two woman make their way into the shop for what he can only assume is going to be the quest that is located within the shop if the rumors that float from the loose lips of tavern goers are to be believed. He glances towards the NPC who nods his head towards the player as the man begins to speak once more as Dagger smiles hearing the words he had hoped to hear from the beginning. Got the details written down. Now than go find that elf and get my items back so i can make your gear. Now than besides him are you wanting the same deal missy? The NPC asks the woman that had walked up and started talking to Dagger as he gazes towards the woman and catches the subtle undertones and chuckles softly and allows himself to glance over her entire body to get a good look at what she is wearing and what her body looks like. Well i am about to head out on a quest if you would want to join me i wouldn't be saying no to such a request. He says in a polite tone of voice towards the woman as he glances back towards the other one who hasn't said a word though looks eerily similar to the woman he has talked to and is beside him. Well than either today the devil's luck has been created to form a clone in this shop, or you are this woman's twin be it fraternal, or identical. The man says with a chuckle having not given out his name as of yet.

He makes his way through the city until he eventually breaks out into the wide open area that is the outside the safezone as he quickly equips his two handed axe as he holds onto the weapon with both of his hands gritting his teeth at the rather surprising weight behind the object within his hands. Seems like i'll need to practice attacking first for self defense before i could move onto anything for even just searching items in general. He says with a slow sigh escaping his lips as he grips the weapon and goes for an overhead strike towards the ground as he quickly finds himself off balance as the axe swings down and cuts into the ground. A deep cut now within the ground as he finds himself trying to free the axe with some difficulty as he tries to pull the weapon free with just his arms quickly tiring himself out with very little success. The green cloaked man falls onto his ass as he opens his inventory and puts the axe back into his inventory by pressing unequip button therefore freeing him from that responsibility. Though making him realize he legitimately has no chance for being any good within combat with the way his combat experience is at the moment. So the idea that the game can just guide you isn't true, or i haven't done the correct motions to proct the game's guidance. Either way i should post pone from entering a fight until i can know how to deal with the foes that will be waiting me. I'll just have to make deal with being faster and stronger than what the enemy can dish out.

He nods his head towards the kid and starts to take his leave heading towards the most common place where one could make use of finding some nice unidentified gear and that is scrounging around the area near the town of beginnings where players might drop them due to not finding any use in them. However, from the scraps of others he will be able to rise to strength in the form of just monetary compensation along with having a plethora of unique items at his disposal that he could than see what will become of those he sells off. After all there is plenty of attempts to make, and many different uniques for players to gain. He looks ahead finding himself moving forward as he makes his way through the town as he glances around from one player to the next at a rather relaxed pace taking his time to enjoy the last moments he will be on this floor as long as he can help it. 'Though to make the most use out of myself i will need to find some partners...bodyguards or something of the like to form a symbiotic relationship with.' He thinks to himself idly as he glances towards a group of players talking ot one another catching brief words and mentions of various quests on higher floors than what is provided by this floor. 'I should get some mitigation and thorns to help me survive after i get me some well deserved help in finding things type of items.'

Dagger continues to make his way through the town of beginning to do this quest that is meant to get him a profession and supposedly also been designed differently recently, and with that his interest has been piqued to try and see what makes this version better than the last. The going to be merchant makes his way through the town looking for this supposed NPC that should be around that would wander into you if you would accept their version of the quest in one way or the other. He doesn't need to wait long as some child runs up to him and starts to speak to him Dagger can only smile at how swiftly this is being taken care of as he waits patiently for the child to finish speaking. "Want to get some good loot? If so follow me and i can show you how to identify something as long as you can get the loot yourself." The kid says as he just nods his head figuring that it would have to be this case since by the end that is all it would matter to get loot, identify it, make a profit by doing so and all he would have to do is go and kill a few mobs most likely to get the small bits of loot that would be lying around. Don't worry i'll be back after all systems need to be broken, and profit needs to be turned. He says with the faintest chuckle of amusement as if told a joke only he had heard.

He enters the small blacksmith shop with his hands by his side with one hand holding onto the two handed axe that he calls his weapon, but in reality is just a matter of trying to look tough more so than anything else since he has no such skills that could actually make him intimidating if anybody knew what he picked for his skill. He gazes forward to find a human male running the shop with a woman not that far off as he gazes towards the man whose arms are crossed and looks rather unpleasant. I heard that you gave free gear for the right price. Call me interested. He say with a slight smile as he watches as the man lets out a low coarse angered sound as the blacksmtih leans forward towards Dagger as Dagger returns the look. Look kid, I would if i could but some elf went and took my goods. If you want to get your armor than go get the materials from the elf, but first give me a description of what you want so i know what to prep for kid. The gruff voiced man says as Dagger just nods his head playing along with the system since the more gear he can get for himself the better he can use it to increase his odds of getting loot. A cloak like the one i am wearing sir that would be the perfect fit for myself make it lightweight, but make it also so that it doesn't obscure my view of what is around me. He says towards the blacksmith who starts drawing and writing down details for himself unable to tell which as he simply waits for the go ahead to leave.

The man simply known by his username of Dagger makes his way out of the tavern closing the door behind him instantly muffling the loud noise that is coming from inside as he than turns around to take stock of the outside world. Well as outside world as being trapped in a video game can get oneself out of, but even than he is not going to let this opportunity for some time in the lap of luxury escape him. With the added bonus he has had enough of studying the scared children within the taverns to get a indeph view of their mental disorders and fears that plague their mind, and of course than helping them for a monetary cost that he can get for his services after all he didn't go into this business for helping others out of the kindness of his heart. He did it for learning how people tick and if he can make some coin off of that little fact than he will do so in a heartbeat as swiftly as one could do so. After all it is just a game in the end and who cares if a few hearts and spirits need ot break along the way.

He makes his way down the steps as he listens the sounds of the arguing and loud rabble of the players that have come back from their mid day adventures and bring tales of arrogance and boisterous noise that is better left to their quiet secluded rooms. People will be people. He says softly to himself as the green clothed individual continues to make his way through the crowd keeping a firm grip upon his hat with his right hand as his left hand is still ready to equip his axe at a moment's notice to tear anybody that gets in his way. As he makes his way through the crowd he gazes towards the sight of the tavern owner and makes his way over towards the man as he takes out a small bit of col and puts it upon the man's counter as he gazes towards him with a slight nod of his head. A little extra for your troubles. He says with a grin as he drops a bit extra hoping the man catches on the fact he is paying him for some silence about his own whereabouts. Not willing to leave a easy trail for killers to follow if he is somehow their target.

He steps upon the third floor exiting the teleport gate as he gazes around the area a slight grin crossing his face as he does so seeing a multitude of elves and humans walking about as he spots a few of the humans actually being players talking amongst one another about one thing or the other. He himself having just come to this floor to observe from the back and enjoy the show that this floor could give him if it could even manage to hold his attention for long, but he is willing to put a gamble on such a thing from having heard of this floor having some mythical monsters and even a nice easy quest to get some free gear. 'The best kind of gear.' He makes his way towards the blacksmithing place at a steady pace the man raising a white gloves hand with golden pieces of metal over the knuckles to pull down his greed hat ever so slightly. The hat being in the design of something akin to a fedora with the coloration being a darker green color. He gazes from one player to the next with hazel colored eyes as he arrives at the blacksmiths home the beginning of a quest. A small smile passes upon his lips as he clicks one last button as he equips a two handed battle axe as he enters the shop. 'Time to gather up some nice loot if i can get my hands on it.'

The man makes his way forward as his gloved hand grasps the door as he turns the knob and opens the creaky door as he steps out into the hallway as he gazes from one side to the next carefully not wishing to make the mistake of letting a Vagabond enter his room for the night as he closes the door behind him and locks the thing to make sure only he himself can enter. With that accomplished he starts to make his way down the hall his shoes creating a nice thud with every step as his right hand goes up towards the golden medallion keeping his cloak draped around his shoulders as his thumb toys with the golden piece of metal sliding over the thing over and over. His left hand fiddling with a menu with his hand obscured by the green cloak as he has himself ready to equip his axe to teach any unsuspecting ruffian a lesson he shan't forget soon. 'First and foremost though is to get myself a nice little jump in my profession of choice afterall when it comes to merchanting all i have to do is beat out the top man's prices and voila i get the reputation and the better business. With all i need to do is just make it slightly more expensive than the bottom line. With that he will have no choice to make no profit off of his business, or match me.'

He gazes out from his little home within the tavern upon the first floor within the town of beginnings the player lets out a slow deep exhale of frustration as he leans back against his window as he gazes out towards the town watching the sight of various players talking...chattering to one another. His hazel colored eyes gazes down towards the outside having heard the latest news that seems to always get spread and eventually get spoken upon the lips of the tavern goers down inside that a boss has happened, a floor has opened up, and more importantly for him that he could use a new opportunity to gain some useful items. His fingers glide through the air as he presses a few buttons upon his inventory as he activates them as he feels the familiar cloth go against his skin as he holds a hat within his hands before putting it on with a smile. I believe it is time to become a merchant. A british like accent escapes the voice of the man as he starts making his way towards the door of his room within the inn.

Backstory:

Dante was named after the the hero from the novel of Dante's inferno the man having been named as such only for the simple fact that his mother had loved the story and practically seemed to know the book from front to back without issue. Dante had a rather simple childhood of what would be typical for a middle class individual, but as he grew up there was a few games that had caught his attention and that he loved to play which was those that involved trying to read and understand others. The simple fact of having to learn about those around him piqued his interest and would later become the basis for his wonderment with his career choice and path later within life. Until than though he enjoyed such games of trying to bluff others and simply played for the fun of it never being one for gambling or betting the odds of his life or money that could put him within danger financially having been the type to save up as many pennys as he could to make sure that every cent can count when it came down to buying things.  The man having spent his life doing this and eventually grew out of playing some simple games of cards though still held interest in the ideals of why people worked the way they did by the very end of it, and more so delighted in opportunities for games of debates and analyzing. The man during his highschool years having joined such things as debate club, and philosophy having participated and watched in interest through the various debates that would take place.

When he entered college he would join similar clubs while also going for a degree in psychology having become more so than a little bit interested in the human condition and trying to understand why people develop the way that they do and the affects it takes for people to get to where they are in life. Having studied within college and getting his degree eventually the man named Dante when he would hear about the world and game of SAO and the technology that accompanies it couldn't help but want to buy one for himself for the simple fact it would be a opportunity of a lifetime. To join within the experience himself while also seeing first hand the various players and the experiences that they have had. Not being a man that is a stranger to video games from the fact that he has played various games during his own development upon a computer having focused more so though on games that were single player rather than multiplayer like SAO would be for certain. Though when he had entered the game he had came in with the question of if having multiple consciousnesses within a game would affect one another on a sub-conscious level. However, after the announcement that they were all trapped within the game the question had changed instead to how the various ages of people would deal with this change to basically being within a new world. How closely would these people start to mimic the reality and society of the world outside of this one?

The man having spent three years interviewing and talking to various people within the town of beginning about their current state within the game and what they think is happening and having even spent some time as a therapist to some of the more unfortunate players with varying degrees of success for himself due to not having goen to college for clinical psychology. Since he was more of a developmental one if anything though that didn't stop him from trying at the very least since some help is better than none within his eyes though that is to say he never did any of this for free. The man was still a business man even than since he needed to survive in this world and thus had been payed monetarily for his services with col.
