"Really?! That'd be great" Drayna beams happily.

With the second wolf almost dead, she could almost imagine the quest reward screen for a moment before her train of thought was interrupted by the growling of her target. She brings her sword across her body, aligning the blade, before swinging it up and slicing the front of the wolf as it makes its move. The wolf staggers and growls fiercely, staring Drayna in the eyes "I know how you feel, not being able to do anything. It's not fair us adventurers waltzin' in 'ere, killin' all your mates. I know, it really isn't but it's not fair on us either. We're trapped 'ere, we never asked for this but that's how it is. We just wanna go home, so please...just die already...that way at least you'll be free" Drayna stares back at the wolf with an understanding look in her eyes. She doesn't know what the wolfs are saying of course but she feels as if she understands regardless, after all, she knows fear all too well.

 "T-thank you~"  Drayna smiles back, having trust in Kityuisa's words, her fears of losing herself quelled for the moment. 

All about survival. That's right, this no place to be scared. With Yui I can fight, I can survive. No more bein' scared, it's time to go all out! I won't lose myself to this world! Drayna thinks deeply before snapping her eyes onto the wolf, smiling happily. "My turn...let's go!" Drayna dashes forward, putting her thoughts into her sword she strikes. Monsters are trapped in their programming just as we're trapped in this game so in a way, I'm doing them a favour. After all, I'm killing them with love, not hatred.

Her sword gracefully glides through the wolf as her technique comes back to her, not realising how creepy it looks, she was smiling happily the entire time. "Hey, hey Yui~ Maybe I should come back and tame one of these sometime, they're cute~"

Drayna looks up at Kityuisa, tears still running down her face "...not...real..." she wipes her tears with the back of her hand "...I...need to be...stronger". She nods as Kityuisa ruffles her hair, her eyes still quivering slightly "U-Umu~ I...wanna help...everyone escape..." she slowly stands back up "...but...I'm scared...that if I stop feeling this pain...I'll...become no better than them. A moment ago I...I got carried away...that's why...if I'm gonna keep fightin'...I want you...if I get like that again...if I get carried away...I want you to snap me out of it...".

She turns to look at the wolf Kityuisa had just attacked "Yui...thank you...if it wasn't for you I'd...I'd probably have died scared and alone" Drayna wipes her eyes again then goes for an attack on the second wolf.

Still slightly shaken up by what happened before, and scared of getting carried away, her technique was off and she misses by an inch. Drayna looks at the wolf and says softly "I'm sorry...about your friend...about what we have to do...it's not your fault..."

Drayna looks up at Kityuisa and nods, taking her hand and standing up "Umu~ I'll finish doggie off, for reals this time~" she gives Kityuisa a smile before they go after their targets. Drayna locks her eyes on the wolf, its health in the red, and waits for it to come at her again. "I'm sorry about this doggie, but...you're gonna have to die now~" she says with a smile, not realising just how creepy that sounds.

As the wolf comes at her she sidesteps and bears down with her blade, as she does so an image flashed in her mind. She remembers how scared the wolf acted just a few minutes ago. Tears begin to flow as her sword digs deeper in the wolf.

Drayna falls to her knees crying as the wolf shatters around her "It was...scared of me...ME...I SCARED IT...I...I...I KILLED IT!!" only now was she beginning to process everything that was going on, even though it was a monster, even though it was for a brief moment...she struck fear into something and killed it.

"Here doggie, doggie~" she says gleefully as the wolf comes running back to her. At this point, Drayna was beginning to get a bit carried away, with so much going on for her mind to process she was falling back less and less on her "tough girl persona" the longer the battle went on. In a sense, this was her true self, but as seen with her menacing smile before, even this side of her was affected by the trauma that being trapped in this world induced.

"Sorry about this Mr. Doggie~" as soon as those words left her mouth her smile once again changed into something more malevolent "But you're gonna have to die now~" she says as her blade is swung at the wolf

Due to getting carried away Drayna trips before the edge of her sword makes contact with the wolf, causing her to fall on her behind. She curses as she hits the ground "Grrrgh~ Screw you Kayaba, was trippin' really necessary!?"

She looks up at Alec "Huh? Me...dangerous? You really think so? I mean I did do recreational sword-fighting in real life, I was really good at it too...but...in here...I'm not too sure" she laughs a bit, the idea of her being dangerous seemed to amuse her but she didn't seem opposed to the idea either. She thinks on it for a moment, she thinks about what she could be capable of if she applied her real-life skill to the game, what she could do if she was a higher level, what she could do if she was strong. While she lets her head run wild a smile comes across her face for a very brief moment, however, it's not a normal smile but a rather menacing one.

After snapping back to reality she quickly turns and looks up at Athena with a little twinkle in her eye "Soooo~ What about you Athena? What's your role?" she asks, giggling slightly.

Drayna nods her head "Uh-huh~ I'll take this one" she says as she looks over at her target. Considering her current track record, Drayna wasn't actually that confident in her ability to hit but she knew she had to at least try and finish a target herself if she was to get any better. "Oi~ Doggie! Over 'ere" Drayna puts on her tough girl act and shouts at the wolf, getting it to run at her. She smiles menacingly as if something had finally clicked in her head "That's right...a little closer you STINKIN' MUTT!!"

Just like before the wolf leaps at Drayna as she swiftly steps to the side.

The wolf whimpers as Drayna's sword cuts vertically through the wolf's side, causing it to lose balance as it lands and trip. Drayna walks over to the wolf as it gets back up "Still alive, ha?" she flicks her sword and points it at the wolf, causing it to whimper and runoff in the direction of Kityuisa.

"It's headin' your way Yui! Send it back at me and I'll finish it" Drayna shouts over to Kityuisa and from the sound of her voice, she's having fun.

Drayna smiles and blushes slightly as Kityuisa rubs the top of her head "T-thanks~" she says softly. Drayna then watched as Kityuisa finished off the Warg, its body shattering into millions of tiny fragments "Ah~ Way to go Yui!" she jumps up in excitement, forgetting about the wolves for a brief moment. It's then that she hears Kityuisa's voice and switches back to her serious mode "On it! I'll give it all I've got!" as the wolf launched by Kityuisa closes on Drayna she readies her weapon, preparing to strike. Drayna stands still, weapon ready, as the wolf leaps at her "Hyaa!" she quickly steps to the side and swings her blade.

Drayna misjudged the speed at which the wolf was moving and only cuts a tuft of fur off the end of the wolf's tail. The wolf turns around and growls at her "Heh~ S-sorry about your tail Mr. Doggie~" once again Drayna switches back to her childish mode. Back in the real world Drayna never had a serious mode, even when she duelled she was always playing around, laughing and giggling. In SAO, however, she became so scared that she had to develop a serious mode as a type of coping mechanism just so she could fight. In time she might not need it but, for now, at least, she has this flip-flopping personality.

(OOC) I like to imagine eventually Drayna's just going to giggle and smile the entire time as she kills monsters. Then I get to break her all over again if she gets into trouble. God I'm so mean to my own characters lol

Drayna walks into the shop, gazing all around her with a huge smile on her face "Wow, floor 11 is so pretty" she says softly to herself. This is the first time she's ever been this high in Aincrad, let alone on her own, but Drayna's come a long way since she left the Town of Beginnings. She had learned about the shop from Kityuisa who recommended she buys the Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies. As she reaches the counter she quickly opens the menu to retrieve 900col in item form "There we go, that should be enough" she does her usual "boop" of the logout button before swiping the menu away and then peers over the counter "E-erm hello? I'd like the Perfect Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies please"

"Thank you~" with her new purchase paid for she happily skips out the store with a big smile on her face

Drayna starts thinking deeply about what she wants to become in this world Hmm, what DO I wanna be? I'm rather scared of fightin' but I still wanna be able to help people as she walks alongside everyone she looks around for inspiration when a player-owned blacksmith stall catches her eye. "A blacksmith" she says out loud, jumping up and down slightly "I wanna be a blacksmith, I wanna be able to help people even when I'm not fightin'" she says with excitement "Plus...if I had my own weapon, with MY name on it...maybe I'd be less scared" she giggles at her slightly silly reasoning. Despite being able to smile and laugh with her new friends, deep down Drayna is still petrified of monsters, still petrified of dying.

She unsheathes the curved sword from its scabbard, on the left side of her belt, and holds it in front of her, one hand on the handle and one hand on the bottom of the blade. The sword itself it a basic curved sword and not very impressive by any means, as its the one she got at the start of game two years ago, but it's hers. "As for my combat role I was thinking an EVA build DPS using a Curved Sword and no shield...well, that's what I was thinking before I got trapped here anyway"

Drayna watched as Kityuisa got thrown by the Warg "Y-Yui!" without thinking Drayna runs over but is stopped by the Warg. The poisonous mutt stares at her, growling, it's eyes filled with killing intent. Drayna growls in return "Get! Out! Of! My! WAAAYY!" she makes a sudden dash to the right side of the Warg. Once again bringing her sword across her body, aligning the edge, she goes for a strike "How 'bout this!"

As Drayna dashes across the side of the Warg, it attempts to bite onto her blade. Unlike the last time, however, the oversized mutt was too slow. Dashing forward, she cuts horizontally down the entire length of the Warg.

Drayna runs over to Kityuisa with a worried look in her eyes "Yui! Y-you OK? When that big doggie got your blade I was kinda worried" Drayna's fiery demeanour from before was once again replaced by her usual, childish way of speaking.

"Three-headed dog? Like Cerberus? The higher floors sound scary" being a fan of fantasy fiction, anime and video games, she was all too familiar with the mythical beast. Though I guess it could be worse, she thought to herself, it could be a hydra. At the same time, Drayna opened her menu and formed a party of 4. Before she closes the menu fully she once again "boops" the blank logout button. Maybe deep down she thinks that one day it'll somehow work again, that if she keeps pressing it, she might have a chance of going home.

"Right, let's go see that alchemist! Hopefully, he isn't too mad I took this long to accept his quest" Drayna giggles and puffs out her "chest", pointing her finger down the road back into the centre of the Town of Beginnings, in truth she doesn't actually remember the way to the alchemist so she's just guessing.

Drayna nods at Kityuisa "Mmm, switch!" Drayna dashes forward towards her target upon giving the word, she'd seen and heard other players initiate a switch before but never thought she'd get to do one herself. "Its health's super low, we can do this!" once again she readies her weapon, aligning her blade-edge to ensure a solid cut. She wasn't too sure how detailed the combat simulation actually was but she did so anyway, just to be sure.

"Here I go!" despite not having enough energy to initiate a sword skill that didn't seem to bother her all that much, after all, back in the real world she never had a system like this to fall back on.

Unfortunately for Drayna, the Warg isn't anything like the opponents she's duelled irl, it's much more nimble than any normal person and as such it makes an unexpected move and narrowly avoids her attack. "Grrgh! Just sit still you oversized mutt!" she pouts childishly at the beast that outplayed her, its health firmly in the red.

As Drayna hears Kityuisa laughing as well, she can't help but smile "Alright, third time's a charm" once again she runs at the Warg, this time checking for roots to avoid tripping up. As she runs towards her target she brings her sword across her body preparing to attack, since her sword only has a single edge she needs to make sure she strikes with the correct side.

Drayna's sword slices through the Warg's side with more power than she expected "Did I...do that?!?" she takes two hops back as to avoid staying too close to the Warg "It's health didn't appear to go down all that much but...that felt SO cool" Drayna appears to be getting the hang of combat and as such a look of confidence grows on her face, a look that quickly disappears when the Warg turns its head to face her. "**** I made it angry didn't I?" even Drayna knows that an attack from that thing would be game over, literally. "Yui! I think I may have made it angry!" she gulps nervously and brings her sword in front of her, taking a defensive stance that, with their difference in power, is more of a reassurance than actual defence.

As Drayna stood there, she watched as Kityuisa dashed forwards as such speed she appeared invisible, attacking the Warg with a weapon she can't even see W-wow...I...I want to be like that seeing Kityuisa fend off the wolfs and the Warg filled her with amazement and as she heard her words she snapped out of her fearful state. Gripping her sword tight she calls out "Yui! I'll fight!"

Steeling her resolve she once again dashes at the Warg, this time bringing her sword across her body and goes for slash on the side of the Warg "I can do this!"

As she runs at the Warg she trips on a stray root sticking up from the ground "Heh- Kyaaaa! ****" she curses as she rolls across the ground but slowly gets back up "Huh, no pain...that's convenient" she looks over at Kityuisa and shouts "I'm fine Yui! Just tripped" she laughs for a brief moment but stops when she remembers she's in a fight

Hearing that Alec has a tank build reassured Drayna, if she goes with these three there's no way she could possibly die here, is what she thinks to herself. As for her own build, Drayna wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to go with but one thing she was sure on is that she'd love to make weapons and armour for people. Being able to help people while still being inside a safe-zone was a very appealing idea to Drayna.

"T-thank you...everyone" still smiling, Drayna opens the menu and navigates to her empty friends-list "Finally, I'm not gonna be alone anymore" she says to herself as she adds the three to her friends-list. While she still has the menu open she glances down at the options section, without even thinking she opens it and pokes the blank space where the logout button used to be "Boop" naturally nothing happens and she closes the menu quickly, mildly embarrassed. For whatever reason, this was a ritual that Drayna developed in order to entertain herself. Since the logout button did nothing but bleep she'd try poking it every time she had the menu open, making a "boop" sound whenever she did.

Quickly brushing off her little ritual she turns to Alec "A quest...I think I remember an alchemist who was givin' 'em out when I first got here...I feel kinda bad that I turned him down back then, I was thinking we could do that one" she looks around at everyone and smiles. For once she's actually enjoying her time in SAO

Drayna takes the Overhealth potion from Katyuisa "T-thanks, I'll make good use of it"

As she takes the potion and adds it to her inventory four bright lights appear just a few feet away from the two girls. As the light shoots upwards from the ground it reveals a Venom Snapper and three Wolves. "The quest objective!!" Drayna shouts out, grabbing the handle of her sword and pulling it just enough to loosen it from its sheath. "Now we have a plan, now I'm not alone...I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!!" having hyped herself up, she runs at the Venom Snapper, fulling unsheathing her sword "Just remember how you used to fight in the real world back at the sword-fighting club!! You've got this"

Drayna's attack flies right past the Venom Snapper "W-wha..." Drayna turns to see the monster she just failed to even glance with her sword staring at her, its growl sending shivers down her spine "I-I should've just stayed at home. I should never've come to Japan, I should never've bought this damned game" Drayna is once again filled with the same fear she felt on that fateful day two years ago, the day she was told that death in SAO equals death in real life.

Drayna crouches down near the Bear cub "I can see why he's popular" she says to Alec as she pets the Bear gently on the head. At the same time, she can't help but think about what Athena said Two years...I can't believe it's been that long Drayna sighs and mutters to herself "I've been standin' here, starin' out into the field every day..." as she gets up she hears Athena say something that makes Drayna's eyes light up. "Y-you'd come with me?!? I've been wantin' to go outside every day since I got here but...as everyone here saw, I never had the courage to do so" as she talks a bright smile forms across her face and tears well up in her eyes. She hasn't smiled like this in Aincrad before and for the first time, she feels like she might be able to go outside the gate without running away.

As she wipes her eyes with her hands, she turns to Alec and Kirbs "Would you guys be able to come with me too?" she asks meekly, as she's unsure how to ask other players to join her party. In the two years that she's spent stuck in the Town of Beginnings, the three players that she's with now are the first players she's ever spoken too.

"Medieval Europe ha? It does kinda remind me of the really old villages dotted aroun' England" she smiles, reminiscing about home "I only visited a few since I live in the city and I didn't travel all that much but...the ones I did see...this makes me feel more at home" as Drayna's reminiscing about home she realised something, something that sent a shiver down her spine and a tremble to her voice "D-did you just say there're i-insects on this floor?" Drayna cringes and shakes her head from side to side childishly "I-I hate insects, they're angin' and gross and get all up in my face. No, no, no, no" shaking that thought off Drayna opens her map and stares at the point marked by the quest "So...how far out is this thing anyway? A-also, w-we're not gonna 'ave to fight any insects...a-are we?" Drayna asks Kityuisa almost dreading the answer to the second question

She looks at everyone one after the other, making note of their names in her mind, then she turns back to Alec "It's fine, it's my fault for spacin' out like that" she looks over at the bear cub and smiles, her true personality breaking through her fear and anxiety for just a brief while "I've never seen a bear up close before *laugh* it's real cute". It's at that moment that her eyes drift a little bit more to the side, not too much but just enough for her to finally notice the wall. The outside wall. Her eyes and head follow the frame of the gate from one side to the other before her eyes go wide and a look of mild panic comes across her face "Eh...EHHHH!!" she quickly darts back inside before letting out a sigh of relief.

Back inside the safe zone she turns to Athena and asks her a single question "How long has it been...since we got trapped 'ere?" she stands there looking up at Athena, her previous look of fear and anxiety returning.

After Gatsly finished explaining the details of the task that Drayna and Kityuisa were to embark on, they begin heading towards the point that was now marked on their map. Drayna, having never been to Floor 2 before, or anywhere else besides the areas around the Town of Beginnings for that matter, cannot help but gaze around at her surroundings like a kid in a candy store. "Wow, I would never've seen stuff like this if hadn't left the Town of Beginnings" she says to herself with seemingly endless energy, almost as if she'd forgotten the fact that the quest they had accepted was, in fact, a kill quest.

Still looking everywhere but the direction she's going Drayna starts talking to Kityuisa at a very fast and energetic pace "So, Kityuisa- er, Yui- Can I call you Yui? How much of Aincrad 'ave you seen? What kinda stuff's on this floor? How many floors have you been to? *Energetic Squeal* I've got too many questions"

Drayna hears the sound of someone behind her. "Quite the view, isn't it? How's your day going?" says the man as he walks over and stands beside her.
"Huh?" she turns slightly to see a six and a half foot tall man. No sooner did she see him than she hears the sound of an animal on her other side, she turns her head quickly to see an American black bear cub standing right beside her. "KYYAAA!!" startled, Drayna jumps forwards and turns around, not even realising that she'd crossed the threshold of the safe zone.
"W-who're you? You made me jump fer a second there" she says to the man, seemingly snapped out of her previous state but still obvious to the fact that she was now outside the gate of the Town of Beginnings.

At some point between the man and his cub approaching Drayna and her turning around startled two girls had joined them, one with bright red hair and the other with beady brown eyes. The red-headed girl turned to Drayna introducing herself as Kirbs, the other, asking if everything was ok.

"E-erm...I'm Drayna...DraynaRue" as she introduces herself meekly to the three players a smile briefly forms across her face.

How many days have I repeated this cycle? This cycle of doing nothing but standing here...I lost track a long time ago.
Drayna thinks to herself as she stands in front of the gate leading out from the Town of Beginnings.
"A single step...why can't I at least manage that much?"
She whispers to herself, trembling slightly as she slowly takes a step forward.
"Just a step...just one..."
As her foot touches the ground her vision blurs slightly and she begins shaking as she remembers how she felt that fateful day 2 years ago.
"I just want to go home...I don't...I DON'T WANNA DIE!!"
She stands there frozen in place, one foot outside the safe zone, tears beginning to stream down her face. Yet, she doesn't move, she just stares. She stares at the world beyond the safe zone like she has done each and every day, for 2 years. Except this time, this day, she won't run away. Today is the day she leaves the Town of Beginnings, today is the day she plays the game she travelled all this way to play. Naturally, Drayna being Drayna, she forgot to even grab a quest.

[OOC] If anyone wants to join in on Drayna's first adventure outside the gate, that'd be great :) the next post will probably be either later tonight (06:04pm is my time as of this post) or some time tomorrow, as I'm posting this then going out. I'll see y'all on the field :)
