  1. James waited patiently as he waited for his sister to change into her gear. When she opened her door to reveal herself in full armor, he said, "You look wonderful, sis." He smiled. Then she asked where to head to first. Oh, geez. I didn't even check that... Quickly, he pulled up the menu and read through the quest once more. "Uh, it says we need to head to the master Alchemist named Zachariah." He pulled up his map and marked the location where the NPC would be that would give him his quest.

Once he made sure that both he and Joanne were ready to head out, he lead the way to a small alchemy shop near the middle of town. They made it to the shop after only a minute or so of walking through the main town. "Alright, you can wait here while I fetch that quest," he said as he headed inside the shaded shop.

"Ah, hello there!" Zachariah greeted him.

"Hello, sir," James said politely. "I've come to carry out that quest you posted."

"Ah, yes! The beginners quest," Zachariah said. "Yes, I just need you to gather 5 materials and then return to me. Then I will show you how to make some potions."

James quickly accepted the quest and stepped out of the shop, walking over to his sister Joanne. He quickly explained the quest to her.

  2. James woke up and readied himself for the day in his private loft/apartment above his shop. Once he walked downstairs, he noticed how nice of a day it was. The perfect day to get those beginners quests out of the way, he thought to himself, content with the thought. He wondered if his sister would be interested in joining him.

He climbed back up the stairs and knocked on her door. "Hey, Joanne! Would you like to join me in the <<The First Few Lessons Are Free>> quest?" he asked through the wooden door. She should already be up by now, he thought to himself as he waited for her to open the door. And his assumption was proved correct as he heard some foot steps approached the door from the other side. I hope I didn't wake her up from a good rest, he thought to himself all of a sudden. Gah, why hadn't he considered that before he knocked?! He hoped she wouldn't be upset or anything due to him being up this early and knocking on her door.

  4. James jumped in surprise as Violet dashed into his shop unexpectedly. Though his surprised expression was soon replaced by a soft smile as he looked down and examined the items the woman had brought in. He listened intently as she told him how she came across these items and that she was becoming a merchant. "Congratulations! Welcome to the merchant world," he gave a soft chuckle. Then he waved goodbye as she left to go get her usual lunch. He knew she would be back in exactly one hour, so he set to work identifying the items right away.

After he finished identifying the items, he waited for Violet to come back. He had finished just 5 minutes ahead of schedule.

  5. James looked up at the necklace that the young man had pointed to. Ah! The object I identified earlier, he remembered as he took it off of its shelf and handed it to the man. "Here you go. Please feel free to come back if anything about the item isn't to your liking." His voice was soft and shy and his smile sincere. He bowed back to the man as he watched him leave the shop.

Now what to do with the rest of my free time... James thought to himself as he began to dust off the shelves in his corner of the shop.

  7. James jumped as the woman silently approached him. She always had a manor of moving quickly and quietly. Probably from a certain type of life in the real world, he thought to himself. He smiled all the same as she laid down her items and filled out the paper. "I'll have them ready for you in about an hour and a half," he said as she turned to leave the shop.

Then he set to work, studying the properties of both the armor and the handkerchief carefully. Once he felt that he was ready, he applied the enchantments and sent a message to Violet to let her know that her items were ready to be picked up.

  8.  "These are lures, Break them and a leveled monster will come you out of nowhere, but make sure not to break too many at a time, it can and will spawn a boss monster if not careful with the item. While you do that and use the lures, I want you to use them safely, DON'T use them on a player, a monster will attack that player then Second, Don't lure the monster to other players."

James carefully took the lures from Ennakai, looking at them closely before nodding his head in understanding. "Alright, I'll only use one at a time," he said, smiling down at Ennakai. He quickly put the nine other lures in his inventory and then cracked open the first one. A large brown bear appeared in front of him. James prepared himself to attack. Charging forward, his spear met the claws of the large beast. The beast pushed the spear away, sending James rolling out of the reach of the beast with the momentum.

  10. James looked up from his work at the sound of Violet's voice. "Oh, hello!" he greeted her as she walked up to his counter. He quickly walked over and looked over the piece of armor, noting its exceptionally dark shade of black. "Alright, I should have this ready for you in roughly an hour. A great amount of time to get a lunch indeed," he said, smiling and looking down at the young woman.

After an hour of being bent over the armor, identifying its enchantments carefully, James was finally finished. He messaged Violet and let her know that her armor was ready to pick up.

  11. James sat there and let out another long sigh, trying to process everything that had just happened. Then he began to laugh. "You are an odd one, I'll give you that," he said smiling, taking his hand to stand up. "Aoki." He stood up and shook his head, looking up at the sky. "What a strange world we live in." He then reached down and pat Aoki on the head. "And what an interesting one you are," he said softly, blushing. He wouldn't lie to himself, he had enjoyed that hug, and he did find Aoki attractive regardless of how they identified.

He took a moment to stretch and then thought for a moment, trying to decide what to do next. Then he spoke. "Though, between you and me, I prefer hunting to just plain old searching for materials. It's more fun for me that way." He laughed and took his weapon out, resting it on his shoulder. "If you would like to follow along, you may. I can hunt while you gather. How does that sound?"

  12.  "Alright, now that we got that clear, I want to know really why you get so aggressive when you fight and do you get so aggressive when fighting another player,"

James sighed and put his head in his hands, frustrated. "I told you the truth. I just liked playing video games in the real world, and that's how I get when I play by myself!" He looked up at her, an exasperated expression on his face. "I just enjoy myself. I get aggressive. I let myself have fun."

"You have been tricked for at least the first moment we met, I have lied to you about things and you seem to believe me. Your face says what you thinking, you look worried and in a small panic from what you doing here now. And at this moment you still don't know what is going on,"

James sighed once more. Always the crazy oneshe repeated to himself. When she told him not to turn around, he listened, staring at the water in front of him. She better not try to kill me, he thought to himself. Dying to a crazy chic. That would be quite a wonder. Once Ennakai gave the alright, he turned around, expecting her to have a knife or something. Instead, he turned and saw Ennakai with her -- no his! -- shirt off. He realized and then blushed, looking away. "A-ah, I see," was all he could say while his blush grew, glancing back at their body. He cleared his throat, trying not to let his voice crack in embarrassment. "Well, at least you don't have a dagger out or anything. In all honestly I thought you were about to kill me." He laughed nervously, not knowing how to react. He would admit to himself though, they still had a handsome body. If this were an anime, his nose would be bleeding with embarrassment and attraction right now.

  13. As Ennakai told him to drop his weapon and threatened to kill him, he felt his temper flare a little. Who was she to tell him what to do? But he took a deep breath and unequipped his spear, putting it back in his inventory. He wasn't just going to leave the thing lying around in the forest somewhere as he had paid good money for the item. He silently walked back to the water, his expression blank. What the hell is she thinking? Is she absolutely psycho and nutty? he thought to himself. He sighed and put his head in one of his hands. Leave it up to me to find the crazy ones.

He made his way over to the water and sat down on a rock, facing Ennakai. He took a deep breath to try and reorganize his thoughts and gain control over his short temper. Once he was calm, he looked up at the woman. "I've put my weapon away. Now what do you wish to talk about after wrongly accusing me of lying?"

  14. One Pick up that weapon you idiot, your enemy is not dead, Two. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU HANDLE ME!!!"

James winced and rubbed the back of his head. "Listen, I'm sorry! I was just worried that you would get hurt," he said quietly. He really did have good intentions behind his actions. He hadn't even expected her to be so abrupt about him helping her out. Then she began accusing him of lying, saying "It seems now that my new found friend is more aggressive then he lets off."

James sighed and blushed in embarrassment, saying, "Listen, I can explain myself. I..." he looked down sheepishly and then was interrupted by the boar running at him. "One moment," he said while turning to face the beast. The large thing charged him. He didn't move until the last second, bringing his spear down. The beast ended up charging itself right into the blade, impaling itself with its momentum. The creature burst into pixels. Good, now I can continue speaking.

James turned back to Ennakai. "I really didn't mean to lie to you. I just really enjoy video games and that's just how I get when playing them. Killing another enemy makes me feel powerful when in the real world I never was. I never had a sense of control then. But here.." he said, gesturing around him. "I actually can make a difference -- if that makes any sense." He blushed and lowered his eyes. "I know it sounds stupid, but I actually enjoy fighting enemies in this game. I mean I was already physically strong in the real world, but here I'm much stronger."

James was still the same shy person he always was. It was just that the game allowed him to have some freedom. And when he was by himself, he allowed himself to be free and get some enjoyment out of killing and looting enemies for rewards. He just saw it as another fun game that he could excel at. After finishing his explanation, he bent down and picked up the materials that the boar had dropped, smiling to himself.

  15. James heard a rustle behind him. I'll take care of whatever beast that is after I kill this one, he thought to himself. He knew it could be a deadly mistake to take his eyes off of the enemy in front of him. The boar charged towards him, going full speed. It was now fighting for its life in a mad frenzy, foaming at the mouth, its eyes wild with fear. James knew better than to get in front of a crazed beast like this, so he quickly dodged to the side right as the boar was about to skewer him with its tusks.

Crap, I missed my chance. Well, now I have time to deal with that other enemyhe thought as he saw the boar run into a tree. It seemed its mind was only on one thing: charging in a straight line until it hit something. He smiled at the mobs stupidity, then suddenly dashed over and thrust his assault spear forward, only stopping it inches away from Ennakai's face. His expression changed from one with barred teeth and focused eyes to one of surprise. As soon as he realized that he had nearly stabbed her through the face, his demeanor changed back to the timid one he wore before. "Ennakai! What are you doing here? I thought you were going to keep fishing." He was a bit embarrassed that she had caught him like this. Going all out and showing his true nature. It wasn't something he showed many people. Then he realized that she was stuck upside down. He sighed and put his spear down, reaching up to pick her up off the branch. He picked her up with one arm under her legs, the other bracing against her back. "You silly thing," he said quietly as he set her down. "Are you okay?" He hoped she hadn't hurt herself. It seemed like she had fallen through a couple branches on the way down.

Once he made sure that the boar was alone, he dashed out, charging towards the boar and puncturing its hide with his assault spear. He tossed the beast to the side, drawing his blade out of the meat of the thing. Then the enchantment on his weapon activated, tearing the wounds apart and keeping them from healing. The boar cried out in pain as James grinned. His whole demeanor had changed. "Not so tough now, are we piggie," he said, his voice louder than usual. He braced himself as the boar got back up on its feet, preparing for it to charge. As the beast shook its head clear of the fog of pain, it raced towards James, who easily vaulted over it using the pole of his spear. He landed behind the beast. "Now it's my turn again," he said under his breath, preparing to attack once more.

  17.  "And that doesn't mean I'm giving you permission to hug me just yet, Maybe later but not now," Ennakai said. James smiled to himself. "I look forward to it," he said. I see they don't like opening up to others, he thought to himself. He would make note of it for the future. He watched as she went back to fishing, watching her arms throw back and swish the line into the water. He saw her pull in a rather large chest filled with gyms and other materials. "Wow! Good job!" he exclaimed. He wondered if he could get that lucky with any of his finds today.

As he was watching her gather all the materials, he thought he heard something in the brush around the lake. "Hey, keep fishing, I'll go check out whatever is making that noise," he said while stepping out of the water and re-equipping his armor. He followed the rustling deeper into the forested area around the lake, breaking line of sight with Ennakai. He knew it was dangerous to go venturing off alone by himself, but he figured that he wasn't in too much danger. It was only floor one after all. Still, he remained on his guard as he ventured forth.

He eventually reached a clearing where he saw a large boar digging around for grubs in the ground. Ah, that must be what caused all the commotionhe thought to himself while readying his spear. He waited to see what it would do before he attacked it. He wanted to make sure it was alone.

  18. James smiled warmly as Nora entered his shop once more. "Hello there, Nora. Glad to see you again." He took a look at her items and activated the junk sell option in his menu. "Let's see. 1,000 col total in junk sell... That will be 500 col going to me and 500 col going to you." He looked back down at Nora. "Great job at collecting all these!" he said. Then he turned around and grabbed a teleportation crystal from off of one of the many shelves behind him. He wrapped it carefully and put it in a neat little bag with the emblem and name of the shop on it. "That'll be 800 col total, but I'll deduct the 500 col you earned from your junk sale from the price. So that makes it 300 col that you owe me." He smiled and held out the bag to her, exchanging it for payment.

  20. James looked up from his work as Joanne walked over to him. He looked at the items she set on his counter, immediately picking them up and opening his menu. He clicked on the option that said "Junk Sell" and then touched the two items. The items then burst into pixels, lost to this world forever. "That will be 125 col going to you and 125 going to me," he said as the banker transferred the funds to his and Joanne's accounts. Then he took a look at the blade she held out to him. He whistled. "Now that is a fine blade right there," he said, taking it from her and giving it a few good swings. "Reminds me of the old blades of da's that we used to play with," he said reminiscently. Once the moment had passed he said, "Alright, I'll come and get you once this beauty is identified."

After she left to go upstairs, James took the sword over to his work station and began to identify its enchantments. "Ah, perfect," he muttered to himself as he finished up the project. He then brought the weapon carefully up the stairs and presented it to his sister. "Here's the blade you wanted, sis. It seems to be even better than your current blade. Oh, and of course the identification and all that is free of charge."

  21. On 11/8/2019 at 3:47 PM, Nora said:

Nora opens up the door and went visited her favorite merchant again. Seems like she has been going to this place a lot, and she hopes that the shop owner doesn't find her presence bothersome. But this time, she actually has something that they might like. "Hi there! I got some unidentified items for you, and I also want to buy the black bow tie if that is ok? Please take a look!"

    Enhancements: Accuracy, Taunt
Description: A fancy bow tie for the fancy adventurer.
    Price: 200

    @James_Hawke

James greeted Nora as she entered the shop. "Hello! So nice to see you again." He looked down at the items she wanted to junk sell and picked both of them up. He then opened his menu and submitted them for junk sale. The items burst into pixels, gone from this world forever. "Alright, that'll be 200 col for you and 200 col coming to me from the junk sell..." He then looked at the price of the blow tie, grabbing it to give to her. It was also 200 col. "But with this purchase of the bow tie, you break even. So you give 0 and receive 0 col today." He smiled at the easy transaction. He then gently wrapped the bow tie and put it in a small bag with his shop name on it. "Here you go, Nora! And have a wonderful day."

    @Nora

  22. James stumbled as his sister ran into and hugged him. He caught himself and wrapped his arms around her. "Congratulations, sis. I knew you could do it," he said while patting her on the back. When she pulled away from the hug and expressed her excitement about moving into shop together, he smiled, happy that she was happy. Then she brought up him paying for their dinner. "Oh yeah!" he said enthusiastically. "You lead the way." And she did.

He already knew where she was taking him. It was to the only restaurant in town with the Old English type of food. It reminded her of home and the meals her mother made. They were always so nutritious and refreshing after a long day of working on the farm or studying. As they sat down at the restaurant at an open table near the fire, a waitress came up to them. He ordered a meat pie with vegetables and mashed potatoes as his sides. Then, he and Joanne spent the rest of the evening reminiscing over fond childhood memories.

  23. James stood back as his sister fought the beast, impressed at how quickly she could take the animal down. "Good job, sister!" he called to her as the beast burst into crystals, the damage having been done by her blade. As she told him that she had finally found the last material, he smiled. "That's good to hear. Now we can head back to the shop and get those materials turned into potions." He followed her as she led the way back to town, walking by her side. "It's going to be great once you join me at my shop. We'll be able to be near each other like when I lived back home. It will feel like the good ol' times." He sighed happily, hands clasped behind his head. "You can have the small living area above your half of the shop while I'll take the other half. Both halves are divided by walls and doors, so feel free to have over anyone you like whenever you want." He wanted his sister to feel safe and have freedom, even if they were technically living together.

They soon approached the shop where his sister would learn how to craft a potion. "Ah, we've made it back. Good luck, sis."

  24. "Naah, I'm alright. Pain is not a thing here so I risk a lot of things I did not do in the real world like climbing trees... Nope wait, I did that," Ennakai said. This did not help with James concerns at all. He sighed. "You should still try to be more careful," he said.

Then she continued on, saying, "Your a nice man, Very gentleman like. Not many like you walk around these days. Asking is a person is alright and all. Probably something in the family I guess." He was taken aback a little by the statement. "Oh, yes. It was drilled into me at a young age to respect others and be honorable and polite." All part of a family of knights' teachings. Even though it was boring to him, it still did teach him how to behave properly. He would give the training that much.

As Ennakai described their friend, James tilted his head, curious. I wonder where this could be going, he thought to himself. Then she said, ""Well don't go dying on me as well!" His eyes widened in surprise, but his expression quickly changed to one of sadness and empathy. "Do you need a hug, Ennakai?" he asked softly. It seemed like she did. She had been hiding emotions for quite some time from what he could tell. And hiding those emotions could eat at a person's very soul. While looking at the player, he realized that two pieces of a water plant had rested itself on their head. "Er... One moment. Just hold still, please," he said as he reached out and carefully took the items from her head, putting them into his inventory. He looked back down at her with a smile. "Sorry, it was just that you had something on your head."

  25. "Helped my parents in their restaurant as a waiter. All the while I went to school, yeez, I still remember how of a magnet I was back at school for the guys. Can't blame them who don't like me," Ennakai had said. "Hm, that sounds like an interesting an interesting career and... um..." He blushed trying to think of something to say about the rest of what she had said. "I can see why they would be attracted to you." He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head. He would admit, she was quite cute.

Then he watched as her line was pulled hard enough to bring her into the water. He rushed over, checking to see that she wasn't hurt. "Hey, are you alright?" he asked, a tinge of concern in his voice. He blushed and looked away as he saw her top become see-through. "Um, my apologies. I'll look away while you change." Once she had changed into some swim wear, he turned back around, wearing a concerned expression. He hoped that she wasn't hurt at all.
