The Minotaur reeled back, its strength flagging slightly now that its HP was low. It swung the mace around in a wide arc, once again trying to spike him through the skull! ------------------ Its mediocre swing netted it no gains, the mace bouncing off of Kane's blade as he parried it. Kane: 12/17 Boss: 5/23

Kane had had quite enough of being tossed about like a rag doll. Feeling a rage that he was familiar with, he raised his immense blade high, yelling at the top of his lungs as he charged the Minotaur! ---------------------- He slashed the Boss monster's face, causing it to roar loudly! Kane: 12/17 Boss: 5/23

Minotaur Attack Roll! -2

Growling, the Minotaur burrowed back under the earth. Kane didn't know where it was, so he moved around rapidly, trying to throw it off. Right below him, it sprang up again, trying to grab him by the leg! ------------------------- It grabbed him by the leg and tossed him hard to the ground. The air in his lungs was knocked loose, and he lost health as he hit the earth with a mighty thud. Kane: 12/17 Boss: 6/23

Thinking quickly, Kane knew that the creature would soon burrow back under the soil. He swung at the creature's neck with a mighty stroke; with luck, he'd injure it severely! ------------------------ The creature was hit by the blade, but just the tip, drawing another thin red line across its neck, along with tufts of fur. Kane: 13/17 Boss: 6/23

Boss Attack Roll! -2

Interrupted, the Minotaur was shocked to see its Hit Point bar fall into the red. Frenzied, it began burrowing into the ground, earth and sod flying through the air as it tunneled below the ground. It came up right underneath Kane, trying to gore him from below! --------------------------- Kane managed to backpedal out of the way as the boss monster came up through the ground in front of him. Kane: 13/17 Boss: 7/23

Kane knew his window of opportunity was small; like any good boss fight, the Minotaur was charging an intensely strong attack. Kane held his sword high, dashing towards the monster with his <> skill! -------------------- His blade barely managed to slice into the creature's side, jarring it from his charging state. Kane: 13/17 Boss: 7/23

The Minotaur lowered its head again, trying to concentrate enough to charge up its super move again. It would do a ton of damage if it was able to strike Kane with a charged attack.

Kane rose shakily, still rattled by getting rocked by the boulder, literally. He only had four throwing knives left, but he needed to keep the monster at bay. He grabbed a dagger from his boot, spinning it in a cerulean arc at the Minotaur's face! ------------------ The blade bounced harmlessly off of the Minotaur's armor, drawing a gurgling laugh from it. Kane: 13/17 Boss: 8/23

Boss Attack Roll! -2

The Minotaur was truly feeling the pain now, and it bellowed loudly as it gripped its short mace with two hands. It struck the earth repeatedly, throwing earth and boulders up in an elemental explosion. A boulder headed straight for Kane at full force! --------------------- It struck Kane, hard, knocking him off his feet with the force of its impact. He flew backwards, falling hard. Kane: 13/17 Boss: 8/23

Twirling his blade and using it to shield himself from the monster's blows, Kane charged his sword with crimson light as he activated his <> Technique. Swirling the blade in a figure 8, he swung his sword into an attack! ------------------ Once more the blade struck twice, leaving two slices on the creature's torso once more. The third bounced off of its horn, but the damage had been done. Kane: 15/17 Boss: 8/23

Boss Dice RolL! -2

Kane had damaged the beast greatly, but the fight wasn't over yet! The Minotaur tried to bullrush Kane again, furiously bashing away at him with its spiked club! ---------------- Kane was getting used to the monster's rate of attack, and the strong adamantine in his blade was able to withstand its powerful blows strike for strike. Kane: 15/17 Boss: 10/23

The boss monster's guard was down as it started charging its super attack. Kane rushed forward, sword held high as he brought his blade down, attempting to interrupt its incantation! -------------------- The sword came down, slashing into the Minotaur's neck as it roared, losing focus. It seemed to be deeper than normal, since it hadn't been using its reflexes to minimize the damage. Kane: 15/17 Boss: 10/23

The Boss monster's health bar was now in the yellow. Clearly, it had underestimated this lone human. Staying low to the ground, it withdrew a few paces from Kane, growling out in a harsh tongue what seemed like an incantation. Its mace head started to glow a harsh gold, and Kane realized it was charging up an attack. This would be devastating if it connected, so Kane had to take advantage of the creature's moment of pause.

Kane's Die Roll! +1

Kane leapt for his blade, his skill allowing him to tumble and grab the hilt, just in time to see the Minotaur rushing him. Keeping his center of gravity low, Kane took a rising slash at the creature! --------------------- His cut grazed the creature, taking a chunk of skin and fur off of its arm. The creature was now covered in a myriad of crimson lines. He was wearing the boss down, little by little. Kane: 15/17 Boss: 12/23
