  3. Astreya had been fast to come and get her identified items, and she smiled when she was handed two more items to identify. "Of course! I'll get those done quickly. I'll send you another message, though it shouldn't take too long." Dynasty took the items and the col before she went to her back room to get to work. Almost two hours later she had sent the payment that was required by the banker to the bank before she looked at the weapon and salve that had been identified. Both were ready to go, and she sent a message to @Astreya, letting her know that the items were good to be picked up.

  4. Dynasty smiled warmly at Starla's thoughts and reasoning on why they were being watched. Of course, that didn't stop the woman from being prepared for anything and everything that could possibly happen. "Possibly, I was hoping to find a silver fox, and the game sent me Asimi. At this point, in this game, I'd think that anything is able to truly happen." She felt like her words were true, but there was just the question on if her words were actually true. Only time would be able to tell. She hoped that Starla was able to find the creature that was stalking though, that would make for an interesting story to tell others when they asked about the familiar. "If this does happen to be the wolf that you are looking for, I'll stay off to the side with Asimi, so that your taming attempts will hopefully not be distracted by us."

  5. She looked at Lissandra and studied her for a moment, did she really think that her brother wouldn't be too worried? That was something that Dynasty didn't want to believe really, as far as shew as concerned, everyone in the real world was concerned about those who were still stuck here. "I'm certain that he is worried. At least, that's what I'm going to believe for you. Besides, if you think he isn't worried, then allow me to worry because that's what I do." She chuckled lightly as they walked. This was shaping out to be a nice end to a day that could have gone horribly wrong if Dynasty hadn't shown up when she did.

Dynasty couldn't hold back the smile that showed up on her face. Watching how Lissandra interacted with Asimi was adorable, and honestly just something that was the best thing to see. "Thank you, I was lucky to have found him and tame him. I think I would have been heartbroken if he had gotten away." She smiled though, and nodded lightly, "He is, and don't worry, I'm certain that at some point he'll basically demand to be carried. He can be lazy." Asimi looked at Dynasty, just barking lowly, protesting to that statement.

"It's alright!" She chuckled lightly, "We'd love to join you for a camping dinner then some quests. It sounds like fun, doesn't it Asimi?" The fox barked happily before he looked at Lissandra, sitting down in front of her, basically making her stop, before he pawed at her leg. "And there he goes, being lazy and demanding to be carried." Dynasty laughed at the sight, but smiled soon after.

  7. It seemed like just yesterday that she opened her shop, and already, she could hear the chimes telling her that someone had come in. She came around and looked at the items that she was given and smiled warmly, "Of course!" When the girl also took a pair of potions, this just seemed to warm Dynasty's heart even more. "I hope those work out for you! Give me just a bit, and I'll message you when the identifications are done!" After she paid the prices for the pair of potions and the two identifications, she was happy with the result, sending a message to @Astreya, hoping that she would be happy as well.

  8. Starla had stayed quiet for a little before she started to respond to Dynasty. Right when Starla started to talk again, Dynasty figured out one thing very quickly, this woman could talk. It wasn't something that was a bad thing, in fact, for this quest, it was probably the best thing that could happen. While Dynasty didn't say anything while the talk went on, she did listen intently. Starla was right about foxes, they were mischievous, and it was interesting to see. Asimi himself was hiding on his own, only instead of being in her pocket at this point, he had turned back into his ring and was firmly placed on Dynasty's finger.

"It's alright, sometimes talking about the intuitions can help them make more sense. I learned everything that I have by following my own gut and just listening to what my intuition has told me. Now, I didn't expect my gut to tell me to get stuck in a death game, but hey, it can't always be right." She chuckled lightly, but it was cut short. She had felt the eyes on them for a bit now, and knowing that Starla felt, and even saw them now was a good thing for Dynasty's sanity. "Well, we could keep walking and ignore the eyes, see if it's a creature that wants to become a familiar, or, we could attack it."

She looked at Starla and smiled lightly, "But, I fully leave that decision up to you, since this is your quest."

  9. She smiled warmly, "We all do, I mean, we all decided to join this game didn't we." She chuckled lightly as she watched Lissandra go after the last remaining hornet, and watched it die. She waited a few moments before deciding to sheath her sword, putting her shield back over her back. Dynasty couldn't help but laugh lightly, "It's no problem. I was avoiding doing some quests for some unknown reason. It seems that I was right in doing so, though."

Asimi seemed to notice that the fight was over and pawed at Dynasty's leg, which prompted her to give him a piece of jerky as a treat for a fight well done. "I'm Dynasty, and honestly, it's part of my wiring as some would say. I raised by siblings so helping and protecting others come naturally." She noticed the way that Lissandra was looking at Asimi, and she smiled lightly, "This little guy is Asimi, he's my familiar trained in protection." Asimi, hearing his name, barked happily before looking Lissandra and sniffing her a little.

"Don't feel bad! I just started leveling and exploring myself honestly, but I'd be happy to accompany you back to town. There's a restaurant there that we can order some food from as well if you're hungry." She turned back toward the town and started to walk with Lissandra there, wanting to be back in the town probably just as much as the other woman wanted to be. "What made you want to start trying to level today?"

  10. Dynasty had been more focused on watching the smaller hornet, that she missed the other player hitting the bigger one, at least until the hate was moved away from her. Damn it. She spun around to try and see if there was any way that she'd be able to help Lissandra, and this gave the smaller hornet the perfect opportunity to hit her. Dynasty brushed it off though, even if it was a critical, she had enough mitigation to just ignore the little pin pricks that they were giving her.

Ignoring the smaller wasp, she shook her head at the girl, "Sorry darlin' that's not a chance that I'm willing to take." She went for the bigger hornet and easy sliced her sword through it, the hornet vanishing in the red cloud of pixels signifying its death. Okay, that was now two down, and only one left to go, this shouldn't be too horrible now, and there was no way for Lissandra to pull hate from her, or at least, so Dynasty was hoping.

Dynasty looked at the girl and smiled lightly, "For the smaller guy though, I don't mind just sitting here and taking his hits if you want to finish him off. I just don't want to see anyone hurt is all." Yeah, so she was a bit protective and motherly, sue her, it came from raising her siblings in place of her parents. She looked at Asimi, the fox yawned lightly as he even curled up. "Hey now Asimi, no napping yet, there's still one alive." The silver fox looked at Dynasty before huffing and standing back up.

  11. Dynasty seemed to be more focused on the smaller hornet, knowing that if the other player kept her attention off of the bigger one, that it would stay focused on Dynasty. She just really didn't want to chance the new player getting hurt, so yeah, her focus was where it was needed, on the smaller bug. She watched as the hornet missed Lissandra again, and that made Dynasty sigh in relief. The randomness of this hornet's movements were starting to really get on her final nerve there, but she still smiled at Lissandra.

"You're welcome, I'm actually really happy that I attacked this trio when I did. I hadn't seen you hiding there." She chuckled lightly, getting a warning bark from Asimi. That meant that the bigger hornet was attempting to attack her, alright. She turned just in time to see Asimi knock the hornet off track enough that the damage that she ended up receiving was minimal. She had to give him a treat after this, and really thank Koga for her gear, because she watched as the bigger hornet's health nearly fell to zero.

"I don't know if faster is necessarily the thing, what it was for me was just repetitive fights with them. After a while, you realize that most of the hornets have the same random pattern, watch." She turned back to the smaller hornet and waited for a moment, as if she were reading the hornet's movements, just before she attacked. She managed to hit the hornet head on, creating a critical attack, leaving the smaller hornet with almost no health as well. Not only that, but she knew one thing now though, both hornets were promptly targeting her, and that was how she wanted it.

"They both should only need a few more hits. The smaller one has a very small chance of targeting you if you want to hit that, but the bigger one can be swayed from targeting me if you aren't careful." She was giving the warning, mainly because it was a useful warning to have. "You're doing well though." She smiled at the other player, giving her some kind of confidence boost.

The quality of the item determines the maximum amount of enhancements that can be identified, just as regular item quality functions:

    • Uncommon: 1 slot
    • Rare: 2 slots
    • Perfect: 3 slots
    • Demonic: 4 slots

If an item's identified enhancement would result in an illegal item (following the standard enhancement rules), the Appraiser must re-roll the LD (Loot Die) and make note of all rolls made when submitting the item for evaluation.

    Regular Enhancement Loot Die Chart:

  13. She had been ready to attack the hornets again, but a quick bark from Asimi threw Dynasty off of balance. She had thought that she was going to get lucky and be able to hit them again, but that didn't happen. Instead, another player came out of hiding and hit the smaller hornet. One simple mindset kicked in for Dynasty, and that was to protect the low leveled player. No one needed to die on her watch today. She did smile at the girl though, watching how quickly she was to be able to dodge the hornet's attack in return.

This green-haired woman would last long and well in the game if she could keep that speed up. Asimi barked again and basically tackled the hornet, making it miss Dynasty completely for it's attack. "Good job Asimi, keep that guy occupied, can you boy?" There was a bark before Dynasty looked at the other player. "Help me take down the smaller one first. As long as you don't hit the big one, its hate will stay on me." Now, she was just hoping that she'd be able to keep the hate of the smaller one on her as well.

Thankfully though, the smaller hornet had a single point of damage, at least, that's what she got from looking at its stats on her HUD. So, even if she didn't get to hit the hornet enough to establish full hate, then she didn't need to fully worry about the other player getting hurt too bad, hopefully. Dynasty noticed that the other woman didn't have much of anything going for her. That was when Dynasty knew that she needed to go through the first few lessons line still.

Perhaps, if all went well with this fight, Dynasty could convince the girl to go with her on the quests. But for now, she got ready to hit the weaker hornet, but she lost sight of it for a moment, making her turn pass by her completely. "Crap." She looked over at the other player, only to find the hornet there and still focused on the other player. Please miss her again.

  14. Dynasty looked at Starla, a happy smile on her face, "Of course! Helping others is something that I strive to do, and well, keeping you company during this quest is going to be good for us both." She chuckled lightly, "I haven't exactly held conversations with an actual player in a bit, been mainly helping the NPCs around the town this entire time." It was the truth really, she had gotten so wrapped up in helping around the town, that she sometimes forgot the difference between a NPC and a player.

"When I first started the quest, I had an idea of what I was looking for. I love foxes, and truly fell in love with the silver ones like Asimi. But, I didn't truly have his name until I did find him, just in case you know." She noticed that Starla had started to follow some tracks, so she stayed close beside her, just in case things decided to get a little hostile. "I hope you don't mind my curiosity, but why only the choices of a fox or wolf? Don't get me wrong I love them both, I'm always just curious to know why some people choose certain animals for their familiars."

It was also an odd way for her to further get to know someone. She always had a thought in her mind that you could learn a lot about someone from the pet that they have. She's seen some with snakes, and well, she doesn't trust them. Snakes can't be trusted, so in her mind, that meant that their masters couldn't be either.

She knew that she should be going and actually doing the newbie quests that Zachriah had for her, but she didn't feel like that was on the to-do list for today. Instead, she had ventured out of the safe zone and had just gone to killing some monsters. Asimi was walking beside her, the little silver fox happily stretching his legs as he ran around, almost like a kit fox instead of a full-grown one. It was kind of adorable in an odd little way, but something that she wasn't going to stop him from doing. Of course, it was the wing fluttering of a wasp that caught her attention, only it wasn't just one wasp, no, there were three of them. She knew that this would be bad if there was anyone else around, so she walked over to them.

Her sword was already out of her hand and turning pink from the sword art that she was charging. The moment that she was close enough to the three wasps, she let Rage Strike go. It hit two of the three and killed one of them. That was a good sign, and, if there was anyone else out there, that meant that the aggravation would be pointed at Dynasty, just how she wanted it. Asimi was standing guard, ready to protect Dynasty if the need came, but she was more focused on seeing what the wasps were going to do instead. "Pretty nice to be able to kill one right off the bat, right Asimi? Just make sure to watch my back for me, alright." There was a protective bark that came moments after her words, and she knew that it was the fox agreeing to protect her.

  17. She walked from the inn, having taken that much-needed nap, and over to Koga's shop. She walked inside, hearing the chime from the bell once more, and she smiled as she saw the sword and shield. She walked over to the display, and she looked them over before looking to Koga. "Thank you do much. Though, my manners escaped me before, I'm Dynasty. Please, let me know when you want that meal, I'll happily pay for this craftmanship." She took the sword and shield, holding true to the payment that he set up when she first dropped off the order.

    Receives: Perfect T1 1HSS <<Adamantis>>
    Perfect T1 Shield <<Nema>>

  18. Dynasty would have looked at Asimi, but with where he was placed on her shoulder, she couldn't exactly look at him. "I think it might also be because I treat him with jerky every once in a while." She laughed lightly, and as if to prove her point, a small piece of jerky was brought out of her pocket and given to the little fox. "We found out that he enjoys jerky as much as I do, so it's a common little snack that we have when we aren't back at the inn."

She watched Starla, the woman seemed to be thinking, and that was always a good thing to do when going into a quest like this. "When I went to train him, I gave him a piece of jerky for each time he successfully protected me from an attack." She kept pace with Starla, but did her best not to be in the woman's way. She wasn't going to be the reason that Starla missed her familiar right away. "Actually no, Asimi proved to be a little stubborn to be found. By the time I found him and tamed him, nightfall was right around the corner. But, I also went solo to look for him, so it was kind of boring and led to a lot of overthinking."

She was still smiling, even as she stated all of that. She wasn't ashamed that it took her so long to find her familiar, or the fact that she had been overthinking when doing things. It was just who she was after all. "Had you thought of a name for your familiar when you find it?"

  19. She said her goodbyes to the master merchant before she turned and walked outside. She was going to go and see if she could find herself a nice little place to have her shop set up now. There were many areas where she could have her shop put up, and she was excited to go and find a place to actually put her shop up. So, she walked up and down the streets of the first floor, looking around the different areas.

Dynasty walked for maybe three hours before she stopped in front of an empty building. This would be perfect, and she knew that. But, she would work on building the shop another day. Right now, she just wanted to go back to the inn and go lay down. Asimi was awake, and barking from her pocket, so she grabbed him, putting him down as he grew to his larger size, shaking himself. "Let's get some food Asimi, then we can talk shop."

  20. "Good job, now choose one to take with you, and you can leave." She stared at the kid, but he was walking away from her. She ignored that and felt a little better about things now. For now, she looked over the three weapons, and she studied them, Dynasty wanted to pick the right one, but none of them were something that she could use herself. But, she might be able to sell the one that she did pick. So, she was going to pick the weapon that might end up selling faster.

She hadn't seen very many rapier users, so she disregarded that one for now. Instead, she picked up the dagger. She had a feeling that this one would be a good one, and even if she doesn't sell it to someone, wasn't the ability to junk unwanted gear a thing that she can do? Dynasty smiled though as she picked up the dagger once more and put it back into her inventory.

    Unidentified Uncommon Weapon (185856)

    ID: 185860
    LD: 13

Unidentified Uncommon Weapon is identified as T1 Uncommon Warhammer [Bleed]

Alright, just one more item to identify, and then she was done with this quest, and she can get out from the judgmental eye of this kid. It wasn't that she was scared of this kid, it was just that his judgmental look was kind of creepy and unnerving. How could a NPC kid have so much judgement in his eyes? That wasn't normal, was it? She shrugged that off before she focused on the final item that she needed to identify. The moment that she identified this, was the moment that she feels like she could actually work this profession properly and without judgement.

It didn't take that long for her to identify this weapon, which was kind of nice. She felt like she was getting better and faster at identifying things, and that was probably an amazing thing. The unidentified warhammer before her soon turned into a warhammer with a single enhancement of bleed.

  22. Spoiler

    Identifying:
    Unidentified Uncommon Weapon (185855)

    ID: 185859
    LD: 10

Unidentified Uncommon Weapon is identified as T1 Uncommon Rapier [Paralyze]

Alright, she needed to buckle down and work on the second identification. She grabbed the unidentified rapier, and she quickly looked for that button. She found it faster than she had before, but that still hadn't meant that the actual identification was going to be faster. That was the part that was still taking the longest when it came to doing the quest. Plus, it probably didn't help that the little kid was literally staring her down as if she were a piece of meat right now.

That was a little creepy, and it didn't help her feel comfortable doing what she was doing at all. The master merchant's eyes didn't seem to actually leave her until she finally finished identifying the rapier. It had a single paralyze on it. That wasn't horrible, something that could still be useful to those who have better luck at hitting things than herself.

  23. She looked at the single weapon that she had just identified, and she felt a little proud. But she needed to figure out how to get faster at doing that. She looked at the dagger that she had identified, and she thought for a few moments. It had taken her the longest to try and find the button to identify the dagger, perhaps she just needed to make sure that she knew where that button was at all times? That might make that part easier.

She would have to try and look in the same spot for that button. She had a feeling that she could make things a lot easier by doing that. Dynasty put the dagger down, and just stared at the dagger. It wasn't bad for her first attempt at actually identify something, so she felt a little proud at that. But, she still had two more weapons to identify, so she was certain that she could attempt to do better.

  24. Spoiler

    Identifying:
    Unidentified Uncommon Weapon (185842)

    ID: 185858
    LD: 12

Unidentified Uncommon Weapon is identified as T1 Uncommon Dagger [BLEED]

"So, did you find the items so that I can teach you how to identify them?" Dynasty pulled the three weapons from her inventory and put them onto a clear table. "Yeah, I didn't have the best of luck to find anything different, so they are all the same." "That's fine. Just look at the item and click the identification button." Umm, okay? That was very telling. She shrugged though and grabbed the first weapon, it was a dagger. It took her a bit to find the button that she needed to find to start the identification button.

She seemed to have a bit of a hard time just working on this identification, but when it was done, she had a dagger in her hands with a single enhancement of bleed on it. That wasn't a horrible thing, and this dagger could be of great use when it comes to those who use daggers. Wasn't bleed a good DoT?

  25. She was soon right back into the safe zone, feeling like a hundred buck at the moment. Perhaps that was because she felt like she could do anything right now. It felt nice to be able to feel like that again. Perhaps this was just the kind of confidence boost that she needed. Even if it wasn't, she was just happy to have not taken all day to find the things that she needed for this quest today. That was better than how she had been doing lately, and she didn't even have her loot die stuff equipped.

Dynasty didn't stop as she entered the safe zone, and instead started to head back to the kid's shop. She might as well not take up too much time trying to ready herself to get to the part of finishing this quest. As she neared the shop, she grabbed made sure that she had everything that she needed.
