  1. Lissandra's eyes widened for a moment, it was truly surprising that there was such a huge gap between the two of them if they were both at the beginning of trying to level up. While she wouldn't admit it, or show these feelings in anyway, Lissandra was embarrassed with herself. Regardless, Dynasty truly was a kind girl and Lissandra really did want them to be friends, so she smiled and followed from behind quickly, "Siblings!" She softly exclaimed, "I have an older brother in the outside world myself. He is a bit self-centered, but ultimately we understand each other so I'm sure he is not too worried about me.." A few memories from her early childhood swam around in her mind as she trailed off. She truly did believe he knew she was happier in here then out in the real world, and honestly he was probably a little jealous that Dad had gotten her a copy and not him.

Lissandra stopped hiding how cute she found the little fox the moment Dynasty addressed it, "He is absolutely precious. I do not want to be too forward, but I truly must get a chance to hold him one day. I bet he is just the softest boy." Lissandra stopped herself before devolving into baby talk. It took everything she had to not just scoop him up and squeeze him immediately. That would be rude however, and Lissandra told herself in that moment that she had been raised better than that.

"A quest. Of course, that would be the perfect way to get a handle of things. Maybe we could enjoy an early dinner, I know a wonderful camping spot in the lake region south of town if you'd like to join me. Afterwards we can go and do these quests first thing in the morning!" Lissandra paused, realizing she was being rude, "apologies, I would love to join you for an early dinner in town. Would you in turn be interested in camping out in a beautiful spot in the lake region near town afterwards? It would surely make it easy to do these beginner quests together first thing in the morning! That is, if you'd like my company for them~" Lissandra smiled once more, walking in pace with Dynasty and her fox now. She leaned forward and listened carefully for a response, truly hoping with all of her being that Dynasty would take her up on the offer.

  2. These two seemed very kind, and more than a little confused by Lissandra's overly formal way of communicating, she decided to tone herself down a bit for their sakes, as that was the polite thing to do. "Well, I am sorry for getting ahead of myself. I should explain," She shot a beaming grin at the two of them, but as she opened her mouth to speak yet another stranger stumbled into the conversation. Lissandra stopped herself and smiled at the new person, "Well hello! The three of us were just discussing a possible social outing. You see," she took the opportunity to explain her little 'personal holiday' to all of them at once. "Without getting into my life story, I have a little tradition I keep up to pass the time on the lower floors, well a number of them.." Lissandra trailed off and took a mental note to invite these people to beach day next week if this went well, "but regardless, this little 'holiday' as I call it is Picnic Day. It is mostly self explanatory, I come here to Tolbana and spend the day at my favorite little spot in this region enjoying a nice picnic. It is nothing too extravagant, and until possibly today?" Lissandra's tone almost indicated that she was re-inviting all three of them with this statement; "I have celebrated on my lonesome. I was mostly just trying to decide what to bring with me when we all bumped into each other. I truly do think it would be lovely if we all celebrated together!" She beamed once more, Lissandra spoke with a calm grace, under-toned with genuine happiness that seemed to fill her entire soul. It was true that being trapped in SAO was the best thing that ever happened to her from her point of view and while many had found this strange, in a few cases even insulting, in the past; Lissandra couldn't help it. Video games had already been her life before all this, so SAO was a dream come true to her. Above and beyond any of this of course, Lissandra was truly elated at the possibility of finally making some friends in this beautiful world. The countless possibilities of their future adventures together swirled in her mind as she heard each of their replies to her. Like always, she would take the time to listen completely to each of them and anything they had to say. It was just too exciting to be meeting new people like this!

  3. First down then up, two very different voices called out from behind  Lissandra and startled her out of deep thought. "Oh my apologies, how rude I have been to take up the road as such," The young woman spun and curstied to the two strangers. "I am Lissandra, just a level one layabout wasting her days away on the first floor." She first looked down to the blue haired player, "Well that is just the thing you see, today I am celebrating Picnic Day, but I have not a clue as to what I should take with me.. but before I lose my train of thought, If you could do me the pleasure of introducing yourself, I would be happy to meet you!" She gave him a soft smile and wait for his answer, thinking on each word carefully and ensuring he felt listened to before turning to the larger fellow.

"And as you must have overheard by now, I am in need of ideas for the celebration of Picnic day. Since I have you all here.. hmm." She took a moment to think, "Well first of all, please let me know your name at the very least." In the same way, she nodded and listened intently as the man responded, making sure that he felt heard before speaking again. "Well, if your offer is still on the table I would love some help, and if you two are willing to join me for the celebrations; I would welcome the company." Lissandra smiled softly and waited attentively for their replies. If they accepted this would be the first ever Picnic Day she celebrated with guests and that in and of it self was rather exciting.

The jagged peaks and barren ruins of this land near the labrynth of the First Floor faded from Lissandra's mind as the walled settlement of Tolbana came into view. "mm mm.." She nodded firmly, "Tolbana is always worth the trip. What a splendid sight~" As the words meant for noone trailed off, Lissandra let the moment last for a while longer, taking in the gorgeous imagery of the land bit by bit before finally taking the step towards the gate which opened promptly.

Lissandra made her may confidently accross the city's main thoroughfair, a popular tune from the outside world was playing back in her mind. Usually, she tried to be more restrained in her enjoyment of this world, but today was a special today. Today was picnic day. Picnic day was a sort of holidy Lissandra had made for herself, unlike holidays from the outside world, Picnic day was not restrained to a simple annual schedule and was instead celebrated whenever she felt a picnic was in order. As one is to do from time to time.

It was not long until she had arrived at the part of the city dedicated to the purchasing of goods, and it was not long after that the girl hit a rather unfortunate conundrum, deciding exactly what to eat was beyond her today.

So Lissandra wandered from stall to stall, stuck in a fuque of uncertainty. After a while she came to a stop entirely. She rubbed her chin. She tapped her foot. She pursed her lips.

This was most likely the greatest bout of indecision she had had since the dreaded 'Swimming or Hiking' incident of her second year in Aincrad..

  5. Before she knew it, this kind stranger had darted past her and easily struck the final blow on the larger beast. Lissandra was unable to react. 'Perhaps this girl has some over tuned maternal tendencies.. hmm.' Whatever the case happened to be, Lissandra was happy to have her around. Blinking at the idiocy she had just displayed by actually trying to fight that massive beast, Lissandra smiled, "Thankyou for knocking some sense into me~ I truly do do strange things from time to time," she spun to the smaller monster, "..and don't bother holding back for my account. This has been more of an experience then I had ever wanted it to be already I'll just get another good bop in.. and hopefully it will murdify itself on you hmm.." Lissandra grimaced a moment with her back turned to the other player, that penchant of hers for making up words always slipped through at the most awkward of times..

Empowered by her own embarrassment at the comment, Lissandra lunged forward, striking true. Surprisingly the blow was a perfect critical strike! Lissandra skidded behind the now dead Hornet that simply dissipated like the others in front of her. She blinked, unable to truly believe what had just happened. After a moment she blinked a shook her head slightly, falling back on the soft smile she naturally wore, "Well, I guess not hmm.. I apologize for this.. But if I am being honest dear, I am mostly just glad you showed up when you did!" Lissandra beamed, the combat behind her now, and walked up calmly while sheathing her weapon. All the while, trying desperately to not show how adorable she found the little fox creature that was following this girl. "You seem like an absolutely wonderful person, the way you made sure to keep me safe out there. I am Lissandra," she curtsied, shooting a quick glance at the tiny fox while mouthing an inaudible 'awwe' "I have been spending my days enjoying the scenery these past years and this was ultimately my first actual combat encounter.. I know.. It's a little embarrassing." Her expression fell before bouncing right back to a smile as she once again made eye contact with the other girl, "Well, enough about that and enough about me. If monsters hadn't been afoot I say, I would be rather rude for not asking this sooner, my apologies. If you are up for it, I'd love to hear your name.. s.." another sneaky look at the fluffy fox, "..perhaps we could walk for a bit? I would never speak for you, but as for myself, that is about as much combat as I could ever want in a day~" Lissandra smiled and awaited her reply.

  6. 'Patterns.. hmm,' Lissandra thought idly to herself while watching the other player somewhat easily deal a nearly killing blow to the smaller of the remaining hornets. With that both of the monsters were completely focused on the other girl. Honestly, it was impressive, to be able to completely take control of a combat like this. Lissandra assumed that this girl must be quite high level, or extremely skilled in the combat aspects of this game. If that was indeed the case, it was likely that Lissandra would be able to take a risk here. For a moment she let her eyes follow the erratic movements of the larger Hornet. Unfortunately, she was unable to really make out any patterns at all, however the longer she watched the slower her target seemed to move. Lissandra shrugged, now empowered with an odd confidence and struck at the larger hornet despite the other player's warnings. It was likely it would attack her, unless she felled it with a critical. Regardless, based on her remaining hit-points and the fact that this was only the first floor, Lissandra was confident this risk would workout. Her lunging strike made contact, but alas, was not a critical strike. "Hmm.. and here I thought today was a lucky day for me," she pivoted, and prepared for the hornet's response.

Strangely, the smaller hornet made it's move first, dashing at her ally swiftly, just as with the larger hornet before, the blow made contact. However, unlike before, the thorns effect did not activate. As it pulled back from the small critical and hovered before the other player, Lissandra braced herself, likely the third Hornet would strike moments before the stronger play could respond. That was going to be okay, Lissandra had the hang of this.. maybe..

The larger hornet dashed aggressively towards her, drawing seemingly random and jagged lines through the air on it's arching path. Lissandra still couldn't see this 'pattern' the other player had mentioned but to her eyes the thing seemed to be moving at a slow crawl. With a smooth and sharp duck she slid underneath the beast as it's deadly stinger slashed the air where her head had been but moments before. In the same movement she tumbled into a standing crouch and shot a happy look at her ally. "Your turn stranger! You've truly done me a kindness today, and I hate to ask more of you, but would you kindly finish that smaller insect for me? I may be able to handedly finish off the big one hmm.." Lissandra prepped herself to strike at the beast before her, honestly she thanked god for her life gaming. It was likely that this ability to follow the quick movements of the monster before her had something to do with that.

  7. Just as things started seeming manageable, Lissandra began to fully realize just how difficult the erratic movement of the Hornets were difficult to track. Even with the Keen enhancement of her blade now active and guiding her strikes, the oversized bug was much to difficult to pin down. Lissandra's blade struck naught but air as her brow furrowed in disappointment. With a close eyed smile, Lissandra turned her head towards the other player.  "Thank you so much," She paused as the Hornet's stinger swung through the air toward her with lethal speed. "Truly," Lissandra parried the blow, forcing it to swing wide with the edge of her blade. "The combat in this game is much too intense."

With a backwards hop, Lissandra locked eyes on the creature. As it buzzed back and forth erratically, Lissandra realized just exactly what was making this difficult. The creature wasn't moving so fast that she was unable to track it, no the true problem was the randomness. Its body jerked through the air in an honestly unsettling, pattern-less motion. 'So we're expected to just strike at it randomly and pray hmm..' Lissandra audibly sighed, "If only I was a touch faster."

In the same moment, the clearly stronger of the two hornet's began to charge at Lissandra's new ally. The jagged, arched path of the creature's strike made contact with her chest, somehow sneaking right by her shield in the process. It seemed as though the Hornet would be suffering most from this decision as the player's armor probably mitigated most of the damage and in the very next moment after striking, almost all of the creature's remaining Hit-points were evaporated. This had to be the work of the Thorns armor enhancement. Lissandra had contemplated getting the same enchantment on her own armor, but ultimately decided it would be better for her mental health to just avoid getting hit entirely.

  8. Waiting for a good moment to strike was eye opening for Lissandra. Combat in a game like this one was rather intimidating. It was likely that if the threat of permanent real life death was removed, it would still be quite difficult to run down a person sized wasp like the one in front of her, but with that added threat she regrettably found herself frozen on the ground while watching the monster.

This realization made the arrival of another player even more surprising. In an instant the hornet was annihilated and beyond even that, it appeared that two additional monsters had been hiding out, as they popped up to strike at the stranger. Lissandra let out a thankful gasp, not wanting to consider what would happen had she simply rushed the monster previously 'Cowardice saves the day..' She thought idly while popping up from cover.

Since there was no obvious reason to continue hiding, Lissandra charged, she chose to strike swiftly at the smaller and objectively less frightening of the hornets. Her unsurprisingly simple and weak strike barely scratched the creatures health bar. The small tick was honestly disheartening, however, the presence of this exceedingly powerful stranger did boost her confidence.

Lissandra jumped back and gave them a soft smile coupled with a thumbs up. Hopefully her adventure wouldn't end before it even had begun.

The smaller Hornet she had struck promptly closed the distance, striking with a swift stinger jab. However, the attack's path was predictable, allowing Lissandra to step aside despite its speed. It appeared as though the larger Hornet was targeting the other player luckily, and beyond even that it seemed to have been just as unsuccessful as the small one had been at striking her.

Lissandra grinned as the fight started picking up, and in the same moment hopped back again. Truthfully, fighting with such a short weapon had her more then a little nervous. Getting so close before being able to attack was dangerous. Perhaps after this she would invest in a longer weapon, not before thanking this mysterious stranger for the help however!!

Several hours of walking had past by in what seemed like no time at all. Lissandra gazed contentedly at the scenery around her. It had been a while since the dirt highway that connected the main settlements of Floor 1 had disappeared in the distance, not that she need worry about getting lost, and now the rolling green hills that filled this area of the Floor spread out around her in lazy, uneven bumps.

"Aah; Another beautiful day for me to enjoy."

The young adventurer sat and took in the surroundings. The way the last years had flown by still shocked her, from time to time news of the players in the higher floors would pass by. The things that could be discovered up there brought Lissandra a feeling of curiosity. In the past weeks this thought of wanting to press onwards and upwards had grown within her. Perhaps it was finally time to move on.

Lissandra allowed these thoughts to wander and stew for nearly an hour before moving on, passing to the main road once again. For the first time since being 'trapped' in this virtual world, this player moved with a purpose beyond simpleminded wandering. It was finally time for her to try fighting something.

It of course did not take long to come across an appropriate target. The solo wasp floated idly whilst emit a quiet buzz. Lissandra ducked low and hid herself as she approached. The level one adventurer then drew her sword with the intent to attack for the first time in this world.

  10. Lissandra chuckled softly at his second remark. "As low as one could imagine, yes." For one reason or another Lissandra was carrying an extra sunny disposition around with her today and softly remarked on his earlier statement with a smile. "Well I do sincerely hope that you continue to hang in there Mr. Chase."

Lissandra tilted her head in interest as the man summarized his offer and raised an eyebrow in interest as the offer came in on her ui. Within a moment she had accepted graciously

Without another moment Lissandra Equipped her new item and gave another, bigger smile upon seeing the result. "Well this is quit dashing Mr.Chase," she gave a small curtsy, " and your brief company has been quite pleasant. If you ever have the inclination Id love to spend some time getting to know you. Caoi~" Without a further remark Lissandra stepped out of the shop and into the street. She decided that she would take a short walk outside the city to celebrate her new trinket.

  11. Lissandra had busied herself with an aimless stroll through the Shop District this morning. The sights and sounds of this virtual world still filled her with the same wonder and novelty they had on her first day.

The young woman stepped into 'Cheap Chips' on a whim more than anything else. Shortly after the door swung closed behind her, Lissandra gave a kind welcome to the shopkeeper. "Goodmorning," she sang,  "How is today treating you hmm?"

While she listened to their reply, Lissandra wandered through the store, not really looking for anything in particular. That is until an oddly simple looking headband caught her eye. Fascinated, The young woman took the item up too the owner of the shop. "This is a stylish little piece of headware dear. What exactly would you like to trade for it? I dont have much. Some col and materials, Im willing to trade anything I can with what I have." Lissandra gave them a genuine smile as she gingerly set the trinket down on the cleanest part of the countertop between them.

    Profile
    Username: Lissandra
    Real name: Katlynn Horton
    Age: 23
    Gender: Female
    Height: 161.2cm [5’3]

    About: History/personality

As a young Canadian girl, Katlynn lived in luxury. Even with age, it became apparent that she would be blessed with a life of luxury. Her parents were both successful entrepreneurs. Mother Horton led a rather successful insurance agency, whilst Father Horton sat on the board of a significantly large delivery company.

Thanks to her older brother, Katlynn was introduced to videogames at a young age, and by the time she had turned fourteen was arguably more enamored with them than he would ever be. For a while they grew close through the shared hobby, but before long he had moved on to other things and Katlynn was left alone to enjoy the newest releases with the help of her very large allowance.

Katlynn hopped from title to title and genre to genre until finally settling on mmorpg as her primary game type. As the reality of full dive VR grew closer and closer, Katlynn pushed her parents to secure her one of the few early copies of Sword Art Online, along with the rig and equipment to use it.

Sadly this passion resulted in her ultimately being trapped in the ultimate vr mmorpg. Not that she really minded. Katlynn is now Lissandra in this new world and is completely enamored with it, however, this appreciation of the experience has resulted in her accomplishing nearly nothing in the last several years. Instead Lissandra has been content to simply explore the vast first floor, making little to no progress while the other players have far exceeded her in both levels and skill.

    Virtues:

-Game Lover: The idea of being trapped in a videogame with her life on the line does little to worry Lissandra, instead it excites her. Everyone dies eventually and she is okay with that. If she is going to die herself, it might as well be inside of the most cutting edge vr mmorpg experience.

-Rich Girl: Growing up in the higher parts of society comes with some pretty stellar benefits. Lissandra is eloquent and well spoken. She is never at a loss for words and always speaks with respect to others. This makes her easy to get along with.

-Epic Gamer: Jokes aside, Lissandra has grown up playing videogames and the mechanics of any games, especially mmo’s, come easier to her. Staying on the first floor was a choice and not the result of some inability to come to terms with the situation or understand the game mechanics. It is likely that she will comprehend the late game mechanics swiftly which should (at least she thinks so) allow her to catch up to the so-called ‘frontlines’ given enough time.

    Flaws:

-Excitable: Being in love with SAO is both a good and a bad thing for Lissandra. It is likely that this won’t be the last time she stops advancing in the game just to enjoy the scenery. Even if she doesn’t take another long trip walking around one of the higher floors, she is still easily distracted and will often overlook important areas and powerful mobs to instead enjoy ‘a pretty lake’ or a ‘spooky forest’ that catches her eye. You get the idea.

-Coddled: Lissandra has had everything in life given to her and while she does not actively expect handouts; this experience makes strenuous activities undesirable to her. She enjoys the kind of gaming where she wins easily over the traditional fair confrontation and challenges some others gamers would seek out. This makes her mostly averse to challenging difficult bosses and completely against the idea of participating in pvp duels. (unless she thinks she can easily win in either case.)

-Others First: The first and most important lesson Lissandra was taught was manners, and those manners are taken to the extreme with her. She is the type to defer to others and avoid sharing her own opinions, often to her own detriment. Persuading her is easy if she thinks even vaguely positively of the person doing the persuading and this makes it easy for others to scapegoat her. In many circumstances she might even knowingly let herself take wrongful blame if it was the right person asking.
