  1. Quest Completed! -Col: 400 -EXP: (3336/10)*1*1 = +333.6 -Special Unlock: Martial Arts Weapon Skill
  2. "Go to hell!" A curse shamed everyone's ears as the maid threw all of her remaining strength into a final kick that blasted stone into the distance. She would lay there, panting ruthlessly and planning how best to go about killing the master if he gave her any other task than the shit she has been through today. "You are... quite something young one. Even if you did not necessarily use my intended style you reduced the rock to rubble faster than some of my best learner. I think you have earned the right to be among the ranks of the pugilists." He would say. 'Quest Complete!' would ap
  3. With another full-force kick, the boulder crumbled into it was nothing but a small mound just smaller than a large breed of dog. The thought quickly left her though as she attempted the final blow on the boulder. Her legs would give out, though. The maid fell backwards on to her rear end where she collapsed further to the ground. While sitting on her back she tried to get her foot moving but it refused her command. "Come on! You have to give that to me! It's smaller than me at this point!" The girl pleaded but the master simply shook his head solemnly. She knew that it wasn't going to hap
  4. A stronger kick of frustration tore into the boulder. The fractures were as deep as a fissure in the earth, ripping the outer shell of the oversized paper weight into smaller and smaller pieces that crumbled around it. The main piece of the structure was about her size now. Two or three more attacks would finish it if she could handle just a little more. Her legs were undamaged thanks to the weapon made by that blacksmith but they were burning to the point that she felt as though she could barely stand. Her rasped panting didn't go unnoticed though. "Wouldn't a short break be in order
  5. Her heels were becoming a more deadly and precise weapon with every kick she dealt to the boulder. It was below twenty percent health points - Invigorating to say the least. She wanted nothing more than to get away from this mountain and to never return to this floor ever again. If all the quests in the game were like this one she was not sure that she could handle doing all of them to catch back up to the frontlines. If that was the case, though, they'd be out of Aincrad already. "Break damn you! Let's finish this already! I want to get some sushi and sleep for the rest of the week!" Tok
  6. Flurries of kicks kept adding small pebbles at her feet as she continued to chip away at the boulder. Another message would come through to her mailbox but she would ignore it for the most part. She did not want to stop in fear of losing steam. This was the home stretch akin the last mile of a marathon. Somehow, she never thought she would be able to hate something more than that but here they were now. "You certainly have the spirit to survive out there based on what I've seen. Even without my techniques you've really shown that boulder who the boss is, so to say. Even faster than I've s
  7. Tokki stepped around to the blank side of the boulder, a new canvas ready to be painted upon... with her boots the brush. In its state now, the boulder was unlikely to last much longer. She could only hope that was actually the case. Thankfully, critical hits were giving her a break for not having the buffs necessary to finish it quickly. It really didn't matter that much to her as long as she acquired the skill in the end of the quest. Steel rang when connecting with stone. Cracks began to form again, much more quickly than the other half as she expected. "Not much longer now, youngster.
  8. With another strong blow, Tokki's legs would prove to be the bane to this boulder's isolated and lonely existence. The entire half of the boulder that the maid had been slowly working down crumbled into pieces. It was being reduced in size before her eyes. A quick step backwards would save her from the avalanche of rocks that would pile up at her feet. She turned to face Master Yunxiang and took a small break. "Such a feat would have taken longer with my fists." "You were not lying young one. Ah, how I wish I could feel as young as you again." The master sighed. "These days I simply don'
  9. "I have more strength and training in my legs." Tokki simply answered. "My technique does not matter if I have no strength to back up my punches." "I see. Well, I never said you have to use the technique. If you truly believe this better than continue. I will watch carefully." The master would take a seat nearby and observe. The maid sighed and continued to lay waste to the earthen pimple that has blighted her eyes for the past hour or so. Her foot made contact again with it, cracking the stone with more and more fractures. The beast was large, though, and she still had awhile to go befor
  10. She was getting faster. Her legs moved at a lightning pace that she was surprised she could handle. The system was somewhat helping with the arduous task. Perhaps that meant that the skill was coming a little more naturally than she thought it would. If that was the case, maybe the quest wasn't a complete bum. Cracks filled this side of the boulder in a spider web fashion. Another hefty, heavy kick to the boulder would spread them even further and her damage somehow doubled despite not hitting a critical this time. Damage must be very weirdly calculated. "I see you're still at it." T
  11. Reeling back her foot and pressing forth with the heel of her boots, Tokki had stuck a major blow. Every single crack on the boulder shuttered and spindled outward further than she had left them all before. If she kept up with it longer it would be dead in the next hour. Though, to be honest, spending another hour in this place was truly trying her patience in a way she had never expected. Knowing all that, she continued to hit the boulder with as much force as she could. Her aim was the cracks that were already made on the boulder. Continuing to hit these spots would sooner or later reduce th
  12. With her short break finished, Tokki felt a bit rejuvenated. Her day had already been so long: Hiking up a mountain for hours only to do menial training and beating down a stationary target until it was dead. Hopefully not all of the quests in this game were as simple in design. Perhaps they did this specifically so that low level players can't unlock any weapon they prefer early. However, if that was the case, why not just make it available for purchase at level one like all the other weapon skills? Nevertheless she had a task ahead of her and it wouldn't get finished with her just stand
  13. The metal protection against her exhausted legs left her slightly off balance but Tokki had already noticed that the cracks were getting bigger. The boulder was folding to the strength of her training-hardened body. The level of endurance the teenager was able to handle seemed beyond superhuman but with a mixture of her time in track and field and the digital world allowing to exceed the normal human she could finish all this training one day and not be winded. The nap afterwards will be nice, however. With all that said, Tokki decided to take a moment to catch her breath and plan wh
  14. Left to her own devices, Tokki would try to use all the knowledge she had learned in the first training form. There wasn't much else to do than really to think on all this. At such a young age she has seen years of her life wasted away in a video game. She wondered how her body in the real world was handling the comatose state. Surely by now they had some medical care to people's physical bodies or else they'd all be dead. Her parents had to be administering her hormones. Hopefully this wasn't affecting their budget too much, she would hate having that burden. Her punches had started putt
  15. Several agonizing hours later after only a few breaks Tokki would return to the master. "How much more of my time will you be taking up?" She asked with slightly rasped breath. "You're not even tired? We've been training all day." The girl would return a similarly serious expression that he had before they began. "Right, well, your last task will see some action." The breaking up of monotony of simple tasks would be nice. Perhaps she would have to fight someone of her level in beat them in a fight to earn the skill. Was this going to turn into a tournament arc? "For your last task, y
  16. Through her practice, Tokki was beginning to realize that she was really not good with her fists. The master clearly wanted to train with her hands, though some lessons involved footwork. She wished to express that she would rather learn a style that involved footwork but also was afraid that she would get kicked out if she tried to question him. Also, perhaps covering her weaknesses would be helpful in the future. After the basic lessons, Tokki would have to undergo some endurance training. Since her transition she had made a long stride in her cardio endurance. "One good challenge for e
  17. "I'm looking for the master who trains people in hand to hand combat." The girl would tell the monk as she approached. He said nothing to her but nodded in acknowledgement and ushered her to follower him with a simple gesture of the hand. "Thanks." A short walk through the courtyard would bring them to a small temple. Tokki had seen many like them in other games so her initial reaction of its grandiose design was slightly lost on her. Soon though she would meet with the head honcho, the supposed master of martial arts. "I wish to be trained in the ways of hand to hand combat." “I wil
  18. Surprisingly, the top of the mountain was not the end goal in the this climb. Thankfully, the dojo she was meant to find happened to be only a little further than three-fourths of the way up. Tokki picked up the pace a bit, hoping to finish this walk for good now that she had been at it for well over two hours at this point. Was this walk meant to make her appreciate dedication? Did the monks think that only people who have the willpower to climb a mountain can punch other people in the face? She could prove that wrong pretty quickly if she wanted to but she was more of a kicker than a puncher
  19. Halfway up the mountain, Tokki would decide to take a short break sitting down against a tree off the side of the path and looking out to the distance of the horizon. If only she had brought Agma or Serah, at least then she would have someone to talk to. The thought of messaging them to join her was tempting but at this point it would take them probably an hour to meet up with her unless she walked back down the mountain. That was out of the cards. After a couple of minutes, the maid would pick herself up and continue up the path. Of course the rest of her friends get their weapons unlock
  20. Of all the annoying things that could possibly be available to do in a game, walking had to be the absolute worst. Tokki's current objective for the quest to earn the right to use her weapon was now "Walk up the mountain path." How uninteresting. Not even a guide to lead her up and talk to on the way. Not to mention that the girl also happened to be walking up the mountain in heels. That one was her choice but still. Walking up there fully clad in plate armor would be just as agonizing, she was sure. As she observed the scenery from the low point of the mountain, Tokki took in the sights
  21. After splitting up with Reese, Tokki would find herself on floor two for her next stop of quests. Earning the martial arts skill was not as easy as the other weapons in the game. You couldn’t just invest skill points to unlock it. The skill was locked behind a quest here, so if she wanted to deal any meaningful damage to her enemies she would need to finish this quest. Without that she won’t be laying down much of a smack down to her enemies. Wasting no time she would locate the quest giver’s starting location, the first problem that stuck out was the climbing of a mountain. In order to r
  22. “ナイス” The girl will say again upon seeing the shield amongst the treasure. She’ll inspect it to make sure it’s usable for him and nod. “Looks like someone has to identify the enhancements on it. I think appraisers do that but I have little experience with that. I do know that’s the way you unique enhancements which can range from pretty powerful to some being useless.” She’ll explain with her limited knowledge. Pete will then hand the two a letter with his debt encased. “Keep that crap for all I care and tell Dorian to leave me alone already.” He’ll rant before getting back to cleaning up
  23. Tokki would nod as Reese asked if they should open their chests. She wasn't not going to open it after digging it of there after all. She would give the lock on it a hefty kick and push the lid open with her foot to reveal a paltry sum of Col and some random consumables. They weren't really useful as is but maybe having a small, spare health potion wasn't the worst idea. They could probably even scrap anything they considered trash for Col somewhere. "Well, not the big haul you were expecting Pete but there it is." She'll tell the fisherman then look to her companion. "Let's see if my luc
  24. “Quests like these tend to be long on purpose so newbies can absorb the knowledge in a slow fashion. Trying to throw information in someone’s face who has little context for these things can easily overwhelm them.” Tokki will explain. “It’s probably a little easier for you since I’m here and you can bounce questions off me.” The duo would find themselves heading to a lake now, shocker. The fisherman is out on a lake. Pete didn’t seem like the nicest man but he got his point across without wasting any time like Lyle did. He would tell them that he was in fact the one that Dorian lent the m
  25. The duo had completed their objective just before Battle Maid was about to lose her cool on the annoyance that was these mobs. She would really need to work on getting those accuracy enhancing items it seemed. After a calm and collected sigh, Tokki would turn to Reese with her tone fixed from her last statement. “ナイスクリティカル. Nice hit.” She would, again, start walking towards their next objective. “Yeah let’s finish this quest up. Though, call it a hunch but I think we’re still going to go on one more excursion. We’ve been taught how to gather, now how to fight. I expect there will be a fin
