Rumors and local legend's had spread very far on the Eighth floor about a creature that terrified its NPC resident's, the Monkey King.
Boreas found himself strolling through the lush, vibrantly green forests into Florenthia Village where the tale had begun looking around for any lead or primary NPC to speak to in regards to said Monkey King. While he was here, he took a moment to appreciate the village the NPC's had created for themselves, it looked peaceful for the most part and while they had very limited resources to work with, they managed to craft the best of what they could use. However eventually as Boreas walked through the Village he was stopped by another white haired person smoking what looked to be a rolled cigar of some kind "Ey there, the names Remington, what brings you to our small village?" they said not hesitating towards the complete stranger.
Boreas placed his hand on his chest and bowed slightly "I apologize, my name is Boreas sir, and I came here because I had heard about a strong monster that roamed these wood that was a Monkey King of some kind. Might you have any information on said beast?"
The NPC's eyebrow raised a bit with a slight laugh "What's with the overly polite manner? Yer in a forest village not a masquerade ball my friend. But either way, you came to the right location nonetheless." he puffed his cigar and shifted his body leaning against one of the village homes "Me and the local guard here fought against it, once, but once was enough to get a perfect understandin' of how he operates. It's a massively oversized gorilla of some kind, acts very sporadically and without a shadow of a down is incredibly aggressive and persistent, once it layed its eyes upon me and my friend it did not want to let us go until we managed to fully hide and get away." Boreas' gaze looked placed a finger on his chin and thought about it for a moment, before too long he looked the NPC back in the eyes and asked "You mentioned it didn't let you go until you managed to fully hide, how fast is this beast would you say?"
In response he took the cigar out of his mouth and let out a laugh, before long placing it back with a puff of smoke "Kid, I'd say we were lucky we managed to hide, no matter how much distance we thought we had on the thing we'd look back and there it would be again. If ye look around in the forest you may find where we ran even, that thing can just ram right through those trees like they're nothin'. The fact you managed to come here is a miracle I'd say, majority of us residents here in this small village is too scared to even leave this area in fear of the cursed beast. The boss needs to go, soon. Otherwise we may not be able to survive for much longer, with it in the picture I don't think this village can prosper like we all wish it could." after his speech he inhaled his smoke looking up and down Boreas, and then removing the cigar from his mouth and puffing out one last breathe of smoke "I don't mean this negatively, while I'd love for you to help us. I don't think its a good idea for you to be on your own, heck I don't think you and Sewallus would be enough. You might wanna find just a little bit more fire power before I letcha know where Sewallus is."
Boreas afterward frowned a bit as he looked back down onto the ground where the NPC stood "I... don't know too many people at the moment though, Morningstar might be able to assist me but I wouldn't want to pester him again over another boss. I might have to look around and find someone or a small group to tackle this boss." he thought to himself, looking back up with a slight smile "Alright, I'll look for a party and I will take care of this Monkey King. It hopefully shouldn't take me too long." he offered the NPC another bow then turned around to begin his search for players that could assist him that might be in the area or trail onward to this village wanting to help them.

Boreas looked upon her as she spoke, still continuing to play his tune, after she finished her statement he looked back to the list of names where she had left flowers "People she knew... seems like I am not the only one that lost more than one person." he had thought to himself for a second before saying out to her "Not a bad practice to have Miss, it is no bad thing to honor the fallen and leave something for them in tribute. Tis why I play my music here, I have nothing else to offer at the given moment so I offer what I can."
After another brief moment, Boreas had finished his song then placed his Lyre Harp onto the ground as Telrenya given her name. Boreas shifted his body toward her and he placed his hand on his chest and bowed a bit toward her and said to her "Boreas, at your service Miss Telrenya." he straightened himself then picked his Lyre Harp back up, but instead of playing it, he just kept it in his arms until he had the muse to play another song. He shifted back towards the columns of names and with a saddened grin said to her "If it's any comfort, I too came here to honor people I once knew. A whole guild of players, five of my friends perished in attempts to reach the frontlines. And only I remain from the terrible mistake we all made reaching for strength."

Boreas looked back to the boss and watched as Morningstar charged at him and massively hit them hard alongside turning them into an iceberg. Boreas was surprised at the players mastery in more than just one weapon, however he figured that this would be normal for someone actively on the front lines. Boreas inspected the bosses health bar after his last punch to the gut and smirked a touch, Boreas knew even if he ran out of energy the likelihood of this boss not dying before hand would be impossible. Nodding to Morningstar's command, Boreas moved forward quickly, this time piercing the frozen enemy proved effective as it went straight through the ice shattering around it leaving a cobwebbed pattern. After he pulled his rapier from the bosses chest, the ice broke off, shattering outward as the boss let out another angered roar and looked upon the duo, the boss looking like it truly meant business. Boreas took a leap back and looked at Morningstar "We have it on the ropes, we're nearly there. Lets finish it off!" exclaiming out to him.

After Morningstar's comment Boreas nodded in return "I will have your back!" he exclaimed as he moved forward towards the boss again and repeatedly pierced the bosses chest and ended with a slash onto the mighty beast. As he finished his sword art Boreas took a step back and looked up to see the beasts next move, Ugzeke raised his large club into the sky and quickly tried to slam it down onto Boreas, however Boreas was able to see it coming for a brief moment then jumped back away from the Boss forcing it to miss and slam its weapon onto the ground once more.
Boreas continued to take a few steps away from the boss just on the off chance of it swinging towards him again then took the moment to breathe to gain his composure. Boreas looked at his own energy bar then looked back at the beast's HP, while it was getting pretty close to perishing, Boreas was concerned that he would not have enough energy to continue fighting before it fell over. "Morningstar, I am running low on stamina, I don't think I can continue to fight for much longer. I can do my best however!" he exclaimed to him making sure that information didn't go under the rug.

Morningstar and Boreas had done quite the chunk of damage to the boss already, this caused Boreas to slightly smile a bit as he felt like he was finally impressing someone to make it onto the frontlines somehow. He looked over as Morningstar exclaimed it were about to swing, Boreas with a serious look nodded then looked forward as the troll charged forward toward Boreas. While he charged towards Boreas, he too charged towards the boss as he felt like he could take advantage of how the boss was currently moving. Charging up his rapier with a blue color he looked up with a determined glare and pierced directly through the bosses chest as it slammed its weapon onto the ground with a loud thud and a audible groan. Boreas grinned at his success and pulled his weapon from the bosses chest, blood spewing from the exit wound he created then taking a leap back he exclaimed out to Morningstar "You're up! Show them no mercy!" in the heat of the moment.

Boreas' eyes had widen a touch as he exclaimed out hearing his reply "O-oh I see, I'll be sure to try to find you and see your services and see if I can get my hands on something a bit more special." he then took a moment to burn into memory his storefront being located on Floor 8 when he is to find him next for business.
Boreas nodded his head and slightly bowed with the reply "It is, after you good sir." then proceeded to follow Morningstar onto the next floor.
Floor 23 was drastically different than its previous floor, it had also been Boreas' first time stepping out onto the 23rd floor so the change was surprising to him, there was a slight clash in different temperature and climate, then changed more as they stepping into the caverns of the Underdark "This floor is certainly... different than the previous." he said to Morningstar being mindful not to grab the attention of anything that might've happened to be around.
Boreas nodded towards him understanding... slightly what he meant, the terminology was still rather new to Boreas however he still concluded he meant to say that the boss would hit like if you were to be hit by a train. Once the combat had begun, Boreas exclaimed "I'm on it!" then lunged forward after Morningstar with a large and quick pierce then followed by a myriad of slashing motions onto the troll, with its slashes showing that it had begun to start bleeding slightly.

"I see. Most interesting, I have pretty much haven't seen any sort of Unique Enhancements before, I have always only ever seen regular equipment before now, wonder how to get my hands on a rare weapon such as yours." he remarked placing a finger on his chin.
After his pierce had absolutely no effect to his surprise, with a slight growl Boreas had simply jumped back and switched to Morningstar to take care of the rest, in which not surprisingly Morningstar had completely torn the Witch to shreds reducing her into ash of data. Before long a pop up had appeared before Boreas stating that the quest was completed and his rewards, a sight he hadn't seen in quite some time. Looking back to Morningstar with a slight smile he bowed "I greatly appreciate your assistance and your compliment. I spent a while helping my friends getting to the frontlines, so I didn't exactly have time... nor a invitation to said event before. If you wouldn't mind, perhaps we could also fight something else before we parted ways?"

Boreas' tune lasted only but a few moments, while he was still rough around the edges in terms of his string play he was proud of the song he played before the empty mausoleum at least so he thought to be empty. Once he finished the last note of his song a voice exclaimed out to him in compliment, "Hm?" Boreas hummed as he turned to face the blonde figure that had entered. Boreas slightly smiled at her placing his hand on his chest bowing slightly and replied "Thank you miss, I still have a bit to polish on but I appreciate you complimenting my performance."
He straightened himself then noticed that the woman looking outward had gotten lost within the list of names on the monument, Boreas looked back to the names behind him and scrolled its list as well alongside them. After a few moments, Boreas readied himself once more and played yet another tune. However, as he played his soft yet slightly more uplifting song, he figured to speak with the player that had shared the room with him than to awkwardly play the Lyre as they tried to mourn or study the list of names "Are you here to honor a fallen friend as well? I don't mean to pry, just figured to offer conversation miss."

"I see, you must've made a good name for yourself then." Boreas said with a slight smile.
Boreas as he followed Morningstar through the grounds of the castle looked from right to left then toward the location where the crow cawed with his rapier pointed in that direction, however he eased himself when he didn't see much of anything outside of the bird. Looking back to the man he bowed slightly "That would be most appreciated, I would certainly like to attend such a meeting and see if I am of any use. I would like to think that I am strong enough to at least be considerable."
After Boreas charged forward and attacked he took a leap back to let Morningstar do his thing, however to Boreas' surprise the Witch had completely turned to ice, a sight not common to Boreas. "I've... never seen that before, might that be a different form of Paralysis?" he asked Morningstar. But, there wasn't much time to waste at least he thought that eventually the Witch would melt away from her icy prison, moving forward once again Boreas attempted to pierce the witch, however with a metallic clang hitting the ice it would appear that Boreas had accomplished nothing with his sword art. "What!? How could-" before he could finish his sentence the Witch had begun to cackle as the ice surrounding her began to melt as he gazed upon Boreas.

Today felt like every other day in Sword Art Online for Boreas, he awoke in a small Inn in the Town of Beginnings, an Inn he once stayed in very frequently but now for the last time as he sought bigger and better things with himself. There hadn't been a day, especially during his depression where he didn't think about his friends and fallen guild members he met in the real world, now all taken away from him. But, today was going to be a bit different for him, as his last overnight stay in Floor 1 would be an occasion where he would come to finally say goodbye to them and to the past that continued to echo throughout his mind. He gathered his mind and left the Inn and walked to towards his destination:
The Monument of Life.
A place not many frequent, as the names inscribed on the walls show every single living player currently in Sword Art Online, and those who fell have a red slash through their name. Boreas arrived at said Monument to pay tribute to his guild mates who had fallen. He gazed upon each of the walls to find his comrades names one by one, hoping for a chance that they wouldn't be crossed out today, however of course that had always been wishful thinking. After a moment to reconfirm all their names, Boreas with a sigh opened all of his menus into his inventory and pull out from his menu his lyre harp that he would soon use for his performer profession and said out into the presumably empty halls "I don't have much to offer you all that I lost and those whose lives were wrongfully taken from our world, but perhaps you all would hear a tune of mine one last time. And to all that may still linger, may you find solace when you finally pass." then taking a moment to prepare himself and with one last deep breathe he began to play his tune.

"That is most quite interesting, for what kind of acting did you perform?" Boreas replied interested in Morningstar's previous stint in acting.
After the battle had been won, Boreas still continued to hold his rapier in his hand just on the off chance anything else would come before the encounter with the Witch herself. Unsurprisingly, Morningstar took care of the 2nd monkey rather quickly and with little effort which Boreas continued to feel a touch outclassed at being good at AoE and single target kills. However he cleared his mind of any negative thoughts about himself and said to Morningstar "I see, I'd love to participate in the Frontlines, it was what my old guild wished to accomplish. Now, its just me, and I don't want to back down from what I started."
Eventually, the duo had found their way to the courtyard of the castle, Boreas took a moment to scan the area to see if anything else were around but found nothing. Facing Morningstar he slightly bowed and said in response "We shall." then was the first to walk inside the courtyard. The moment Morningstar walked in himself and the gates closed, the Witch in the distance let out a cackling laugh before appearing before them. Boreas looked upon her with a slightly angered look and figured any sort of conversation with the being would be absolutely fruitless. Instead Boreas charging forward with a bit more speed charged up one of his sword arts and attacked the Witch, same as before with the Elite Monkey, once pierce turned into several as he attacked the Witch dealing a decent amount to her. The Witch continued to laugh as it would seem she had been preparing something despite taking the damage she did.

Boreas left the store back out into the Town of Beginnings and looked up "Well... this is the first steps to a new life." he thought to himself with a sigh, however he didn't take too long to ponder as he continued to walk through the Town of Beginnings. As he strolled the Town of Beginnings he looked from side to side to the remaining players that could be here, yet only finds NPC's. Boreas frowned a bit, majority of players have since moved on from this floor and have migrated to the higher floors as this one became more obsolete. But to Boreas, it seems like it was yesterday when this death game had begun, he walked into the fountain square, a memory that cannot escape his mind, where all bear witness to the tragic news of how the game was created. Boreas looked over to the left where he stood that day, all his friends were still alive and well. With a bit of a grin, Boreas decided not to dwell on too many memories and continue to walk out of the Town of Beginnings.

"I see." Boreas replied "I have been preoccupied with a lot of things in months prior that took me away from getting to know a lot of things, I still have quite a bit to learn when it comes to these quests it would seem."
Eventually as they continued to walk up the windy scale, Star returned with his own questions to fill the gaps, without much hesitation and with a slight smile he replied "Performer, I used to play a fair amount of musical instruments back home, with the severe lack of musicians in Aincrad at the moment I think I could bring a sense of peace and therapy through song."
However, not long after he replied honestly to Morningstar, he looked forward and up to the sound of flapping wings and saw 4 flying monkeys descend onto the party, Boreas immediately pulled out his rapier however before he could act he watched as Morningstar tore into each of them leaving none for Boreas to attack. Boreas was a bit surprised and shocked at this mans capability to cut down monsters extremely fast, however his nerves cooled quickly as they came and replied to Morningstar as he looked towards him "My good sir, might you be one of the frontliners? I haven't quite seen someone tear apart a group of enemies so easily as you today."
But, only after a handful of moments after Boreas had asked his question they were met with flapping wings once more as two more flying monkeys descended upon the two, however these ones looked like they were more capable than the previous four. Not wasting anytime, Boreas lunged straight into action with his rapier glowing with a sword art prepared, the Elite Monkey with a roar tried to swipe at Boreas however he quickly dodged out of the way and with a piercing thrust, one pierce turned into several as the Elite Monkey eventually dropped to zero HP and exploded into data crystals into the air. However, one Elite Monkey still stood, looking angry upon Boreas after killing its friend in arms.

With a slight smile Boreas replied back "It is a pleasure of meeting you sir Morningstar, apologies for the accusation to think you were a witch. I will be a crafter within time, I had come here to this floor originally to find a good place to put my store, however I ended up hearing other players or NPC's talk about a weird rumor about the forest which ended me up here with you. I have not had knowledge this was a quest of some kind." after a moment he blinked a couple times trying to process what he had mentioned, but it slowly made a little more sense given Witches in past games tend to toss fireballs "I will keep note about fireballs then." then positioned himself towards the path to walk towards the castle looming over their heads.
While walking Boreas thought it would be a good time to bring up a small conversation before they reached their conversation "What brought you to the location of the witches book? Were you also after another of these items at the end of this road, possibly waiting for someone outside of me?"

After a few moments of reading he had looked over towards the voice that exclaimed out to him, with a bit of a concerned look he said out to them "Get... whisked away? Might you be the fabled Witch from the rumors people have been talking about?" However not long after the wind started to pick up and the man spoke once more, this time around Boreas was a bit more certain that this person was not a Witch but instead a player who was wanting to extend their help, quickly as he could still holding onto the tome, he sent a party request to the man that had offered his help and said out to him "I may not know who you are Sir, however your help is most appreciated-"
His words were cut short as the tornado appeared to sweep both Boreas and the new party member he had acquired basically last minute and they were taken turbulently to a darker mountain like range with a castle at its very peak. Once the storm had passed, Boreas took a moment to breathe then look to the player he had just met "Might you be alright? I didn't quite except an actual tornado to take us here. I guess names are in order-" he straightened himself and patted himself to knock the dirt and dust that might've gotten onto him from the Tornado then placed a hand on his chest with a bow "Boreas, at your service." after their greetings were given he looked up to the castle then back to the man "Have you been here before?"

It didn't take Boreas too long before reaching the Forest of Memories, if his own memory served him correctly, there isn't too much threatening in the forest so the rumor seemed a bit... odd. However, Boreas didn't mind the peace and quiet as he walked around and investigated the area, with his new rapier at his side and wearing his usual attire he walked around looking for anything that could be the supposed Tome from the rumor that he heard. Eventually he strolled into the area in question where the book was located and a visitor not known by Boreas, he took a moment to scan the area however something had caught his glance, he walked over to what appeared to be a book that was buried in leaves and ivy. Going down on one knee, he brushed the leaves and pulled the ivy away from the book and tried to look for a title on the cover or spine. "Witches Guide to Better Brewing" with a slight concerned face, he picked up the Tome but yet to open and read its contents as he looked around and said out to himself "Guess it wasn't a rumor, a supposed Witch does live in these wood. But why would something come to a peaceful land such as this?" he inspected the book before opening to see its condition, it had looked mostly fine like your usual old book would with the scent of old pages and dust, however from the page side it appeared that a few or handful of pages were removed at one point. Before long, Boreas would open the book to see what contents that still remained within its text.

"-Did you hear about the supposed Witch that curses this floor?"
A phrase that caught Boreas' attention when he strolled the 22nd floor looking for a location for him to set up shop, stopping in his tracks he looked over to the two people having a conversation. "A witch? Here? What would she be doing here?" the man responded to their friend.
"Bro its real! I heard about it through someone that deep into the Forest of Memories here there is a Witch that has a castle! But you have to find a hidden tome to be even be able to see it!" they replied. "Sounds like some myth to me, were you wanting to go into the forest to find out?" Boreas placed his finger on his chin thinking about it for a moment, regardless of their answer Boreas continued to walk after hearing enough to satiate his curiosity "Hm... if this is true it could be a good starting point for me to get stronger or prove how strong I have become... I might look into this rumor myself." he thought to himself, then looked through his menu's to his map looking for the location of the Forest of Memories and started walking towards that area still looking around at the area for a good spot to open up shop along the way.

Boreas after picking up a few things updating his equipment, he needed just a few more things which brought him to Floor 5, another blacksmith he had heard about in passing. Eventually he found his way to "Forged by the Sun" and entered the building, after a bit looking at his surroundings he placed a hand on his chest and with a slight bow "Excuse me, I am looking for someone to complete a custom weapon for me, I can pay with Col, however I will say I can offer my services in terms of boss assistance or I am an upcoming musician I can very much remember you and offer a few songs for free once I get that started. I would greatly appreciate your assistance."

Entering the store, Boreas looked around hearing the tune of a Rock song, admiring the environment of the rustic design of the owner's store. While Rock was not Boreas' preference when it comes to music, Boreas still appreciated that music even in this game is still appreciated. After finishing a wicked sweet guitar solo, the owner of the store rakes his hand through his hair and looked upon Boreas. "Hey there young'un, you here for the request to be a performer?"
"Indeed I am." Boreas replied placing his hand on his chest and bowing before the store owner.
"Pah! No need to be so polite the names Landon Axel, I am glad to help ye. Before we get to business, what kind of instruments are you looking to play there?" Landon replied with enthusiasm. Boreas straightened himself and replied back to the older gentleman "Boreas at your service, in the real world I played with a harp and violin, though I do also know how to play the piano." Landon immediately widened his eyes a bit then sighed "Ugh.. you fancy young'uns with no taste in true soul, either way you still have a heart for music. Definitely not the request I was expecting however I am willing to teach ye the ways of music here in Aincrad, but I am getting a touch too low on recording crystals to make more music to sell, if ye get me some Materials and come back I can show ye the means of creating said crystals so you can open a storefront of ye own. That good for ya?" Boreas blinking a few times looking down at his quest pop-up quickly reading a few more details cracked a small smile and replied "I think that should work, thank you. I shall return with the materials you will need. Should be back before long." he bowed once more to the man.

"How long has it been since you've all been severed from our reality?" is a question that pondered into Boreas' head for countless weeks and months, ever since the fall of his friends and comrades it had only been the thing he had been thinking about ever since.
Lately however, he had found a new found determination and get himself back into gear and hopefully join the Frontlines with time. However, first he thought it would be helpful if he could provide something to the table outside of his current level and skill set. Walking around the streets of different floors to get himself more equipment he saw a fair mix of a lot of professions: cooks, blacksmiths, artisans, alchemists... However, to his surprise he noticed a severe lack of Performers selling music as of late. To him, music had always been an expression of art and therapy, while of course he would want to get more of the buffs that music can provide out there, he thought that he could provide music in terms of calming people down to those in need. The day prior, he had heard of a location in which are teaching beginners the profession "hole-in-the-wall music shop" which brought Boreas back to the first floor and asking around for directions that could lead him there. It took him only a few moments to properly find the direction he needed to be and arrive at his destination. Looking up and down toward the store front he could only think to himself, placing a finger on his chin "A bit too on the nose, but if this is the location I certainly cannot judge."Boreas Thread Stats:

Boreas mournfully nodded his head in response to Telrenya "Yes. My whole guild, we tried to do a dungeon that were a handful of levels above us to try to gain more in levels to reach the frontlines, and I had the displeasure of seeing them perish one by one. To put it bluntly, it was a nightmare given form. Yet designed by our own mistakes." while he said this with obvious sadness and almost a tremble in his words, somehow managed to keep a more composed face and glance onto the wall of names.
Eventually a silence was shared between the two, Boreas thinking only of everything he had seen that day. He remembered the whole strategy crumbling apart as they couldn't handle how much stronger the enemies actually were, and remembering how quickly the tank fell, then followed by his friends enraged at the loss of another in attempts to avenge their fallen friend, yet if only a surge in strength to get revenge worked the same way in this world as it would the real one. However, breaking back into reality from his thoughts he looked over to Telrenya with a slight smile to her offer of a kind gesture "It's alright. Their memories shall not be forgotten, I don't intend to let their deaths control my will to fight any longer."
Though, it was soon after he said his own words of self-encouragement where Telrenya had begun to talk about her own loss. Boreas listened intently and kept his gaze upon Telrenya as she spoke of her own story, eventually Boreas looked to his Lyre Harp and played a tune before he spoke "I see. It would seem your guild had different goals in mind, hers was to face the heat of battle but met her fate either in the blaze of glory, or met a eventual end of vanity. Either way, a loss of a loved one is never news one wishes to hear or see, especially inside a world such as this; a game with no real prize waiting for us at its end, yet a prize we all still fight for. I offer my condolences for your loss Miss Telrenya."
Boreas as he still continued to play his song, had to think for a brief moment trying to remember how long ago it was. It had been so long, and Boreas spent so much time on his lonesome that he admitably lost track of time. He replied "At least half a year id say, though I spent so much time on my own that I have lost track of time. It could've been a lot longer than that Miss. What about you?"
