[SP-F4] Time to hunt part 4

So now Zandra have landed in the place of almost beeing out of materials, again. She have been hunting on the three first floors, now its time to go out hunting on her own 'homefloor'. The snowy winterland of floor four. She have gotten quite some profits from her previous hunts, she hoped that ice elementals was gonna be just as giving as the mobs on the other floors. But they wouldnt give her anything if she just stood here, slacking of. So she grabbed her whip and headed out from the shop. She havent more then got out from the safe zone before beeing attacked by four very weak ice-elementals. Her whip crushed them all and rewarded her with 4 materiials.

When Zandra had acepted the rewards and put them into her supply bag that would keep the quality of the materials to not beeing reduced like it does if she place it directly in her inventory. She is realy greatful to her blonde tailor friend, Ariel, that made it to her. In exchange she gave her an bloodstone shard that would increase her helth with quite a bunch. That was a change she still should have done, a perfect item that have incresaed her output with perfect potions and crystals by on hundred percent. She looked around to see if she could find any useful materials. But the only thing she saw was hundreds of pixels, slowly fading out.

The hunt that started so good right from the start had quickly turned down, not that good anymore. Well, she have only been out for a few minutes. But since it started so good it felt so much longer time. Well, only thing to do was to keep looking right. For a long time ago, when she was a dagger wielder, she had walked to a lake not that far away from here. Maybe there would be any good opponents for her that she could swing her whip on to get those precious materials she needed. She started to push thru thru the snow, leaving a small ditch behind her in the snow. Her heavy cloak brushed out the shape a little by brushing down snow from the edges and down in the ditch.

Zandra was making the ditch longer and longer for each footep she took. Thanks to her armour, the cold didnt bothered her at all. She was glad she had ordered that special trait for it when Oikawa the feint ahd made it for her. She have herd that he is back in business again. Zandra didnt knew him very good and didnt had any idea about where he had been, and because she dont know him very well, she think it would be rude to the first thing you see someone that have been absent for a long time and say. Hey, where have you been? That would be very inpolite. But now she was here to gather materials, not walk around and dream. Right then she spotted a crystal on the ground, she picked it up and increased her daily gathering material count with one.

The snow was still falling down from the sky, snowflake by snowflake. Also, her eagle familiar circled high above her. From time to time letting out a cry that was herd for kilometers away. Those hours she spent looking for her featherclad friend was realy wirth it. She havent regret it even a single time yet. The eagle then left the airspace a dozens of meters above her. She came flying down towards Zandra and landed on her shoulder, letting out another cry. Like saying 'come on, why you so slow?' Just when Zandra was gonna answer, four ice elementals appeared, she used her AOE sword art and all of them died.

One by one, every ice elemental exploded and turned into thousands of white pixels, almost like the snowflakes that always surronded Zandra on this floor. Then a reward screen poped up. There all of the ice elementals have dropped one piece of useful ingredient each. She accpeted the reward and placed the materials into her supply bag. She was in great debt to Ariel-the crowned lion for making it for her. It have helped her in her crafting hundreds of times, and beeing one reason to why she is the alchemist she is today. Another four ice elementals appeared and Zandra repeated the procedure she had with the previous enemies.

There all of the ice elementals have dropped one piece of useful ingredient each. She accpeted the reward and placed the materials into her supply bag. When she had the materials in her supply bag instead of her inventory, they kept the quality much better compared to when beeing in the inventory. She no longer was surprised by another group of mobs appeared, but she slayed them just like she had done before today.

Zandra streatched her body and checked how many materials she had gathered so far. She got choked when she saw the result. She already had almost twenty useful ingredients. Ad the day had only started. If her luck continued like this, who knows how much she gonna have at days end.

Zandra looked around. She have been so consentrated on killing the groups of mobs that spawned around her one by one. She realised she didnt recognized anything of the surrondings where she was at the moment. Was she lost? No, there was no such thing as lost when she was adventuring on her home-floor. It maybe was gonna take a little longer time to get home at days end. But she was not lost. Zita left her shoulder and fluttered with its gracious wings when she rised higher and higher into the air. Zadra always had Zita that could show her the way out of here. Just when Zita left her shoulder, four more ice-elementals spawned and met the same fate as their brother before them.

Just when she had closed the supply bag she herd a noise from a bush a few meters away. She unshethed her whip and sneaked carefully towards it. The bush was right beside a huge rock, and behind the rock was four ice-elementals, they all was very low leveled. She jumped forth and released her AOE sword art.

When the pixels have totaly faded out, a new group spawned just moments later. Zandra saw she was instantly surronded on every side. She charged up her AOE whip art that she had used six times today already, this was gonna be the seventh. When she felt the art was ready, she relesed it and her whip twirled, shattering all of the snow creatures.

She got a little tired of taking down group by group of ice elementals, even if they was low eveled, when they waas so many it her stamina took a hit and reduced steadily. She decided to see if she could spot any material in the old usual way. And that she did. She succeded and spotted an ice crystal just a couple of seconds after she thinked the thougth.

Zandra placed the crystal down in her supply bag that she had got from the crowned lion Ariel, in exchange of a bloodstone shard tha increase her health. She looked around, waited for more ice-elementals to spawn around her. But even when she had waited for half an hour, there wasnt a single one in sight. Maybe she didnt was in a spawn area. Was there possible any materials on the ground, or maybe up in a tree. She started to search the surrondings closely to be certain she wont miss a single one. She was out to find ingredients for her alchemical brewing, then it wouldnt be good she missed something by not looking closely enough.

Zandra pushed forward theu the snow, making deep footrpint in the powder like white she walked thru. Her cloak making them fade out a little behind her. She piscked up a handful of snow and tried to make a snowball of it. But it was too cold outiside so when she thougth she was done and was gonna throw it, she only threw a fine white powder.''Oh my god, please cant there be any more materials here somewhere. Soon Im gonna skip this and go back home.'' she took a deep sigh, making a cloud in front of her mouth from her breath.

When she took another deep breath she saw the small cloud that appeared infront of her in the air. It looked kinda cute. She tried to make a smoke circle that she have seen people do back in the real world while smoking cigarrs. Thou, her attempt with breath in cold tempratures didnt turned out as good as those smoke circle pros that she had seen in pubs and such. She decided to try something she was better at, looking for any possible materials. She took a scan around the area to see if there was anything obvious, like a small crystal node, or maybe a flower, or a mushroom. She ddint saw any of these, but she saw a turquise leaf that she walked to and picked, placed it in her suppy bag.

Zandra changed her mind, she took up the leaf to inspect it. It was a realy wonderful looking leaf. If any none alchemist would see her now, they probably would think shes crazy or something. It was something special with alchemists and strange and possible ingredients like this. Or maybe it was only her. Well, it didnt mattered now. Now that she was all alone she could do anything without feeling embarrased. She placed back the leaf in the supply bag. She throwed herself in the snow and started to make a snow angel. Thinking of those few years she was still playing outside. Then suddenly four snow creatures jumped out and attacked her, but she just charged up her AOE and slayed them before they could touch her.

It was starting to get the time when you should head back home to the safe zone. Thou she had realy became stronger since when she opened her shop for the first time. She would probably survive a night or two out in the wild alone. But she didnt had a fireplace or some hot choclate nearby.

She stopped, closed her eyes and tilted her head sligthly backwards. Then she took a deep breath, imgined that she was feeling the warmth from the open fireplace. And also the wonderful smell of a cup of hot choclate, or even better, two cups of hot choclate. A wide smile appeared on her face. Then her daydream slowly disapeared and she got back to reality. Now she only felt that smell you feel from snow. She have never thougth about it before, but snow had a special smell, she wouldnt be able to describe it. It was like... No she couldnt find the words to describe it with. Then she knew how to describe it if someone asks, try it yourself.

Zandra opened up her supply bag to check how the day have turned out. Now she was at more then a third to hundred ingredients. That she thougth to herself was a accepted day work. So she turned around and started heading back. Even when she had enough materials to saticfy her need for about three, maybe four days, she still looked if she could find any more. You never have too many materials. She rembered back when she had more then a hundred, then she thougth she would never run out of them, but her she was.

When she was on the border to the safe zone, she could even spot the line in the snow that indicated where the safe zone started, or ended if you comes from the other way. Then she one last time today got attacked by snow creatures from every side, there was four of them, so she charged up her AOE sword art and slayed these ones as well as she had done so many times earlier today. With a smirk on her face she crossed the border to the safe zone with another bunch of materials. She entered her shop, walked straigth for her armchair infront of the auntomaticaly lit fireplace. There she sat down and took a newly brewed cup of hot choclate. She took a sip.''Ahhh... Now this is how you should spend an afternoon after a material hunt.''
