Jomei 0 Posted January 11, 2016 #1 Report Share Posted January 11, 2016 After throwing his cloak over his shoulders and equipping his brown leather armor that sat over a green and white shirt, he turned to Zandra. She too was equipping her armor, this time making sure to put on her heavy armor and cloak. Probably would be smarter for her to choose that over her light armor anyway, being they would be out fighting one of the field bosses. Jomei smiled at the girl when she said she was ready, "Right, lets head out then." Walking to the opposite side of the cabin, Jomei opened the door. Immediately, the warmth of the fire was snuffed out by the cold, winter winds. He let out a heavy sigh, which was clearly visible in front of his face, before stepping down the stairs, his boots sinking into the snow. Bringing his fingers up to his lips, he let out a sharp whistle.. and in moments, a familiar small tawny owl came to perch upon Jomei's shoulder. "Sorry I've been away for awhile Adere. Ready to go on another adventure?" he said, patting the bird on the head. Link to post Share on other sites
Zandra 0 Posted January 11, 2016 #2 Report Share Posted January 11, 2016 Zandra was exited, time to go on a quest again with Jomei. They have done a few together, and now they would head out on one that would be a little challenging. To save that child in the cave was mostly just to complete the quest for those extra skill points. And of course because she wanted a reason to be alone with Jomei. She followed him out in the cald winterweather that never ended up on four. The newly fallen snow laid thick on the ground. Then Jomei whistled. Zandra that thougth what was coming looked up in the air. And she was right. His little bird arrived not long after the whistled had faded out. She looked at her shoulder and it was empty. So she took a step back and looked inside the shop.''Hey Zita! Youre not coming?'' the eagle looked down at her from the roofbeams with a 'dont bother me'-look.''Adere is here.'' immediatly the eagle let out her wings and darted out thru the open door and let out a cry when she saw Adere, and Zandra could swere that the eagle smiled. Zandra did that as well, it made her glad that her familiar was happy. She closed the door and started the walk with Jomei. Link to post Share on other sites
Jomei 0 Posted January 11, 2016 Author #3 Report Share Posted January 11, 2016 Jomei turned to look over his other shoulder as he heard Zandra calling out to her familiar.. who happened to be inside of her shop. Jomei blinked before raising an eyebrow, speaking to Adere while watching, "I.. I had no idea that that eagle was even in the shop the whole time..." he brought his hand up and rubbed the back of his head, not sure if he should be worried that his eyesight is going.. or if that bird of prey is really good at hiding. After making mention of Adere being here, the eagle flew out from the shop, causing Adere fly up into the air to greet its friend. Jomei placed his hands on his hips as he watched the two birds fly around with the snow falling and smiled. His eyes then moved down to Zandra as she made her way towards him. "Alright, lets get going." he said as he turned to lead her back into the wilds of Floor Four. Jomei walked with his hand on the handle of his rapier as it sat, ready to be pulled out of its sheath. Jomei looked around through the trees for what he believed to be the spawning point of the monster they were looking for. "So, I hear there's this other field boss here on this floor that's a bit tougher to fight than the Avalanche. With this guy, apparently there's a small sequence of things you have to do before it spawns.. though I couldn't get any specifics. Any ideas?" Link to post Share on other sites

Thou I think that was just a quincidence.'' she looked around. The two birds flew around above the trees and played. It felt good to see that Zita had gotten a friend. Especially when that friend is the familiar of her favourite player. While they was walking they got to an area that was clear of trees. And in the middle there was something on the ground. Zandra slowly approached it. It looked like a skeleton of some short, some kind of skull.''Ehm Jomei, come over here.'' she said waving to him but not looking away from the object that had got her attention.''Do you think this can have something to do with the quest?'' she squat down to get a close look on it. Jomei 0 Posted January 11, 2016 Author #5 Report Share Posted January 11, 2016 Jomei turned to look at Zandra, who was crouched over, looking at something on the ground in a clearing. He walked over to her and stood over her, slouching over slightly to get a better loon. On the ground was parts of a skeleton of some large beast. The skull was sitting up against a boulder, and it was unlike any other animal he had seen before. The skull was long, or at least, what was once the mouth or teeth of the beast were. Its eye sockets were thin and slanted, with an everlasting glare. Sitting in the snow just below its defined cheekbones were two large tusks, each as long as the skull itself. Both were cracked and falling apart, and a dark color, almost a black. Jomei noticed at the top of its head, the skull was cracked, most likely the remains of the blow that killed the beast. "The hell...?" Jomei said under his breath, standing up straight and looking at it. Looking around, he noticed another bone sitting near the skull as well, where all the others were just as decaying as the tusks that came from its face. He picked up the bone, realizing just how heavy it was as he held it. "Wow, whatever this thing was .. it was huge, and tough. But whatever killed it must have delivered this nasty blow to the head, see?" he used the bone to tap at the crack in the skull. But from being out in the wet snow for God knows how long, it became slippery and fell out of his hands, crashing into the skull and making a loud noise that echoed through along the mountainside, and even the nearby cave. Zandra nooded when he said the crack was caused by the same thing that killed it. 'It must have been quite a powerful strike' she thougth to herslef. She glanced when she saw something move, it was the bone. It started to slide out of Jomeis hand. Zandra didnt dared to imagine what would happen if he dropped it on the skull.''Jomei!'' was the only thing she could say before it slipped out of his hand. It was like she saw it in slow-motion. The bone slowly fell thru the air and striked right on the skull. She looked up at Jomei when she herd a word came out from his mouth after the loud sound had faded out. She stood up.''Oops?'' she said with an irritated voice and looked at him with her hands on her hips.''Yeah, thats was a realy big oops. You just ha...'' she got interrupted by a loud growl, even louder then the sound from the skull. She turned around on the spot towards the cave and backed a few steps. Whatever it was that made it, it wasnt happy to have been awaken.''Ehm... I... I think there is someone... someone that... that didnt liked the sound of that.'' she said with eyes wide open, you could hear on her voice that she was terrified. He turned to her, his brows furrowed as she scolded him. She stopped mid sentence, which Jomei took as an opportunity to reply to her. However, he then realized just why the girl had stopped speaking. From the large cave off in the distance, there was a low growling sound, like something waking up from a long sleep... and it was not happy. Jomei looked down at the skull that he had dropped the bone on, thinking of the noise it made, he realized it was his fault. He looked over at Zandra, who looked scared beyond belief at whatever it was that made the noise. Jomei stepped in front of Zandra to protect her, reaching across his body and pulling out his rapier. "Stay behind me. I promise I'll keep you safe." From the cave, the sounds of a large creature walking forward could be heard, shaking the ground. Soon, the beast began to emerge from the shadows. Jomei's olive green eyes widened when he realized just what had woken up. The creature that glared at them looked almost like a dragon without wings. Large, horned bumps scaled its spine and tail. On its head, it had pikes protruding from the back of its head, and two large tusks curving out to the front. From what he could guess, this beast was the same as the skeleton they found earlier. Once it was fully emerged, it let out a piercing screech of a roar, causing the ground to shake and snow to fall from the mountains and trees. As the beast had its large snout in the air, letting out its loud roar, Jomei looked over his shoulder to see the owl hovering there, waiting for Jomei. "Alright Adere, lets go." Jomei said lowering himself before taking off running, the owl flying at his side. As the two approached, Adere picked up speed and circled around the large reptile, catching its attention and causing it to look the other way. Jomei took this as an opportunity to strike, charging up his Delta Attack sword art. He slid to a stop on the icy ground as his sword began to glow gold and he cut a large triangle shape into the beast's chest. It let out another roar as its head shot back towards Jomei, swiping its large claws trying to catch him. However, Jomei was fast enough and threw his body backwards to avoid the attack. Luckily Jomei looked the other and didnt saw her red face of embarrasment, that she cower behind him. A few seconds later they saw it was that had interrupted their small conversation about oops. She let out a scream when it bursted out from the trees. It looked like a huge wingless dragon. Its head looking almost identical to the cracked skull. When it let out another roar, Zandra slipped on a spot of ice and fell in the snow. The moment later she saw both Jomei and Adere enter the fight together. Zandra quickly pushed herself up.''Zita, I dont want you to die, so pleace, fly away out of its reach and dont come back before its dead.'' she said without looking at her feathered familiar. The eagle let otu a cry and Zandra started to run forward. She quickly went thru all her sword arts to decide which one to go for. She started to charge it up when approaching it. She saw Jomei throwing himself out of the way. The next second she activated her Uppercut. The cross at the tip of the whip flew in a large circle backwards. When it had completed a round and was on the way up she had taken a step forward and the whipp made a long red stripe on its stomach. The attack would have sent a smaller opponent in the air, but against this beast it barely moved at all.''Oh darn, have to make it harder next time.'' As he got up, he saw Zandra's whip fly past him, leaving a large gash on the beast's stomach. "Nice shot!" he called out, stepping back to gain some distance and find a good vantage point to attack. Looking around her had noticed that Zandra sent Zita off to avoid being killed. A smart move, being she merely just befriended the familiar not too long ago. Jomei looked over his shoulder to see Adere hovering there, looking straight forward. "You can leave too if you want Adere.. I don't want to see you getting hurt." but the owl did not move from its spot. Jomei smirked, "Alright then.. lets go in for another attack." Jomei sprinted forward towards the dragon-like beast with his rapier pulled back and his other arm bent in front of his body. Adere, on the other hand, flew high up into the air above the beast. As Jomei got closer, Adere dove straight towards the giant, leveling out and soaring just above its head. Its large eyes followed the bird as it flew over him, giving Jomei another chance to strike. He pushed off of the ground and jumped into the air towards its head, his blade glowing its gold hue. Thrusting forward, his rapier connected with the tip of its snout, another four piercing lights struck into the beast's face. Closing its eyes tight, the snow beast cringed in pain, backing up from the man that caused it. Its tail crashed into multiple trees, knocking them to the ground as it whipped about. "Zan, switch!" It felt like they was the same, thou they was two bodys. But after all Adere was trained for this, maybe its like the bond she have with Zita when they are out searching for things. She woke up from her thougths by Jomeis voice. "Zan, switch!"he said. She quickly focused on the enemy again. She remebered Jomeis attacks and his awesome jumps. She decided to try that herself. She took a few steps back, this time not because she was scared, this time it was to get some space so she can build up some momentum. She took a quick breath before attacking the beast. She is buidling up her momentum while running,and when she felt the skill was ready, she activated her sword art. Her body flew up in the air, doing a front flip to build up momentum in the whip. When she landed back on her feets she held the handle in both her hands and moved it downwards with all strength she could gather. The iron cross at the tip of the whip stroke the in front of the beast, shaking the ground under its feets. Zandra looked up and saw its health bar decrease. She went back to Jomei again.''There, your turn.'' she said while catching her breath. Jomei 0 Posted January 13, 2016 Author #11 Report Share Posted January 13, 2016 Jomei's eyes lit up as Zandra leapt up into the air, flipping her body to build up more momentum with her whip, and then crashed it down into the snow beast. The force of Zandra's attack caused the reptilian monster to stagger, and its stomach touched the ground for a moment. Jomei did not notice that however, for his eyes were fixed on Zandra after that powerful attack.. finding her whole show of power.. very attractive. He quickly turned his head back to the beast when he realized they were still in the middle of a fight, "R-right" he said, shaking his head. Jomei clenched his rapier in his hand and ran forward, looking to finish off the snow beast with one last attack. As he got closer, he noticed the dragon closing its eyes, as if resting. In his mind, Jomei figured the beast was accepting its death at his hands. With one last step, the man thrusted his sword forward into the beast's scaly body, only for his sword to bounce off of it as if he tried to stab a boulder. "The hell?" he questioned. He soon realized that the ground just around the snow beast was frozen solid, just as it was. It had used some sort of power to encase itself in ice to protect it from Jomei's attack. Is he gonna sleep now? Making us look like fools defeating a sleeping mob?'' she said to herself when Jomei was busy with attacking. But the boss's health didnt decreased even a single bit from his attack. She looked at him and saw his rapier just bounce off from its skin. She thougth exactly the same thing that Jomei let out from his mouth, the hell?. Thou Jomeis attack bounched off from the snow beasts skin, it at least seemed to have waked it up.''What the heck was that?'' she said to Jomei when he passed her when she headed forth towards it. If that creature had slept when Jomei attacked, she would make him sleep again. She stopped two meters away from it.''HEY! Im down here!'' she shouted to the boss. It seemed her plan worked. She held her arm backwards and swung the whip in a huge circle forward. When her hand was in same heigth as her shoulder she quickly turned her hand to change the direction of her weapon. This resulted in only the cross at the tip of the whip hitted the monster. Right between the eyes. After he hit she saw it closing its eyes again, but this time it also got the stunned status at its health bar. She headed back to Jomei. ''Finish it off now honey.'' she said and gave him a warm smile as she passed him. What if it was not only protecting itself, but preparing for a powerful attack. The last thing he wanted was for the boss to unleash that power on Zandra. "W-Wait!" he called out, but the girl was already preparing her whip. As she cracked it and crashed it into the icy armor, he heard a crack. As soon enough, parts of the ice were falling off, though not all of it. Jomei's worried face turned into a smirk as she walked back to him, though his eyes were on the dragon as it showed anger that its armor was broken, but it could not move very well because of Zandra's stunning effect. As Zandra walked past him, she told him to finish it off. Jomei furrowed his brows and glared at the beast, "With pleasure." The man jumped backwards from where he stood with Zandra. He lowered his body to the ground, arching his back so his fingertips were just touching the ground and knees slightly bench, as if he were about to run a race. He then shot forward, kicking up snow behind him. As the man ran forward, increasing his speed, he shifted his arms so his shoulder was taking point, his sword arm still held back. The dragon's eyes followed the man as he got closer and closer, until his shoulder crashed into the lower throat of the snow beast. With the extra strength from his charge skill and speed, Jomei knocked the snow beast into the air onto its back legs, falling backwards towards the cave it came out from. Jomei then crouched down and prepared his sword art. As his rapier began to glow a gold light, he hot up into the air like a rocket with his Flashing Penetrator sword art, a dusty cloud of snow pushing out to the sides as he did so. With his sword pointing forward, the man pierced straight through the beast and kicked off the mountain behind it. The snow beast vanished into an array of white crystals, leaving Jomei to back flip from the mountain side and through the air, landing in the snow. Zandra 0 Posted January 14, 2016 #14 Report Share Posted January 14, 2016 Zandras eyes could barely follow Jomei as he attacked the beast for the final strike. He must have activated his charge skil. Since one second he stood on the ground and a few later on the other side of the beast. She saw the healthbar that have once been green had turned to yellow and then red, and now it dropped down to null. The snowbeast let out a roar before exploding into thousands of white and blue crystals. Zandra let out a sigh of relief. Not only have they defeated the enemy quickly, but both of them was unharmed as well. This fght couldnt have gone much better. When Jomei came back to her she clapped her hands.''That was awesome.'' she said and throwed herself at him and kissed him.''But what Im most happy for is that both of us are safe and alive.'' second later a high eagle cry was herd and Aderes playmate arrived. His green orbs followed the snow until he saw Zandra standing there, looking both relieved and happy. Jomei smiled and walked over to her, greeted by the girl clapping her hands before wrapping her arms around him and kissing him. Jomei caught the girl in his arms, holding her slightly off the ground. He laughed as the girl kissed him, "I'm happy you're safe too. Who would've thought that something that big and strong was hidden on such a low floor." Placing the girl back on the ground and leaving one arm around her, he turned his head to look at the remains of the original snow beast. Jomei opened up his inventory with a flick of his wrist and scrolled through to find the item he just got from finishing off the boss. "Hm.. 'Essence of Steel'.. Apparently I can rank up a weapon or other item with this." He brought his hand back down to close the inventory. He turned to Zandra with a smile, "So, you ready to see if we can go find that dungeon?" Link to post Share on other sites

Now Zandra could relax, letting her shoulders fall down and let out a deep sigh.''Yeah, if there is bosses like this on floor four, I cant even imagine how its gonna look at floor forty.'' a chill went theu her body and she shuddered from the thougth of it. Well, it would take sometime to get there, and at that time this would probably like the nepents is for her now. But that wasnt something to go deeper into now, now they was gonna look for a dungeon.''Of course Im ready. Gonna be so exiting.'' then she came to think about something.''But Jomei, Im may be wrong but.'' she paused to think thru before continue.''Is there realy any dungeons here down at four? "Ahehe, y-yeah. You're right. hehe. I guess I forgot." He brought his arms back down and smiled at Zandra. "I guess we might as well head up to Floor Five then, shouldn't we?" The man was excited to search for a dungeon with Zandra. He knew that these dungeons were not to be taken lightly, and the bosses that they held were most likely stronger than the snow beast that they fought just now. However, he knew Zandra was strong, neither did he doubt his own strengths. "Come on." Jomei said, gesturing with his hand for Zandra to follow him. Zandra shrugged her shoulders.''Well, even the master can forgot sometimes right?'' she said, meaning he was a master, thou she didnt said on what. Then she felt the cold air around her hand was instead Jomeis wamr hand. The last bit of her beeing afraid ran of her from his touch. She gripped the hand tight.''So, you mean we shall go back to that desert hell on floor five again? Cant we go to some other floor? Or we can take a quick look and if we dont find any we move on upwards?''she asked him.''Or if you wanna go for five, I absolutely gonna follow you.''she added before he could answer. She wasnt a very big fan of five, but if Jomei wanted to go there, she wouldnt say no nor hesitate to follow him, she just wondered if they maybe could search on another floor. He thought for a moment, thinking just what floor would be a good choice. "Hm... what would be a good choice." By now, the two were walking through the town of Snowfrost towards the blue teleporter ring. As they stood in front of the warp pad, Jomei grinned at Zandra. "Floor Seven it is! Warp, Nimbus!" and in seconds, the couple's bodies were engulfed in a blue light and gone as the light faded. --Floor Seven-- As the light faded and the two found themselves on Floor Seven, Jomei needed to blink a couple of times for his eyes to adjust to the change of light. Jomei turned his head to make sure Zandra's body had warped with him up here. "Alright, lets go see what we can find." Pulling on the girl's hand, he hurried forward through the streets of Nimbus. "Oh yeah." Jomei said with a chuckle, stopping from walking. He brought up his hand to open his menu and inventory. After scrolling through the items, he tapped twice on one option, causing two rectangular candy bars to appear in his hand. "If you need it, I have these from Ssendom. They really help to make you more alert." he said with a chuckle, pulling the wrapper off of one of the bars and biting into the chocolate. -1 Chocolate Bar +2 LD for thread Link to post Share on other sites

They hurried thru the city, Zandra felt her heart pounding faster and harder. But not because she was exhausted or tired, but because of her exitment. Thou before they exited the town, Jomei stopped and it seemed he had just remebred something. She quickly recognised them, it was those choclate bars that Ssendom made. She herself had used some of them as well. She grabbed one and was just gonna unwrap it when she changed her mind.''Thanks but no thanks, I think its better you save it for another time.''she said with and gave it back to him.''But you, if you are eating that, probably you should look for the dungeoon.''she opened up her inventory and after a few swipes, a halfmask appeared in her hand.
