Hikoru appeared on the 9th floor once more, sweat covering his face as soon the heat from the nearby volcanoes his his body. He breathed and sat down on a nearby bench, taking a moment to try and get used to the heat. He was used to moderate temperatures of humidity, but not like this. It's why he tended to stay away from this floor, only coming for certain Quests that he needed to take. He breathed and stood, and waited patiently for his fiancée to appear for this Quest.

She had contacted him earlier about some sort of initiation, but didn't say anything else to his knowledge. He was excited to get to see her again before the marriage, which was to come soon. A small blush formed at the thought of her coming down the isle. He shook his head as he sat and waited for her to appear either from the teleporter or the streets around him. He kept his eyes wide and watched for her Blonde hair to appear to contrast the black and gray town he was in now.

After sending a PM to her love interest, the blond looked at Kimba and said: "I think you should stay this one out. We're going to the ninth floor otherwise." said the blonde with a slight grin. Both her and her familiar despised that place despite bringing them such good rewards with every occasion they visited it. The lioness looked at Ariel and made, what the blonde perceived as her imitation or intent of a frown, before letting out a growl and retreating to her comfortable place in front of the lit fireplace. "Got it. I'll see you later then, clean around here if you get bored" said the blonde as she left the shop.

Skipping through the snow while singing a random tune, the blonde reached the teleport gate. "Floor Nine!" said the blonde in a rhythmic tone and was teleported the the specified floor main setlement. It didn't take long for the blonde to lay her eyes on her future husband. "There you are!" said the blonde as she got close to him and planted a light kiss on his cheek while sitting on his lap, her arms around his neck. "Ready?" she asked with a smile, half expecting a more than verbal reply from him.

Hikoru smiled as soon the small blonde appeared at the teleporter, and came over and gave him a peck on his cheek, and he smiled as he kissed her neck, then her cheek gently with a small smile. He had to stretch to get her cheek, but he was able to, but just barely. He smiled and gave her a hug, then stood up and picked her up, placing her onto his shoulders. He knew she was used to the cold, and this would be hell for her more than him, and he wanted to at least try to help her save her energy. He started to walk to where the Quest they planned to do was located and looked up at her from below

"So why did you wan't to do this Quest?" He asked, trying to figure out his fiancée's plan. He held her close in his arms, well, her legs at least, and did his best to make sure that she was stable, and wouldn't fall over. He kept a sharp eye out for the Bandit Camp, hoping to find some sort of sign of where it would be located, and where he and Ariel would start walking

As the boy's breath made Ariel twitch as she next enjoyed the feeling of his lips on her cheek. Her upper body started to slightly tremble as she giggled at the sight of him trying so hard to reach her cheek. That didn't last long as she next let out an extremely girlish surprised squeal as she found herself being picked up like a sack of potatoes and placed over Hikoru's shoulder. Her left hand instantly went to her backside, making sure her short skirt didn't start acting on its own, while her was tipped forward making her place her elbow on his back to retain balance. Then she replied with a small blush."What, can't a girl ask her future husband to go out on a quest?" a lovely smile being visible on her expression. Not that he had any way of noticing it at the time. "I have a small surprise for you. " she continued as with one hand she started twirling a small bundle of her golden hair. "That will have to wait though, for now... take us to the campsite."

Hikoru nodded as she asked if she could just ask her future husband for a quest, and he sighed. He didn't mean it like that, but he knew if he argued he would just dig himself into a deeper hole. But all those feeling changed as soon as she said she had a small surprise for him... but he knew she was very flirty, and he could take things either way. Either she had a legitimate surprise for him, or something was planned. He breathed as good as he could, trying to keep his heart rate steady as his mind racked different possibilities, some thing he wasn't proud of thinking. But he still did his best to remain focused on finding the bandit camp

"S-sure thing...." He stammered out, and he saw something in the distance. He went over near it, and saw that it was what he was looking for, then backed away so they didn't see him. He had to go around to not get caught, so he followed the path into the camp until he found where the entrance trail led, and he breathed and continued forward, Ariel on his shoulders and holding her tight, hoping she wouldn't fall off as he continued to try and figure out what Ariel had meant

The world sure looked different from a higher point of view, as some would debate that metaphorically Ariel would just enjoy the surroundings. Yes it was still a fiery hell of a place but at least she could have a 'bird's eye'-ish view of things. A place that she was familiar with came before them but not like the other two (or three) times the blonde has been here, they didn't stormed in and erased the bandits by sheer overwhelming force. Hikoru was trying to do it the stealthy way... possibly trying to kill the bandits one by one. "Seems we're here." said the blonde in a low tone as she put her hands on Hikoru's head while she supported herself, slightly leaning forwards as if trying to get a better look at their opponents. it was a small group of four bandits, each one armed with either a shield and sword or an ax. Rough exterior with hairy facial figures, these guys seemed to be poor imitation of the vikings the blonde had read legends about. "Well, how do you want to do this?" asked the blonde while looking down at Hikoru.Next, making good use of the <<Athletics>> mod, she took a deep breath and pushed all her weight in her hands, using the boy's head as a pivot while bringing herself to a perfect vertical position above him. Then she arched her arms a bit and gave a push, making a roll in mid air then landing in front of Hikoru on the tips of her feet her long golden hair fluttering in the air, with her arms spread perfectly sideways as one sees professional athletes going. She released her breath and lowered her arms to try and arrange the random strings that might have not fallen into place.She turned around and now was face to face with Hik: "Okay, I assign you as our team leader! From now on I'll listen to every combat/strategy related command you give to this team... Let's say..." she pondered about a team name for a second then with a satisfied nod she continued: "Team Hikari!*" As she finished saying the team name, a translation window appeared and showed Hikoru the following words: 'Hikari' - Jap. 'Light'

Hikoru gasped as the girl seemed to fly through the air, landing just mere inches in front of him, and he wasn't sure of what to say anymore. he did his best to breathe, but he could do no thing, for she had taken it away. She came and called him team leader, and he just blushed. and rubbed the back of his neck. He was used to being a follower, not a leader. And putting him on the spot like that only made it harder. He sighed and looked at Ariel, a small and shy smile forming

"W-well... Let's sneak up, and catch 'em by surprise, I know the both of us are strong enough to go all out on these guys and finish them off. Try not to use that much energy, never know if more can show up or not. Use only moves that would one-shot the bandits, or leave them with low HP at least." He said, visualizing what he hoped to be the outcome in his mind as he said so. It would be easy, two for him and two for her, and they would be done, and she would be able to tell him about this "Surprise" She had been talking about. He sighed and gave a nod "So just two Bandits for you, and two bandits for me. Should be an easy in-and-out fight." He said finally, agreeing with what he had said himself

It sounded like a good plan, distribute enemies evenly and deal with them swiftly. "Divide and conquer, fast, simple and clean." said the blonde as she nodded at his explication. "So no overkill or any fancy skills, got it!" she continued as she changed her gaze towards the four potential opponents. "Let's hope they'll prove as challenging as the last time." she said under her breath as she looked at Hikoru's expression. Something seemed to if not trouble him... at least keep him a bit distracted. She snapped her fingers in a attempt to get him to fully concentrate. "You with me?" she asked as she blinked twice and tilted her head to the left trying to figure out what it was. 

She soon gave up and returned her gaze at the mobs, letting the thought pass right now as they had better things to do. "So I guess all that's left is to decide which ones we take out." said the blonde looking at the possible combinations. The Bandits looked like someone's interpretation of the great viking clan, beards... pointy helmets, shields of different sizes and shapes as mixed with either one handed swords or axes one had a two handed sword. She smiled as she set her eyes on it: "The big guy is mine!" said the blonde while looking at the crimson haired mountain of a man with the aforementioned weapon.

Hikoru nodded and charged in close behind. He split up from her after awaking from his daze and moving towards the other two. He gave Ariel a nod as she said the big one was hers, and he charged straight for one of the bandits, hoping to finish it off before he had a chance to attack. He breathed and started to charge for him, making sure that he was seen. Soon all the Bandits saw the two of them, and a small smile was plastered on his face as he did so. He could feel his inner conscience talking to him, telling to slay them all, but he pushed the thoughts aside for now, solely focusing on the battle. He sighed and continued forward, keeping the same pace as Ariel did and making sure to stay close to her to watch her back for her

The two had began their advance, running side to side on the bandits. Before they parted ways, the blonde winked at him and said: "See you later!" then fixing her gaze on the big one, she activated her charge skill and in mere seconds she was in front of him. The giant looked at the blonde's athletic figure and let out a smirk as she was the one challenging him. Than he did something unexpected and despite his large build, he back stepped and made the blonde strike thin air. "Oh?" replied the blonde as she was a bit surprised by the mob's evasion skills. "Not bad!" she continued, skilfully dodging to the left as his partner wanted to stab her from behind.

Using his <Concentration> skill, he charged and stuck one of the bandits with a devastating blow. He smiled and felt triumphant for but a moment, when it's fellow bandit came up behind him and dealt a devastating blow to himself. he staggered for a moment, then fell to his knees and gasped for breath. His MIT had taken some of the damage, but the pain was still there. He breathed, then stood slowly and gasped, gripping his Dagger tightly, then giving Ariel a small smile

"I'm fine, keep going, let's finish these things off!" He said. He breathed and stood up as well as he could. He wouldn't die here. He had fought enemies twice as strong, and he had nothing to fear. He breathed and continued to be prepared to fight, ready for anything that was to happen

The blonde gasped as she saw Hikoru's Hp bar drop and turned around to face the person in question. She was almost set to activate her charge skill and slay the mob that dared to sneak behind her fiancé. But he said he was okay and slightly biting her lower lip she turned around and faced her own opponent. The big guy didn't hesitate to try and strike down at her but yet again, the blonde's instincts were way ahead of it. She sidestepped and made the two mobs that were attacking her from opposite position bump into each other. Next she used a high ranking, high speed sword art that chains together five consecutive thrusts that went straight in the big guy's back. "That's one down!" she affirmed in a high tone, to make sure that Hik got the message.

Hikoru grit his teeth and took another swipe at his enemy, he struck, and soon the enemy was no more, but as he leapt through the air, his brother in crime struck him in the side. He grit his teeth and moved out of the way, and landed across the way. He held his side for a moment, then stood. He smiled and turned to Ariel

"Same here, let's keep it up!" He said with a small smile He continued moving forward and went for his next target full force

Yet again the in the middle of evading a horizontal swing from the left, the blonde's eyes noticed that Hikoru's health dropped again. Her concern for her fiancé almost got her hit by a sudden change of axis in the mob's strike, from horizontal to straight up vertical. She back stepped so the blade was barely near her face but the golden hair that had its own inertia was slower in withdrawing as a simple strand of her long sun ray colored head treasure recieved a cut. In that instant the blonde's expression turned from casual-happy to one of anger as her brows furrowed, leaving a deep "V" shape on her forehead. "You bastard!" came as a warcry as Ariel charged towards the mob and activated a grandmaster rank sword art, putting that new ferocity mod to good use. She drew almost instantly and in the same time, three slashes on the mob's torso, ending his life two times over with the amount of damage she probably dealt. She usually reserved those attack for the actual front lines but she was too pissed off to care about moderation and restraint now.

Hikoru aimed to attack, and the bandit charged as well, but they both missed. He was just able to move out of the way, and he did the same. Their weapons clashing together as they passed, the metal-on-metal grinding and causing sparks to fly. He breathed and looked at his girl with a small grit of his teeth, then held his Dagger close with a small grin and a wink.

"It's your choice to help or not, but I think I may have this..." He said as he faced his enemy once more, ready to fight it again.

"What? aren't you going to tell me to sit back and watch my future husband prove himself?" she asked in a theatrical way, sheathing her rapier. This was his battle whatever he liked it or not. "A team leader shouldn't give vague orders like that!" she shouted from her side as she crossed her arms below her generous bosom. Afterall she brought him here with a purpose, a test if you would... that would lose its meaning if she'd step in in this situation. Afterall, his first mistake was to fail in noticing the new guild logo that was by her name when they meet today. She wanted to tell him about it and how she joined the Azure Knight.... former Knights of Christ guild. How, Shark the leader appointed her Field Commander and tasked her to recruiting new blood... all those things she wanted to share with him, thus avoiding to tell the exact reason why they were here. On the other side she was glad that Hikoru trusted her as much as to follow her in battle without asking too many question. A gentle smile lid her face as she felt her heart get warmer and not in the sense as the hotness of this floor's extremely annoying temperature but more like a ointment for her heart. She'd fallen for him just a bit more right now. "You can do it Hikoru!" she shouted, cheering for her groom to be.

Hikoru just laughed as his fiancee seemed to mock him in a theatrical way, and he shot her a wink as he went back to his enemy. She had her arms place in a very unique fashion, and he blushed as his eyes wandered, then shook his head and got focused back onto the battle. He needed to defeat this Bandit before he ran out of energy. He slashed and hit the enemy for a large chunk of damage, then dodged the enemies attack with ease. He smiled and stood up and nodded to his enemy

The blonde chuckled as a simple gesture like that could make her husband to be blush like that. 'So innocent' she thought as she continued to watch the match between him and the final bandit. Except for the slight misstart he was doing pretty good. 'team leader' was what she decided to have him as today. If things would go well, the meeting she had planned afterwards would go smoothly. She really wanted him in and could've tried to pull some strings but on the other hand, she thought about how Hikoru would feel... this was his chance to prove himself worthy of being a knight. Her very own knight in shinny armor so to speak... "A girl can dream can't she?" she muttered as she continued to watch as the two exchanged blows. Just a bit more and the bandit would be dead, the SP rewards claimed and then they could go for the final part of her plan.

He landed on the ground and staggered, unable to do anything, not even breathe for but a moment. But soon he was able to catch his breath and laid there for a moment, doing his best to get back to steady breathing and stood slowly. He grit his teeth and spit out a bit of saliva and grit his teeth

She continued to supervise the match.. feeling more like a fencing arbiter than a player fighting for her life. 'Did those guys get this bored as well?' she thought, remembering one of the countless matches she had IRL. She observed Hikoru's stance and was about to warn him but was too late as his opponent crashed against him and send her lover to the ground.... "That's strike two, at the third I'm stepping in!" said the blonde with a frown directed at the last bandit. She would love nothing more than skewer him on the spot but she had to get Hikoru into shape. Equipment wasn't the only thing that mattered here, if he wouldn't get into the right mentality he might some day lose his life to a mere boar for underestimating it. A common mistake that she could understand but not tolerate. "Hikoru, try instead of taking him head on, to evade him and strike from the side or behind!" she said in a coach like manner, the same way her father used to yell during sparring sessions.
