[SP-F1] Going solo

Feeling a little more certain in herself, Allania wanted to go out into the plains surrounding the Town of Beginning and test out her new skills. As she had recently leveled up, skipping level 2 and going straight to level 3.

Standing just outside the gate of the Town, Allania peered across the fields to see if she could find any weak and meek boars roaming around solo. After a few moments of staring intently at the fields, she spotted one boar that seemed to be fairly frail, walking alone. Before charging this Boar, Allania thought to herself "I should be somewhat cautious, this is my first solo combat afterall", with this thought in mind, Allania sat down and gazed, focusing on this sole Boar for a solid 10 minutes, watching how it moved, comparing it to her memory of those she fought early with Hydra and Eth. More sure of herself that she'd be able to take on this lone boar, she stood up, brushing off her new dresses and started to walk in its direction.

When within about 30m of the Boar it looked up, piercing Allania with it's beady black spots of eyes. 

Shocked slightly by it's intent gaze, Allania stopped in her tracks, then hopped back, dagger in hand, up in front of her for when the Boar charges her.

Preparing herself, the Boar charges straight at her. Still inexperienced Allania activates one of her sword arts, cutting infront of her with her dagger, slicing the Boar on it's head, cutting deep into it. It was then that Allania realised her mis-calculation. She had started a forward cutting Sword Art directly in the path of the Boar. Realising this way too late of course, the Boar charged straight into Allania, pushing her back before she was able to roll off to one side, raising her dagger once again, getting ready to launch herself back at the Boar.

Standing back from the Boar, Allania then rushing towards it, taking a great swing at it's head with her dagger. Cutting wide with her slash, due to the overexcitement of actually hitting a creature for the first time ever. Luckily for Allania, the gash that she had priorly left on the Boars face had reduced it's reactions, so before it could swing it's head round to gore Allania with one of it's tusks, Allania had hopped a few paces back, just out of it's range, so it's tusks gored at thin air.

Once again the Boar rushes at Allania, head down, it's tusks still gleaming with pixels where it had strike her before. Allania attempted to side step the Boar, trying to slash at it's side as it rushed past. However, still being so inexperienced in this virtual world, her attempts were to no avail. Striving to do both just resulted in both failing, resulting in Allania being struck once again by the Boar's tusks, luckily this time it was not as devastating.

Dazed by taking so much damage in her first battle alone, Allania swung around and slashed wildly as she jumped forward, activating her Sword Art as she did so. The Boar had not yet finished it's charge, still running past Allania, not even turning. So as it ran, Allania's dagger lashed out, slicing through the Boar, exploding it into pixels on the tip of her blade. She stood there, breathing heavily, watching as the particles danced in the air, eventually fading to nothing. Broken from her trance she looked down at the few red pixelated holes in her from where the Boar had struck. Thinking to herself that she had best get out of there, maybe a Boar was too much yet, after all it had taken more than half her health. And that was just one of the things!!.

Stopping to pick up her one mat from killing the beast she then ran up the hill towards the Town of Beginning and entered through one of its many gates.

Out of breath after running back up the hill to the inside of the Town, Allania slowed down to a walk. "I need to find somewhere to rest", she spoke to herself. Ecstatic that she had managed to survive her first solo fight, Allania started to skip towards the nearest Park. After a short while she arrived, a wide open park within the Town, with a few ponds here and there. Heading straight for a bench for which to sit on, Allania sat down to rest for a while. Opening up her inventory and taking out the material she had just acquired, holding it up infront of her, "it was such a small scrap", she thought, and I risked my life for it. It was worth it though, this was the first step to success in this world, so long as I don't die I can get to explore more and more.

Looking down at the slowly fading red marks on her abdomen, she knew she had to wait here a while longer before moving on, it was too risky to go back out there at the moment, she had a high chance of dying if she did. After a short while of sitting there, waiting and healing, her mind wandered. Looking down she thought to herself "Well, it seems like this is a nice place, maybe it'll have some plant of some sort that I could sneakily harvest a material from, hopefully no one will notice". While making allowance for her still injured self Allania set about looking for materials in the Park. After a few short moments of searching, not 10m from where she had sat on the bench she found a plant of worth, harvesting it quickly and adding the material to her pouch.

Thinking to check herself once more, Allania feels her battle wounds finally fade. "While I'm here I may as while give the place a last once over to be sure that I actually have everything" she said to no one in particular as she started to crawl over the floor, inspecting each and every plant with care. After her first success Allania spent a solid hour just searching, inspecting every plant in the Park, coming back and double checking some, just to be sure that. Getting up and letting out a sigh as she stretched her back, yawning widely. Gazing at the moon now just breaching the horizon, staring in awe at the beauty. She could not help herself, she just had to stop and marvel at the masterpiece that was this world that she now called home. "I guess I shall continue my plights in the morning" she breathed softly, not wanting to disturb her surroundings and the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Waking up in the morning, Allania set of once again. Dagger on her hip. Walking towards the gate of the town.

Just outside she stopped, found a nice comfortable place to sit and lowered herself to the ground, pulling her legs up to her chest as she watched the sun rise slowly over the horizon into the sky. Breathing quietly, in peace with this world, Allania began to look for another Boar, hopefully this time it would be less risky.

Sitting there, watching. Waiting and watching. Spotting once again a lone Boar on the horizon, no companions and seeming to be the runt of the litter. Allania pushed her hands against the floor, helping herself get to her feet. Walking in the general direction of the Boar, not fully aware of her surroundings, as she just continued to gaze into the sky, and the floor above. "I wonder what it's like up there," she thought, "I can't wait to get there, but it's way too dangerous now, I can barely fight a Boar". She continued on her walk, noting at the players to her right and left off in the distance, fighting, playing and partying. There was just so much to do. Stopping at a nearby flower on her way to the Boar, she bent over, picking at it and gathering a material. After all that searching she did to begin with, she now could just find materials littering the floor it seemed.

Coming up close to the Boar now, Allania saw that it was roughly the same size as the one yesterday. And just as intimidating. Taking a long slow breath, Allania drew her dagger from her hip, sliding it out of it's basic sheath. Time to get to work. Holding the dagger in one hand, raising it to about the height of her chest. She was ready. 

While she was doing this the Boar was not just stood there, unaware of it's surroundings, it had taken notice of Allania, turned in her direction and had begun pawing at the ground with its front hoof, lowering its head and getting ready to charge at her.

Rushing towards Allania, head down letting out screeches and squeals as it charged. Breathing calmly, Allania side stepped the charging beast, it rushing straight past her, giving her no time to strike at it's hide, so her dagger just cut through air. Turning to face in the direct the Boar had ran Allania prepared herself again, dagger at the ready. Ready to perform a sword art.

The Boar, over zealous in its charged, tried to stop and turn in one movement. Tripping and rolling over sideways a few times before standing up.

The Boar, now enraged from rolling, seeing only Allania as the cause, pounded at the ground, shooting forward at speed. Ready to gore deep into Allania's abdomen.

Ready for this Boar, maybe because she had fought one priorly, she once again side stepped the Boar, this time ready for the speed. Pivoting on her feet to face the Boar as it ran past her. Dagger streaking forward, slicing two clean cuts into the Boar's performing her most basic of Sword arts 'Side bite'. "fitting" Allania mused, as it cut into the Boar's side..

After her first success this battle, Allania was a little less sure footed when it come to the next attack. She had rushed forward after the charging Boar, hoping to strike it before it was able to turn. But it turned too quick. Goring her with it's tusks as her dagger went over it's head.

Now with both of them within close quarter, the Boar was at a disadvantage. But Allania was still inexperience. In the end it just resulted to Allania swinging to the side, trying to stab the boar as it hopped out of her way, but it too was unable to get in a stike. Both at a sort of impasse, they mutually backed off. The Boar readying to charge once again and Allania with her dagger at the ready, gripped in one hand. Ready to thrust.

Both Boar and Allania rushing towards one another. The Boar screeching and snorting, Allania letting out an animalistic wail as she dived forward. Allania hopping to the side, backing out of her attempt to slice it. This put off the Boar to no end, causing it to trip over itself and roll head over heels. It had not expected the girl o just back down, to jump out of the way. Shaking its head in anger, with rage boiling in its blood, it got back on to all fours, snorting and pounding at the ground.

"This time, this time for sure!" Allania shouted, enjoying herself immensely at her bout with the Boar. The Boar, even being just an animal, seemed to respond in kind, pounding the ground, snorting loudly in response. A plume of steam gushing out of its nostrils as it did so. Allania, rushing forward, dagger extended she sunk it deep into the Boar's body, hopping on its back and pushing it into the ground. Bursting into pixels under her, Allania fell to the ground as her ride disappeared. Looking about for any materials, Allania could find none. Slightly disappointed at finding no material, Allania was still ecstatic. Sitting down and letting out a yell of joy. The first Boar had not been like this, that one was just dull in comparison to this one.

Thinking to herself she won't get a battle like that again for a while. Allania decided to go in search of materials. "The day is still young, may as well try and make use of it, you can never have too many material to craft with" she thought out loud. Walking over to where the Boar was, Allania got on her hands and knees and began to scrupulously search for materials. After searching every spot, every place where a scrap could have fallen she found nothing. Looking up from where she knelt, she saw a brush off in the distance, "off to there next" she thought.

Running over to the brush in anticipation Allania tripped over a hidden branch, tumbling and twirling over and over as she fell, landing right in front of the brush she was headed for. Looking up at it she saw nothing of worth. Nothing. Feeling deflated, it was such a great fight, and then she just had to ruin it, falling as soon as she had finished. Standing up, angled over her knees she brushed the grass and twigs from her clothes. "Ugh, I hope no-one saw that".

Groaning after her tumble, Allania lurched forward towards the brush. "May as well check deeper into the brush" Stepping further in, following her own words, with mild discomfort from how she had to contort her body to avoid being pricked by the thorns of the brush. Ahead of her she spotted a few scraps of hide pierced onto the brambles. It must be from that Boar she fought, may as well thank it for its uses and try to make something of the Boar, it was only fair to do so in it's memory. It may have been a simple NPC enemy, but it felt real, alive even. She could not help but want to honour it in a piece of equipment that she'd carry with her.
