[PP-F1] <<Secret Medicine of The Forest>> (Allania) [Complete]

*Yawn* Hydra had been strolling around the outskirts of the first floor again, the sun slightly blinding him, the spearman had decided to take a lunch break next to a nearby pond. The brunette had been material hunting or trying to a large part of the day, aiming for the MOBs he called 'Devil Boars'. Snacking on an apple he watched a rogue leaf drift from one of the tree's nearby and gracefully land onto the surface of the water, creating thousands of ripples and giving his face hundred of forms as it broke apart in as a reflection. There was a village not far from his current position, a few miles North up from the pond. Hydra had heard it was a good place to start some higher end quests and so the spearman had ventured out to the area to see if there was anything for him. Killing devil boars was just a side problem on the way but at least there were materials in it for him. "Time to get going..." Hydra slowly stood up and continued his hike, two devil boars had decided to block his path. Sighing he continued to approach them.

Allania had wandered out of the Town of the Beginning, straying further from the safety of the starting city, wanting dearly to try her hand at her new equipment, a new bodice made of Boarhide and a simple dagger. Having made the Boarhide Bodice herself, Allania was really pleased with its outcome, thinking she'd treasure it for the duration that she lived in this world, until either death took her, by any means, or by the completion of the game. As she approached a pond, Allania noticed a couple of Boars, blocking the path of a spearman. From this distance she could not tell who this spearman was, but the Boars looked tough. And she like that.

Sliding her dagger from her sheath, Allania dashed towards the pair of Boars. Deciding as she ran to try out her AoE sword art, started the system movements required to perform Round Accel. Allania brought her dagger round in an arc, the Boars turned, taking their attention away from the unknown Spearman and onto her. Seeing the rage in their bloodshot eyes, Allania knew these were the toughest mobs she had fought yet, but that would not put her off. Before she could even land the strike she was in mid-swing of, the Boars rushed her, side by side, both sets of tusks piercing her and pushing her back. Her dagger swing faltered, losing its precision as she was forced back, missing the thick hides of the Boars as it swung over their backs.

Looking down at her health gauge Allania smiled, the new gear was working, she had taken only a fraction of the damage she was suppposed to.

"Uhh... what?" Allania, a player Hydra had come to know a little had charged out of no where attacking the boars. He could see her plan was to catch them off guard but she had just missed the hit by a scrape. This was only worsened by the fact she was still a lower level, and the boars had charged her. Hydra's heart jumped in fear she would be seriously injured, only to then realize her new equipment had nullified most the damage "Someone's got some new gear" he laughed to himself. Equipping his spear he charged into join the fight. Raising his spear with his left hand he tested his new move <<Soul Pierce>> striking the boar closest to him directly in its heart, this time he had the advantage.

The spearman, who Allania now recognised as Hydra jumped forward, thrusting his spear towards one of the Boar, piercing it deep into the chest with his spear. With a new opponent in the battle, both boars turned on the spot, flinging the still impaled girl on their tusks away from them. Allania, dagger flailing at the boar was flung away from the battle, she began the roll slightly, managing to stop herself and recover in time to see the Boars charge at Hydra. Worried that Hydra was going to be seriously hurt, even though he was a higher level, Allania let out a quiet scream of desperation. But much to her joy, instead of being impaled at all by either Boar, Hydra just deftly side stepped them, letting them charge past, goring their tusks into nothing but the empty air.

"Hmm" Since obtaining his new sword art Hydra felt far more comfortable in battle with these creatures. Previously he had struggled to kill one but his confidence had drastically improved since then. The boars meager attempt to gore him provided him with a second opportunity to strike at the one he previously wounded. One thrust followed after another and then another after that one. He targeted the brain, the spine and it's kidney. Or the VR versions. The boar skidded across the floor and burst into shards within moments.

Watching as Hydra landed three successive strikes on the injured Boar, exploding it into pixels. He had killed it with no issue, all alone and without taking a single point of damage. In awe of the spearmans evident skill, Allania rushed towards the Boar, dagger at the ready, lunging forwards and activating side bite. With two quick jabs to the lone Boar remaining who was facing towards Hydra. Allania was pleased with herself, even if she had only done a little damage, at least she had managed to strike it. Unlike last time she was fighting alongside Hydra.

Distracted as the girl jabbed at it twice, the Boar faltered in it's swing, allowing Hydra time to simply step back out of the way, seemingly with great ease. Frustrated at missing this slippery foe, the Boar began to pound at the ground with its hooved paw, readying to attack again.

As Hydra continuously dodged the boars attacked he noticed Allania had actually managed to land a hit on it. "Well done, Im going to save up on energy, try and keep it distracted. See if you can get it to cripple itself on your armor". The spearman paced back a few steps and entered into a defensive stance. The boar was still focused on him, but hopefully if Allania could get another hit in or two it's attention would be diverted and it would be taking damage from her thorns. He rested his right foot against the small hill he was stood upon, prepared to roll down the hill if the boar came charging towards him.

Watching Hydra retreat only seemed to make the Boar more mad. More intent in gouging him with its tusk. Head still down, the Boar rushed Hydra. Not having a chance to dodge this one, Hydra took it full in the face.

"Thank you and will do", Allania shouted, stepping forward, ready to swing at the Boar once again. Just as she was stabbing forward the Boar launched off. Allania, in no way prepared for how fast the Boar dashed, over extended herself in the cut, falling face first onto the floor, face grinding against the dirt as she slid to a halt. "Damn it!!" Allania shouted in frustration as she came to a stop behind the Boar.

."Oof.." Hydra staggered back a little having failed to dodge the boars tusks this time, otherwise his armor seemed to absorb most the damage. He watched Allania miss and fall over and couldn't help but laugh "hah try again" He said with a smile on his face. The player was in no rush to get to the village and collecting materials was always nice, making sure other players could train came before all else. It threw him back to the days he had trained with Nix, the only difference was the spearman was a lot more focused on damage than his defensive friend. He watched closely as the boar circled preparing for another dodge.

Getting up again, blushing from her failure, Allania got herself ready. Stepping forward Allania did a basic jab at the Boar, just catching it. Doing almost no damage but getting the Boars attention. As the Boar got stabbed it swooped its head around, swinging its giant maw around to swipe at Allania. Allania jumped back, narrowly dodging the spear-like tusks of the Boar. Proud in herself that she had managed to land another hit, Allania stepped back, readying herself for the blows that were to come.

Hydra nodded, the boar was focused on her now. All that was needed was for her to hit the boar, or the boar to hit her. The spearman jumped up onto a nearby rock so that the boar would go for the easier target. "Keep calm" He let out a large yawn and patted his mouth before returning to his battle mentor state. "Breath slowly, if the boar hits you it'll be fine but if possible try to evade it anyway. Well... at least that's my opinion, then again I do prefer mobility of taking hits" he laughed. Hydra sat crossed legged his spear still in hand waiting to see if Allania could seal its fate.

Looking towards Hydra, taking note of his advice, Allania focuses more on dodging the Boar. As she does so, Allania attempts to take a small jab at the Boar, missing with her blade, though not being full committed to the strike. As she was focusing mainly on dodging the Boar's tusks, all her focus on them, Allania was able to avoid the tusks of the Boar, much to the creatures annoyance. Looking towards Hydra, "Like that?" Allania asked.

Hydra stuck his thumb up and smiled. He began swinging his legs out from the ledge he was sat on and whistling as the fight unfolded before him. "Hmm I wonder what I should eat for tea tonight..." His mind began to wander off into one of his daydreams. A few hundred yards away an NPC farmer had heard the commotion and had begun to approach the players. The spearman's eyes flickered open. "Keep that boar distracted, I'll see what this guy wants". Standing up he waved the NPC over in his direction ensuring the farmer wouldn't disrupt the ongoing conflict between woman and beast.

Allania watched as Hydra waved at someone off in the distance, seemingly ignoring the battle at hand. As her mind strayed from the battle for the moment, the Boar took it as an opportunity to strike for her, piercing her with its tusks. Luckily for her, her armour absorbed almost all of the impact, as she got pushed back the thorns on her armour dug into the Boar, almost attaching her to it. In this position Allania had a great vantage point, bringing her dagger down upon the Boar, Allania dug it into the Boars back, though not being able to force it deep, though not doing all that much damage to the creature.

The farmer seemed to grumble something under his breath that Hydra had difficulty understanding, the sound of Allania and the boar fighting was rather distracting. "Please wait a moment". Picking up his spear and standing up from the rock he was stood on, the player jumped towards the two combatants and stuck his spear deep in the boars heart "sorry to end the battle early... someone is asking for us both it seems". As the player withdrew his spear the boar erupted into shards of crystal like the one before it. "Let's see what this guy wants and we will look for some more materials later".

Watching as the spearman stepped forward and stabbed the Boar in one quick motion, making it look as easy as can be. When she herself had been doing minuscule amounts of damage to the creature, Allania thought of that with mild annoyance, "I really need to train up some more" she though. "Wow," Allania said, looking in awe as the pixels hung briefly in the air around Hydra, "You're good. And yeah, we should probably see what this person wants. As you said, we can look for mats later". With that, Allania sheathed her dagger, and walked over to Hydra, following behind him as he walked over towards the NPC.

"Blu blah bah" *cough*... "Uh" Hydra gave Allania a worried glance, he had no idea what this farmer was saying to him. "Ahem, sorry had something in my throat. I got a request I'd like to make?"... There was a brief pause as the spearman digested what the NPC was trying to tell him before finally responding "Go ahead". After a ten minute conversation or so the NPC had basically given them a quest to retrieve some rare material to in order to save the chief back in the village. It was a perfect opportunity for Hydra to rank up so of course he agreed without hesitation. "I accept...are you interested in joining me?" He said turning to Allania. Entering another one of his daydreams the spearman had already begun walking towards the forest by this point. He had heard something or other about monsters from the farmer but was sure they wouldn't prove too troublesome.

Responding to Hydra's question, Allania called out "oh, yes please". Quickly hurrying after Hydra as he wandered off. It seemed like he was always just going off into his own little world, she had not really seen it before in a person, most people seemed to be more grounded in this world. As she walked beside him, Allania tapped him on the shoulder, "Are you not going to pay attention to what he says, it may be important?", becoming slightly worried that she wasn't quite prepared for this adventure.

"Nah, I think I got the idea" Hydra said as he yawned, waving his ally to come forward. As the pair entered the forest something was definitely off "So we're looking for this medicine right?" As the spearman spoke he felt a strange sensation on his foot "Huh..." Looking down a green vine had wrapped around his left leg. Before he could react he had suddenly face planted the dirt and was being dragged deeper into the vegetation. Clawing at the ground the strange vine suddenly snapped as it passed over a rock, Hydra rolled for a few moments before crashing into a tree. Glaring at whatever it was that had snagged him, it was gone now.

"Yep, some sort of medicine for their village" Allania said. Looking up Allania stood there and watched Hydra fall over, face plating into the dirt. At first Allania thought he had just tripped, it was when he began to be dragged away that she got a lot more concerned. Running after him, Allania noted some sort of green rope-like thing wrapped around one of his ankles, seeing it snap as it was pulled over a rock and Hydra instantly stopped moving. Whatever it was it had been dragging Hydra away. Crouching down beside him, Allania asked "Are you okay?" while darting her head from side to side, trying to see what had attacked him, taking out her dagger just to be sure.
