Hydra rolled over onto his back. "That must of been a nerpent that old guy was talking about." The player spoke with a concerned look on his face. A ring of pixels regenerated around his leg from the spot he had been grabbed. "We need to kill enough minions to bring out the main guardian of this forest." Staggering to his feet and resting against a tree branch he equipped his spear. Everything grew silent for a moment, the tree's whistled as a strong force of wind voyaged through the forest. "It's too quiet..." He whispered to Allania. At that point four hideous plant like creatures emerged from the forest. Only 4 matched the description of the weaker looking Nerpent's the old NPC had described, 2 others were much bulkier and had a horrific brown colored skin. "Looks like we have a bit of a fight on our hands". (restore all energy)

Allania, seeing the large group of monsters all appear launched herself forward, trying to take out as many as she could before they were able to attack. Her dagger flying ahead of her, beginning to trace the outline of a circle, in her only AoE sword art. As she was close to hitting the first of the group, she caught her foot on one of their roots/vines that lay on the ground, causing her to stumble forward. Though she missed with her dagger, Allania was able to quickly recover her footing, luckily not falling flat on her face.

Hydra watched as Allania stumbled about, she managed to stay up which impressed the spearman. He would be lying face down in the dirt by now if he wasn't already on the floor. The vine like creatures seemed to completely ignore the dagger user however and aimed straight for him. "I suppose I am the easier target", he sighed under his breath. At that point a beam of light broke through the tree cover and hit Hydra's pendant, it shined brightly and Hydra quickly sprung backwards and took cover behind a tree before the plants could realize what happened there whips slashing at thin air.

Recovering from her short stumble, Allania watched as the Spearman, who was on the ground leap to his feet and take cover behind a tree. Dodging the vines of all the monsters at once. Seeing how graceful yet clumsy he seemed to be, Allania couldn't help but smile to herself, he was a strange one this spearman, but he was good company. Drawing back her dagger once again, Allania ran so that she was surrounded by the 4 basic looking creatures, swinging her dagger round in a circle she quickly dispatched of them, pixels hanging in the air from where they had been defeated.

"Nice one" Hydra watched from behind his cover as Allania struck down the lesser creatures, the monsters seemed focused on her now. Probably because of the fact he had taken cover. Whilst she wasn't as mobile in combat as him that didn't matter, the larger creatures bought their wrath down on her only to be greeted with an array of thorns. The spearman grinned, something was approaching from behind her though, yet another different nerpent "judging by it's looks that has to be the one with the medicine". Darting past the triad of combatants Hydra activated his favorite sword art <<Soul Pierce>> and struck the creature the vine monster through it's heart obliterating it into shards instantly.

Watching as the new creature appeared from the shadows, and in a fraction of a second be obliterated by the spearman. Not a moment of hesitation. It had stood no chance against the spearman. stepping forward, brushing the rest of the pixels in the air around her away. Walking towards one of the two enemies left, Allania tried to perform one of her sword arts again. Her dagger moving ahead of her, jabbing out thrice towards one of the creatures, but coming against no resistance. A good indicator that she had missed, Allania saw that she had not landed a single hit.

After seeing the queen mowed down in a single hit the two stronger nerpents changed there attention to Hydra in a rage. The spearman glanced over his shoulder before being slapped in the face twice and thrown against the side of a tree. He certainly hadn't been expecting to be attacked so suddenly. "Ow" he sat up and rubbed his cheek, before glaring at the two creatures in his own rage. His moment had been stolen from him and he was not happy about it.

Seeing the spearman being attacked now instead of her, Allania rushed for one of the warriors. Activating one of her basics sword arts, she quickly slashed twice, cutting the creature deep. Backing away a bit once the cut had been performed. That should do it, she thought, they should just go after me now, so he had a chance to recover.

Hydra watched as Allania came to assist unfortunately the blow had really taken the wind out of him. Stumbling up once again he could feel his energy levels beginning to waver. He gritted his teeth together and watched as the two remaining creatures turned once again to attack his friend. For a few brief moments he closed his eyes in attempt to regain enough that he would need for a bigger hit. The mobs missed as the young girl darted about. Hydra couldn't help but grin at how fast she was leveling up.

Breathing quite heavily now, Allania found herself to be effectively out of energy. Unable to really attack, Allania focused more on defence. She hoped that would be able to last long enough for the spearman to regain his energy and strike them down with a powerful blow. Concentrating on this sole idea is what stopped her from just sitting down to catch her breath. She should easily be able to last the battle, she could just do nothing of effect yet.

Watching his ally retreat to regather some energy Hydra struck out with his one handed spear in an attempt to catch the creatures off guard. Unfortunately he was too late and his spear narrowly missed the creatures. They wrapped there vine like arms around her head where they would not be spiked by thorns before picking her up and launching her at him. The spearman easily dodged and her armor asbsorbed most the damage yet he was beggining to run low on energy.

Being picked up by the creatures was not fun, she definitely knew that. Getting thrown in the direction that she knew Hydra was in, Allania hoped that he would get out of the way. When she had hit nothing but the ground she was now tumbling over like a rag doll, she was relieved. It meant Hydra had gotten out of the way. Rolling and twisting. Allania finally came to a stop, quickly picking herself up and extending her dagger once again, hoping that it would deter the creatures. Allania looked at her energy gauge, still not ready, it seemed she'd have to tank a few more hits before she could dish another blow of any note. With that in consideration, Allania lurched forward, putting herself once again between the creatures and Hydra.

By this point Hydra was beggining to get angry. He lashed out in a flurry at the closest plant to him who easily evaded his jabs. taking advantage of the spearman's rage it darted past him and once again went for Allania who had been inbetween the two for a few moments. Picking her up and dragging her across the floor the other one also began slashing out. The plants seemed to have idenitified the weak spots in her armor because her thorns were failing to activate.

 Being frustrated now that she had been hit, and her armour not once doing any damage to them. Her thorns seemed to be useless. Taking her dagger she tried to take her anger on one of the creatures attacking her, aiming for the one she had previously hit. Activating her sword art, Allania stabbed in quick succession, exploding the creature into pixels that hung in the air around her. She had manged to kill one of them. There was just the one left now and she was once again out of energy. With nothing left she got herself infront of Hydra, trying to protect him once again.

Hydra watched as one of the creatures shattered, by this point Allania was fighting with better skill than he was and a cooler head. He snapped out of his rage before running past planting three thrusts into the other plant like creature and then retreating back behind the dagger user. The creatures arm followed him before it slapped Allania directly in her face. Despite being a plant it clearly had some intelligence. "You okay, it's almost over now."

Sighing, this had been a long drawn out fight, probably her longest one yet. Her thorns just seemed to be doing nothing to damage these creatures, not a single scratch on them. Regardless she had to regain energy, she could not kill these things without energy, so once again she stood there attempting to be a bulwark for Hydra while he too regained energy. Afterall he was the heavy hitter of the two, even though she was the dagger wielder here. It amused her slightly, but she could not let herself be distracted. Picture a wall, now be that wall, she thought, never having imagined that she'd ever be a tank in this world.

"Hmmm" Hydra pondered on how to kill this thing. "Don't rush... watch it's movements" he whispered to himself. The spearman breathed deeply before coming to a solution. "Sorry!" He ran behind Allania and pushed her forcefully as the creature bought down it's whip. It's fine made contact but his plan had worked, the vine made contact with her armour and was instantly skewered by spikes. Taking advantage of that moment he rushed forward and with two spear plants to the creatures torso it crumbled into the digital shards it was made from.

Being pushed from behind, Allania certainly hadn't expected it. Once the creature exploded into pixels, Allania looked at the spearman with an exasperated look. "Really?" she asked incredulously, "It would have been nice to have some sort of warning.". Shaking her head Allania went and picked up the medicine that they had been asked to get from the special variant. "let's hurry before the people who need this deteriorate" she said. Still unbelieving at what the spearman had done she started to walk off in the direction of the village. It had surprised her, but it had worked and she was still alive, so she quickly forgave him.

"Haha sorry about that, I had to think on the spot." The spearman scratched the back of his head and gave her an innocent smile. The pair gathered the quest item <<Nerpent's Ovule>> dropped earlier from the nerpent variant and headed back towards the village. The sun had begun to set painting the grassland a deep orange color as they left the dreary forest. Hydra's pendant was shining more brightly than it ever had before.

After an hour of walking in silence, not an awkward silence but a comfortable one the pair finally reached the village. The farmer NPC from before approached them "Ah I see you hav' it, come this way." He quickly ushured the pair into a nearby tent where a group of villagers were waiting. One woman approached the pair "Thank you both very much for saving the village chief, please accept these gifts." They were handed an <<Anneal Blade>> an interesting looking blade which the spearman had no use for, he quickly stored his own in his inventory as a small trophy. He showed his gratitude none the less. "Alright I'll be seeing you later Allania, stay safe. We should adventure again sometime." With that Hydra was on his way back to the Town of Begginings.
