Four small slimes, considerably lesser in size and strength to the slimes he'd been fighting on the floor thus far, stood in his way and impeded his path forward. Takao frowned and narrowed his eyes, selecting one of his weakest sword arts to deal with them. He decimated the four in a pair of swift motions, obliterating their small health gauges after cleaving straight through whatever mitigation they might've had. In the following seconds that past, Takao was already on his way.

"Alright, let's wrap this up." Takao grumbled to himself as another collective of lesser jade-hued slimes dropped from the ceilings and shlopped down onto the ground. Whatever opportunity they had to attack him first had been foregone in a fit of attempted surprise, allowing him to promptly slay them with the same low level sword art that obliterated the four before them. Pixels were spewed into the air, and Takao was already off by the time they began to fade.

With one last pair of hefty cleaves via the straight sword he held tightly in his gloved right hand, Takao vanquished the remaining four monsters that blocked his path. The only thing that laid before him was the boss room itself, just laying in wait, all ready to be conquered. The brunet swung his blade up and sheathed it away on his back, allowing him a moment to collect his thoughts before progressing into the unknown. There were fruits to be grasped, and efforts and sacrifices to be awarded.

With his sword stowed away for the moment, Takao freed up the ability to delve into his inventory. He navigated through the menu that he'd called forth just seconds prior and found the item he'd been looking for: a simple energy drink. Takao spawned it directly into his hand and partook in the energy replenishing goodness he'd crafted what seemed like years and years ago. It restored his energy to acceptable levels, which meant it was time for the boss to be slain.

"Hah, I knew it'd just be a big one of you guys." Takao said as he pushed open the door to the sub-dungeon boss. It was considerably less strong than floor bosses, yet considerably more in the opposite direction when compared to regular monsters on the floor itself. Takao wasted no time in engaging, activating his charge skill and a powerful eleven hit sword art in the same go. His blade cleaved into the monster's gelatinous form eleven times, chipping away at its health in swift, smooth strokes.

"Aaaand time!" Takao shouted out as the last of his second eleven hit combo, twenty two in total, connected with the King Slime. Its health gauge had effortlessly been depleted in only two sword arts, leaving a mass of colourful confetti-like pixels to fill the expansive cave the slime had once resided in. A small reward window appeared before him, detailing the spoils of battle and the rewards for clearing the dungeon. Some col, some materials, but the experience was what he was after. "Bingo."
