[SP-F1] Going battling

Walking out into the field, Allania knew that she wanted to fight some Boars, after all she did have all this new gear and some new Sword Arts. Marching out of the town of beginnings Allania began to walk down the hill, following the road for a short while and then wandering off the path in search of a monster to fight. Spotting a Boar that looked like she could get some decent loot from Allania took out her dagger getting ready to fight, hoping that she would not die this day. See just had to trust her armour, she did craft it afterall, so if she died it was all on her.

Walking towards this Boar Allania decided to try out one of her new Sword Arts. As she stepped forward to perform this Art, Allania faltered, surprised by the three Boar that came charging simultaneously out of the nearby brush. Due to her shock, Allania just stood there, being charged by all the Boars at once, piercing her with their tusks, pushing her back. Due to her inability to react, Allania missed with her sword art, and even her thorns were unable to damage the Boars.

Having taken that blow, Allania rolled off the tusks of the Boars, readying herself. This was the first time she had actually fought multiple creatures by herself, but she trusted in her ability to craft. Readying her one and only AoE attack, round accel, Allania jumped forward, swinging her dagger in a circular motion, cutting through the Boars. As she finished her spin she got plowed into by the Boar, she knew it was coming though. Knowing it was coming, Allania was ready, absorbing almost all of the damage, the Boars simply exploded as they hit her, killing themselves on the thorns of her armour.

Elated that she had managed to survive her first battle, Allania went to go sit down by the brush that the Boars had burst from. Making sure there were no Boars nearby to begin with, Allania settled down by one of the trees, lowering herself to the floor. She had sustained a little bit of damage, but it was more her just running out of energy that she needed to rest for. Sitting there Allania would just wait until she had recovered.

Sat there contemplating, Allania was trying to decide what she would do next. Mulling her options over for a while, Allania decided she'd try and fight yet another group of Boars, but this time she'd be prepared, so they wouldn't get a drop on her. Thinking about how to do so, Allania concluded that a group of 4 Boars would be best, after all that's all she could hit with a single swing of her dagger, and probably a group out in the open, so none more than she chose could enter the fray before its conclusion.

Having settled on her plan, satisfied with it, Allania leaned back on the tree, looking up through the leaves at the sky piercing the thick cover of the tree.

Having now fully rested, watching as her health had once again increased back to full, Allania stood up and walked off from the shade from the bright sun. Covering her face from the Sun s she walked out, waiting for her eyes to re-adjust, so that she could search out her next challenge. Spotting a small family of Boars off in the distance, Allania gauged them to be roughly the same strength as those she had just fought. Set on having these as her next opponents, Allania unsheathed her dagger and waltzed over towards them.

Approaching the Boars, walking slowly at first, Allania began to pick up in momentum, eventually sprinting towards the group of 4 Boars determined to hit them. This time knowing that there was more than one, Allania went straight into her AoE Sword Art, beginning the motions the system required to activate it, carrying her through the motions, arcing around and slicing at all four of the Boars at once, nimbly side stepping their jerking head, deftly dodging their dangerous dagger-like tusks. Once she had struck all four, Allania backed away slightly, giving her the distance so she could prepare her next move.

Deciding that she would attempt to recover some energy, Allania backed away, hopping few paces back. Even though she attempted to put some distance between her and the Boars she seemed unable to, being pursued relentlessly by the Boars. It ended up with Allania being surrounded on each side a Boar, with nowhere to run Allania threw her arms open, accepting the inevitable charge of the Boars. All four rushing towards her in unison, "it was quite beautiful" thought, the thought being shattered as she was pummeled on all sides by the Boars, though due to what she wore, Allania's armour ripped into the Boars, returning their damage to them four-fold.

As Allania just stood there, thinking that the thorns of her armour would finally drop the Boars health to zero, ripping them to shreds. Surprised when this did not happen, Allania got shunted about and pushed more and more. This armour is worth its weight in gold, without it I would have died before I could have even struck in that first fight. Grunting by being pushed, Allania was biding her time more and more, waiting for her energy count to continue to tick up, waiting until she had the energy to slice deep into the hides of the Boars, just like she had previously done.

As their target had not moved, all the Boars just continued to push, attempting to crush the girl situated between their tusks, throwing dirt into the air behind their hooves as they dug deep into the ground, pushing harder and harder.

Watching her energy count tick up to 4, Allania drew back and prepared to spin once again in her round accel. As she prepared to spin, the turning of her body caused the Boars to dislodge, all four going flying past her, meeting at her sides then continuing to launch forward, rolling in unison. It was as if they were a synchronised swimming team on land. So as Allania swung round her dagger, trying to slice at the receding Boars, Allania could not cut a single one of them. Her air feeling no resistance as she cut, Allania knew she had missed, once again wasting her energy.

Frustrated at missing once again, Allania chased after one of the Boars, performing one of her untried Sword arts, letting her dagger fly forward, performing 3 quick successive jabs, stabbing deep. Feeling almost no resistance, Allania thought she had missed once again, but was proven wrong as the Boar exploded into pixels around her, it landing a final blow on her before dying. In response to this, seeing one of their brood die, the other Boars charged Allania, exploding as they hit her armour.

Surrounded by pixels dancing in the air, Allania was breathing heavily, she would have been able to withstand another few hits, but that could have been the end of her, especially if they landed more hits that ignored her thorns.

Sighing, "it looks like I'll need to take a rest, once again" . Plopping herself onto the ground, crossing her legs and just sitting there, waiting. "It will take a while before I'm good to go once again, but I don't need to be fully healed, just have at least enough energy to AoE the next group of pigs". Allania leant forward, leaning closer to the ground, watching the grass beneath her, seeing it blow in the wind, dancing in the breeze. Allania blew at it, altering the way it moved.

"Not long now" Allania thought, "not long until I'll once again be able to go out for a battle". Leaning back, lying down on the ground, Allania just looked up at the sky, watching the clouds race across vast expanse above her. "How could this place be a prison? It's huge, and it is a simpler life, more fair and wonderful". She once again found herself looking longingly at the floor above her, with the gear she had now she could probably survive up there, but she didn't want to go alone, she wanted to have a friend to travel with.

Sigh. It was time to get back to work. Her shop couldn't sustain itself on the mats she had at the moment, she needed to gather many more. Many many more in fact. Pushing herself off the ground, Allania got up, letting out a small yawn. It may not be late, but she was tired, regardless she would continue. She had to, she could not be the best tailor in the land if she didn't.

Now that she had healed, and was standing up, Allania walked off towards the horizon, keeping an eye out for any Boars nearby. Spotting another group of four not far off, Allania unsheathed her dagger once again and prepared herself for the fight to come. Walking up to the group, she saw that these were slightly stronger, probably being able to deal more damage. Allania looked down slightly worried, would her armour hold up? She sure hoped so.

Stepping forward, Allania began her sword art. As the system took over, Allania's body began to move on her own, as she moved she felt her foot catch on something, flying forward, flat on her face into the floor. Embarrassed to no end, Allania quickly bounced back up to her feet, ready to fight once again.

The Boar's turned around, seeing this girl who had rushed straight for them fall flat on her face, they moved to attack her, but she seemed to just bounce back up onto her feet. This was one strange person.

Annoyed at failing so badly, Allania launched herself forward with much more ferocity than before, spinning in a savage circle, slicing all 4 Boars deep. Finishing her circle, Allania stood up, with a grin on her face, that cut was fun. She then got rammed by all the Boars, all of whom had taken the opportunity to try and crush her with the force of their heads.

Sighing, out of energy once again. Now that she was out, Allania backed away, side stepping the rushing Boars. She needed to regen, it would take her a short while before she could do another AoE, but until then, she was just going to stand back and avoid being hit. Keeping her dagger out infront of her, prepared for if an when the boars attacked, maybe she could use it, at least to deflect their tusks, maybe not the hunk of meat that was the Boar, but that was a given.

It seemed to be working, Allania was dodging the blows of the Boar, using her dagger just the once to deflect the tusk just enough to avoid their blow. They were coming quite close really, almost hitting her, but she persisted. Allania continued to attempt to avoid the tusks, she just wanted her energy to regen, once she had enough she could cut the Boar's apart. Realising how vicious she sounded, Allania was somewhat taken aback, this world seems to have changed her slightly.

This was really keeping her on her toes. In all the previous battles she had been hit many a time over by now. It was ever so slight but she felt like she was improving. It was going to be a long road ahead until she could finally get to the top floors, fighting alongside the very best in this world. Her mind wandering seemed to have no effect on her ability to dodge at the moment, she just seemed to be moving on auto-pilot, her thoughts elsewhere. Looking at her energy counter she knew that in just a moment it would be regenerated, and she would once again be able to attack.
