Giving Hydra the time to move further and further away. With Allania between the Scorpions and Hydra they instead turned on her, their barbs arcing outwards, piercing into her, but doing little to no damage. Her armour having once again saved her life. She looked back to see Hydra stumble away. He watched as Allania ran in and took the hits, unfortunately her thorns did not activate. "Just hang out a little longer." The spearman needed enough energy to take at least one of the scorpions out. The brunette continued to retreat as he watched his friend struggle. He would not let her die for his sake, judging by her looks she seemed like she would be able to take a few more hits. He continues retreating. I hope he'll be okay, she thought, he wasn't injured but he had no energy to attack with. Turning back around, the scorpions struck her once again, though, as always, her trusty armour absorbed all but a fraction of the blow. And annoying the thorns did not activate. Sighing, Allania leapt forward, dagger spinning around her in a circle, cutting into all the mobs. They'll definitely focus on me now, she thought. Allania jsut needed to last a little longer and his energy would be fully replinshed. "Sorry, i'll ty to be as quick as possible." He called down. Before crossing his legs and entering a meditation. The brunette began taking deep breaths and closed his eyes ensuring his mind was clear. There was a lot of pressure at the rate the MOBs were going. Noting that he had, Allania turned back to the scorpions. It seemed like she'd have to fight them alone. Rushing towards them, Allania sent her dagger flying in an arc, attempting to cut at all of the Scorpions at once. Though to her annoyance she sliced through nothing but that sand that hung in the air. The scorpions struck out while she was spinning, catching her once again with their barbs, but this time the thorns acitvated, leaving the barbs covered in red pixelated gashes to show damage. The mobs seemed to be in pretty bad shape and taking a round of thorns. The spearman smiled and continued to regather his energy he wasn't even sure if Allania would need help. Looking up to the sky the player thought to himself about becoming a healer. He had heard rumors that they were lacking with them on the frontlines and there were only a few that could support. Realising how much damage hitting her seemed to do to the creatures, Allania decided that trying to evade them was not the smartest thing to do. The battle would be over much quicker if she just stood there, took the hits and continued. So Allania stopped hoping about and went on the offensive, disregarding her defences. As she had done just that, disregard her defences, Allania got struck once again taking minimal damage but returning it many times over to the creatures. Missing the creatures with her dagger, Allania was mildly annoyed, but the damage she could have dealt with it was nothing compared to the thorns of her armour. The spearman brushed himself off before looking around for anything interesting. His eye caught a shiny bit of metal reflecting in the sun. He went up and grabbed it "Hmm looks like I could use you in the shop." He mumbled pocketing the item. Turning back to the battle, Allania's thorns finally seemed to be doing their job properly. He let out a yawn and slumped back down, certain she wouldn't need his help. Just in case he kept his left hand over his spear however. Walking between them, Allania begun to spin in a circle,trying once again to successfully perform the Round accel sword art, yet she missed. Just like last time. Luckily for her though, as the creatures struck her with their pincers and barbs, her thorns once again activated, causing the scorpions to explode into pixels one by one as they struck her. When they had all destroyed themselves on her armour Allania picked up the mats and col they dropped and then headed over the Hydra. Turning his pocket inside out he showed the shiny bit of metal he found to Allania. "I found this material whilst watching your battle, that would give us a total of 13." He tossed the material he found to Allania and scratched the back of his head. "So do you want to keep looking? Or shall we head back?." A gust of wind blew between the players, it carried sand which got in the spearman's eyes but otherwise cooled him down a bit. Glancing around Hydra attempted to look for any more pieces of metal but the sandstorms had picked up again and everything was covered. After all you weren't even hit once. Unlike someone else" she said, gesturing to all the red pixelated gashes and punctures on her body. "But I'm glad you're okay, I thought you were a goner for a moment in the fight" she said, sighing a breath of relief. "Oh and not 13 mats, they dropped a few extra materials so we're actually at 17 mats now." she said, opening her inventory to show him the mats and col that she had collected. "So, what shall we do, find another group of beasts to fight, go gathering or head on back to the town?" Allania asked. I would have been a goner if not for you though so I promise to make it up sometime." The spearman was unsure whether or not the pair should continue, but he had heared dungeons could be found on this floor and was certainly interested in finding one. He stroked his chin and almost wandered off into a daydream but remembered that they were in a desert so shook himself awake. "How about we go after one more group? A smaller one this time.... Sitting down next to the spearman, Allania had to catch her breath. The fights were fun, but they posed little risk to her in the long run, her armour protecting her fully. Looking down at the bodice she wore, Allania could not help but smile. It had served her so well, ever since she had made it, it had protected her long after she had traded in her old dagger for her current one. Looking back up at the spearman, "Another group? Sure, why not. Just let me catch my breath for a moment. And trying to find a dungeon sounds like a fun idea.". The spearman again surveyed the area in case he had missed anything. "I'll be back in a minute" he said looking at his friend before darting off down one of the dunes. Hopefully with some luck he wouldn't come back empty handed. "Ahaha I found something... maybe Allania will like this." Darting back up the mountain without examining what he had found, the spearman lumped an object onto her lap. "What do you think." Hydra glanced down at what he had found, and his face went pale. "Um..." a whole skeleton of a dead mouse lay in her lap curled up. "Why the heck hasn't that burst into shards" he cursed to himself. And tried kicking it off her, the words <Immortal object> appeared as it flew down the other side of the dune. It was as empty as ever up there, not a single cloud to clutter bright sky. They only things that obstructed the sky, was the bright blazing orb of the Sun and the Pillar that lead up to the next floor. Hearing Hydra clambering his way up the slope Allania looked down at him, he seemed to be carrying something but she couldn't quite make it out. She could though, when he dropped it on her lap. The skeleton of a mouse. Looking up at him exasperation on her face "really?" she sighed as he kicked it off of her. At that point he was about to plonk himself down but a group of toads (yes toads) seemed to be emerging from the ground below. Hydra didn't really know what to say as he looked at the incredibly large amphibians bounce towards them. He turned to Allania who was sitting down "Um.. I don't really know how to explain this but we may have a problem on our hands." A large thud sounded behind Hydra, one of the toads was standing directly behind him "Hey ther!" The creature shot out its tongue before he could finish and flung him across to another sand dune "Ahhhhhhhhhh!". He took no damage because the sand was soft but Allania was stuck with 4 of these things now. "Dammit! Im coming!" He shouted waving his arms in the air and running back towards his friend. Getting up, she got out her dagger again and went to attack the Toads that had appeared from the sand. Once again her dagger arc falling short on all of the creatures. Once she had completed her spin, she stopping and lent over, breathing heavily. She had barely had the time to rest. While she was panting the Toad's tongues lashed out towards her, slapping her but raking themselves against the spikes of her armour. As he got closer though the toads seemed rather cute and certainly unusual to be found in a place such as this. The spearman stopped dead in his tracks and tears began to well in his eyes. He was probably going insane from a lack of water by this point. "Look Allania! Look how Pretty they are!". Pulling her dagger back, Allania launched forward at the nearest Toad, this time going for a single one as opposed to the collective. Her dagger once again struck against nothing but air. Though her armour did the job, the monsters recoiling back once they had struck her, red pixelated gashes lining their hands. The toads saliva must have had some nasty toxins in because the spearman was really beginning to spin around now, throwing his spears in random directions. "WOAHHHHHH!" Check this out. The player pointed at the sun as though he had never seen it before and began running back towards the combatants with his arms spread open for a hug.
