The volcanic themed floor wasn't new to the blonde, but he hadn't visited the floor in ages it seemed. The smell of sulfur and decay was pungent enough to cause him to cover his nose despite it not causing him to grow sick. Crimson eyes scanned the area once more. His gaze on the look out for the broker that he was to meet in regards to the location of the new <Iron Guardian Quest>. The, would be, field still seemed empty but he managed to spot the path leading up to the next tier of the volcano. His steps seemed unsure as he had to remember that any step he took could cause the crumbling plane to erupt into flames. Though now that he thought on it, his Extra Skill <Survival> would actually negate any damage he would take from this environment. Re-assuring to say the least, the effects weren't any less scary. Shifting his gaze over the surface of the area once more, he spotted a glowing ore protruding from the surface. Bending over, he collected the material. I suppose this must be it, thought the blonde as he begin to head up the new path leading to the hut. The slope made the climb a little more difficult and winded than he imagined but he pushed through it and reached the hut's ledge. Taking a much needed breather, he composed himself before entering the hut of the broker. Wrinkling his nostrils, the blonde stepped towards the counter laid within the hut and awaited the broker to make his appearance. Moments passed, and a scruffy yet beefier man, made his presence known.The stench of alcohol seeped from the NPC as he spun the tale of a legendary boss who drops an item f epic proportions. However the journey to this place would be tough and as compensation for the information, the Broker wants the item drop. Accepting the terms, Oikawa promptly exited the hut and headed for the location the Broker had designated. Link to post Share on other sites

Bringing up his map, Oikawa checked his gear and began heading West from the hut. His legs carried him across the wasteland of sorts. Heat becoming a major factor with every step he took towards his destination. He paused a moment to rest. His guard down as something lurked in the distance. Looking up, he caught a glimpse of metal armor darting through the trees. Swiping down on his menu, the blonde quickly equipped all his gear and prepared himself for what was to come. "You all just won't give up will you?" Pivoting to face yet another Iron Knight, Oikawa wasted no time activating the same set of moves as before. Tearing across the grass, he lunged forward. Quickly closing the gap, the blonde's rapier rattled against the creatures armored chest five times with quick succession before causing the enemy to explode into another puff of pixels. Looking about, he spotted another four coming charging at him from the direction he had intended to cross. Sighing, he gripped his blade a little more firmly as the knights filed into the clearing. Singling out one of the brutes, Oikawa continued to activate his same combination of moves as they seemed to be pretty effective against the bunch. Removing his blade from the pixelated corpse of yet his third Knight, he glanced at the remaining three as if egging them on. Watching them move in unison made it easier on Oikawa to predict their movements. Letting the first once charge him, he side-stepped the attack. Drawing his blade up in defense, he repelled the second blow and concluding the little charade of an attack offered by the pathetic knights, he not only evaded the last Knight but he sent <Neutron> pummeling into it's armor causing it to no longer exist. The enraged mobs charged at the blonde in retaliation. Apparently having not learned their lesson the first time, Oikawa made quick work of their futile attacks by nimbly evading each one. With momentum carrying him, he easily stepped into his next use of <Neutron>. Rapping the tip of his blade into the chest of yet another Knight, he watched as it shattered into pixels. Aiming his rapier at the last one, he tilted it up as if asking the Knight to come at him. Bringing down his rust ridden axe, the Knight aimed for the skull of Oikawa. Seeing the age-old attack coming, the blonde, using the most minuscule of energy, parried the blow. Following up with a final <Neutron>, he dismantled the Knight where it stood. Sighing, the blonde turned to continue but stopped short when he realized what was standing before him. Looking straight up, he took in the colossal creature's presence. "The Iron Guardian eh? You better be strong." With his rapier still drawn, Oikawa inched closer to the Guardian before breaking into a full sprint at the titan of metal. Pushing off of one of the various rocks littering the surface, he activated his <Charge> skill and executed the starting motion for <Over Radiation>. One jab, two jabs, five jabs, 8 jabs, fourteen jabs; fourteen jabs and thrusts cut and ripped into the armor of the Guardian. Blows rending the refined metal into nothing but pixels as the engorged knight crumbled. Looking towards the dissolving heap, Oikawa sighed. "Not nearly a big enough challenge." Having gathered the requested item, the blonde felt a little shafted on his end. The boss wasn't as epic as he thought and the rewards weren't the greatest to say the least. Having not pushed that far from the hut, the blonde's return was rather quick. Entering the hut once again, the broker seemed rather surprised that he had returned so quickly. Suspicion arised as the NPC scrambled for his blade. A form of Paranoia apparently settling in as he clutched the blade. The suddenly with out hesitation, the man charged Oikawa. Much like the knights, the blonde sidestepped the initial strike, drawing his blade, and plunging it into the NPC several times over until he dissolved. No one attached to it on the other side and as such he shouldn't feel bad. Despite knowing this, a tinge of guilt still swelled within him. Holding onto the banner, he stepped outside the hut and began his descent back to the ground. I suppose I can look around for another sub dungeon. The loot is usually worth it, but then again I'm alone on this one so it depends on what the place looks like. If it seems to be much, I'll just head home. Link to post Share on other sites

Pushing further down the mountain he hadn't spotted anything worthwhile yet but he kept his optimism as he continued to de-elevate. Swiping his menu, he swapped his clasp out for the leopard plushy which he would need to keep his luck running high. Having finally reached the base of the mountain once again, he did another quick search around. Spotting something resembling a stairwell to his left, he decided to inspect it. Stepping down into the void, the blonde ended up stumbling into a tiny cavern. Snarls could be heard as four hellhounds made their presence known. Drawing his blade once more, he squared off with quartet. Surveying the area a bit more, he noticed that there seemed to be another being in their midst. Swiping at their legs, he knocked each hound up before knocking them back with a precision strike. Glaring at the magma drooling beasts, he prepared to defend himself as each one picked itself up from the ground. Snarling and barking, the hellhounds closed in on the blonde as they prepared to attack. As if on cue, the mutts lunged at the man. Narrowly avoiding the hellhounds, he immediately took action. Aiming below, he unleashed another Sweep. Picking up each hellhound, he jabbed them away just as quickly; however, with each jab, he managed to eliminate the hound. Sighing, he looked around. With the hellhound Mobs eliminated, the beast he spotted earlier should be making his appearance. As is if on cue, a roar emitted. Looking up, the blonde spotted the Magma Hound. Dashing forward, the faint glow of <Over Radiation> began to illuminate before he sent the blade crashing into the lava engulfed beast. Fourteen thrusts and jabs smashed into the side of the hound before allowing the blonde to step back and play defensively. The creature roared out in agony and frustration. Lava plumes emitting from its throat with each roar. Pawing the ground, the Magma Hound prepped to attack. Narrowly taking any damage from the blow with a roll to the left, Oikawa picked himself and activated another <Over Radiation>. Tearing across the cavern floor, rocks and magma flew up as he began to riddle the beast's left side with fourteen more rapid attacks. The beast merely roared out and bucked around. Unable to predict the beasts next attack, Oikawa opted to back away and make sure he was in the clear. Taking a defensive approach, he readied himself for whatever else the Magma Hound could have in store for him.
