As she stumbled along she noticed that even more of the monsters fell in an instance from the sudden clash of her two companions weapons. Standing there among them she already realized how useless a role she picked when ever these people before her had just as good of defense for the early mission as well as damage. Hanging her head as she walked along behind she then winced again as her health took another drop do to damage form this environment. "Are you ok?" She quickly would ask the other male who had just slashed the large axe through the remaining foes. "I'm glad that you all were able to kill these things, I feel like a pretty useless tank right no." Glancing towards Avilon, he watched as her demeanor sullied, making him feel like he hadn't quite done his job as leader of this little expedition. Stepping towards the lass as she questioned Teion if she was alright, Oikawa placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Avilon, you have no reason to doubt yourself. Neither of you should be comparing yourself to me. The time and experience I've gained is far more than your own hence the gap. For your levels, you both are doing fine and to be fair, this quest can be done by the two of you plus one more of your level. So stop sulking alright. Tank with your head high, because if you hang it low your asking fate to lop it off whether by mobs or other means alright?" Feeling he had said enough, Oikawa stepped into the path and gestured for the girls to follow. He had began to take a few more steps when the ground suddenly erupted from beneath them. Knocking Oikawa back, he scrambled to his feet as three snarling, magma drooling heads came bursting from the lava. "Well there he is ladies. Strike hard and try to have fun." Using his quicker speed, the blonde raced along the cracking rocks, using the jagged ones as leverage for pushing off as he targeted the center head. Bringing his arm full tilt, he launched the blade straight through the center of Cerberus and splintered out, instantly carving into each of the heads. The woman glanced over to the other two players as she pulled her weapon up again to carry it in both hands in front of her. Since they were likely going to find the boss soon, she'd keep herself at the ready. She watched patiently as Oikawa took a moment to comfort Avilon, who seemed to feel pretty down since she hadn't been able to land an attack. The blacksmith felt a twinge of guilt--the pink-haired girl was a bit out of place as a tank, since they were fighting enemies of a higher level. If she did take over as a tank, Teion feared Cerberus would rip the girl apart. Dismissing the thoughts from her mind, Teion waited until Oikawa finished speaking before she offered Avilon a small smile of encouragement. She followed the blonde leader until the ground suddenly shook, throwing the party off balance. Clenching her jaw, Teion regained her compsure before inwardly cursing at her still drained energy. She had enough left for one good attack, and had to hope the others had no issue finishing the job. With a fluid motion the woman charged forward again to follow-up Oikawa's attack.Her blade glowed another sky blue before she released three powerful swings at the left-most head. However, Tenion seemed to be proving that he was more than capable of taking on these opponents as he landed another attack. Both of them speedily galloping forward into battle against Cerberus the hell hound that was legend to guard the gates of the underworld itself. Gripping her sword she rand forward once again aimed toward the third fanged canine her sword missing as it reeled back essentially dodging her strike as she now collapsed onto her knees again. Her head hung low as she felt extremely ashamed that she couldn't even hit a broad side of a barn most likely in this miserable state. Nodding to Teion, he gestured for her to comfort the pinkette as he opted to finish off Cerberus. With three snarling maws snapping and yelping, Oikawa steeled himself as the heads lunged for him. All three blows connected, sending the blonde sliding back. Though the damage was minimal, he was too far out of position to retaliate. "Welp, who once to tangle with the overgrown mutt before i snap it in half?", inquired the blonde as he motioned towards the lava dripping tri-headed pit bull. The violet-haired woman looked to the third party member as he gestured to her. She quickly averted her gaze, unsure of what to say to make the tank feel better about the situation. Her expression almost seemed to form a small pout, and her words came out only just loud enough for Avilon to have heard her over the rumbling volcanic ground and snarling noises from Cerberus. "We can...do more quests together, if you want." The way Teion spoke hinted at embarrassment in her voice."I'll help you get stronger." Hoping that was enough, the blacksmith abruptly turned her attention back to the fight at hand. Oikawa seemed to shrug off the boss' damage and left her with the perfect opportunity to attack. A smirk overtook her expression at his comment, lifting her axe at the ready. Using the last of her newly-regenerated energy, Teion ran forward to unleash an identical attack as the last to successfully drop the health bar floating next to one of the monster's heads. "Yeah, that would be quite nice if I had more assistance in leveling up right now I still feel rather useless with all of the failing attacks I keep dishing out toward the ground." She breathed now taking a deep breath of volcanic soot and coughing now glancing back to see Tenion slay the first beast head that was chomping at the other two. "But first is first we need to make sure this things ahead of us dies." A small gush of lava spat at her she slightly side stepped at least getting the hang of dodging those hazards. Drawing his blade once more, Oikawa watched as Orochi took on a fain glow before allowing it to carve through the remaining two heads. Or so he had thought. Watching the blade pass through air as Cerberus evaded hi blow, Oikawa began to become beyond upset with himself. Looking to the two girls. he offered no explanation for his own struggles. It still wouldn't be enough to keep up with the onslaught of sword arts she would have liked to have been dishing out, but it would suffice. With a wry smile at the blonde's missed attack, the woman took a few steps forward, weapon in hand. Stopping next to the man, she took a readied stance to prepare her next attack, giving him a sideways glance. "Don't let it get to you." She said simply, as if trying to infect him with her calm tone. Her shoulders relaxed as she turned her attention back to the monster, her expression rather empty again. After waiting just a moment longer for her opportunity to present itself, Teion dashed forward, bringing her axe to the side as she got within range of the beast. She pulled the blade across her body, landing a blow across the second head's temple to leave a bright red gash. "You are both certain that this mission was the best idea after all of this was getting in the way." Now wiping her face as the heat of this place was getting to her a bit now glancing up as the dogs were descending upon their location once more both troubled by this fight as they couldn't seem to land the finishing blows upon Cerberus. "Gotta get this thing done quickly," she murmured softly knowing that at the rate she did damage she wouldn't get anywhere quickly. Link to post Share on other sites

Determination plastered to his features as he quickly approached Cerberus. Not even pausing to properly aim, He unleashed a flurry of spinning back kicks and sword thrusts into the two remaining heads. Each hit connecting as he quickly de-pixeled the creature. With shards shattering around him, the blonde heaved a sigh of relief that no one was majorly hurt barring the burns from this floor. Shifting his gaze to the two girls, Oikawa simply announced the defeat of the beast, "There. Decimated." A sideways glance at the player in question showed a flurry of motion as Oikawa darted forward, charging recklessly towards the Cerberus. He had naught to fear for his safety, but the movements and his strikes lacked the grace she expected from the rapier-user. 'He let it get to him.' She thought flatly, a small frown pulling at the corners of her mouth. As his sword art connected, the blacksmith lifted her axe to sheath it behind her. She felt another surge of the volcano's hot air tick meagerly at her health bar, but didn't give it a second thought. Looking like she was ready to leave, she glanced between Oikawa and Avilon with a small nod. "Shall we?" Smiling and nodding happy that soon she would be able to put this quest behind her and possibly this floor a this rate as she didn't have to worry about everything else that was going on. "I agree, I think this place is still liable to kill us through some of the environmental effects if we don't go and be careful about it."
