[F1-SP-KE] <<Avalanche>> Blood in the Snow

Recommended Posts

Hydra's footprints left light imprints as he traveled through the icy wilderness of the fourth floor. A gale of snow whirled around him highlighting his icy white skin and his dark dull blue eyes. There was no life to him, not anymore except for the deep condensed breaths that dispersed one by one. Twilight was coiled around him, once an energetic familiar now a seemingly demonic cobra whose attitude changed with it's owner. The brunette had his spear equipped, the silver tip of Lyrica's fang reflected the moonlight harshly. After several minutes of walking through the blizzard he arrived at a coniferous forest. A maze of needles, twigs and roots, not to mention the ever lurking shadows darker than the night itself.

A dim orange glow came from up ahead, no natural light could break through the canopy of this forest, it was artificial created by a MOB or possibly players. Hydra felt the darkness rise up inside himself a deep sorrow of the world, a desire to kill. Like a moth to a light he slowly moved his way through, everything was silent other than the sound of the odd fox darting across the floor and the sound of wolves howling, their cries echoing among the forest. Up ahead the floor began to give way, a gentle sloping river embankment formed a small stream covered with a crust of ice divided the forest.

Stepping over carefully the spearman then worked his way up to the other side of the bank and peered over the edge ensuring he stayed within the shadow of the forest so his presence was masked. The bright glow was surely enough from a campfire, around it came the sounds of chuckles and laughter from several figures. "Six..." He whispered in a depressed tone to himself. It was hard to make out at first but each figure had a cursor above there heads, an orange cursor like his. "Hmm..." The brunette hummed to himself, it did not matter green or orange he would bring death if possible because the darkness told him too, the sorrow in his heart had to be fulfilled. Slowly he picked himself up before walking towards the encampment...

The sound of crisp snow crunching beneath his feet alerted the players of his presence. They snapped there heads instantly and all seemingly stood up at once withdrawing their weapons. The largest figure, a man towering above Hydra clad in black steel armor looked at the young man that stood before him letting out a thunderous roar of laughter, "Well well, what do we have here?" His accent had a strong northern depth to it yet the way he dragged the sentence out was rather sinister. One of the other players sniggered to themselves, a rogue with a dagger, she was dressed in green velvet which covered her head to toe. The two others seemed to be lackeys dressed in shabby iron plating and wielding beginners weapons, they joined in with the man's laughter.

Of course Hydra did not care about any of this, whilst he wasn't the type of person who actively searched for conflict, the darkness growing inside of him yearned for chaos. The two other players had vanished Hydra noted glancing around. His lack of response seemed to upset the boss, "What do you want little wolf, lost your way in the scary forest." It was obvious he was mocking the spearman, yet Hydra responded with nothing but the dull depressed gaze in his cold eyes. "See what this is?" The rogue like woman said in a sly foxy like voice suddenly standing up. She pointed to a marking on her hand, a red diamond emblazoned with fire. "We are the Demonic Flame, a player killer guild, and my guess is either you came here to join us or you have something else in mind." The auburn haired woman pulled out her dagger and ran it across her tongue.

"I've come here to kill you..." Hydra finally said in a cold tone before raising his spear in the air. The group seemed to laugh again in uproar as though he had gone insane... which he clearly had, but not for that reason. He was outnumbered four to one. Each player slowly showed off their own weapons that could be made out in the glow of the fire light, an iron axe, a two handed war hammer, a dagger and a straight sword. There was certainly a variety of opposition and that wasn't accounting for the previous two players who had vanished into the forest. For a moment a dead silence hung in the air, until the sound of a log spitting from the fire seemed to send the combatants into a mad rampage as they stormed through the camp towards the spearman...

Despite the look of the player killers they had good co-ordination. The large knight went in first sending his war hammer crashing down, it was easy to dodge but the brunette felt the shock wave as it crashed into the ground bringing up mounds of dirt and wood with it. Hydra lashed outwards but his spear bounced off the knight's armor failing to do any damage. At this point the rogue had come from behind him, she aimed for his throat fortunately Twilight, the brunette's familiar anticipated this. She lashed out, her two heads at once fending off the attacker, her scales reflecting the white soft glow from the snow cover. The other two player killers had also entered the combat, although their weapons were so basic they failed to cut through Hydra's armor.

Capitalizing on this mistake the spearman then twisted his body in one large circle. Lyrica's fang cut through the forest creating a light vortex of snow. Within moments it was done, Hydra had killed two players with no hesitation. Red crystals stained the floor, the bark, the river and had covered the fire. The weapons and armor had dispersed intro crystals themselves. As for the other player killers, the rogue was in shock. Her hp bar was now at four life, the other one was staring at his right hand, or his previous right hand. It seemed Lyrica's fang had caught it in it's radius chopping it off. The knight's face turned a bright red and veins could be seen protruding across his face. Neither seemed to care about what had just happened to the other two players but instead they quickly turned and glared at Hydra with faces filled with hate. "I'LL KILL YOU!" The man screamed in a flustered rage, his sense of humor now gone. He stumbled towards Hydra with only one hand and attempted a swing...

"Predictable..." Hydra muttered under his breath. The enraged player swung more and more, yet Hydra simply dodged the hefty war hammer with ease. The rogue was sat paralyzed on the ground simply staring at the combatants with a look of horror and shock spread across her face, her boss turned to shout out her to help him but this was Hydra's opening. The shouting turned into a sinister silence for a few seconds, after that the only words which came out were gargles and gags. The tank looked down as he watched his hp bar deplete. A spear had been stabbed through his back seven times and finally the last had ripped through the back of his neck and completely destroyed his throat.

Upon Hydra withdrawing his spear the giant was no more. Crumbling forward into a heap on the ground, red crystals soaked the floor before he finally shattered into crystals. The woman who had finally come to grips with the situation clasped her head and began screaming. It reminded him of when he became an orange player, the other Hydra couldn't wield that amount of despair, this was the result. Each footstep symbolized the sound of death approaching, with every footstep the ground crumbled slightly as he drew towards his last victim, the despair still in his heart.
