{PP-F1} To Manipulate and to Heal -Kasier and myself

Recommended Posts

@Kasier as promised here's the thread

Domarus walked down the darkened streets of the town of beginnings.  The moon and stars were blocked by storm clouds and with all the darkness and gloom he was the only player out and about.  Keres was asleep in the room he had weaseled his way into renting for free.  With his servant not around he believed it might be time to try the starry eyed illusion potion...  Maybe.  He still wasn't sure it was time yet and honestly he was mainly out here to train, whether it be fighting the weakest mobs or gathering materials he could use to sell items at his shop once he opened.  Of course he'd have to do the quest first but no harm in preparing.  Oh ho, far from that.  Domarus was the only one he knew of who truly set plans.  He made a goal and set multiple sets of plans for it, and plans in case those plans failed.  He had an idea for how he wanted to go about his shop but it's overall purpose was only to get his hands on as much col as he could for something...  Special...  A way for him to rise in strength and power, far higher than any other player could ever hope to reach.  His black two handed battle ax hung on his back, it's blade pulsing a dark red glow through the night.  He didn't bother looking at the many buildings or npcs.  If he spotted a player he'd smile and wave to keep up the pretense of being their knight in shining armor.  The players were beginning to think he was too.  He hadn't given them any signs as to otherwise.  As he drew closer to the city gate he wondered what fools would fall into his path tonight.

The night was a quiet one. The moonlight was completely round and the cloudless sky didn’t help to mask the power of its rays as she walked courageously forwards. As a healer, she had no methods of obtaining materials quickly and efficiently. As a result, the only true method that she had which could possibly allow her to get materials faster is through non-combat gathering. Sure, it would take quite a while for her to gather enough materials for her to get all the gear that she wanted, but in the end, it would be worth the effort. Kasier sighed, her eyes sore from tiredness as she walked into the city gates.

However, she was not alone. Ahead of her was a dark figure, his hair was rustled and his body was absolutely gigantic. It seemed that he had a battle axe on his back, red, almost as if it was covered in blood. Indeed, as one would’ve guessed, it was not a sight that Kasier wanted to lay her eyes on in the darkness of the night. In fact, she soon decided that she would turn away from the figure and head straight into the nearest tavern.

Normally, Kasier wouldn’t have been so cautious even if it was dead in the night. However, the figure reminded her of something… Something that she couldn’t place her hands on. Perhaps she was mistaken; it wouldn’t surprise her given that she was often mistaken about a person’s personality. This man, however, gave her the chills. Upon entering the tavern, she found it to be nearly empty except for a couple of NPCs. Kasier rushed past the waiter who was offering her a menu before sitting down by herself on a table by the corner

As Domarus walked over to the town gate he heard a rush of footsteps behind him.  Naturally with all the players having seemingly gone to sleep or something he turned around to see who it was.  Unfortunately he saw nothing.  He could have sworn though.  He turned around, hoping to check it out.  That's when the rain started to come down.  At first it was steady rain which he was perfectly fine with.  However as he walked, each second it became harder and harder, coming down in buckets.  In the end he could barely see anything.  He didn't mind rain at all, but when it blinded him it was another matter entirely.  Growling he lunged himself into the nearest building.  He rubbed the water out of his eyes so he could see again and took note of his surroundings.  It was a nearly empty tavern and the waiter was on him so quickly he was guessing they were either usually out of business, or wanted to get col faster than others could.  He understood as he desperately needed col for his own plans.  Domarus took the menu and thanked the man before seating himself down by the tavern wall.  He placed the menu down and sighed, looking out at the rain and mentally cursing it.  Once again he couldn't go out and train, let alone gather col.  He placed his ax in his inventory as he wouldn't be needing it now and proceeded to rub his eyes as he considered what to do.  He couldn't go back to the inn or anywhere else for that matter, with the rain being so freaking hard.  So all he could do was get comfortable and find some way to pass the time.  He scanned the area within a second and didn't stare at anything.   Even the player he just spotted.  He gazed at the decorations for a bit as he decided that this was most likely the player whom he heard walking away.  He would let her make the interactions.  Thus far all he had shown was slight disappointment and tiredness.  If she said or did nothing he would figure out how to proceed.

Soon enough, as if the game had a system of timing, the clear sky suddenly turned cloudy at the blink of an eye and soon enough, rain began to pour down upon the world of Aincrad. Rain was such a symbolic figure in this world, to some people, rain was a symbol of sadness, but to Kasier, rain was simply the washing of stress and unwanted memories. Just like when she knelt on her legs when she watched Helios jump off a cliff without saying anything to her. Such a kind man had met his end in such a terrible way and that day, it poured down upon Kasier. Rain had been unstoppable but Kasier had barely noticed.

Indeed, that time, rain was sadness. But when she kissed Itzal during a battle under rainfall, rain was happiness. Now, what was rain? Kasier’s red amber eyes directed towards the door when a tall man walked into the tavern. Soon enough, Kasier decided that it would be safe to assume that he had been the silhouette that she had seen just a couple of minutes ago. There weren’t much people in this world that was so gigantic. Although the man didn’t look as intimidating now, Kasier still wouldn’t approach him. With a grunt, she ignored the man and motioned for the waiter to come.

“I would like a medium sized lemonade, please.” Kasier said, smiling and leaning her head against the palm of her hand, which was now resting on the tabletop. Within a minute of her request, the waiter headed back to the kitchen to prepare and obtain the lemonade that she had ordered.

Domarus noticed the girl decided to make an attempt to ignore him.  He wondered how long the maiden could keep it up.  As he gazed around he saw the waiter bring a lemonade in her general direction and decided to take a look at the menu himself.  He opened it up and despite the dullness in the place, it seemed that they had food similar to a restaurant.  He scanned the meals and noted that there was much more than he expected, and much of it more fancy and seemingly tasty.  From Italian foods to American burgers.  They even had every drink and shake imaginable.  Domarus wondered why this shop didn't get many customers.  And as usual he began to calculate ways it might be flawed, whether it be the generated staff, noise, bad customers that would come in from time to time, the quality or quantity of the food.  He ruled out pricing and waiting time as they both seemed dependable and decent.  The waiter came over and asked for his order and he said he would still think about it but in the meantime he ordered a small glass of wine.  He knew this game prevented negative effects and therefore he probably wouldn't get drunk, but even if he could it took a very large amount of alcohol in the real world to do so.  His body had become resilient and he did so for a tactical reason.  After making himself immune to alcohol he would be able to have drinking contests or go to a party where people could get drunk.  After they had some glasses they would become drunk and he himself would not, though he'd make it appear as though he were.  As they continued to drink he would then interrogate them while they didn't know what they were saying and get information he needed.  He needed to figure out if it was possible to get drunk in this game and if so, then he'd need to make plans.  The wine was placed at his table and he thanked the waiter before sighing and leaning against his seat, not taking a sip yet.

The waiter had returned sooner than she had expected and gave her the lemonade sooner than she had expected, which was a good thing considering the fact that she really didn’t want to get anything to drink or eat in the first place. The only reason that she was present at the moment was to avoid the rain and the suspicious person that she had seen walking towards her. However, when a tall man walked into the tavern, following her, she realized that the bright red on the man’s axe was simply her own misunderstanding due to the darkness of the night. It didn’t change the fact that she would rather not talk to the man. There was something about him that she just simply couldn’t place her hands on and she really didn’t want to dig deeper. If he wanted to talk to her, he was going to have to start it or else she won’t engage the conversation or initiate it.

However, soon, she realized how foolish she was being. Why would she be so scared of something within the safe zone? There was nothing that the man could do to her in here and the boundaries along with the coding of the game prevented any possible harm that could be done to her. Whatever. She thought, signaling for the waiter to pay before inserting the lemonade into her inventory so she can save it for later when she actually might need something to drink. With a yawn, she stood up and made her way to the exit so she can hurry back to her shop and catch a snooze after a busy day of material gathering.

Domarus watched as the woman received her lemonade and paid the npc before standing to leave the building.  He wondered if it was either his presence or something else that caused her to leave.  Either way her leaving told Domarus that the rain wouldn't be pouring so badly.  Which meant that he had no reason to stay either.  He decided to leave a little later however as otherwise it would seem like he was following her and, of course, he couldn't leave that impression on anyone.  However a player was sneaking out of the kitchen door and when he was out, a figure who was sitting down, seemingly an npc stood up to join him.  The two of them cackled and began speaking softly together but Domarus caught some of it.  When he did he realized that these players had set up something just now.  And most likely it involved Kaiser.  He rose immediately which startled the two players as they hadn't noticed him yet.  He began to rush outside to catch up with the woman, hearing the two curse before rushing after him.  Due to how fast the events had taken place, Domarus was assuming that they didn't target Kaiser specifically, but rather any player in general.  He could see the scenario in his mind.  Player walks in.  The player sitting down is secluded with his back to the door so that when the bell rings he sends a private message to his buddy.  The man sees it so whenever an item is ordered he simply slips something into the food or water.  He saw the woman and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Miss please, I know it's rather sudden but would you mind letting me see that lemonade you bought?"

"Don't, listen to him," one of the players said, gasping for breath as he finally caught up, his buddy close behind him.  Domarus did not look back at them, but rather kept his worried and determined expression up.  Looking back would give the woman reason to doubt him.

Kasier looked back just as she was about to step out into the pouring rain. The storm had settled down a bit now and the liquid was no longer pouring down upon the people of Aincrad. No longer did the outside sound like the sprinting motion of someone’s careless foot but now, it sounded like a mysterious man carefully approaching something in the depths of the night. Perhaps Kasier had found a new interest to compare the sounds of nature to the sounds of men. In all honesty though, there really isn’t that much of a difference between the two. With an eyebrow raised, she looked behind her to see the giant redheaded man towering over her with his eyes staring straight at her. Behind him was another player, definitely not as tall as the other man and definitely did not have the same atmosphere to him. Kasier’s ears twitched upon hearing the man’s deep voice, suggesting that she should hand over the lemonade that she had just purchased from the shop. It was quite the strange request, however, she really could care less. If the man wanted to see her lemonade, it’s not like he’ll put something in it against her wishes right in front of him. She had all the time to waste at the moment so she might as well see what the man is up to. Kasier flipped her black hair before sitting down on the nearest table and inviting the redheaded man to sit with her.

“Fair enough, I’m quite bored and this seems interesting. Let’s see why you want to see my lemonade.” She stated plainly, opening up her inventory at the same time as speaking before pulling out the cup of lemonade that she had just purchased a few minutes before. “Well, then. Is he a friend of yours?” She asked, signaling to the man just behind the red-head

Domarus listened as the player accepted his odd request and began to pour the lemonade.  As she did the player behind him tried again to tell her not to, attempting to move closer but Domarus' arm shot out and stopped him like lightning, his arm standing like an unmovable mountain.  When she finished pouring it Domarus picked it up.  Heard her question and shook his head.

"No."  He slipped some of the drink into his mouth but did not swallow it.  As he suspected he tasted the potion.  From what he could tell it wasn't a poison, which meant it had a much worse effect.  He recalled what Esther had told him about a player tricking her into drinking a potion that made her so hot she literally had to strip off her clothes but was stopped thanks to Lycan who gave her an antidote just in time.  This thought plus the potion now in his mouth filled him with rage that he needed to be careful with.  He did not want to scare this player away with his wrath.  He spit the liquid out and the man knew he'd been discovered and tried to run away but Domarus grabbed the man's shirt and nearly made him fall with the sudden stop in movement.  He placed the cup down.

"Get rid of the rest miss, this man and his partner poisoned it.  Not something that deals damage but I doubt you'd like to find out exactly what it does."  He worked hard not to show wrath on his face and rather managed to keep up a face of disgust as he looked at the player.  The man looked nervous.  After all this was suppose to be a stealthy interaction where they didn't get caught and they had a little fun.  Now however he could tell that his partner had just vanished and he was at the mercy of this player.  He couldn't harm him of course, but the huge man was much stronger than him and could drag him outside the safe zone.  Domarus turned to Kaiser.

"This isn't the first time it's happened either.  It seems these guys are getting more confident."

Kasier’s eyebrows went up when she watched as the man took a sip. She had thought that he was being rather rude to go ahead and start drinking the lemonade that she had purchased in order to save himself of hunger. If it were in the morning, Kasier would’ve definitely retaliated with the fact that the man was stealing her lemonade. However, now, she realized that the man must have been pretty desperate to do such a thing.

There is something wrong with this man. Kasier thought, her eyes widening as she watched the man spit out the lemonade that he had just put into his mouth. It wasn’t everyday that someone steals lemonade only to waste it and her mouth formed an O shape when the redhead grabbed onto the collar of the nearby player. “What are you doing? Don’t do th-,” she began to say but was soon cut off when the redheaded man spoke in a deep voice. Apparently, the other player had poisoned the lemonade that she had just purchased without her knowing despite the fact that she had literally just purchased such an item. If that was, indeed, the case, then she was rather grateful for the man. However, how could the man possibly have known about such a plot without him being part of it? This arose some suspicion within Kasier’s tired brain.

“So, such things have happened before? I guess these guys are pretty desperate if they are still on the first floor trying to poison girls.” She said, eyeing the man, wondering what type of person he is. “So, what are we going to do about the man?” She asked, wondering what he will do as punishment when the man’s fate is all rested in his hands. “By the way, one more thing? How did you know that these people put something into my drink?

Domarus listened to the woman's question.  The other man heard it as well and looked at Domarus with a pleading look.  Inwardly he wanted to beat the perverted freak until he begged for mercy.  Such was his punishing nature.  However there was no way he was going to show it to this woman.  She might be important at a later date.  He gave a sigh.

"The only thing I can do miss.  I'm going to drag this guy to the jail for a few weeks.  Maybe he'll have learned his lesson by then."  The man's eyes widened.  The group he was a part of would not only take vengeance upon him for getting caught, but they would kick him out or worse:  Kill him for his failure.  The best option this player would have was to find some way of repenting and joining someone who could protect him.  However before he could he caught a glance from Domarus.  He knew exactly what was going through the player's mind and his look said that they would talk about it later.  This look was hidden from Kasier because Domarus needed to look down and behind him to give it to the player.  He turned back to the woman as she asked the second question.

"Just after you left a player walked out of the kitchen and joined this one.  They started laughing darkly and their expressions displayed malicious intent.  This one pointed to the door, so I assumed he was referring to you, the player who just left.  I knew a player who was tricked into taking a potion so after that event I simply put two and two together:  Either they were targeting you for later, or they slipped a potion, the only way to get to a player in a safe zone, into your drink.  Once I knew that I couldn't just let you drink it and be effected."  Domarus walked over to the doorway and whistled and waved to npc guards.  The two walked over and Domarus explained the situation and handed the player over, telling them to bring him to the prison.  The guards nodded and began dragging the helpless player away.  He returned to the woman.

"Sorry about waisting your drink.  I can pay for it if you'd like."

Kasier shrugged. She was still quite suspicious of the man’s actions but she knew at this point that some sort of plot had definitely been developed against her and this man had somehow managed to prevent her from making a fatal mistake. Although Kasier was still not entirely clear about how the man had found out… either he was part of it, or he was highly intelligent and had some sort of deductive skill that allowed him to figure out a lot about the things that has been happening around him especially since he was able to decipher what was happening just with the use of looking at the expressions of other players. It didn’t matter though, she owed the man something and the only thing that she can provide him with was perhaps a chance for her friendship and a spot on her friends list. However, that is really the only thing that she can give since she doesn’t have Col or materials. “Well, thanks a lot for helping me out there. I guess you kind of saved me from drinking the poison that those players put in my drink. I guess I wouldn’t mind another drink but I can afford it myself. So, may I get you something to drink as thanks for what you did?” Kasier said, deciding that the redheaded giant was very nice in nature and her first impression of the man was, in fact, incorrect. With a sigh, she sat back down again and invited the man to sit across from her. “I really can’t give you anything as a token of thanks since I don’t have that much materials or Col so the least I can get you is a cup of beverage.

Domarus watched as she seemed to relax a little bit but still seemed suspicious of him, which was understandable.  He only needed to work towards gaining her trust was all, as he did with all potential followers or allies.  He had been lucky in the past few days but he still acted like luck was working against him, thus being prepared for the day luck failed him.  He smiled gently as she offered to buy him a drink.  He sat down at her table at last and nodded.

"It's alright, I hate people like that.  You don't need to repay me or anything, I was only doing what I could.  However if you truly insist, I'll admit that I don't have that much col either so maybe we could split the price?  I trust you to whatever you think is good here.  It's my first time in this place.  My name's Domarus by the way, nice to meet you."  As he introduced himself he offered to shake her hand while smiling.  Presuming that she shook his hand he leaned back a little bit with a sigh.  He was realizing just how tired he was becoming over the weeks.  It had been stressful trying to level grind without proper equipment, not to mention that he needed to avoid a great list of things until he had followers.  Work on top of work.  No rest for the wicked indeed he thought.

"Ever been in that position where it feels like you're pushing yourself a little too hard?  The point where you just want to collapse?"  He let out a sigh as he allowed his body to relax in the chair, making it clear that he was having that moment.  He wondered what kind of player she was.  Was she kind to others and caring?  Was she cruel and relentless?  It was clear she wasn't trusting, but it could be a quick response and nothing more.  He also wondered what sort of build she had and if she could be a potential follower or better yet, general.

Kasier listened to the redhead man speak and found his word choices to be rather strange. The man had pretty much just stated, “I hate people like that” and that really offended Kasier especially since she had offered the man a free drink. If he hated people like that, then what type of people did he like? Kasier shook her head, convincing herself that the man had just accidentally used the wrong choice of words to deliver a message that he really didn’t like to be offered free items. It was then that the man introduced himself as Domarus, a name fitting for a giant. However, it was clear to her at this point that the man was not a member of the front lines. She was sure that she knew all the names of the greatest players in Aincrad and through gathering information, she had really found out what happened before she walked out of the inn and became an active player.

“My name is Kasier, nice to meet you.” Kasier said formally, “I wouldn’t mind splitting the price. But that would mean both of us would be paying for each of our drinks. Waiter! I would like 2 cups of lemonade please. To be honest though, this is the first time that I am here as well. I only came in here to avoid the pouring rain from drenching me too much. Now that the rain is gone, I should have to problem getting home later.” She admitted. Immediately after that statement, Domarus strangely talked about something that Kasier found not relatable. The man seemed like he was exhausted and overworked when he talked about it. “Eh, not really. I have found life to be fairly easy. I just don’t have the motivation nor the skill to grind for better stats and levels. I sure would like to grow a lot faster than I am growing right now. Speaking of work, what level are you, Domarus?"

Domarus listened as the woman finally gave him a name.  Mentally he chuckled to himself as it was nearly identical to the name Kaiser, the name of a German Emperor, or the Head of the Roman Empire.  Such a proud name to have given herself.

"Nice to meet you Kasier!  And I guess your right about the prices.  I'm fine with making my own purchase, but if you insist I won't argue."  He wanted to make himself seem like a very honest and just man, but he also didn't want to appear the type who would be annoying and irritating to be around because of it.  It was a clever ruse but he thought no less of himself.  It was expected.  Nobody was better at deception or manipulation than he was.  This player seemed strong and judging by her voice, wasn't the kind of person who cared about knights in shining armor.  Understandable he thought, but he needed to keep up the pretense of being the selfless kind man.  He heard her response and mentally wondered if she truly would make a suitable follower.  Laid back, unmotivated.  She might make a follower but she'd never be a general.  She then asked him his level.  Nosy eh?  He knew another player like that...

"I'm level ten currently, but I intend to change that quickly.  From what I heard the front liners unlocked tier two and are close to unlocking the third one, so I figured I'd shoot for tier 2 and see where that takes me.  Hopefully I'll be able to join and help out the front lines."  Get to the front lines and make himself too important to remove that is.  It was his plan.  Once he became essential to the mission of escaping this game he could be more lax in his actions or speech.  He would no longer have to be afraid of being removed or killed with both the necessity, his reputation, and followers.  Ultimate power and control, his own personal army of followers.  That was his goal.  And it was one that he hadn't failed to succeed in thus far.

Kasier frowned as the man once more stated that he wouldn’t mind paying for his own drink. The redheaded man was way too polite, something that she couldn’t decide on whether it was a good thing or not. Kasier decided that while it certainly isn’t bad to talk to someone polite, it seemed that polite people were always the ones hiding something. Perhaps she was just overthinking the whole situation. Soon, Kasier decided to ignore her instincts. “No, no. Don’t worry about it. Think of it as thanks for saving my dignity and keeping those men away. I think it is pathetic that there are still players like that at this stage of the game. Don’t those players want to get out of this game?” Kasier finished just as the waitress came out with two cups of lemonade.

“Thanks, I will be paying for those.” She stated as she watched the lady place the two cups of lemonade in front of her onto the desk that the two were sitting occupying. With a sigh, she grabbed onto the nearest one and took a sip of the ice, fruity drink. Soon enough, the redhead began to talk about his level and his goals in this game. Domarus was a few levels below her, but she knew that it would be a lot harder for him to reach the front lines than her because she was a healer, a role that is currently deep in need and was a necessity in the front lines. As soon as she grand mastered first aid, she would be able to reach the front lines and contribute. “That’s a great goal. We do need more players on the front lines to help and progress with this game so we can hurry up and get out of this game. I’m planning to reach the frontlines soon as well. Maybe we will see each other in the front lines.” She finished

Domarus listened to the woman insist on paying for his drink and he smiled gratefully with a small bow of his head.

"As you wish," he replied politely.  He wondered if she was doing this because she felt indebted to him or if she was more polite than his acting was.  When she mentioned the two men and why they didn't seem to want to leave the game he frowned, allowing a minor distaste to show through his eyes, which to others looked extreme.  However others never had thoughts of torturing the leader to keep the group from targeting their own organization again.  Domarus had done that with the bullies at school, thugs on the streets, and when he got back to the real world he'd do it again if need be.  However it was only reserved for those who deserved it.  Whoever led these men obviously deserved it.

"Men like them wouldn't want to leave.  People cower in fear in this game, fearful of dying.  People like these learn how to use the games mechanics against others.  A friend of mine had taken a drink someone offered and it ended up being a potion that made her so hot she was forced to start stripping in front of him.  However another player was able to use an antidote in time before it went out of hand, which I am very grateful for.  These men are vulgar and will twist the mind with their potions to satisfy their lustful desires it seems.  That's why they don't want to leave miss.  The game works for them, not against them like the real world."  He leaned back in his seat as the subject changed, sighing as he allowed the stress to exhale out of his body.  She talked about the front lines and how she hoped to see him there sometime.  She seemed awfully intentional on leaving the game.  He wondered if she'd change her mind in the end, or be one of the last who simply couldn't stand the game anymore.  He nodded.

"I am aiming to push hard and work my way up swiftly.  Hopefully we'll see each other up there sooner than you think."  He finished with a smile and as he did he took a drink of the beverage.

Kasier smiled. The man was still showing off quite the polite characteristics, indicating that he was from a high-class family in real life. Kasier had decided that she wouldn’t mind going through a few quests or other tasks with the man. He wasn’t very bad to stick around, or at least, that was how he portrayed himself. Kasier smiled, the impression that she had of him at the beginning outside in the rain was the complete opposite of what the character was actually like. After another sip of lemonade followed by a deep sigh, she began to speak once more. “You are right. This world is full of opposites. Everything needs to be balanced, so it makes sense that there are good people and bad people in this world. Of course, if these people don’t exist, you would think that we would make a lot more progress then we have made so far into the game. I can’t be bothered to even look at these people sometimes.” She finished.

Although she believed that everyone could be changed for the good, there were certain things that just should not be done such as vulgar actions to force others to strip and take advantage of that. “This is the first time that I had experienced something like this game. I guess these players mostly target the first floor mostly because the players here are decently under-leveled.” Kasier finally concluded, wanting to switch to topic to a more positive one instead of talking about such a gloomy topic in this world of Swords Art Online. Kasier yawned and forced her mouth shut before speaking again, trying to develop some conversation so she can find out more about this Domarus character. “By the way, are you interested in joining a guild?” She asked, noting that her guild was, in fact, in need of members.

Domarus listened to Kasier talk about how the world is full of opposites and yet there needs to be a balance.  He nodded as she shared her thoughts.

"Indeed.  If there were only good people in this world, it wouldn't be as good a world as everyone believes.  I read a book about it though I forget the name.  It was a long time ago.  I also believe that if only good people existed then there would be less motivation.  Yes there are players who wish to get hope quickly to see their families, but many fight because they are terrified of dying here, whether by monsters or player killers.  However if player killers, tricksters, and the maggots like we saw earlier didn't exist.  This world could be enjoyed much more than the real one, and therefore much cause would be lost."  He listened but did not reply to Kasier as she talked about the scum he just dealt with and why she thought they roamed here.  He nodded.  They were cowards, pitiless worms who would prey on the weak and twist their minds through unnatural means to make them their slaves.  Domarus used words, events, and situations to change other's minds, not potions.  And Keres was only his servant because she had begged him for it.  Thus he had a servant as well as someone to vent on.  Other than that he just used his manipulative powers to round up followers.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.  He heard her ask if he was interested in joining a guild and he smiled.

"Actually I'm considering one at the moment yes.  A player named Jonathan told me about his guild:  Celestial Ascendants.  I might join that one, but he said I'd need to talk to this Hikoru character to join.  We'll see what happens I guess."  He wondered what guild she was a part of, and what it's goals were.  When Domarus gathered followers he refused to make a guild.  It was too public, too well known.  However.  If he became popular enough, then perhaps he might make one...  Perhaps.  However if he did it would consist of his four generals and his most trusted followers.  Not anyone could get into the guild if he ever obtained one.

Kasier took the last sip of lemonade left in her glass before calling for the waitress and paying for both of the player’s drinks. It appeared that Jonathan had been doing work in terms of recruiting, but Kasier, despite being very devoted to the guild, did not really appreciate of the man’s work. It was rather pathetic that he was recruiting without the approval of other members of the guild. Of course, she could understand why the man was recruiting without her knowing, she really didn’t have the best reputation at the moment. A deep sigh came from deep within Kasier as she redirected her attention at Domarus, especially when the redhead something about him needing to talk to Hikoru regarding obtaining membership within the guild.

That actually triggered her. Hikoru was one of the newest members and the only reason that he held any power was due to his level, which was, of course, deserved. However, he shouldn’t be making decisions for the whole guild either. Kasier had always opposed a system in which only one person made the decision, and it appeared that at the moment, Jonathan was doing a bunch of things without even bothering to ask the others for their opinions. This is pathetic. She thought; her eyes rolling as she stood up.

“Well, it’s getting rather late now. My home isn’t too far away from here. Let’s hope we can see each other in the frontlines soon enough, remember my name: Kasier, I am sure that we will meet once more soon, a lot sooner than one might think.” She smirked, having no intention to tell Domarus that she is one of the council members of the guild, not that it meant much. “I will see you later, brave Domarus, I should be able to get home without troubles. Farewell.” She finally uttered, walking out of the shop. “I need to talk to Jonathan about this.” She finally concluded, whispering under her breath.
