The girl closed her eyes and Zulas looked at her confused. He scratched his head and looked around. After finally making sure that there no more threats, he also closed his eyes. Only the wind could be heard and strangely enough animal also came back with their sounds. He waited a couple of minutes and was about to say something when he stopped himself. It was faint but it was there, a sweet, soft melody could be hears as if it came from a mile away. Gradually, it became louder and louder but a voice broke his conversation.

"You see it is not a story, Oni-san.", said the girl. This time Zulas opened his eyes and turned around to look a the girl, but she wasn't a girl anymore. In place of the girl, there was a blue fairy. Her wings were translucent, the seemed to flicker in the light but he knew they didn't cause the fairy was on the ground. Her beauty was something not of this world, it was something he had never seen before. She could see his expression and smiled, "I'm sorry to have fooled you, young adventurer but I wanted to make sure you weren't here to do her any harm."

Zulas didn't know what to say, he just stayed there with a confused look on his face. "If you're not her, then who are you and where's the girl?", he asked worried.

"She's fine. They're bringing her here now.". As soon as she said that, a couple of wolves came out of the forest towards them. One of them had a body on its back, it looked like the same girl that the fairy had been. "And she bears a gift."

The wolves laid the girl on the ground, and she had a flower grasped in her hands close to her chest. The melody was louder now, loud enough to drown out the normal sounds of the night. The flower was bright white with red stains on its petals and as it played the melody the petals vibrated. It was a very beautiful flower that, if it had existed in the real world, Zulas was certain that it would've been coveted by a lot of people.

"This flower is called Lilith, the Song of the Night. The vibrations play a melody that soothes the soul and warms your heart. Does it not?", the fairy asked Zulas.

It indeed warmed Zulas's heart and soul. It made him feel a extreme calm that he didn't even think about anything else but that moment in time, him standing by this lake under the full moon. He did not say anything but continued to look at the sleeping girl holding the flower.

The fairy continued, "Take her with you. She'll wake up when you reach the city. She told me of her father, in order to help him she needs to give me the medicine before the next time the moon rises. If she does, the next time the complete moon is over the sky he will wake up." With that the wolf laid went back into the forest and the fairy walked over to the lake. Zulas saw as she walked over the water, graciously sliding with each step until she reached the center of it. "I'm sure we'll meet again, adventurer."

Zulas saw the fairy disappear under the water, as if she had been swallowed hole by the lake itself. He stood there dumbfounded, then he noticed that the song had already subsided and the steady breathing of the girl could be heard every few seconds. He took her in his arms and carried her away from the forest, a few minutes later arriving at the entrance of Starting City. The mother saw them getting close to the entrance and rushed to greet them with tear in her eyes. The girl woke up soon after that and Zulas explained to them what the flower was and how to use it, although he left out the details of the fairies and her companions. He didn't know why he hid that fact, but seeing how happy they were and how thankful they were for the help erased the thought from his mind.

It had been an interesting quest and Zulas wondered if somebody else had done one like that. The memory of the song was still fresh in his mind as he walked back into town, drowsiness getting the better of him. Finally, he retreated to a close enough inn in order to sleep for the night and get ready for the next day and what it would bring.
