Sey 0 Posted November 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2016 (edited) Things were looking up, everything that was needed to survive was being obtained and he was meeting more of the players. All of them seemed rather friendly and helpful so far, so his guard was slowly lowering and lowering each day. One of them even brought him up to this point, which was very generous of them since this view was something he would have loved to know about back in the past. However, that was just simply a punishment for trying to play it safe earlier. Fortunately, that was not him in the present. Now the next thing for him to do was to explore the town, see all the sights that existed within it... So of course, he'd move out of the safe zone and out of the town. Something about a lake was being talked about, and a new landscape was something enticing to the curious player. So with an assault spear placed in his grip and his uncommon heavy armor, he felt prepared to take on anything. It worked in the past at least. So he would move his body out from the safety of the town, searching for the lake. Frostbite Lake, so that was his destination. Edited November 21, 2016 by Sey
Hakai 0 Posted November 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) Hakai lay on her back next to the lake, a bored expression on her face. How long had it been since she had chased a real person down. How long since she had felt the pain and pleasure of slamming a fist into someone's face? She sighed. This game took the fun out of everything. First off it had inhibitors for pain, and secondly the way the game worked she couldn't even kill anyone. Not if she wanted out that is. Every person who died in the game was another person who wouldn't be able to fight in the final battle. Above all else she wanted to escape, so she couldn't take a single life. That was what kept her from falling to her own devilish instincts. She opened her menu and started to go over the information contained in the guide, going over the different demonic and unique enhancements and how they could be combined best. She needed to know everything backwards and forwards if she wanted to achieve her goals. Edited November 21, 2016 by Hakai
Sey 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted November 21, 2016 It did not take too long for him to find the lake there, the Frostbite lake. During this time, the daytime, it seemed to be pretty to the eye, but nothing too eye-popping. If anything stood out the most in front of him, it was the fact that there was another person there, a player no less. Laying down though... Was she dead? "Wait... No, she would have shattered into pieces of data if that were the case." Sey thought to himself, bringing logic and semantics onto the fray now. Perhaps knocked out though, that was still a possibility. In this cold weather, that was not quite the best scenario to be in. Even if she were not in any negative state, lying down on the ground was not the best idea. So he'd approach her calmly, walking through the snow as he made his way over to her. His spear still equipped in case he needed to fend for his life. Anything was possible in the game. Once he got to where she was, he'd then address there. "Hey there, are you okay down there?" Hakai 0 Posted November 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Hakai glanced up at the player who had just walked up to her, giving him a little bit of a smile. "I would hope so." She said, glancing him over. She couldn't guess his level just by looking at him, but she felt confident that she was safe, even though she could clearly see that he had a spear equipped she gripped her katana's handle before jumping to her feet. "Whats up? You looking for someone?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and putting her weight on one leg as though she hadn't a care in the world. And the truth was pretty close to that. She didn't have much care for anything other than escape and fun. She looked away from him and out into the distance, wondering absentmindedly what she was going to eat for dinner. Sushi sounded good... She looked back to the player, having completely spaced out. If he had said anything at all in that short time she had more than likely missed it. "Did you say something?" Sey 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted November 21, 2016 The smile she returned to him with eased his nerves a bit, but he would like to keep his spear close to his body in case he ended up getting some form of unexpected attack all of a sudden. Preparation was never too much when it came to strangers. However, she seemed to be able to speak. And her condition was about decent as well, so she was most likely just lying down on the ground. "All right, just checking. Sorry about that." He'd reply to her, scratching the back of his head for being so random. Fortunately, she seemed to ask a question in turn, bringing attention off the previous one he made. "Eh, not someone. Something." He'd reply before looking over to the Frostbite Lake, a half smile equipped now as he felt himself relaxing in it's presence, grip on weapon loosening. Of course, this relaxation would then be replied to with a sudden "Did you say something"... So she missed his answer somehow. It was fine, he probably should go into detail. "Nah, I was not looking for anyone. I wanted to find this lake right here, I like exploration you see." He'd then tilt his head. "If I may ask, what were you doing on the freezing winter sheet?" Hakai 0 Posted November 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2016 "Pretty hard to miss, isn't it?" She said jokingly as she motioned to the expanse of frozen water. "Exploration. Thats interesting. Are you one of those scout builds thats been popping up?" She asked before continuing on to answer his question. She didn't have much purpose for being in this area, so she wasn't entirely sure how to answer him. "I suppose I was just wandering around and fighting when I decided to do some reading. The stillness and silence of this area is beautiful in its own way." She stated, looking around once more. She wondered why he wanted to know what she was doing there. If he hadn't already said that he wasn't looking for someone she would have thought that he had planned to meet up with someone here. She smirked as a sudden thought occurred to her. "Is it really exploration if it's already been discovered? You already knew about this place, and so does anyone that asks around a bit. Dont you want to discover new places?" Sey 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted November 21, 2016 "Scout build? Eh, nah. I just appreciate new sights." He'd reply in turn, technically answering the question, but not revealing his more... Unique build per say. Unfortunately, he could not quite redirect that question back towards her direction. She would explain the she was just fighting, reading, laying down on the snows freeing climates, the usual stuff. Still, it was not in his place to question it further, she was a stranger after all. So he'll have to take it with a bit more than a grain of salt, there was no reason to be suspicious, considering lying down is not quite potent to harming anyone. So of course, she decides to take his own reply further and question it. "I wanted to see it for myself. I'm... Newer let's say." It was only then when he realized that a smirk had been equipped. It took a while, but it was definitely noticed now. On top of that, she asked him if he wanted to explore new places, which... Was what he wanted, but how was he to do that if he tried and it had been claimed? "I mean, sure? What are you getting at?"
Hakai 0 Posted November 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 21, 2016 She raised an eyebrow. "I mean exactly what I said. You'll never discover new places if you go to the old ones, even if you've never seen them. Take some risks and go places no one else has been." She said. "Unless of course you'd rather just keep staying behind everyone else. You want to see something cool that I discovered on this floor?" She asked, already expecting the no. He seemed like the sort to play it safe, although, granted, he was out here alone. She was a bit bored and she felt like doing something, even if it was just showing... She hadn't gotten his name yet. "I'm Hakai. Whats your name?" She asked, wondering if he'd already told it to her while she'd been spacing out. She should have grabbed a cup of coffee before heading out here, she was too tired to really pay attention to anything for more than a short while. She had made the trek to the monument of life just the day before. She had felt obligated to pay homage to the crossed out name of her wife and had spent the rest of the day and part of the night thinking about the new object of her interest, Beatbox. She couldn't get his name out of her head after reading 'player-killed by Beatbox'. Now that was someone with a backbone.
Sey 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Well, yes. While the words were about as blunt as a knife is sharp, risks were indeed something he needed to take. Hence why he even bothered getting out of the safe zones constantly in search of new sights to his eyes. It did not matter to him if others know of them, because he himself has yet to see it. Therefore, it was new to him. To add a bit more weight to her words, she'd then not that if he did not take any higher risks than this, he was never going to catch up. Not a single bit of her words are filtered, but his emotions were never swayed so easily. "Enlighten me. You have my attention." He would reply in turn to her. An intriguing person, not as friendly as many of the players that he had met before, but at least she was being real with him. However, their conversation would take a sudden shift as she would abruptly give him her username. He'd place his free hand in his pocket, tilting his head to the side. "Are you always this trusting with strangers?" But he himself would concede. "My name is Sey. Nice to meet ya."
Hakai 0 Posted November 21, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 21, 2016 "Im not trusting, just not fearful." She stated, wondering why he would think it was dangerous to share a username. He was a weird one, although that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. "I guess its nice to meet you, i wont really know until this encounter is over. Follow me." She stated, starting to walk into the woods that bordered the frozen lake. She didn't know exactly what it was that he like exploring for, but if he just liked finding cool new places then he would probably like where she was taking him. She turned her head to the side and called over her shoulder. "You can come or not. Just know that if I was going to hurt you I would have done it already." She stated before turning back around to face into the woods and away from him. She doubted that he would come, just because of his comment about her being trusting when shed simply given her username. Either way she wasn't sticking around at the lake. If he didn't come at least she could be alone.
Sey 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Great, seems like they were able to understand what terms they were on now. As long as his spear was in his grip, he felt the security of a nursery in his presence. She would make her way towards the woods, nothing too unfamiliar, so he had no doubts when being lead towards that location. A sudden offer was placed, telling him if he wanted to come or not, she would have hurt him if she really wanted to bring harm his way. Well, yes. He did want to come, which is why he even bothered to say it in the first place. "Er... Yeah." The player would reply in turn, not really looking to make a big deal about it. What much could he say? So he'd continue to follow the lady, seeing what there was to know about her place that was supposed to impress him. Was it really a place that had not been discovered before? If so, why would she not bring it up to the public? Eh, not that it really mattered much anyways, considering he only cared about his own eyes seeing things.
Hakai 0 Posted November 22, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Hakai frowned. He didn't seem very enthusiastic about this whole thing, and to tell the truth she was starting to lose interest in him. His whole exploration thing was interesting at first, but it got old fast. There just wasnt enough action or excitement in this whole affair, Still, she continued to lead him into the woods. Eventually they came to a large frozen waterfall that looked as though it had been frozen in mid flow. She walked up to it and slipped through the area between the ice, motioning him to follow her. It was dark on the inside, so she took a torch from her inventory and lit it so that he could see the gigantic cavern on the inside. "Tadaa, a cool place that most people dont know about. I suppose that if I ever became a payer killer I'd stay here or something." She said, motioning around the place. If she could build a place on a floor lower than floor ten, this is where she would do it.
Sey 0 Posted November 22, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Eventually, he would be lead to a new sight that had yet to be witnessed by his own eyes. It was... A frozen waterfall? Now THAT was something else he might enjoy. His violet eyes would raise as he saw it in front of him. Whoa... The water reflected the light so beautifully, almost as if they were crystals. The words that she told him before seemed like nothing compared to this sight. This is so dope! The snowy-haired player would declare as he walked around, seeing the waterfall at a few angles before he would be lead through the waterfall. So a sudden torch would reveal itself in her grip, making him flinch back a little bit from the flames, careful not to get himself burned. The shunned darkness revealed a cavern inside of the area they were in. Now he was hyped, his gaze softening as if that of a child. It's so nice and sheltered! All right rock as well as being concealed by the waterfall, how did yo- He stopped himself from asking that stupid question. It was not in his best interest to squeeze out her secrets. Instead, he'd look deeper towards the cave and begin to make his way towards the direction. At this point, he was even willing to disregard her player killer comment. While blunt, she did not seem like the type to kill without reason. Now whether or not she had a reason was her business, but at least he knew he would not be a target. After showing him such a place, why would he do anything to her? "Is there an exit through the other side? I want to know what might be at the end or other side!" He was slowly softening his tensions, showing a brighter side. Exploration had his interests for sure.
