Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) It did not seem like much at first, but the enemy was slowly getting better and better. The hits were getting faster, and soon, thety were eventually beginning to build up. Sure, it would take quite a long while before it would actually be able to kill him, but it was definitely trying. And the energy was not going to go down since it did not exist in the first place. So the player was just left there to take the hits all of a sudden when they did not seem to be coming in the first place. This was exactly Sey's case. The critical hit would appear as he took another hit to the chest, sliding back against the ground a little bit before locking his feet in place, clenching his teeth in a bit of pain. It felt like a small cut was on his body now, the hits were finally beginning to add up. Without his armor, who knew what kind of trouble he'd be in? Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #22 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) All right, now the real snow haired player was ready to make his move. He felt rested enough, and now was time to exchange a bit more damage with the clone. So he'd activate maiming blow once again, coating the end of his spear with light blue light before rushing over to the near enemy. He was going to take the reckless path. Eye for an eye, see which one can inflict the most damage. The NPC took the bait and struck him on the chest again, only to be knocked to the ground when the metal blade of the real Sey's weapon slammed against it. They both did their damage calculation, and once again, one of them had the leverage. The battle was definitely sealed. A few more good hits, one to three if Sey had to guess, would be able to finish off the battle and take everything that this weird enemy owned. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) And because he made the risky move of using a Sword Art again, he was a bit lower on energy once again. But he did not care too much, he felt free whenever he struck that hard against something. Does that mean he was going to do it again? Eventually. But not currently. Instead, he would rather just wait for the right moment to strike when he had a bit more energy. In the meantime, he would slash once again recklessly, but successfully as he knocked the enemy back once again. This brought him much satisfaction, the duel was nearly over and he was about to beat it. This was not murder to him, since it was not real. Seems like he has that question solved. As long as it was not real, it had less value? Perhaps there was a moral missing or two. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #24 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) He felt merciless and powerful against his oppressor as he continued to rain down slashes onto the wounded enemy that was on the ground, trying to block the blows from above it seems, but to no avail. Energy seemed like nothing to waste now, since he continued to press further and further. Despite this, he knew that there was plenty of time to use his skill later, and would just continue to press the barrage onto the helpless NPC enemy. Eventually, it would then move out of his way to prevent any more hits from occurring. One of the Sey's looked ready to finish the battle. The other one looked like they wished the battle would end. The mind games were about over, and the original might spare him if he could. But reality said he could not, the total loss duel rules says so. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #25 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) The clone still refused to give in it seemed considering how it then decided to make a break for it once again and try to slice him on the chest once again. However, to no avail of course as it would end up taking another hit from the original, who using Maiming blow in the process to prevent anything from going much further. "This battle is almost over." He'd tell himself, noticing that he was now growing tired. So instead of finishing off the fight, he would move away from it to prevent anything else from happening at that moment. So with that, he would then place his spear backup, resting a bit unless he saw a chance. He kept on telling himself to keep on moving forward and he would obtain the successful result that he needed. This was going to happen regardless, just as long as he even bothered to put the energy. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) What does it take to put an enemy to rest though? the copy had low health, yet it did not seem to mind taking the damage over and over again. It would just instead act like it never existed and move at the same annoying speed that it did in the first place. So with that, it would actually end up striking him one more time, as if to leave a message. It was going to die, the copy full well knew that it was the truth. Sey was unable to stop the hit with the shock value, not even knowing it could even run at the speed it did anymore. But it full well did, and that was all that mattered. So that was it. Placing his body back, he would regain a little bit of energy. Now he just needed to wait for the right moment to strike and this will all be over very quickly, so he can obtain prizes. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) They were both at a draw point right now, neither of them making a move. One of them just wanted to know what the other would do, and the other was scared that if they made one reckless move, they would no longer have a place to live. Can one tell which one was which? It was going to be a tough ride to endure, sure. But the mental stress had to break one of them down, right? They stood still though, relying on their patience to force the other one to move. As if they were actually different people. They acted different to the point where they see each other very differently, despite having the same exact looks in the process. the original Sey wanted to prove a point and live, that was all. Had the NPC not been there to bother him, things might have been a whole lot more different. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) The enemy would rush all of a sudden, eventually breaking down. The personalities were most certainly different, they were not the same at all. looks could mean so much, but that was about it. With that, Sey would dodge the attacks narrowly, they seemed to be clumsy, but desperate. A constant barrage made in an attempt to end his life. But not a single strike was able to land on him, not a single amount of HP was dropped from what he had. However, he did not want to counter, for he knew that it would not work out too well. It was when he attacked recklessly is when he would take a hit from the enemy. So he would refrain unless he knew he could finish off his opponent. Once that was out of the way, he would end up moving back, looking for the opening he wanted. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Despite wanting to end the fight, there was nothing that was telling him to go for it. He could only narrowly avoid the attacks of the clone and continue to move away, waiting for his chance to strike if it ever even showed up. It looked ready to defend from all angles, not letting a single thing go by it. It was an annoying enemy. They say that the most dangerous animal is the one that is hurt. Sey did not know if that was true or not, but if it was, this would most certainly be a prime example of that being absolutely true. Stepping away from the enemy that was chasing him, he would continue to look around to see when the enemy made a mistake in the perfect-seeming steps. Once they did, he was going all in with the spear, he was ready to put it down. Sey 0 Posted December 9, 2016 Author #30 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) And he finally found it! It was narrow, it was risky, but it was still the opening that he needed to use to close the battle off. Coating his spear with blue light once more, he would end up aiming to use the maiming blow towards the legs of the opponent. they struck as well, since it was another eye for an eye, but they built themselves up to be far too reckless with their moves. Therefore, they both took damage. Another comparison though. One of them would end up falling over to the other, and the original would have would the battle in the end. There was only one Sey. Does that mean anything? Not yet. But he was going to make something of that in the future, he full-well knew that it was worth it. If these trials were in the way, something huge was probably waiting for him for the future.
