Dominion walked over to reobtain his great axe that had clattered on the ground. He reached down and picked up the massive double headed great axe. Dominion turned to face the boar, which by this time was no longer rendered helpless. That boar began to charge him again, but this time it fueled more hate on him. He brought the great axe above his head, but he came to a sudden realization that he wouldn't have time to bring it down and dodge the oncoming attack at the same time. Dominion tried to move to the side of the rushing bull, but its snout just barely made contact to his lower thigh. Pain flexed through Dominion's leg, but suddenly he felt mostly restored of health. He grabbed the axe with a tighter grip and brought the hilt down on the boars head. This made the boar move back, startled. "Alright, now it is more safe for you to attack the Boar." Dominion said these words carefully, since hebad to maintain the hate generation he was making.

The second bout between Dominion and the boar was a little less one sided this time. Ignavus kept his allies hp bar in his peripherals as he watched the boar gore Dominion, the health dipped a bit but seemed to recover quickly. Dominon was a higher level than Ignavus so he suspected that Dominion healed quicker than he would. As Dominion struck back Ignavus was already dropping into position ready to strike the beast. Knees bending in preparation, Ignavus could feel the muscles in his back tense as his fingers tightened around the blades haft. As Dominion called out telling them to attack Ignavus ran up behind the boar as quickly as he could, Ignavus stopped just outside of his swords reach from the boar. Ignavus bent his knees again, hefting up the sword to prepare for the strike, blue light began to shine from the large two handed blade and a strange feeling washed over him. As if his body were on autopilot, then he sprung forward swinging the sword in arc to try and cut the boar. The strange sensation of the Sword Art activating had thrown off Ignavus's momentum and the cut went high swinging cleanly over the boar.

After his teammate attacked the boar, it became Kazu's turn. He braced himself before pursuing into battle. He tightly grasped his rapier and looked at the multiple health bars in his peripheral vision. Dominion seemed to be keeping up very well, even after his numerous attacks to the boar. Kazu readied himself to fight the boar and belatedly charged towards it. His rapier missed the side of the monster's body and his weapon flew through the air. Kazu was disappointed, as he previously had a lot of confidence in defeating the beast. This was his first battle in SAO, so he knew that he had time to improve. Kazu grabbed his rapier and stepped back, waiting for his teammate to strike. Even with his unexpected failure, Kazu was still having a good time. He knew that the fight would be a difficult one. The boar seemed to be stronger than he had previously expected.

Dominion had lost sight of the boar's current location. He moved his eyes left and right to try to find it, when he saw it break a run past Kazu. Dominion was not prepared for the attack by any means, getting crushed directly in his stomach. He was knocked several feet back onto his back. Dominion smiled, as that was a mighty fine attack from the boar. He flipped himself onto his feet and charged the boar himself. He jumped into the air, spinning his great axe between both hands. Suddenly the great axe was swung violently down upon the boar, which had just made a successful hit against him. The strength of the attack smashed the head of the boar into the ground, but did hardly any damage to the health bar. "That boar made a fine charge that time. Even so, I definitely have enough hate, so strike with your hearts desire." Dominion said to his fellow group members.

"This is trickier than I expected", Ignavus stated as he turned back towards the boar. It was a good things he had allies, missing that strike would have left him wide open and he definitely would have regretted it. Ignavus watched as Kazu lurched forward stabbing recklessly, and missing horribly. Ignavus couldn't help but wonder if he had looked so foolish when his swing went high. Shrugging simply, Ignavus decided it didn't matter, making his way back towards the battle sword held tightly in hand.

"Don't have to tell me twice", Ignavus called out in response to Dominon's instruction. Rolling his shoulders as if to limber up Ignavus adjusted his grip on the blade before charging back towards the battle. A heavy strike aimed at the boars shoulder, intended to cut deeply through it's flank. The boar saw him coming and Ignavus saw it snort as he approached aware of the danger that he might pose.

Kazu watched as both his teammates attempted to strike the boar. Dominion successfully attacked the mob, but that didn't stop it from fighting back. He was able to quickly recover from the harsh blow, only losing a very small portion of his health overall. Ignavus missed his attack, and fortunately he was unaffected by the boar. It was now Kazu's turn. He gripped his rapier and prepared to charge towards the mob. After failing on his last attempt to attack the mob, Kazu was sure that he could injure it this time. He swiftly ran to the boar as his rapier ready to puncture the mob. The sword struck the boar, and a slight decrease in the mob's health proved that Kazu had successfully damaged it. He felt great relief when he discovered the attack was triumphant. His first successful attack had just taken place, and he expected many more of them to come.

Dominion heard Ignavus saw, "you don't have to tell me twice", but then somehow managed to move in a way to be noticed. Dominion put his great axe in his left hand and used his right to strike the boar in the side with his fist, just enough to make the boar off balance. Dominion stepped back slightly knowing that he generated enough hate to keep the boar on him and him alone. Dominion was half debating walking around aimlessly, but he knew that he might attract the attention of too many boars. He just moved back those few feet and halted. He looked up at his own health bar to see it return back to full. "Gotta love the battle healing skill. It has been so useful thus far" Dominion called out towards Ignavus and Kazu. Dominion waited and watched his groups moves from a few steps back while holding his great axe in his left hand.

Ignavus couldn't believed he had missed again, it's not like he had any real training with a European style blade but it shouldn't be so hard just to hit a stupid boar. Taking a deep breath trying to calm himself, Ignavus tried to calm down, failing to hit anything but air two consecutive times was starting to get his blood boiling. Frustration would just cause his failures to multiply, Ignavus rolled his shoulders again and cracked his neck audibly. Ignavus fixed his eyes on the boar and tightened his grip on the blade, the beast stomped it's foot and snorted, he couldn't help but feel that the it was taunting him. Taking another deep breath and releasing it as a sigh Ignavus closed his eyes briefly, the boar was just a mob, it's AI probably didn't have enough computational power to posses any kind of emotion. Opening his eyes Ignavus could feel some of the tension release from his back and he squared his sights on the boar. Waiting just a brief moment he saw an opening and charged in blade ready, as he neared he heaved the blade and swung it in a vicious downward arc aimed squarely at the boar's rump. The blade cut deeply into the boar eliciting a pained squeal as it scampered away from him.

It was now Kazu's turn to strike the boar. Both of his teammates had successfully hit the mob, and Ignavus managed to obtain a critical hit. Dominion's Battle Healing skill proved to be very useful, as he was already back at full health. Kazu braced himself once more and got into position for combat. He took a deep breath and took off towards the mob. Charging in for a quick blow, he pierced the side of the boar. Kazu's second successful attack had taken effect and marginally damaged the mob. Glaring at the boar's health bar, Kazu noticed they still weren't even halfway done fighting it. It was inevitable that the fight would last a while longer. He mentally congratulated himself for his prosperous attack and looked back at the mob. It's eyes were glowing red, ready to seek revenge for the substantial amount of damage it has been victim of.

Dominion noticed that both his teammates landed successful hits, which made him remember his first time fighting on the first floor. It was not very long ago, but long enough. He decided he would make an easy strike to the head of the boar with his giant great axe. He placed the long hilt of the axe in both hands, his right hand slightly higher up to maintain control. He charged to the place where the boar had scampered and brought the axe against the... Well actually he had flipped the axe the wrong way, so the hilt was all that hit the boar with the double blade beneath his let hand. However, even when Dominion failed to use his weapon correctly, he still managed to make a Critical Success. The health bar above the boar lit up with the words Critical Success, and Dominion almost fell backwards. But instead of him, the boar actually fell to the side, almost as if Dominion had paralyzed it somehow. Dominion was absolutely lost for words...

"How much health does this thing even have?" Ignavus shouted out to his party members. The question was mostly directed at Dominion as he was the most experienced player here. It seemed like they had hardly dealt any damage to the beast, Ignavus remembered watching a video once of someone take out a boar with a knife. It had been one hell of a battle from the cameraman's point of view, Ignavus doubted fighting a real boar would be this hard, at least not with these kinds of weapons. Ignavus realized he had been spacing out a little bit, it was a good thing that Dominion was actively drawing the boars attention, otherwise it was likely that Ignavus would have been gored. Looking up Ignavus saw the boar stiffen and then fall sideways, almost as if in slow motion, Ignavus's eyes widened at the site.

 

"That was awesome. How'd you manage that?" Ignavus asked Dominon before charging forward at the fallen boar. Hefting the blade high Ignavus brought the heavy sword downward in a powerful two handed slash. The blade bit deeply into the boar's gut the beast was so paralyzed it couldn't even squeal out in pain. Ignavus jumped back as the strike finished trying to get a little distance so as not to be in the way of another's strike.

The fight was taking quite some time. Dominion prepared his axe to attack, but clumsily hit the boar. His axe was gripped incorrectly and the boar was hit with an odd part of the weapon. Surprisingly, he was still able to achieve a Critical Success. The boar fell onto the grass insensibly and was unable to move. Kazu was surprised to discover that players were capable of paralyzing mobs.

"Wow. Nice job!" said Kazu.

The mob's lackluster body lied almost lifelessly on the colossal green fields. Ignavus successfully attacked the boar, and next came Kazu. He knew that the strike would be easy. The mob was paralyzed, after all! He effortlessness launched himself towards the boar to attack, but his rapier flew straight above the stiff body. Kazu landed on his feet, bearing a face of disappointment. He must have gotten too comfortable with the paralyzed state of the mob.

Dominion saw the boar's leg twitch as Kazu landed a hit into the ground beside the boar. Dominion gripped his great axe correctly with both hands, not quite moving yet. He was not entirely sure if the boar had planned for them to lose their guard, but it was clear the boar was still able to move. Dominion suddenly rushed over on the off chance that the boar would change targets. However as he approached the reclined boar, Dominion realized that the boar must want him to come over to it. Dominion tried to stop his movement, but inertia was still moving his body forward. He was just slightly in reach of the boar, which had somehow gotten back up. He brought his great axe above his head, but but the boar got beneath him before he could bring the axe back down. Pixilated blood sprinkled down from his abdomen, covering the ground before dissipating into the air. He breathed in as he felt the pain, bringing the bottom of the hilt down on the boar's head. This gave him just enough time to take a step back and recompose himself. His health bar was still fine, as battle healing restitched his wounds.

"Stay focused Kazu, I don't wanna have to fight this thing all day", Ignavus called out to his ally after watching the thin rapier shoot over the mob's collapsed body. Not like he had much room to talk after missing his first two attacks, granted Ignavus was pretty sure he had managed to deal more damage than Kazu at the very least. This boar was still more alive than dead though and Ignavus was wondering how tough this thing was, seemed like the beast was way more powerful than any starting mob should be. As the boar buried it's face into Dominon's gut Ignavus flinched instinctively.

"Bet you are glad there is no pain in this or you probably wouldn't be able to move much right now", Ignavus half-joked to Dominion before charging forward blade at the ready. The large double-edged blade glinted in the simulated sunlight as Ignavus ran towards his porcine enemy. The blade sank into the beasts flank with a satisfying spray of pixels vanishing into the air.

Kazu watched as the boar began to restore it's movement. The mob gradually stood itself back up, while Dominion was only now about to attack. He was still able to hit the boar, but that didn't stop it from fighting back. As Dominion recovered from the blow, Ignavus charged in and successfully attacked the boar. After Ignavus reminded Kazu to stay focused, he charged readily towards the boar. When Kazu reached the mob, he dug his trusty rapier deep into the beast. The sword severely pierced the skin of the boar as it let out a loud, painful scream. Kazu pulled the sword out of the boar's body and jumped back. He had just achieved a Critical Success, which was able to damage the mob much more than a normal attack. The mob's expression looked surprised, as if it was not prepared for the sudden impactful attack. He wondered if the mob's increasing anger towards each teammate would cause it to soon change targets.

Dominion held his side with his hand as he watched his team hit the boar, each doing a fine job. Dominion said nothing as he held the giant great axe in his hand. He let go of his side and he struck out at the boar with both hands gripped on the hilt. He saw the Critical Success arise from the boar's health bar as the double bladed head sliced through the skin hide of side of the boar. After making a successful hit on the boar, Dominion backed up. He intended to dodge the boar's next attack. Dominion shifted his body weight to the left side, with the plan that the boar would make it's next attack more on the right side. The boar had gotten rather angry and charged again at Dominion, targeting his right side. Dominion gambled correctly Well, this is good. Dominion managed to dodge the boar entirely and pivot his body on his left leg, to face the boar the entire time.
