[F20-SP] The Labyrinth of JANGLE<Scouting the 20th floor Labyrinth>

Recommended Posts

Quickly finding a small group of spiny leaves, Macradon would look down at Balthazar and the two partners would nod. They both agreed, Macradon would try, hoping that he would be able to get this encounter down as fast as possible. Readying the Scarecrow’s Sickle, Macradon would rush forward, quickly advancing with his <Charge> skill and would engage with his <Calamity Disaster>. Having his curved two handed sword cleave right through the monsters like butter would startle them, making them unable to react fully, making futile attacks at Macradon, missing him by a landslide. Quickly getting ready to throw off another sword art to finish off this group, Macradon would face the might he had in himself and would follow Balthazar’s guidance, they would stay together, unlike what happened with Den’Um’Eal, he missed that chameleon. Balthazar and Macradon would be great pals and learn each other more thoroughly so they could adapt their style of combat together. Balthazar picking out all the weak points there were to strike and Macradon would execute the deadly attacks.

Quickly going in with another attack before they would be able to do him any harm, Macradon would show them what real ferocity meant as he would bash the monsters in the head with his sword’s pommel. A pommel strike so hard it would let out a sonic wave of energy, reaching out to the other monsters in their small clique. The four monsters would be left paralyzed in pure cringe. The smash so hard that they didn’t want to get near the force that was Macradon. Trembling in fear, Macradon would prepare a last attack to wipe them out. He would ready himself and his sword for the final blow, getting ready to finish it all and get through this labyrinth. Map fragment were what was needed to actually navigate through the hell this labyrinth would lead anyone willing to sacrifice their own soul for the greater good … though that sacrifice would be for nothing either way.

Taking the same stance as before, Macradon would get into position as his whole sword would begin to glow in a dim light, then beginning to increase in brightness rapidly as the Sword Art system would initiate with the guidance of Cardinal. His sword would swing with the pommel being the focus point of all the damage. The straight spiked handle would pack a punch even if it wasn’t as hefty as other swords that would be of any danger. Firmly gripping the blade with both of his hands, Macradon would execute what would be known in German Fencing as the “murder stroke”. Using the butt of his sword as a bludgeon. The bashful attacks would once again spread the pain like they could feel from sight how hard that attack was. Macradon would just smile in glee that he had defeated the vile monsters and was now able to take a rest for then to find another group to fight.

He would quickly collapse down into a legged position and meditate. He had not much time to finish this, he had to get it done, quickly. Hours were ticking by as Macradon had been out in this Labyrinth since dawn, and he was only barely half way through it. Gritting his teeth, Macradon would shun himself. “I need to get stronger, I need to get … more reliable” he thought for himself. Balthazar would slowly approach his partner and would exhale a small screech to notify Macradon. “Hey, Bal” he would say down to his companion. He would smile at one of his current closest friends, even though he had people friends, Bal was still the one he counted on the most, the one that would tell how to finish a fight quicker and how to survive blows, Balthazar was his most useful buddy there were to be. He would pet the small owlbear a few times.

Deep breaths, in and out, in and out. Slowly getting his breath again after consecutive combats that would be much harder than boss raids, at least for his health and longevity. Monsters in groups were much stronger than than a single boss that he would just stun or throw whatever he could at it. Now really knowing much of what was happening, Macradon would just sit and meditate, welcoming Balthazar to take a sit in his lap as the two would collect their thoughts, together. They would synchronize their breaths, making sure they would keep calm and steady, getting warm and ready for the upcoming battles they would face to possibly find a map fragment so they could all go find the boss and clear this floor, finally. So close yet so far from where they wanted to be. He would just shake the angry thought out of his head and stay calm with his companion.

Giving the small owlbear a small petting, Macradon would begin to stand back up again as Balthazar would leap out of his lap. Together they would go out and begin to track some Spiny Leaves together and get them slain quickly, as soon as possible. The quicker they would get on with it the quicker they could clear the floor. Lots of rumors from the brokers had been circulating and no one knew which were the correct, the amount of mobs you had to slay, the amount of fragments you would get per search and so on, it was really … weird. Letting out a sigh that would lightly go through the air as he exhaled. He would look back up and insert “Spiny Leaf” into the tracking HUD as small footsteps would appear on the ground, slightly glowing in a dim light that would lead him to another group. “Let’s go, Bal” he would say as he would begin to walk after the clues.

Following the path of the footprints, Macradon would go through corridors he had already been at before and would search through as the footsteps would just go on and on, quickly collecting together into clusters of footprints, which did make sense since they had, what, 6 legs each? They were usually in groups of 4, so 6 times 4 is 24 legs in total, and all those legs could easily make clusters of footprints. After a minute or two of walking, the corridors would lead to an open room with 4 Spiny Leaf monsters scattered around the room. Quickly getting ready, Macradon would nod at Balthazar, as they both knew where to strike and when to dodge, so no dialogue would be had as Macradon would just <Charge> straight into the group and unleash a <Calamity Disaster> sword art at the monsters, cleaving them down to nearly half health already.

Macradon’s immense brute strength and ruthless savagery would be overcoming the Spiny Leaves, making them stagger from the blow itself rather than from a stun or paralyze sword art. His attacks filled with such ferocity that they would not be able to stand and parry it, nor capable of just taking it and keep their ground. Each blow would be stronger than the former, the sweeps wider and more ferocious than ever. Macradon really wanted this to be over, and he wanted it to be over now. He had used up so much time on all of this, and he had had it with all of this repeated killing of monsters, it was getting tedious. He would not waste a single second before he would unleash yet another flurry of blows with the same sword art from before, <Calamity Disaster>. The six heavy cleaves that would cleave deeply into the monsters, leaving them nearly dead.

Quickly going from one attack to the other, Macradon would get his <Fight Blade> sword art ready to finally obliterate these monsters and finish them off, giving him time to find one last group he could take out within time of the sunlight. He would make a quick sidestep and a slight pirouette to get out from the monsters’ range and quickly raise his sword up over his right shoulder as it would begin to glow in a dim light. He would rush forward and slam his pommel into the heads of one of the Spiny Leaves, striking so hard that a shock wave would go through it and hit the others in the process. A hit so hard that the shock wave would ripple through the air twice, taking out the monsters with pure blunt force. He would laugh lightly as he looked over at Balthazar, “Let’s go find the last group” he said to his partner as they both nodded in unison.

What/Who would you like to track?

                Spiny Leaf

Back to the track, literally in two ways. Back to the track is in back on the way to find the map fragment, as well as back to the track with tracking. A funny wordplay used to fill out more words for this post. Macradon would insert the name once again, Spiny Leaf, to find trails of where the next room of monsters could be and luckily for him and Balthazar, it did not take long before they came to a room that was open for them to enter and slay monsters, but weirdly enough they would be met by not 4, but 3. Not pondering too much about this, Macradon would ready himself, going into an Ochs guard with his wide legs and heightened sword above his head. Looking at the monsters, Macradon would just need to take them down before fragments of a map would be unleashed for him.

Without hesitation, Macradon would charge right in for an attack, hopefully taking them out as he wanted to from the beginning, but it didn’t seem like that would be possible, he would have to unleash multiple attacks if he were to really take them down. Annoyed by this, Macradon would clench his fists around the grip of his sword firmly, making sure that his attacks would be overwhelming with so much strength that he would be able to really do some damage. As he rushed in with his <Charge> skill, his curved sword would glow and unleash the <Calamity Disaster> sword art and deal quite the damage to the monsters as well as keep the 6 red open wounds on them, making them stay and bleed. Macradon would take this to his advantage and would go for another attack, hopefully this would take them down as his Energy was getting low again.

He had not much time before these tougher Spiny Leaves would retaliate upon him. They were strong, very strong, and it irritated him a lot. They were not blown away by his extreme force, they were rather … lightly staggered as their counterattack upon him was way too strong for him to really do anything about it. 3 talons would drive through him, leaving him at a place of fear once again, he had been close to death’s door today, and he didn’t want it to happen twice, it would be too risky. Really grasping unto his sword, he would throw yet another attack with <Calamity Disaster> at these monsters, leaving them bruised and dying at the hands of Macradon. They weren’t dead yet, but their wounds were still bleeding, he would keep the bleeding at his advantage and let them bleed out and try to trigger another bleed or maybe just take them out entirely.

Having had enough of this, Macradon would quickly get his sword up and finish this off as he usually did, with a murder stroke, as the Germans called it. He would get his sword over his right shoulder again as it would begin to glow. He would execute the <Fight Blade> sword art and pommel the closest monster in the head with his sword, bashing so hard that a shock wave would be generated and ripple through the air twice, dealing massive damage to the Spiny Leafs. They would finally scatter into pixels and crystals, leaving only their loot behind. The reward for his work would be handed to him through an NPC window. He received a single Map Fragment that would help him and the rest of the frontliner to find the boss room and finish this floor with a vanguard strike at the boss, finally clearing Floor 20. Both Balthazar and Macradon would walk out of the labyrinth in glee with smile adorned upon their faces.
