But soon he only saw her health tick down a few clicks, and he was confused. Then he was blown away from her armor giving off a red-radiating aura around it, and he grit his teeth. Her new armor was much stronger than she had used, or else the bandits would have been dead by now. He grit his teeth. He knew that she was holding back something, but he knew that she had her reasons, as much as he hated it. He gave a sigh and stood as she went for a punch. He rolled away as she screamed in frustration, and he gave a small breath and awaited to see what would happen. He knew that if this girl hit him, that it would probably hurt a lot more than it did the bandits, as far as he could tell from how the fight had gone so far. Hikoru 0 Posted March 12, 2017 Author #22 Report Share Posted March 12, 2017 Hikoru moved quickly as she lost her footing for a moment, and hastily ran at her, moving to the side as she threw a punch and his Sword Art attacking once more. She soon fell, and two familiar icons appeared next to her name. He backed away, but was still struck by the bursting red aura around her, and he took another small hit to his health. He stood again and brushed off what damage he had taken. He knew that he could easily ht her now, and the small DoT damage would finish off what little health he would need to do to finish off the duel. He gave a smile and a small sigh. He had done it, and without taking that much damage. She had never laid a hand on him, and this fight easily. She looked up to Hikoru, grit teeth in determination as she tried to move, but she couldn't defeat the paralysis and gave up. She had lost this battle, but she had done her best to avenge her brother, and she had his ring to give back to Ali, which would hopefully help her brother's drinking problem at long last. This was not the way he wanted to end the fight, not by any means.He wanted a fair fight, and he knew that he should let her stand and fight for herself. After a few moments, the paralysis wore off and she stood slowly, and raised an eyebrow to the player. He gave a small sigh and crossed his arms, giving her a serious look. "You may see me as horrible, but I do have honor. I want a fair fight, and that's what i will give back." He said. The girl nodded slowly, the paralysis still affecting her slightly, and slowly lifted some balled fists. She looked at the player with hope. Maybe he wasn't that much of a monster after all. He had given her a chance to win, although the bit of damage he had been dealing was quite scary to her. She gave a sigh as the paralysis finally wore off, and she started to jump on the balls of her feet, ready to fight once more. He gave a small sigh as the announcement rang out high in the air that he was the victor. And he sat on the ground. Her armor gave off one last aura blast and he took some more damage, but after that everything was fine. The girl grit her teeth and punched the ground. She was frustrated that she didn't even land a hit on him. But she had the ring, and she wouldn't be giving it back. She sat down for a moment with the player, glaring at him for a few moments, until he gave a low sigh. "I'm sorry, but my level far superiors yours, but you did fight well. Your moves are impressive as well, I just have good reaction time, that's why you didn't hit me." He said kindly. The girl gave a blush then looks away. He had complimented her, not something she had expected. Hikoru opened his HUD while she wasn't looking, and switched his Pendant for Shadow's Eye, and prepared to search, as was the next thing for him to do on his Quest check list. He gave a smile, as it was way too easy to do. He opened his HUD once more, and replaced his Amulet back and felt his stats restore to their former numbers, and he looked at the girl. He cleared his throat and she looked up, a puzzled look on her face. He pointed towards the direction of the cave, and she stood and covered the setting sun from her eyes. She saw the cave, then gave a sad look "Thought it would be harder to find than that." She said kinda sadly "I mean, I couldn't find it myself, and here you come along and find it easily." Hikoru just gave a laugh and shook his head. The girl looked in confusion at him once more, and he just shook his hand in front of him "It's nothing it's nothing, I promise. Just remembered a joke a friend told me earlier today." He said, and the girl stared for a few more moments, then focused on the cave. "Well then, lets get moving." He didn't like the feeling that this cave had, but he knew that this was where he was needed, so he made his way, but cautiously. He purposefully took his time to give his energy bar time to re-fill, and even though it probably annoyed Morgiana to no end, he had to do it or else he would not be ready to fight whatever was going to be waiting for them. His health bar started to regenerate a bit as well, and it made it easier to feel calm about the situation. He would give the information of the boss to the info brokers after this, but for now he needed to learn what the quest was about first. "Come on! We need to hurry and get there!" Morgiana complained, wanting to run ahead and charge, but he shook his head and pointed to where they had come. "We weren't expecting those bandits. Who knows if there's more of them around that we need to watch out for? Going slow gives us time to plan and make sure that things are all clear before we do anything." Morgiana looked frustrated, but she understood where he was coming from. He was impressed by how much larger the hill was, and the cave as well, compared to what it looked like from afar. It was an enormous cave entrance, and he knew that it was probably the cave they were looking for, as it was the only one for miles around. He gave Morgiana a nod and started to crawl up the hill. She followed silently, knowing that he wanted to take this carefully. Hikoru peeked over the edge of the hill, and saw a large scorpion, and it's health was pretty high. He gave a sigh and backed away, quickly dotting it down on his notebook. Morgiana looked over his shoulder, then looked over the hill down to the scorpion. She suddenly felt a small chill down her spine. She had no idea if she would live this, so she would have to be careful if she wanted to survive this. "So what are we going to do?" She asked him. He finished his notes for now and looked back down once more, then saw a small pile of rocks nearby. He pointed to them, making sure that his arm didn't show over the hill and give away their position. "Okay, i'm going to be located over there. You stay here, and when I come out and attack the creature, you do the same." He said, and she nodded. Hikoru 0 Posted March 13, 2017 Author #28 Report Share Posted March 13, 2017 Hikoru breathed quietly as he closed his eyes, soon feeling himself starting to sink into the ground as his Unique Skill activated, soon disappearing into the shadows beneath him and appearing in the rock pile. He gave a small sigh and stood up, his head just peeking out over the top of it. He saw Morgiana looking for him, and he waved his hand. She saw it, and waved back quietly. He nodded and soon sank before the large creature could see him. He knew that he needed to play it safe and hit this thing when it least expected it. He waited awhile and studied it's pattern, and all he could note is that it was just like a basic mob, doing basic movements to somewhat look natural, and no openings that he could see. He unsheathed his dagger and prepared to send a Surprise Attack, and hoped that Morgiana was ready to attack as well. The large scorpion gave a roar, and Hikoru heard Morgiana coming to attack down the hill. She gave a battle cry as she went to hit, and soon she was about to attack when the scorpion reacted. He spun and dealt damage to both Hikoru and Morgiana. Hikoru was able to withstand the creatures assault, but he heard Morgiana scream, and looked to see that she had been knocked down by the AoE. He grit his teeth and looked. He could handle this thing on her own, and gave a small sigh. "I need you to get out of here, your health is far too low to be able to survive." He said. She gave a nod and stood slowly, preparing to back away and get out of the battle. Hikoru grit his teeth and prepared to fight. He knew that this wouldn't be easy, but he was ready for a challenge. He stretched a moment, cracking his knuckles and his neck, then gave a small and sly smile. "Let's dance big boy." He said as he gripped his dagger tightly, prepared to charge. The scorpion saw this however, and dodged his attack. It went for a stab with it's large tail. But before it could go for the attack, Morgiana appeared from nowhere and kicked the Scorpion right in it's head. It gave a sort of hiss, a cry of pain as it went to attack her instead of Hikoru. She nimbly dodged it as two icons appeared atop the head of the scorpion. A small stun icon, and a small fire, which indicated Burn damage. He looked at her gauntlets as they gave a small aura as she attacked, but soon a new indicator appeared above her head as well. "Why didn't you run away?" He asked her, and she just gave a grim smile "I promised my brother that I would find this place, and even if it means death, I will help you defeat this creature to the very end." Hikoru wanted to argue with her, but he knew that there was no point. She was dead set on helping to defeat this thing, and that wasn't anything that he could change. They both used what they could and it's health was brought down drastically in one blow. He gave her a smile and she smiled back. She seemed to be doing okay, but he knew that one hit and she would be in the red. But he didn't have to worry about that now, as soon the Paralysis icon came, as well as the bleed icon next to it. It was taking a ton of chip damage, and it was starting to help them out. He smiled again and nodded "Alright, let's do that again! It's almost down!" He said with a laugh. She nodded back and held up her fists, ready to fight this thing to the very end. Hikoru looked back at the creature, who's health had reached the yellow area. He knew that this thing was soon to be done for, and he had Morgiana to thank for that. He was glad that he had gotten the chance to make up for his sins, and he felt that a burden had been lifted off his shoulders. He gave a weak smile as he knew that he could easily defeat this thing, but he knew that he was still taking the risk of having Morgiana die. But she surprised him with her strength as she attacked the Boss with her strongest attack, dealing the last remaining chunk of damage and soon the beast pixelated into nothing. He backed away as the pixels cleared and soon the area was clear. Morgiana came over and handed him a potion. He looked at it's stats, and pocketed it for later. "For when we enter the cave." She said. He gave a nod, and soon the Quest Complete Icon appeared in front of him. He clicked accept and soon the cave opened up.
