[SP-F2] <<long live the queen>> What is a bee? [Complete]

Recommended Posts

Dominion lifted his left arm up, which he used just as equally in combat as his right, and struck the queen bee. It, being smashed up against the rock with little room to make an escape, tried to puncture Dominion again. However, this time Dominion didn't fall off balance. The stinger was right where it needed to be in order to hurt him. Luckily for him though, the Monkey King Armor took into affect. He was capable of quickly dodging the stinger. He did this by leaping into the air, lifting his legs up, and landing on the rock. quickly, he turned his body to face down at the bee and got into his crane stance. He lifted his arms to each side, giving him balance while he stood atop the rock. Lifting one leg, he quickly propelled his body from the rock and did a flip. There, he slammed his fist down upon the side of the bee, doing a fair amount of damage. Then, he got back up and took a half step back to prepare for any reaction the bee would potentially have.

Dominion was prepared for the next turn of events. As he took his step back, he saw that the bee had managed to flip itself onto the wrong side, its wings getting further into the dirt. Dominion was not about to let a chance to quicken the time of combat go to waste. He clenched his fists together, each at the respective hip. He lowered his body by a couple inches and then suddenly burst forward with his left leg back. He extended out both fists, one on top of the other, the inside of each wrist facing the other, and slammed it into the bee. The health bar dropped significantly, a bunch of the particles flying in each direction. Dominion retracted his torso to be standing up, his knees bent slightly as he moved back into this stance. He was ready for more combat to ensue. The bee became paralyzed from this attack, unable to move from it's awkward place on the ground. There was a small amount of dust that was picked up into the air, which was now beginning to settle around them.

As the dust from the beaten wings began to settle back on the earth, Dominion could see that the bee was frozen there. It stopped moving, no obvious sign of an attack. Even though it was pretty obvious that no combat would occur, Dominion was cautious. Dominion walked slowly up to the queen bee. He struck the bee with a decent punch, but it was as if it was made of a shell. He retracted his hand immediately, somewhat surprised by this. Apparently, his equipment would fail him at this moment. Dominion took a step backward, looking to both sides. There were obvious health bars appearing on all sides. He hoped that there would be no other mobs joining the battle, or it might become too difficult for him. So, in reaction to this, Dominion waited a few seconds. This allowed him to get into a stance, both good for combat and defensive dodging. However, there was never a guarantee on either, so in the long run he would be relying on luck.

The sudden movement from the bee was not something anyone could expect. Dominion was ready for combat, but not ready for the mass of the queen bee to pummel directly into him. The queen be had begun to violently beat it's wings and it directed that force right into Dominion. He was able to brace the attack of the bee, but a Critical Success popped up on his own health bar. He was very surprised by the sudden reaction and used all his force just to throw the darn thing away from him. He would have a few seconds at best to readjust his attacking style and make another attempt at successfully striking the boss. He moved his hands quickly, his feet even faster, to get into a reasonable stance. This would allow the most damage, both to him and the bee. Except, when he got stabbed, hit, or punctured, he would heal. The queen bee wasn't healing from these attacks in the slightest. Thus, Dominion found his footing and prepared for what came next.

Dominion awaited the bee to come at him again, ready to deal and take maximum damage. As it approached though, he changed his style to that of the tiger. It seemed fitting, considering the trees in this area were sparse. As the queen bee came toward him, it extended it's stinger, most likely to try to intimidate him. He wasn't about to be intimidated by such an act. He could feel his digital blood pulsing through him, ready for combat to ensue. Dominion clenched his fists, raising them above his head and smashed his left into the ugly thing. Out of sheer luck, the Monkey King Armor moved his body ever so slightly to the right, making the stinger miss by inches. He would also grab hold of the, now going to be paralyzed field boss, and jump off from there. Dominion landed on the rock, which jutted from the earth like a tooth. The bee came tumbling down and hit up against the rock with a loud thud.

Standing on the rock still filled with rage, Dominion could see all the trees. With the small amount of focus he still had, he took a look at the health bars around them. They seemed to become more distant as the fight progressed, which reassured him a bit. However, his rage continued as he jumped on top of the beast and struck it in the side with his right hand. The beautiful golden hand wraps did not lose their shine as he proceeded to slam it into the mid-section. Somehow, his arm broke the "shell" of the bee, doing a satisfactory amount of damage to the health bar. Dominion then jumped back, realizing that the monstrosity was helpless. He would never kill something without giving it a chance. The boss stayed still for a few more moments before fluttering its wings violently again. He braced himself as normal combat would happen again, but this time he would not be raging... hopefully.

Dominion didn't have to rage, but he couldn't have been more wrong about normal combat ensuing. As he saw the bee begin to beat its wings, Dominion tried to take a half step back. As he moved his left foot back, he expected that he could feel something beneath him to support his weight. However, when Dominion placed his foot down, it was in a hole several inches down in the ground. Dominion fell off balance and stumbled back onto the ground. His ankle was completely twisted by his fall, not like it should be. The bee queen seemed to be having similar trouble, as it seemed to be lost. Maybe it hit it's head against the tooth rock too hard. It just began to wonder the area, seemingly unfocused on anything in particular. Dominion had to hold in a laugh, as they both seemed to be confused by what had just happened. He truly enjoyed his moment out of regular combat with the mob.

Dominion had to move his body, so not to twist his ankle any further. Battle healing was beginning to adjust his foot, so he didn't worry to much about that. He was more focused on getting the combat back to its original "glory". He, once he was up and ready to begin his limping movement over to the bee, started to hop on one leg. He found that hoping on one leg was very difficult on a hill that was slanted downward, but it would be fine until the bee recognized him. After a few seconds of him standing up again, the bee took notice and seemed to remember the combat that had occurred.  It buzzed quickly, directed right at Dominion. Dominion extended both hands in front of himself and planted his feet down. He stopped the bee from moving any closer to him, the stinger was obviously seeking a target to stab and he would not have himself be that target.

Dominion was holding the queen bee from successfully making any contact with his body. However, Dominion had other plans. He let go of the queen bee, fully knowledgeable that he would be punctured again in the abdomen. He lifted his right arm back, his fist weapons glowing a golden hue. He slammed his fist down on the bee, and suddenly it was sent several yards back, directly into the tooth rock. it remained there for a few seconds before it fell to the ground. He could tell that the bee had successfully landed a critical success to his health, but the more important thing was his ability to do the exact same. He loosened his clenched fists and placed his arms to his sides. He could not yet put the hands in his pockets, as that would be a ignorant sign that Dominion would never display. He wasn't like the people in the world that were rude to one another. He showed kindness where it was needed, displaying a side that was greatly needed in the world of SAO... apparently.

Dominion walked over to the queen bee, still paralyzed on the ground. He quickly struck it with an open palm. It took some damage form the attack, but most of the damage was still being processed from the bleed status ailment. He took a step back and sat down, placing his hands together and meditated. What was he going to do next? He had thought about finding a familiar, and he had also thought about joining a guild, and maybe even move to the second floor. Dominion was becoming a more familiar player in the realm of Aincrad, being that he was progressing alongside everyone else. His mind suddenly went back to Row. She had abandoned him, which was rather disappointing. Why would she do something like that? especially since they had become so accustom to fighting alongside one another? Dominion dropped his arms to his sides, as he heard the wings begin to beat again. Dominion opened his eyes from his meditation.

Dominion had no reason to fear the upcoming attack from the queen bee, so he just casually arose. The bee fluttered the wings violently again, but it was in no way scary to them. Dominion placed a hand on the back of his head as he quickly moved out of the way from the stinger. With his other hand, he stopped the bee from going directly into the tree. He could have struck the bee, but with the amount of force he would have applied, it wouldn't have done anything. So Dominion just waited as the bleed affect wore off, it's health was only a fourth of it's original. Dominion could make short work of the rest of the health bar, assuming that he could land another critical success soon. Dominion pushed he bee back toward the tooth rock, which was getting it's own fair beating from the queen bee. Dominion decided he wouldn't sit down, just in case the bee were to get serious. He would need to be in an optimal environment if that were to happen.

Dominion was still standing as the bee came directly at him once again. He was so glad that he remained standing, as the stinger was extended to stab through his Monkey King Armor. But, before the stinger would have the chance to pierce the light armor, he was shifted ever so slightly to the left, allowing the enemy to pass by. There was no harm done to either one of them, which for Dominion was somewhat bad. He needed another successful hit in order to end the battle and return to the second floor. There wasn't anyone waiting for him back there, as he tended to be alone when he journeyed. Nobody seemed to be that interested in fighting with Dominion besides Row, Domarus, and a few new players. Dominion turned his body to face the queen bee, the tooth rock was jutting out from behind him now. He thought that the tooth rock was sorta odd, but didn't complain.

Dominion, unaware that the bee turned around and zoomed over his head, bent down and crossed his legs. He raised his Spirit Monkeys, placing them in front of his chest as he meditated. He thought about the recent battles, how he had only used one or two of his trained moves. He would need to keep the others fluent with daily practice. Therefore, while the queen bee missed Dominion again, he decided he would train atop a mountain on some random floor. This would allow him to keep up his movements and allow him enough practice to keep his title. Dominion then began to think about the quests that the had heard of, but hadn't entered due to his current lack of abilities. He would need to solidify his training partner, someone willing to level up with himself and progress on floors with him. He also still had unresolved questions about love and the foundation of life, but he was reluctant to ask just any person. Whoever it would be, that person would have had to experience what they were teaching him, and then he would understand.

Dominion continued to meditate on such topics, simply allowing his armor to sway his torso in one direction or the other, which allowed him to dodge the queen bees stinger attacks. Dominion focused his mind and thoughts on the various people to which he could ask such trivial questions. Soon, as Dominion began to transition his thought about people and questions to people and the various floors which players had mentioned and he had never stepped foot on. He would never step foot on a floor that was most obviously too hard for him, but then how would he progress? Sometimes, the player needed to show stupidity in order to reach the next level. So, Dominion realized that in order for himself not to be a hypocrite, he would need to progress to the next floor as well. Dominion opened his eyes suddenly, a new light beginning to sprout in them. He was now focused.

Dominion placed a hand to each side of him and lifted his body completely off the ground while still cross-legged. Dominion proceeded to propel his legs back, so it looked as though he was about to do a pushup, except his feet were not touching the ground. He was using his strength to keep his body lifted off of the ground. he quickly lowered his torso to be closer to the ground. He then pushed his body up and got a couple feet up, putting his legs down beneath him and clenching his fists in fury. He charged at the queen bee, throwing one punch after the next in hope that it would die. He finally hit the queen bee right in the mid-section again. Even though the queen bee didn't die immediately, it was pretty obvious that Dominion had landed a critical success. He quickly took a half step backward after his rage subsided.

Dominion, while the queen fell to the ground paralyzed again, made a second strike with his left fist. He took a step forward, hoping to get a glancing shot on the bee that was dropping to the ground. His fist traveled ever so slightly over the head part of the queen bee. Dominion recoiled his fist back to his side as the bee dropped once again and came directly to him. He held out his hands, placing each leg in the ground for structural support. He extended his arms in a stance rarely ever used, with each inner wrist facing the other. The sudden contact of the bee was stopped directly where it was, as he displayed a show of decent strength, partly due to the fact that he didn't want to get pummeled by a giant rolling monstrosity on a beautiful day. Dominion now had halted the paralyzed bee in front of him, giving him the chance to make as many strikes as necessary in order to finish combat.

Dominion retracted his hands quickly. He had not planned to do this against this thing, but it was not as though he needed to extend the length of combat out any further. He retracted his hands to his hips and quickly recited something he had learned from the monks under his breath. Dominion thrusts his clenched tiger fists out from his midsection, creating a large amount of force. On contact with the queen bee, the queen bee was shot several feet up the hillside. Dominion remained in his stance for a few seconds longer, feeling the adrenaline pulse through his body. He didn't have any adrenaline, but he could remember that aspect from the real world. It felt like he was unable to complete all he needed to complete in that world, especially since there was still so much that he didn't understand. He would need to figure it out at a more appropriate time, considering the bee was beginning to stop its inertia from his magnificent strike.

Dominion allowed the bee to begin it's fall back down to him. He stood, his side facing the queen bee as it began to pick up speed as it rolled. Dominion thought very quickly about something that he still needed to do. I still need to set up a shop, and learn how to play my lute. It was so gracious of Baldur to sell me such a well made instrument. I wonder if it would be possible for me to learn a few songs quickly from that thing. It would surely brighten the mood of all the players stuck in Aincrad. Dominion liked the idea of playing music for his fellow players, since he had yet to meet someone who played a instrument. He had to admit, he didn't often travel into random stores anymore, but went to the must common and friendly ones that he had become accustom to going to. Therefore, it would be in Dominion's best interest to go and find out if any players had made shops for those unknown professions.

Dominion snapped back into motion as the queen bee was falling down, almost directly into him. He would never know if the queen bee just didn't try to move away on purpose or if it was actually still paralyzed. Either way, combat would end here. Dominion struck his fist out to his side, planting it where he supposed the queen be would crash into him. The queen bee made a sudden movement with it's stinger to face his abdomen, but with Dominion's eyes closed, he had no idea that it ever happened. The bee hit his fist with enough force to instantly pixilate in front of him. Dominion opened his eyes, as he faced out toward the landscape. In the corner of his eyes, he could see the pixels falling. Out of the direction where the pixels fell, he could see the tooth rock jutting out of the ground. A notification popped up stating the loot, 2000 Col and 2 Mats. Dominion also saw the poison stuff that also dropped from the bee.

Dominion swiped open his inventory, taking a look at all the random things he had acquired within the last few months. His inventory was filling up, and he needed to get rid of some of his stuff, in one fashion or another. Even so, Dominion accepted the loot dropped from the queen bee and placed it in his inventory. Now, all possible slots were filled, which meant he would need to go and give the items to people who could actually use them, like starting players. Dominion broke his feet from the stance and began to walk forward. One of the sparse trees, growing up about as high as the other tree's in the area, was the perfect one for Dominion to begin to climb. He reached his arm up to grab the closest sturdy branch. After he had successfully gotten his grip, he swung his body up onto that branch and did acrobatic leaps the rest of the way up. He got himself to the highest part of the tree to look and hopefully figure out which way the town was.
