Jonathan stood on the ninth floor, preapring himself for a short quest, that he originally thought was a lot harder. It would appear, he was about 30 levels over the recommended level, and he usually took those quests while under that, so this he would be taking alone. With his weapon rank being upgraded, he could now take quests by himself, which was a major improve, especially since he could now farm col a bit. The ninth floor would be a good place at the time, so the blond down an uncommon DMG potion, accepted the quest and began to head out towards the quest location. Without other allies or heavy armor equipped, he could go as fast as he pleased. His White cloak kept him quick as he moved through. He was going with DMG, ACC and loot for the day. The best things to earn the most col.

Moving quickly through the area, He and Sol made it to the camp with no problems. The familiar had seen it before, so he had led him straight to it. Jonathan glanced inside, seeing four bandit type players lounging about, appearing not to be caring about anything going on around them. He ensured he had Vanity Heavy Armor on, along with with his sword, pendant and shield. He took a deep breath before charging forward, moving straight in the middle of each of them. From there, he danced around, striking each target with four well placed blow. They instantly dropped to the floor, shattering upon touching it. The blond sheathed his weapon, quite proud of his masterful work. "Well, Sol I understand why it was a low level quest now. Why don't we search for some materials while we wait for my energy to restore?"

The Dawn Breaker began to move around the camp, beginning to search for anything of use. He found a fireplace, a few places for sleeping, but not much else. He did find some glowing purple herbs that could be used for alchemy. He retireved them and put them in his inventory. "Well Sol, how do you like it? Just you and I moving around, hunting and exploring" The creature made a cawing noise and flew down to his shoulder. It burned brightly, but Sol's lifeforce was tied with his own, so it did not even burn a little. His lips formed more of a smile, one that was seen just hen he was alone. The one where he was free to do whatever, free of all boundaries. Only his mind kept him chained to the ground. Without it, he would be soaring into the air, doing as his form pleased. "I must remain focused on finding things. No time to think about darker things"

Jonathan decided to go through one more time to ensure that he was not missing anything of importance form the bandit camp. After a thorough search, he found nothing else had been salvageable by the bandits. "Come one Sey, lets hunt around the floor while we still got some time on our hands. I thought we would have gotten through a  lot slower" He chuckled and put his hand on the hilt of his sword. Tier three was coming up, and he was quite happy to say that he was steadily leveling over the past few days. He believed this quest would get him leveled up as well after he did a bit of grinding. Grinding for EXP was getting quite a bit harder now that he was almost level 50. Only, three levels away? He would have his Stonewall mod by then, making his tnaking better. Hopefully he could get in in before the boss fight.

Jonathan walked forward, allowing himself to search acorss the charred grass plains of floor nine. It was much better than the obsidian ground or the coal like rocks that could be walked on. You only had to ensure you were careful for burning areas of the field. Sol, appeared to like the fires though, flying through ever single one as if it were a cool new unexplored cavern. When they were alone, his familair acted more like itself, less proud and more playful. Jonathan, was also a bit different. More free, unchained. Barely hanging on to the fabrics of sanity. When he was alone, the voices became louder, telling him things. his sanity decreased as he was alone. Nobody keeping him in check, nobody around to remind him that there was indeed hope that there were getting out. Someone to remind him of who he was, and where we was.

Jonathan traveled the area and found some other creatures to test his abilities. Four hellhounds stood in his way, fire leaping form their nostrils. The blond smiled as he een them and drew his weapon. They neared and Jonathan charged forward, making a display of blue light as he struck each creature four times in total. As he was done, he became vunrealble again, and each of them clawed his viciously. Jonathan snarled, his attitude form battle changing then it normally was. He had dealt quite a bit of damage on the fellas, which was nice to see after months of not being able to deal any damage whatsoever. "It hurts doesn''t it? I am glad that I am able to deal more damage now. I cna actually farm col and materials. Which will help me on so many levels" He chcukled and prepared another flurry of attacks.

The hell hounds began to advance snarling and such as they neared. The four of them felt like they overpowered the lone tank, but Jonathan would have to beg to differ later. He blocked an incoming mob with his shield and dodged the other incoming attacks. Jonathan chuckled and then pointed his weapon straight up into the air. "My turn" He said darkly. His weapon began to achieve a bright blue aura. He quickly moved, making a show of light as he slashed into each of the creature once, sending off spirals of light in all different directions. The hellhounds fell back, overpowered by Jonathan quite quickly. "This is what happens every time. They think they are strong enough, then they revolt. Then they all fall to the stronger's hand" He pointed his weapon at each of the hellhounds. "What are you going to do, when Tier three comes in?"

Jonathan stood around each of the hellhounds, who appeared to be regrouping as he went. Thanks to his new AoE attacks, they appeared to be dwindeling in health points rather fast. If Itzal was around to help him, they would get more rewards and have had it finished by no. Today was a solo expedition though. He did not need help from the likes of Itzal and these solo quests were proof of that. The hellhounds made another advance, swiping at Jonathan, but he managed to intercept it with his shield, warding each of them off. He raised his weapon and they already knew what was coming. A flash of blue light struck each of the mobs and they dipped down into the deep yellow zone, almost the red. Another two hits and they would be finished. He laughed dngerously and waited for the next onslaught to start.

The Dawn Breaker stood there, preparing himself for another series of attacks.Almost reaching the red zone, they appeared to be even more determined to bring him down. They snarled wildly nd attacked at random intervals. He managed to keep them off until one got him. The bite distracted him, allowing each of the others to get a good hit in before he could recovered. The bites were weak, but they dealt a decent bit of damage. Growling in anger, Jonathan's weapon began to gleam a bright blue color before he whipped his weapon around and hacked at each individual beast before he ended his skill with a sweeping slash they hit each of them. Their healths were brought so low, he could almost defeat them with his weaker AoE sword art. Not quite though. He stood there, prepared for another round before they died.

Jonathan would watched as the hellhounds began to snarl as they advanced, swiping at him hungrily. It would seem as if they just lost all sense of pattern and were now just attacking wildly, desperate to kill him. Eventually, he let them hit him, and they began to retreat, tail in between their legs. With that, he slashed each of them, finishing them off bringing down their health to zero. As the last one shattered he sheathed his weapon and looked at his rewards. Just some col was all that he received. He sighed and sheathed his weapon, exhausted form the lack of energy that coursed through his digital form. "Not too bad Sol, now did we?" He chuckled and sat upon the charred ground, his energy slowly beginning to climb back up to maximum.

The blond chuckled as he sheathed his weapon. The fight had gone rather well, and now he was out of energy. He stood there for a moment before turning to the sound of his familiar screeching. He unsheathed his weapon, watching as his familiar fell to the ground, a creature lumbering over it with sharp fangs. It was a hellhound. A flaming wolf shaped creature appeared to have somehow found and attack his familiar. Jonathan advanced on the creature, determined to save his familiar. He brought down his weapon, but something immediately stopped him. The sound of metal on metal was heard, and he was kicked back. Thrown to the ground and disarmed all in one move. He met the obsidian ground and he got a clear view of his familiar trapped in the claws of the hellhound. He hear a dark laughter and he managed to get on his back before a blade was in his face, pointed threateningly. 'Uh oh' Jonathan thought.

A few seconds passed before Jonathan could make out the face of his attacker. It was an orange player, armed with a one-handed straight sword. He wore a dark cloak, but did not adorn the hood. Underneath was black leather armor and on his hand was a skull ring. The hellhound growled and the player snapped. "Enough Fang. You don't get to eat this one. I have not had my fun yet. This player is from the Celestial Ascendants" Jonathan's face paled. The figure laughed and backed away, bringing his sword to his side. Jonathan rolled backwards and immediately stood at his feet requipping his tanking items. As he did, the man smiled. "This is one of the tanks... Very few of them on the frontlines" The man inquired. Jonathan rose his shield and picked up his weapon, waiting to see what the man could do. He looked serious and his blade looked rather strange. It had a dark red pulse. It was a black sword with bright red lines moving through it like veins. This man was dangerous it appeared.

Jonathan would gulp as he stood there. This man was surely an knowledge person and knew quite a bit about him from mere sight. He also seemed to enjoy the fact that he was a tank. "Who the hell are you, and what do you want?" He asked courageously. The man chuckled and looked at his Hellhound familiar. "Well. It appears you deserve to have some answers. The name is Chaos, and this is my familiar." The man pointed to his familiar. He drew his blade near his face and continued. "This is Hellreaver. I and a few.... Friends... discovered a boss on this very floor. This blade was the drop. It has killed before, and it will do it again" Jonathan gulped and prepared for the fight. "You actually think you can fight me? I enjoy your courage. Most would prefer to run away" The man chuckled darkly before snapping to the hellhound. The familiar had a new target, and it was him. "Sol" The phoenix burned a dark red color, showing its anger to the two others. Sol would not really be able to help, but he would serve more as a distraction. Just another perk of having a small familiar.

Jonathan stood in front of Chaos. The other player snapped his free hand and he and his hellhound moved in for the kill. Chaos took him straight, starting with a hard thrust with his sword. Jonathan blocked the blow with his shield. He countered with his own weapon, but the man had razor sharp reflexes, deflecting his attack. He heard a screech behind him and he turned his head, seeing the hellhound coming from his side. Luckily, Sol had his back, scratching the beast with its claws. Fang snarled and backed away. Jonathan refocused upon Chaos, whose smile had faded into a fierce stare. "I will admit. you are good at protecting yourself, and even better with that shield of yours." The man complimented him. "Why are you doing this? Not only attacking me, but having killed other players?" The man looked at him coldly and said nothing.

Jonathan watched as the man's turned devilish in the low light. "Player should have thought about that before they killed my friends" Jonathan was taken by surprise. Was this player taking revenge on everyone because someone killed his friends? "I didn-" The man charged forward, striking forth with pure power. His first few blows were blocked by the shield, but then the man started to land his hits. His attacks were faster than anything he had seen before, striking each of his joins and a few spots in his chest. Jonathan threw himself away from the man to catch a breath. He prepared his shield and charged forward. He slashed forward, but once again was blocked by his pure speed and ability of his blade. Jonathan seen a glowing behind the man and was hammered with a blow to the chest from Chaos's free hand. Jonathan flew backwards. He had been battered burned and bruised form that one volley.

The blond would stand his ground as he stood in front of the man. He was NOT going to die to this man. He charged forward first this time, taking him by surprise. Jonathan managed to get a few strikes in before backing off, allowing the man some space. The man snarled as he looked at him. "You fool" The man charged forward, making a few strikes at him. Jon managed to block a few of the swipe, but eventually the man became much too fast, getting strikes in. Jonathan faltered back from the strikes, and with one last strike from the man, he fell to the ground. Chaos stood, breathing lightly. "Far too weak" The man stated. Jonathan had barely touched his health bar, and it was already beginning to rearise. He rose Hellreaver up, which appeared darker than it originally had. It had something to it. For ome reason, it had dealt far more damage the second time then the first.

Jonathan stood there, confused to what was really going on. "Your friends... They were murdered?" The man snarled at the mention of his friends. He pointed Hell Reaver forward and said, "By players. Players just like you" He charged forward but he was unhinged now, striking with little accuracy. He managed to block the blows and return it with a few slashes that dealt a bit of damage. The man snarled. "You really are annoying, tank. I admire your strength though. Most would have already fallen under half-health" Jonathan did not care for the man's words. The man's health had barely dipped, and Jonathan had lost a nice chunk of it. He was just trying to live this. "Who are you?" Chaos chuckled and gave him a sneer. "I used to be a leader of a small, but powerful group. I had ties to many NPC bandits in this game. It is surprising what you can do in this game. Have mobs help you in battles if you do it right"

Jonathan planted as the two of them fought. Every few seconds they would collide with an intensity so strong, that Jonathan felt alive. The rush of battle was invigorating. Time seemed to slow down, he noticed every detail of the battle, every glance or move that Chaos was going to make. Then, Chaos attacked with a force, that not even Jonathan was able to block with his shield. Chris's sword struck his shoulder, burning with incredible heat. He suffered quite a bit of damage from the man. Chaos grinned wickedly and asked, "What is your name? I don't want to forget the names of those I kill" Jonathan gave the man a venomous look and spat the words, "The name is Morgenstern, and there is no way I am dying to your hand. Not now, not ever" At the mention of his name, Chaos paled and stammered, "That is not your name. Don't you dare say it is.... Damn, I guess you even look like her" Jonathan frowned. "What are you talking about? You are not making any sense anymore. My last name and username is Morgenstern. There is no way it does not belong to me"

Jonathan watched as Chaos sheathed his weapon, a sneer on his face. It would appear that the man was done fighting. He seemed a bit sad for someone who just tried to kill another person. He snapped his fingers and his hellhounds returned to him, seeming forget Jonathan and Sol. He spoke coldly, " I shall leave now. I shall not kill someone with the same name as her.... It might mean the end of us completely" Jonathan frowned and replied, "Who are you speaking of? Who shares my last name with me?" Chaos sneered, turning. He gave Jonathan a look of longing and slowly replied, "her name is Penelope Morgenstern. She looks like you enough that she must be your sister. Or at least, some other connection" Chaos gave him one last glance before turning around, unseating his weapon once more. He struck the obsidian and ash ground, unwinding a cloud of dark smoke into the air. When the cloud dispersed, he was relieved that he was probably not going to die today. Chaos was definitely a strong opponent, but he knew he had to find this man. He had information on a girl that was supposedly his sister. They looked alike and shared the same last name. Chaos must know where she was. He would need help and a few levels. A better damaging weapon.

He turned away from where Chaos had come from. He would need to find the player again sometime. But right now, he needed to research to be able to find him when he wanted to find him. He needed to know more about Chaos and that would give him enough time to get stronger and be able to defeat Chaos. He could invite Itzal along. Itzal would help him with almost anything, and right now he needed Chaos alive. It was a game of capture so they could find out where this Penelope was. Was Penelope his sister? He shook his head. He had to take things one step poo at a time. He had enough information about Chaos to be able to do some quality research. He needed to go and talk to Itzal about it, or should he keep it a secret during the training stage. Itzal was one to want to k ow things, but Itzal might rush in too quickly. Or try to persuade him from attacking Chaos. He would keep Itzal hidden from the truth until the training was almost over. He just needed the. Health capacity, so he could leave some skill points unspent. Hr began to walk forward in the direction of a town. His horniest were far from over, and he knew that he would learn, gain and lose much on his journey.
