[F1-SP] Stretching my legs, and my sword arm (COMPLETE!)

The last wolf was circling Gryas, reading its attack once more. Unlike last time however Gryas took the initiative and charged full ball at the wolf, shield to his side and sword prepped and ready Gryas crouched as he came in close and then swept his blade upwards in a smooth and clean motion. The wolf had jumped at the same time at him but Gryas had pre empted it so it sailed above his head as his blade cut upwards, slicing the wolf in half right up the belly. It exploded in light at the edge of his blade and Gryas stood up straight, swung his sword through the air and then sheathed it. Strapping the shield to his back he stood there for a moment. Another loot pop up appeared in from of him, he did not take time during the fight to check what he had gotten but looking at all of the rewards he had gotten for this one fight was 10 tier 1 crafting materials in total, a pretty good haul.

Gryas didn't hesitate, he moved into the cave that appeared  to be a wolves den and began searching for another chest, seeing if his theory of this being a spawn point for them was valid. He searched around the cave and was not able to find anything of use. Maybe there had not been enough time yet for the chest to spawn? Gryas thought to himself. "Well I might as well take some time to look at all the gear that I have collected so far." It had been a decent haul, he was able to have gotten enough gear to make his recent blacksmith purchases worth it. He didn't get enough Col to pay for the gear he had bought but he did get enough materials and items to make it all worthwhile. He thought he would just take a rest, he was not too worried about the wolves so rather then heading back and resting he decided to just take a seat against the cave wall in here and take a moment to get some Hit Points back.

Gryas was on his way out of the cave when he heard the noise. It was a noise that was now getting very familiar with him, and very old. I looks like he was not as alone as he had hoped, he heard a howl in the distance followed by 3 more howls, each in turn a little closer then the last. Maybe he had just waited too long inside the cave because the next thing he knew there was rustling just beyond the closest trees to the cave and then a flurry of movement. 4 wolves burst out of the tree line and charged right for him, Gryas was ready however and raised his shield and let them crash into him one after another. He watched as they chipped away at his health but was not too worried as he raised his own sword ready to go on the attack. The last wolf crashed into him and the moment it turned Gryas chased it down slashing across its back and then turning once more to get ready for the next wave of attacks. Combat was getting to be second nature for Gryas as he once again fell into a battle rhythm.

Gryas ran through the trees as the two and froe with the wolves continued. One of the wolves however crashed through the trees towards him a little unexpectedly compared to the others attacks and crashed right into him. It knocked him off balance and while he was trying to regain his footing another wolf crashed into his legs and sent Gryas tumbling. The two other wolves weren't far behind as they both crashed into him as well, seriously chunking away his health as he tumbled through the brush and crashed into a tree. He had to move, they were coming in for another attack and Gryas' health had just went down into the red. Jumping to his feet Gryas moved through several trees placing them between him and the wolves, trying to catch his breath as he readied his sword and shield once more. Gryas thought about taking a health potion due to his low health but held off on it for now, if they got off another attack like that last one then he would need to or risk dying here to a group of unimportant wolves.

Gryas got back in the motions of combat and began moving with the wolves. He had recovered his breath from the last devastating attacks that he had received and was ready to keep on fighting. Gryas made an attack on one of the wolves but was not able to connect, and in return the wolf darted forwards and bit into his thigh before retreating. Two more attacks came in from both sides and Gryas braced himself as they crashed into him but that was what he had wanted as he twisted after the attack and bashed both of them aside with his shield. The fourth wolf lunged at him next and this time Gryas leant back on his rear foot and braced his shield in front oh him. The wolf exploded in light against the shield and Gryas received a notification for loot received, 1 x T1 material. It came at a price though as Gryas saw his health drop a little lower from the attacks.

The wolves turned and began circling closer, Gryas raised his shield and was ready for them as they dashed through the trees towards him. He didn't even bother raise his sword, instead he made sure he left himself open just enough so that they would hit him but he kept tensed up ready to strike back with his shield. They began crashing into him, and one after another exploded into light as he turned his shield into each attack and activated his thorns in retaliation to their attacks. They all exploded in front of him, and Gryas in now exhausted victory took a moment to lean up against a tree and catch his breath. There was another notification pop up in front of him. He had received some more tier 1 crafting materials as well as a rare armour and rare weapon. That was a decent haul for killing these four wolves.

Gryas went through his inventory and looked at the two pieces of equipment that he just received. He clicked on each of them in turn and clicked inspect, revealing a One Handed Assault Spear and Light Armor. The spear was interesting because he was still in need of a good one handed weapon but the light armor was not of much use to him. He did have some companions that used light armor so all was not lost. Gryas pushed himself off from the tree and began making his way back in to town, he would need to go by a merchant at some point to inspect all of these unidentified items he had received but right now he just wanted to get back to the Inn and out of his armor. His trip out of the forest was uneventful and he was able to avoid the prowling wolf packs and then the walk along the rolling hills was short and pleasant. The boars here weren't aggressive unless you provoked them so it was a safe walk. The walls of the Town of Beginnings grew closer and closer until he was finally within the shade of them and he took in and breathed out a large breath of relief that he had made it back safely.
