[SP-F7] The Beast With No Eyes (COMPLETE)

Recommended Posts

Daeron went to the 7th floor to explore about the area. He had heard rumors on lower floors, from players all about that there is a beast that exists on the 7th floor. It is said to have claws that always drip blood, black scales like a dragon, fangs like a wolf, and no eyes. They call it different things. He's heard some people name it the "No-Eyed Beast" and others call it "Black Death". The reason why people fear it so much even though it has no sight is because every player that has hunted for it so far... died.

Daeron grabbed his sword from his inventory, strapped the sheath onto his back and left the town ready to search for it. He heard it lived in an abandoned tower within the southeast end of the floor. He was told that it also has an ability to use poison when it gets down to the red, but then again. What CAN he believe? Nobody has ever left it's domain. This means all of this could either be completely true, or a big fat lie that could blow up in his face as a joke.

Daeron walked the floor, kicking up red dust here and there. It was such a wasteland. Nothing in sight for miles it seemed. Daeron drank a small pouch of water, trying to keep his body hydrated. This floor was hot, and even though he had a robe that protected him and resisted heat and fire, it wasn't fully resistant.

He must have been walking for what seemed like a good two hours because he knew he was a far distance away from the starting town. Daeron also realized, he was all out of teleport crystals. Meaning if he does encounter it and is about to die, the only choice he has is to run. That is if it is real at all. Daeron squinted his eyes in the distance. There was a tall and wrecked tower barely visible through the signs rays of light that gleamed in his eyes. Daeron headed over to the tower curious of what it beholds on the inside.

He entered the destroyed tower. It seemed hollow inside, and rather cool compared to the outside heat. How could such a place be so cold on a floor that is set to such a temperature. Something also didn't feel right. Even though the tower seemed like it was empty, Daeron had a slight feeling that he was being watched, or listened to. Every footstep Daeron took, made a tapping sound. The tips and taps echoed throughout the tower and the empty hallways that acted like a maze.

Daeron continued to walk through the dark, unlit hallway, until he heard a growl. Or what seemed to be one anyways. It was a dark, menacing growl, like a bear or large beast. Daeron, without thinking pulled out his sword preparing for an attack. But to his surprise, nothing jumped out at him, nor did anything even happen. Perhaps Daeron was once again hearing things because of what people had told him.

After walking throughout the massive tower for a good half and hour he couldn't remember his way out. The entry way seemed like it actually disappeared from where it had sat before. Now Daeron was nervous, he was unsure of what to expect in this tower and nothing was happening. It was quiet... too quiet.

Daeron continued to walk, but his footsteps no longer made a tip or a tap. Instead, they were heavy thuds on the ground as he became anxious of the tower. He wasn't expressing fear himself on the outside, but he was sure feeling it on the inside. Again, a growl went through Dearon's ear. This time he knew he wasn't hearing things because the growl grew stronger every few seconds.

By the next few steps he was able to hear dark, heavy breaths. It was now definite, something IS with him in there, but due to the darkness, he couldn't see a thing around him. At the end of the hallway, he saw a door. He opened up the door to find a large square room, with torches hung along the walls. Torches? Why are they lit already? Daeron was confused, but continued through the room until he was in the center.

He looked around the room, it was empty. When Daeron stood there for another few seconds, a tremble grew, strong and powerful, and the wall that had a hole in it, had a hand on the ledge. Something was climbing out of the wall and Daeron had a good feeling of what it was. When the beast like hand had pulled out a body, he saw blood on the hand. The hand and arm from the body were black and scaled. Also, on the top of the body, on what looked like a head, were white, and red fangs. Daeron knew exactly what it was now... it was The No-Eyed Beast.

Daeron had his sword equipped, pulsing energy through his body like every time he equips the weapon. Since, the beast is unable to see, it must have intensified hearing and smelling. Daeron, was in complete silence with his attacks, because he dashed in at the enemy with an upward slash along the arm

The beast must have had late reflexes because the cut ran across the entire arm's length. The monster roared viciously at Daeron.

The beast charged in at Daeron. For being blind, Daeron assumed it must have an incredible <> skill. The beast swung it's arm at Daeron with a set of five extremely sharp claws.

The attack came in hard because the sheer brute force of the impact blew Daeron backwards several feet.

Daeron recovered from the monster's attack and ran in again. This time Daeron was going for the same thing except on the other arm. If Daeron could handicap the beast, he was willing to go there to win.

Another successful strike on the beast, and another monstrous roar. Daeron thought this fight was a walk in the park compared to his fight, with the late Kaleb.

The monster's arms were practically torn to bits. But, that didn't matter to the monster. It once again, charged at the player it was sensing.

Another strike from the monster that launched Daeron into a nearby wall, back smashing into wall. The beast was almost ready to use it's ability.

Daeron stood back up onto his feet. He picked up the sword he dropped after smashing against the wall. Daeron felt the energy through his body. He ran at the beast and jumped on it's back, preparing to thrust the weapon in it's back.

After the sword made contact with it's inside. the monster threw Daeron off. It was injured. When Daeron got up he saw the beasts claws were glowing gree, like a poison or venom of some sort.

The beast launched Daeron off its back. It would have been staring at Daeron, if only it had eyes. The gashes on the monster introduced the monster to a new level of pain. It then roared extremely loud, and made its claws glow with a green burst. The beast used its <> skill to locate Daeron. It then charged in on the player, preparing to swing at the enemy.

The monster slashed with great fury and power, it was able to feel a gust of air drifting behind the beast's palm. Unfortunately for the monster, Daeron used speed as an advantage to dodge the incoming attack.

Daeron dodged the attack, getting used to passing attacks. During his fight with the player, he learned knew styles of fighting. Daeron then crossed his weapon across his chest and waited for the weapon to glow orange. <> was about to be used by Daeron, hoping to deal some heavy damage to the beast.

The sword slashed in a star shaped pattern, but ended up slashing at nothing more than air, which provided no resistance to the weapon.

<> is a 4-Hit Combo that has a three turn cooldown. For the attack to land however, a Combat Dice Roll of 7 must be obtained. Resulting a 6 will be a miss for the use of this ability.

The beast used it's right hand, or more like claw, to slash away at Daeron's chest. Daeron watched the claw fly in at him, and wasn't sure what the green aura does to him. Nor did he want to find out. However, the monster swung its arm in a horizontal motion.

Combat Roll: 7

The attack of the beast hit Daeron across the chest, and left three small slits along his chest now, inducing pain into Daeron's body. It was bearable, but did become a distraction during the fight as the fight carried on to be longer.

The slash on Daeron's chest felt like it small needles stabbing him in the chest with every motion. The injury across his torso created grunts of pain for induced seconds, but didn't slow Daeron down too much... yet. Daeron then used his sword to thrust forward and stab into the monster's stomach, hoping it could bleed out by any chance.

Battle Dice: 1

The attack was a direct miss as the beast somehow dodged the attack like it had eyes. Somehow, some way, the monster was able to detect every attack coming in on it. Unable to comprehend how it does it, he ignored the miss, and readied himself for another attack.

The monster rolled out of the way of the attack and rushed forward at the player with hit's green glowing claws. The claws refused to allow the glow to fade. Somehow the monster was using a sword skill with no limit to it. Was it something only monsters were able to control. Only monsters had no limits? The beast saw Daeron's readied position for the attack, but rushed in anyway, hoping that the direct attack could let up the defense through intimidation.

Battle Dice: 4

The attack was directly at the opponent's weapon. Daeron's defensive position didn't let up, instead it amplified the closer the monster got. When the monster's skin made contact with the weapon, there wasn't tearing, but instead there was a sound of metal clashing.

Dearon felt the impact of the hit, but didn't do any harm to him. His chest still burning with pain, but otherwise he was fine. Daeron heard a sound... metal clashing together as the monster's skin and the weapon of his collided together. Does this monster have some sort of ore or metal within it? Let's see about killing it quick in case it's a temporary chance for it to drop. Daeron used this as motivation and swung his sword backwards to try and impale the monster's stomach once more.

Battle Dice: 4

The weapon hit the skin of the monster, but again, the monster's skin made a metal noise. The sword also didn't impale the beast, therefore dealing no damage to the monster whatsoever. Something here was preventing Daeron from causing harm to it.

The monster roared at Daeron as the sword couldn't impale it. The weapon felt like a toothpick to it at the moment. The skin of the monster was as hard as metal, and refused to budge either. The weapon was almost useless, and only did minimal harm to the monster's skin, but didn't deal any fatal harm to the beast. The monster then threw it's other hand full of glowing claws at it's opponent.

Battle Dice: 5

Daeron dodged away from the attack dealing no harm to him. The only sign of weakness in the monster's enemy right now, was the chest pains in his body.

Dearon then rolled out of the way to avoid being hit by another set of claws with glowing light of green. The flash of green was almost blinding as it was extremely bright with a neon glow. The weapon of Daeron's felt almost useless to him, but he needed to try one more time. Before the monster had time to react to his dodge, Daeron ran behind the monster and slashed his weapon vertically down across it's back. In typical games like this, when body armor like this protects the monster, the back was always it's weak point. Perhaps, this was the same thing for this monster, as this is SAO, and it is technically considered a game as well as a death wish for others.

Battle Dice: 9 (3 Damage)

Just as Daeron had suspected, as soon as the sword made a connection with the monster's back, the monster roared in pain. The monster's roar wasn't vicious anymore, no, it was a weak cry, a sign. The sign that the beast was almost ready to die. The back of the monster was now covered in cuts and scars and a long rip in it's skin.

The beast flew forward letting out a monstrous, but weak cry. It was getting weak, and it knew it. The claws refused to dim it's glow the slightest bit. The monster had finally turned around towards the player and sent it's claws flying forward at Daeron's chest again, where the previous wound is, that still hurt the player.

Battle Dice: 8

The beast's claws tore through the wound again, but this time, the wound stung the player even more. The claws had injected a poison within the player's body.

Daeron felt the claw slash through the clothing and into his skin. This time, the hit hurt worst than any of the other attacks taken, mostly because as Daeron looked up at his status by his health bar, there was a green drop of blood next to his health bar. It was obvious it stood for poison. Daeron could feel the poison running through his virtual blood and it affected his body. However, Daeron saw that the monster's health bar was in the red zone, and it was nearly wiped out entirely. Daeron swung his weapon, weaker than earlier, but hard enough to go through with the swing at the monster's arm.

Battle Dice: 4

The skin was still as hard as metal because the sword bounced off and nearly hit Daeron himself due to his disability to control the weapon correctly because of the poison.
