(PP-F1) the Skeletons Blades ( Jeremy, Edwyn)

Recommended Posts

As Jeremy searched for a place of escape the gigas looked for them. It probably had about 23 HP. That was a lot. Then he noticed a branch just in there reach. He grabbed on to it and with all his might managed to pull himself up. He quietly beckoned Edwyn forward scaled through the trees. Then he looked back behind Edwyn where the beast was looking where they had hid. Then the beast seeing no food or prizes he jumped back through the chasm and the chasm closed. Hey it wasn't that bad he said hopefully. Anyway there is not another disaster until 1 hour. So we are safe from disasters for a while.

Edwyn quickly followed Jeremy up the tree and watched as everything went back to normal. "Yeah, maybe no more disasters for now, but there are other things to worry about in a forest like this, you never know what's lurking in the shadows," Edwyn replied. We better get to this place soon, I have a feeling this forest is gonna be a dangerous place.

It seemed to be getting hotter. Jeremy grabbed his water and drained it. This just made him more thirsty. Then seeing a small pond ahead he jumped down going to put his non sword down into the water to wet his face but not get his grip on his sword slippery. As soon as he touched the water he screeched and jerked back his hand that was now red and blistered. Acid water. It just settled in. Though I bet this is not the whole disaster. Weird we have a few hours tell the next right? Then he felt it. A warm breeze getting hotter and hotter. The air was dry. The water started evaporating at a high rate. He started sweating. Then it hit him. The heat wave. He remembered a story when he was a beginner. About a man who barely survived this. His face went full of panic. Run he screamed and he used his good distance skills and ran to the next section. The heat getting smaller but still licking at his heels. Then there was the wildfire. Right behind them the smoke clouding them up. Run! He said coughing.

"Son of a! What now!" Edwyn yelled furiously. The forest seemed to be actively trying to kill them. First it was the ground opening up to swallow them, now it felt like they were standing on the surface of the sun and suddenly there was a wildfire licking at their heels as they ran. Common forest, cut us some slack here, were just passing through!

Then Jeremy burst into a clearing where a giant tree stood. As the flames retreated he remembered. This is the middle. That is the tree that gives off the energy and makes the disasters we are going through. At the start of each day it gives off some powerful radiation and makes natural disasters happen left and right. Wait there

Is only two disasters here. One will kill us for sure the other one gives off the corridors. The one that kills is tree boom. It sends high amounts of energy and even knocks down the trees. The second is moon beam. He grabbed his sword and chucked it as hard as he could at the tree.

Maybe he could destroy it. But it hit a force field and the sword crackled and blew into pieces. Crap! He got into his bag and grabbed his old curved sword and a long knife. This will have to do.

Aaaaa. We should be almost there. Then we need to get in the cave. Jeremy went into the wood. I wonder what the forests disaster is. So far nothing. Then he seem some monsters. Crap. This is not the disaster. Just a forest dweller. He looked at the beast. It kinda looked like a snake on two feet. I think I remember these things. Not as quite as strong as a basilisk, but they usually carry weapons and they don't ever have much HP. Jeremy jumped up to tslash the beast and the sword came at the snake downward and slashed it chest making a hit of one damage.

Edwyn grunted in reply, good, the sooner they made it to the cave, the sooner they could get all the treasure they could carry and head back to town. And then they ran into the snake-beast-creature-thing...Edwyn really had no idea what to call it, but he followed Jeremy's lead and slashed at the other one with his sword. He scored a blow and did some damage to the creature, but not quite enough to kill it yet.

Jeremy grunted as he circled the beast. He knew that he and Edwyn would not die here. He brought out his knife and threw it missing the beast. He was not happy he lost his knife. He needed a new blade. As soon as he fought a skeleton. He would use its blade. He refocused on the battle seeing Edwyn strike the other snake. I guess it's one on one. He striked out at the beast. He missed by inches because the snake jumped at him but it missed as Jeremy dodged.

Edwyn cautiously stalked around the snake, looking for an opening. He wanted to end this battle quickly so they could get out of this bloody forest and on with their mission. In his mind the sooner they were back in the town with their loot, the better. Seeing an opening in the snake's defenses, he struck quickly he he was able to do more damage on the snake and dodge its counter attack. One more hit should finish it off.

OOC: I think one of those snakes should have 1 HP.

Jeremy watched his snake intensely. This fight was about to get bloody he thought as the beast coiled into a ball. This made him unprepared. He jabbed his sword at it. Wait he just realized. How does something with small feet coil into a ball. He did not know but he attacked. Jeremy miser and the snake snatched at him but missed. Darn. Edwyn has more accuracy.

Ooc: my bad, fixed it

Edwyn hurriedly attacked his opponent again, wanting to finaih it off so he could help Jeremy and then they could get on their way again. He slashed at the snake viciously with his sword, however, he got over confident and missed. His sword overextended and left him open to a counter attack, which the snake took advantage of and was able to deal him some damage.

Jeremy was ready for the snake to find his weaknesses soon. Jeremy stalked the beast. As he seen an opening of the beast he readied himself to attack. He aimed and shot up in the air. He brought down the blade on its head for.a critical. The snake was dead. Jeremy looked at Edwyn still fighting his snake. Then looking a the other snake and it realized that it's ally was dead it hit him for two damage critical.

Edwyn saw out of the corner of his eye as Jeremy finished off his opponent, now he just had to end his fight too. He swing his sword in a combination of dizzying maneuvers, confusing the snake and causing its eyes to follow the blade, then he quickly reversed the flow and lunged forward, aiming to pierce the snake through it's chest. His ploy succeeded and the snake burst into tiny pixels, ending the battle.

Jeremy not really hurt laughed. That was good fun wasn't it. Then as Jeremy led Edwyn surging forward he seen something that would make Edwyn be relieved. He seen the edge of the forest and the entrance to the cave. Come on! He yelled to Edwyn. Then Jeremy stepped out of the forest when he had seen it. No more seen her. A limp woman he told this was. Here.

Edwyn followed Jeremy and finally caught sight of the edge of the forest and the cave beyond, that must be their destination. It's about damn time Edwyn thought sighing. The sooner they got this haul and got back, the better he would feel. "Let's do this thing!" He shouted to Jeremy and charged forward.

Edwyn followed Jeremy's charge into the cave, and then stopped dead when he saw what was inside. There was piles of treasure, swords, axes and spears, all sorts of weapons, and gold, jewels and Col. It was incredible. But standing in between them and the treasure were ranks upon ranks of undead. The smaller ones seemed weak, the danger lay in their numbers, whereas the King, who was standing behind his army, was obviously quite powerful. This would be an interesting battle...

(Ooc: since the small ones are so weak we can just narrate those battles, but we'll have to use the dice for the King)

Jeremy raised the skeleton sword and met head on with another. Stabbing the blade into its eye socket Jeremy moved forward hacking at skeleton after skeleton after Skeleton. Then he raised his blade to point at a skeleton and they surrounded him. Cake. He whipped his sword into them stepping on the broken bones for good measure. Then a blade flew at his breaking his sword. He dodged a blow to the head and moved quickly finding a spear and sent it flying into the eye socket of his pursuer. He picked up another blade and pointed at the leader. You will all die!

Edwyn followed Jeremy's lead and charged head on into the skeleton hoarde. He dodged and twisted, this way and that, sometimes slashing through skeletons, sometimes blocking or diverting their attacks. One after another, the skeletons fell apart, until there was a carpet of bones covering the floor, and still more skeletons pressed the attack. This was not going to be a quick battle, not by a long shot.
