[PP-F3] <<Search for the Hoya>> A Fallen Star

"Mm. Right." Telrenya nodded at his instruction. The rules he proposed seemed like common sense, but she could easily see one of them getting distracted or lost, and so she reminded herself once again to pay close attention of her surroundings. 'I don't have any teleport crystals, so...' Her thought trailed off as walked into the enveloping mists.

Telrenya nearly felt a chill run down her spine, and they hadn't even walked for more than a minute in the dense forest. She gave a sideways glance just to reassure herself that Hei was still there beside her. They continued like this for some time while the faint sounds of wails and cries echoed far off in the distance. All Telrenya could think of was how much she hated horror games. As they walked, her head swiveled side to side and she stared carefully at the walls of fog surrounding them, as if watching for something that would jump out and scare them.

Luckily, nothing did. Strangely enough, the pair hadn't even come across any regular monsters since entering this part of the forest. The blonde was just about to open her mouth to speak when a huge shadow loomed in front of their path. It was quickly recognizable as a tall stone wall, bringing the party to a halt. Telrenya's chin raised as she looked up at the unreachable top, and her hand slowly moved forward until her fingertips gingerly brushed against the stone. "W-well... Maybe we need to find a way inside?" She felt as though she had spoken up to simply fill the silence.

Since they had entered the mist it had gotten silent, none of them had spoken a single word and it seemed as if nothing at all was going to make sounds. There were no birds or insects making noise, just when Hei wanted to start talking, just so there was something to hear, when the screaming and crying began somewhere in the distance. The creepy atmosphere nearly was to much for Hei, who was not a fan of those kind of games, but before he flipped and made something dumb their way was blocked by some kind of a wall and Tel asked if they should look for some way inside what ever it was. "I don't know if it's such a good idea to go inside whatever it is, but we definitely can't continue this way, so let's walk around it and maybe we get lucky and choose the right side and find an entrance." Hei said, and looked to Tel, thinking about a good way to decide which way they should go.

Telrenya kept her hand placed gingerly against the rough stone wall as they walked slowly along it. Using the structure as her guide, she would occasionally give a nervous glance upwards or to the side, despite the fact that she wasn't able to make out the top of the wall or much of the surrounding forest through the thick fog.

They continued on this way for a few minutes while the uneasy atmosphere wrapped itself around them. They would eventually come across a break in the wall that would serve as the entrance to the labyrinth. Telrenya stopped for a moment, looking over to Hei before silently taking a peek around the corner of the thick stone wall. A hall-like path running parallel to the path they had been walking on the outside indicated the start of the maze, and turning her head to each side showed the path on each side of them stretching down to meet an identical wall. There were likely turns leading further in, but before she would take a step forward she felt herself swallow. "Well..." She started in a small voice. "You think this is where the objective is?"

As they were walking next to the big wall, Hei was happy that this way atleast one side was covered and what ever it was, that was out there in the fog could only attack them from one side. Just to make Tel feel save he walked next to her, so both her sides were protected, one by a big wall and the other one by himself. This walking through the fog made him thinking, that this wall could be the end of the floor and that it might span around the complete floor, meaning they would take forever to find an entrance or something. But before he could worry Tel with his thoughts they arrived at soemthing that could be an entrance. The hole in the wall, showed them two more paths, that were just like the one they had just walked, having a wall on one side and leading into what ever this building was.

When Tel asked him, if he thought that this was where the objective was, he shrugged, telling her "I don't really know, but it lookes like something where a quest objective could b..." but he was interrupted when a giant minotaur in platemale with a sword appeared from the fog. It loudly roared and charged at them. Hei was a trained fighter, so he qhickly ducked out of the Minotaurs first attack and was now in it's back. When his spaer began glowing deep purple, he released his most powerfull swordskill and with multiple hits, the monsters HP got reduced to zero and it exploded into pixels.

Having killed the warden of this entrance Hei turned to Tel "It was protected, so I believe this is where we have to go. Go and have a look for what ever you can find"

"Whoa..." Telrenya breathed out. The minotaur that had towered over them had been shattered to pieces with Hei's attack. The blonde felt the slightest tinge of heat on her cheeks that she hadn't had the chance to be of any help in dispatching the guardian, but the overwhelming difference in power between the monster and her partner helped to quell her feelings. 'If Hei could kill it in one hit, it's probably better that he handled it.' She assured herself, loosening her grip on the hilt of her rapier.

The woman gave a small clearing of her throat as she willed herself to move forward through the mist. She wished that she could wave her hand through the air in front of her to disperse the thick substance that obstructed her view. With her vision still impaired, the heels of her boots made small, rhythmic taps in the silence.

She caught sight of a small twinkling in the distance, squinting her eyes to try and make out the source. She walked closer, approaching a single stone pedestal. The object's existence caused her head to tilt in curious confusion. Telrenya stopped and hesitantly reached out a hand towards the item hovering over the smooth stone surface--an object that looked like a twinkling pendant at the end of a golden chain. She was able to take the pendant in her hand, pulling it closer until she could get a better look at it. In a shape that resembled a falling star, the accessory gave off a soft yellow glow as it rested in her palm.

The dialogue window that popped up in front of her nearly made the girl jump with a start, as if another minotaur had appeared before them. Instead, the familiar text that read "Quest Complete!" was displayed, and Telrenya's heartbeat steadied to a normal pace. Her torso twisted and she looked back to Hei, giving the man a grin of excitement from the sense of completion.

Quest Complete!
