He was still not far enough out of the safe zone for a treasure chest to spawn for himself. Pick was unable to get a treasure chest because there simply weren't any. All of them had already been taken by the other players. If he was to truly find a treasure chest, he must venture far out of the safe zone. With a sigh, he walked back into the safe zone. He had managed to complete the quest and his job was done. He had managed to do his task, and therefore he only had to go back and report to Blood. Once that happens, he'll go out and check out some females, and maybe even get to know a special someone. Or he can go gather more materials for those poor shopkeepers. Pick chuckled slightly, marching towards Blood's shop... or her secret base where she crafts all her weapons and poisons.

He cannot fail again. There's simply no way that he would allow it to happen. He was not a loser, and already, he had lost once on that day. He must complete this quest and he could see Michael already laughing the background. With a sigh, he once again began to craft. Perhaps alchemy just wasn't for him, because once again, another mushroom had been exploded as a result of his carelessness.

"Do not worry about it, sir. You are just going through a sequence of bad luck. Once your luck gets better, you'll manage to craft the potion. Do not be discouraged, player." The white-haired alchemist encouraged, only to be responded by Michael, not Thicc.

"Haha... nice one there, alchemist. This guy does not believe in luck. He only believes in skill, even in a game that is quite luck-based like this one. Luck is non-existent to him, and he hates luck."

Before he walked back into the safe zone, however, he saw an apple lying on the ground. Although luck was always a good thing, it shouldn't come that easily. He did not expect there to be a material simply lying on the ground, waiting for him, but he could not complain. After all, luck came to those who are open to it, and are willing to receive it. He is the beholder of luck... luck's best companion. Pick smiled at the apple, picking the red fruit up before inspecting it. Pick could not believe it. It seemed that the apple was just as rotten as the luck he was receiving at the moment. With a nervous grin, he chucked the apple away, and walked back into the safe zone... this time for reals. He looked around, before seeing that there were even more apples nearby. Most of them were probably rotten, but his luck could prove it different.

Thicc was bored. He had no motivation of crafting potions. This was not a job meant for the strong like him. He should be out there making armor with the fire within his eyes. He should be hammering away at steel and metal with his buff hands and creating armory and weapons for the people of Aincrad. Although there are a lot of blacksmith players in this world already, he still wanted a more manly job to do on his first quest. It didn't matter now, though, for he had far more difficult job to complete at the very moment. This alchemy crafting session was very unfortunate, for yet again, he managed to blow up another flask and the beaker that he poured from in the first place.

"This might be the most unfortunate sequence I've ever seen in my life. It's ok, though, just keep on trying your best."

Pick smiled as he continued walking outside of the safe zone. Once more, he is searching for materials to add to his inventory. This was a difficult process at the current moment because he had no skills to increase his luck. Luck is a skill, and in this game, skills are increased to increase luck. This is the relationship that must be sustained for a luck-based person, and a luck-based game. Pick noticed yet another apple that seemed to have some potential. Without hesitating, he bent down and grasped the red apple, noticing that it was perfection. The apple was huge, and completely fine to use as a material. This was unbelievable, because this was the first floor, and just a little bit outside of the safe zone too which means people must have passed the apple quite a long time and quite frequently. Pick smirked, tossing the apple up and down as he walked back into the safe zone to report to Blood.

Finally, Thicc was able to craft the item. With a smile, he received the invitation for the next part of the quest, and without hesitation, he accepted it. He was also told by the alchemist to go tell his friend, Pick, which he responded by nodding. The quest had been complete, and now the two of them must order some items before going on since there will be combat involved in the next two quests, and this combat will be dangerous if the two of them do not cooperate perfectly with the gear that would make it much easier. Thicc yawned, showing up at Blood's secret base with the DO NOT ENTER sign right outside. Entering, he noticed that Pick had already arrived and was whistling on the top of the table, signalling a peace sign as Thicc walked in. Blood was there too. She had done the scouting to check on the most active shopkeepers around. And now, she'll give further instructions.
