Mina glanced up at the pale blue sky, and let out a bored sigh. She had decided to take up a simple quest involving killing off a few wolves and a Venomous wolf that has been destroying several caravans. Apparently, the quest was fairly simple other than the fact that the Venomous wolf was a great deal stronger than most of the mobs that she was able to fight, so she was a tad bit nervous about it. "This should be fairly interesting, I suppose..." she mused, before entering into the Tavern. "I might as well go get a drink before I start the quest" Mina was wearing her cloak of duality and had Soul fragment sheathed near her waist. She walked into the Tavern, and sat down at the bar counter, before ordering herself a simple bottle of Ale. She passed the coins to the NPC bartender, and sat there drinking it for a while, watching the people as they milled around the tavern. There were a few dancers performing an elaborate show in the corner, a group of drunken bards having a singing contest, and quite a few players gambling over a few duels that were announced to be happening sooner or later. Mina sighed to herself, and ordered a glass of whiskey. It wasn't as good as it was in the real world, but it was still delicious nevertheless.

I let out a soft sigh of happiness with a smile on my face as i make my way through the second floor with my hands in my pocket wearing nothing but casual vanity clothing that is of a blue jacket over a black shirt while wearing black shorts. Having at my side my familiar a lion with fur as white as snow and wings as black as the night. I glance around through the small town trying to catch the sight of any players that could be in need of some help to help them if i am able to do so putting some more importance of that since i have been slacking in that regard. A slight frown crossing my face at that as i am disappointed in myself for not being able to do more of that for whatever reason as it seems like others are able to at least do things by themselves at this point, or a different guild has picked up the slack of helping out the new players that i don't know about. 'Whatever it is i can worry about it later.' I think to myself as i continue moving forward as i quickly take out from my inventory a small piece of paper as i glance over it as i stare intensely upon it as i slowly start humming a soft tune. Pausing every now and then trying to do a different tune as i repeat that process over and over as i'm staring at the piece of paper.

Mina paid for the last portion of her drinks, downed them, and bowed to the Barkeep. "Thanks for the drinks, sir." she said softly, before walking over to the  quest-giving NPC, and chatting with him for a bit. He was quite distressed with the fact that the wolves were destroying his caravans. He had eventually given her a pair of Vials of antidotes, which frustrated her a bit. 'I guess I need to find another player to do this with then?!' she thought furiously, 'Hopefully it won't take very long to find someone.' She sighed, before exiting the building, and re-entering the sunlit plaza outside of the Tavern. she shielded her eyes, letting out a hiss of pain. "Damn, it was dark in there..." She muttered, her eyes watering slightly as she looked about. She eventually spotted a player that was dressed in casual clothing, and had a small pure white lion with black wings on it's back. "Na, naa... that little guy's adorable~!" she cooed, her eye sparkling with delight.

I continue to make my way through the main settlement at a relaxed pace as i just enjoy the gentle sunlight against my skin just enjoying the peace that this floor brings compared to the many later floors and quests i have been stuck doing. Having not spent anytime really in just relaxing and just enjoying life once more instead just doing some quests and training to try and prepare myself for the future of facing bosses and enemies that lay in front of me. 'Though the frontlines are in shambles after that fight. I can't believe one stupid action caused everything to fall apart basically.' One simple action of a man protecting a bunch of data had caused such great waves through the frontlines that i couldn't even believe and be prepared for at all that leaves only one ringing thought. 'If one action like that can cause so much change and a reaction of others. That means we're just a powder keg waiting to blow up and it will only take one person to do something to turn all of us against each other.'

I feel my familiar brush my arm with its wing as i look down in confusion towards it as it then gestures its head towards a person looking at my familiar as i chuckle softly with a small smile as i say in a soft tone of voice towards him. Come on Kuro she might be somebody in need of help. I say towards my familiar as i make my way over towards the girl offering a gentle smile as i do so. What is up my name is Hestia, and the lion at my side is Kuro. I say as i put my hand out towards the girl.

Mina was so focused on the tiny lion that she had failed to notice that Hestia was now standing directly in front of her, and holding her hand out in greeting. "Ah... s-sorry for not paying attention!" She gasped, a bit flustered at accidentally ignoring the girl. "I-It's nice to meet you, Hestia..! I'm Tricolor_Mina, but please just call me Mina." She took Hestia's proffered hand, an embarrassed smile on her face. Mina glanced down at Kuro, an interested look on her face. "Naa~ I've never seen one that's that color before! He's adorable!" Mina realized that she actually needed to get someone to help her, since the man had given her a second Antidote Vial. "... Say, I know it might be a bit much to ask you this, seeing as we just met..." She started, ".. But would you be willing to help me kill a few mobs for a quest..? the NPC gave me two vials instead of one, and I can't use them both." Mina held out her other hand, a small vial of liquid in the palm of it. "of course, that's up to you..."

I smile at the girl's rather cheerful demeanor and seems like a genuinely kind individual at first glance at the very least as i just nod my head towards her. I shake the girl's hand with the same gentle and happy smile across my face as i look the girl within her eyes with my own blue colored ones. It is wonderful to meet you Mina, and yeah my buddy Kuro is pretty adorable. I say with a small chuckle as my familiar glances towards me and lets out a loud huff and flaps his wings twice as i look down towards him with a playful grin on my face. You are so cute don't try to deny it you proud lion. I say towards my familiar that just gives me the same disdain filled look before turning his head away as i just chuckle softly and turns back towards the other player in front of me. I would be happy to help you with this quest Mina it was actually what i was doing on this floor in the first place. To look for people in need of some help from a top grade player like myself. Hestia, the tank of the Holy Dragon Alliance and frontline fighter. I say with a proud smile as i give a thumbsup towards the girl as i than stop soon after while chuckling softly to myself as i rub the back of my head. Sorry, i like trying to introduce myself in a fancy way makes it fun sometimes you know? Plus i'm a performer so grand entrances are something i am going to have to get used to doing if i can. I say in a semi-joking manner towards the girl as i take the offered vial of the second item she had been given remembering it quite clearly from the two other times i have taken the quest.

What about yourself Mina? Got any fancy way of introducing yourself like i did if you felt like it? I joking state towards the girl as i than start to make my way towards the quest without being needed to be told which one it is. Having memorized at the very least the beginning path that leads towards the quest destination, but not the exact since it changes locations ever so slightly with every new person that takes the quest.

A small bit of happiness flickered across Mina's face at the sight of the playful banter between Hestia and her familiar, which elicited a small chuckle from the pinkette. "Na, Naa..~ It's nice to see that people still interact with their familiars like actual pets~!" said Mina cheerfully, a smile playing across her face. Mina face-faulted a bit, however, when Hestia mentioned that she was a member of the holy dragon alliance, and a front-line clearer to boot. '... I... I don't even understand why higher leveled players even take a second glance at me..' she thought, biting her lip. 'I've gotta be one of the least interesting players for someone to have met... it's so depressing!' mina let out a tired-sounding sigh as Hestia apologized a bit for her over the top introduction. "Na, naa... It's fine, I've seen quite a few performers that act like that in order to impress people." she said, a hand over her face as she shook her head, "Though I am a bit curious as to why a member of a powerful front-liner guild is down here on the Newbie floors helping people? Most people from the front-liner guilds stay in the upper floors so that they can level up faster." Mina sweat-dropped at Hestia's question of whether or not she had a fancy introduction for herself. "... Eh..?! I'm not interesting at all!" she spluttered, "A-at least not in this world, but still! I'm just a level 10 noob that's working on quests down here..." Mina stared at the ground a bit, slightly embarrassed, before swiping open her menu, and sending Hestia a party invite.

I chuckle softly at the girl's excitement as i pet Kuro's head who nuzzles my head gently and affectionately despite his slightly prideful nature seemingly as i gaze towards the girl. He is not just my pet but my companion first and foremost he has kept me alive more times then i can count at this point. It is only natural that i talk to such a companion you know? I say towards the girl with a small chuckle as i happily continue to pet my familiar for a few more moments longer before i get back up onto my feet and gaze towards the girl known as Mina with a smile on my face. You aren't the first person to question me about that, and i have my reasons that are rather simple and straight forward. You guys who call yourself noobs and maybe are a bit unsure about the frontlines. You guys are our future people that can have a chance to live out life still and if i as my duties as a frontliner and protector of humanity, of the people who are trapped in Aincrad like myself. if i have the power that this game grants, and i don't use it to try and protect as many people as i can to help them reach the frontlines to stand beside myself and others. Than what am i even fighting for? What am i doing if i am not fighting alongside you all to make sure that you all get up towards the frontlines safely? To have the strength yourselves to fight and protect yourselves from mobs and killers alike. I say towards Mina with a fierce and determined look burning within my blue colored eyes as i stare directly into hers as i say what i say towards you with a nod of my head at the very end.

I look towards the girl and offers a smile and takes a step forward towards her and gently pats her shoulder. Everybody is interesting on some level whether you admit it or not. Their is a story to how you got to live up to this point, a story of the life before this game, of people that you know and have talked to. What you are level wise doesn't make you interesting it's what makes up you and your past that makes you interesting. I say towards the girl in a kind and gentle tone of voice.

Mina nodded when hestia said that Kuro, her familiar, was more than just a pet to her. "Na, naa.. I'm glad that you feel that way~!" she said, a cheerful smile on her face. "Players rarely treat NPC's or Familiars as more than what their code dictates they are, so it's a bit of a breath of fresh air to see players enjoy their company like that!" Mina chuckled a bit, a [censored]-eating grin on her face. "To be fair, I think one of my first interactions with any of the high ranking guilds in the game was with the KoB, and it was with Macrodon." she shook her head, A thoughtful expression replacing the wide grin. "I said something similar now that I think about it, but it was even weirder with Macrodon since the KoB isn't exactly known as a guild that helps out on the lower floors. It's strictly a Clearer guild with high-level players for the most part." Mina clapped her hands together, her grin returning. "Regardless of that, though. You still take the time to help out lower-leveled players? Then that makes you an OK person in my book!" Mina winced a bit when Hestia mentioned that everyone had a past that was worth sharing. "While I know that that sentiment is true... It doesn't mean that one would necessarily want to hear someone's past, especially if its a dark one like mine." She shrugged, before re-equipping her weapon. "Besides that, why don't we go ahead and get this over with? After we finish, I'll treat you to some whiskey at the local bar. It's surprisingly good for being in a video game!"

I mean i can't imagine myself not enjoying the company of Kuro he has been their for me through the good times and the bad times having been an eternal companion plus even if he is just code he has programs, emotions, feeling, and can understand what pain is. He is a living breathing creature as long as we're in this world and thus deserves the same respect as any other player would get within my mind. Even if the end i would always choose the player over the NPC just cause NPCs can respawn. I say with a nod of my head as i look towards the girl known as Mina with a small smile at hearing at least a small bit of her past of having met Macradon which makes sense since the man is the pinnacle of blacksmiths within the game and thus probably the first frontliner everyone meets. 'Except me mine was Itzal.' I think to myself ever so slightly amused at such a thought as i nod my head towards Mina's words of myself being a good person within her books. Stories deserve to be told Mina good, and bad since they all tell the tale of how you can to be who you are which can also tell and give advice on how to deal with things that might be too much for others. However, i can understand if you don't want to go over such dark thoughts so yeah lets get going and beat up those venom wargs that should be waiting for us Mina. I say kindly towards the girl still not equipping any combat gear to speak of just wearing the vanity clothing.

Mina nodded at Hestia's further talk about the positive influence of familiars, as well as the fact that they were great companions, even though they were little more than bits of coding in the end. They had emotions that were just as complex as a human's, if to a bit of a lesser extent. "Na, naa... I couldn't agree more, Hestia~!" she said cheerfully, "I'm glad that you view them like that, it's a nice point of view." She hummed to herself, before she started walking a bit down the path to the monsters, before stopping at Hestia's second remark. "Yes... I suppose that you would be right about that... " she murmured, a shadow covering a bit of her eyes. "Let's get going then, shall we..?" she continued on down the road, keeping her blade by her side. A thought ran through her mind that made her shiver a bit, but she kept moving forward, her outer appearance taking on a bit more of a stoic approach.

I nod my head at that at being told to continue moving forward while we're walking through the floor alongside the girl as i glance towards the girl with a curious look within my eyes. But yeah don't need to say anything about your past i can tell that you aren't comfortable doing so, but if you ever want or feel like doing so in the future i am always here to be a ear that you can talk to or a shoulder to cry on Mina. I say towards the girl that is just a stranger having never met her, but that not being something that could ever stop me from providing a emotional support or physical support towards another individual if they are in need of it. I slowly turn back towards the road as i slowly start humming part of my song that i have created slowly working on the melody part of the song that i have written down for myself as i slowly take out a notebook as i glance down at the words as i work on it.

Mina didn't pay as much attention as they walked along the road, her eyes still rather dim and gloomy. It still hurt a bit when she thought about what made her come to this world, but it was fine so long as she wasn't actively trying to cope with it. As it were, it really wasn't a can of worms that she had wanted to open. She perked up when she heard a chorus of howling and barking. There was a group of 4 wolves swarming a caravan, where a terrified NPC was hiding on top of the cart. Mina queued up Quadruple pain, and managed to do little more than scare them away from the NPC. The largest of the wolves was named Venomous snapper. Mina turned to Hestia. "Focus the Snapper rather than the normal wolves, I don't want to give it the opportunity to actually hit with its AoE attack." she said calmly, losing her usually playful manner of speaking.

I look over towards the wolf as they let out a low growl as i just shrug my shoulders and looks towards the enemy only having my shield on hand with me as i look over towards them with an amused look within my eyes knowing what is about to happen. Feeling like i want to impress today rather than anything else as i quickly activate howl targeting the enemies with a smile on my face. Come on face me you wolves and know that death awaits you! I say picking up the habit from shield with including some shout to accompany my howl skill as i look towards the wolves that charge towards me as i raise my shield towards them and feel three different impacts with two including red bits of pixels flying past me. The last just falling flat on its back i could imagine while the other just didn't attack out of fear most likely. You're up Mina. I say in a cheerful tone of voice not taking the fight seriously.

Mina let out a tired sigh when she realized that her new ally didn't even get to lift a finger and wolves were dying. 'I swear, she's gotta be at least at or near the exact same level as Itzal...' she thought, sweat-dropping at the thought. she shook her head vehemently, and held up her rapier. as there was no longer any wolves that were circling the caravan, she hurried over to the driver of it, a worried grimace on her face. "Naa.. I think you'd best get moving before they aggro on you again. I don't think you need to be hurt because of this." the man paused for a moment. "Y-yes miss, I believe I will. Don't let the damn creature kill you both"he then nodded, white-faced, and hastily made a retreat from the venom snapper and its remaining ally. "...This is... unusual to me.... I can't even land a hit, and you're killing them without even touching them... Just how high is your thorns damage, Hestia?" She let out a sigh of annoyance as she swiped at the Venom Snapper, the mob making a strange sound that resembled something laughing... how Annoying... She let out a frustrated growl, and made a rude gesture at the wolf, and muttered a curse under her breath. "So help me god I'll beat the [censored] out of that damn thing if i get my hands on it... It's TAUNTING me!!"

I look towards the venom snapper and the wolf that are still alive and calmly get within a battle ready stance with my shield upwards ready to block any attacks that would be sent over towards me just smiling ever so slightly at Mina's words. Well lets just say that being tier three with thorns pays off big time with my build since i can just keep up with at least a tier two DPS player with what i can do at points because of my thorns and actual attacks i can do with my sword. I say towards the girl with a smile upon my face as i than look back towards the snapper and wolf charging towards me as i just have my shield up ready to take any attack that would be heading towards me. However, to my surprise the venom snapper seemingly misses by a mile getting my attention through such a failure which opens me up to a minor hit from the wolf that chews into my gear and not doing any damage really since i heal it back practically instantly but it does avoid my shield and thus thorns.
