Embers 0 Posted April 11, 2019 Author #21 Share Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Embers thought the battle was over, and that it was done and dusted. She had completely forgotten about the Treant King but, lost in her blood rage, she turned to face the monster with a smirk on her face. Another thing that needed to die it seemed. Well, this was only gunna end badly for it! Spinning the Scythe in her hand, she looked at Neo slam into the monster and tear its health down. It was her turn! She took 4 large steps forwards, before throwing herself into the air and striking with her scythe, and her Sword Art, the blade connecting with its target. The girl let out a battlecry as it hit, and was extremely pleased...Until she landed on the ground and saw...how little damage she'd dealt! "The...The hell?! Why the hell did it lose NO Health! I know it connecte....Dammit it, what is the armour on that god-damn tree! I thought i'd of melted like it did for ya...Dammit i'm still to weak!" ID: 114548 BD: 8. Neopolitan 0 Posted April 16, 2019 #22 Share Posted April 16, 2019 Neo watched as Embers tried to harm the boss. It seemed though that she wasn't able to do that much damage though. It wasn't all that surprising, Neo thought that she was going to be able to take it down with a single hit. Alas, it wasn't quite enough. She began to circle around it for weak spots as the monster swung and failed to connect against Embers. There didn't seem to be any though. At the very least, she wanted to make sure that she could take it down effectively. But on the other hand, she was unsure if a weak spot was even what she should be searching for. Realistically, one more hit like that from her should be able to take it down. But what if it was only because she caught it by surprise that time. Perhaps it was shoring up its defenses even as it was wildly swinging at her party member. She continued to look for that final spot to hit. Embers 0 Posted April 29, 2019 Author #23 Share Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) Embers had no attempt to hide herself from the Treant King, even if she herself didn't do enough damage to the damn thing. The damn idiots mitigation was too much for her Scythe to get through it. However, her ally, Neo, could. All she had to do at this point, was keep its attention on her and she'd be doing her 'job' in the battle. After all, she may have loved a good fight, but this was nothing like that...This reminded her, in a way, about her old man and his mercs. Each had a job to do, and sometimes, that job sucked, but you did it anyway. Smirking, the girl threw herself forwards! It didn't matter she did no damage, it was her role to be the distraction. She did this, and Neo will clean it up. She lept onto the Treants body, swinging her Scythe with recklessness before leaping off and landing on the ground hard, a cocky grin on her face. "Well come on then tree! Hit me with your best damn shot! I can take whatever you've got!" The girl smacked her black armour, a metal clang echoing in the forest. It was time for him to die before her! ------------- ID: 115538 BD: 8. Neopolitan 0 Posted April 30, 2019 #24 Share Posted April 30, 2019 Neo just rolled her eyes as Embers tried to get the east's attention, but it did actually get something for her. An opening. It turned towards her party mate and it meant she could very quickly jump in and take it out. The beast disintegrated into dust and the quest was marked as complete for her. After stepping into the final area, Neo grabbed the item obtained from completing the quest and wordlessly tossed it over to Embers. It was probably too weak of an item for her to use, and she had a bad habit of not using consumables anyways so better to leave it in other's hands. With that, she disbanded the party and headed towards the main town once more. No point waiting around, but maybe the two of them could do another quest some time. She may be a little bit reckless, but there was heart in it. Much better than the stoicism that many of the front liners' offered.
