Summary:

Its that time of the year again, Easter! However... not everything is all fun and games, suspicious bosses have been found roaming the floors of 1, 11, and 21. On floor 1, Information Brokers have been going around informing low level players about a boss that had been seen roaming the plains of the first floor under the name "Furry, Fluffy Avenger". Not much information can be told about the boss, however it has been heard that the potential reward could be worth your time. Cooridinates are shared of where it has been seen last, however arriving upon the exact coordinates, the boss isn't to be found but a sign can be found that reads: "I want to play a little game! Come play hide and seek with me! ;) -Furry"

Alec again found himself wandering through the Town of Beginnings with his faithful friend and companion Humphrey by his side. He really didn't like this town. He'd spent far too much time here feeling helpless and useless as he tried to understand his surroundings and how to interact with it. Now that he was getting the hang of it he kept getting drawn back here. He had heard rumors on the Fourth Floor where he had been spending most if his time that he wasn't out questing and levelling. He liked it there it was quiet not many people went there and it snowed there, all the time. Alec had heard a rumour that there was a trio of new Event Bosses who had spawned one on each if the First, Eleventh and Twenty First floors. He was almost high enough level to try for the Eleventh Floor but not quiet high enough yet. He'd mist likely due if he tried so he found himself on the First Floor headed to the main gate to start his search for something called "Furry, Fluffy Avenger". Alec chuckled at the name but knew he was in for a fight especially if he went solo which had been how he'd done things so far.

Alec walked through the streets of the Town of Beginnings till he stood in the open courtyard just inside the main gate of the town. His pre exit ritual had become almost second nature to him by now. He reached out and with a quick downward swipe he opened his inventory and began scrolling through the items listed within. Alec reached out and tapped the icon for his heavy armor and watched as his shoulders shimmered and wavered before his Heavy Armor shoulder guards appeared on his shoulders. Next he reached out and touched the image for his Shield of the Thunderhearts and watched as the air around his forearm shimmered before his trusted shield appeared there. Finally he tapped the picture for his Mithril Battle Axe and poked the button causing the air near his hand to waver as a heat mirage before he held his mirror finished Battle Axe.

Finally Alec contiued to scroll through his items as he began picking his Battle Ready Items slots. He knew this fight was liable to be tougher than any other he'd faced so far so he chose a few extra items to hopefully give him the edge he'd need to win. First he chose two stacks of Tier 1 Healing Potions to keep him alive in case the fight turned to be more than Humphrey could support him in.  Next he chose one of his newly purchased Immolation Potions which he had bought from Dagger the Merchant. Finally he chose his Matriarch's Stinger from when he'd done the Wasp Queen quest. A little extra damage couldn't hurt he thought. He had one slot open and wished terribly he'd been able to find some Mitigation food or a potion but he hadn't seen any in any of the shops he'd visited lately so with a sigh and a shrug he closed his inventory and sealed his decision.

As Alec made his way out of the Town of Beginnings and through the grasslands headed for the location he'd heard the Event Boss spawned at he looked down at his friend and faithful travelling companion Humphrey and smiled. "How you feeling pal?" Alec asked in his deep baritone voice. "This our first time hunting an Event Boss. This could get dicey and dangerous you ready for this?" he asked the American Black Bear cub who walked along beside him through the tall grass. Humphrey responded by rearing up onto its hind legs and letting out the loudest most assured growl he'd ever heard cone from his companion as the bear cub pawed at the air as if boxing an invisible foe. The confidence made Alec smile as it boosted his resolve knowing Humphrey had faith in him and supported him in this endeavor. Aleve reached out and wrapped an arm around the bear cubs thick neck and gave a rough but very warm and loving hug in appreciation.

After some time spent walking Alec and Humphrey found themselves standing in a small clearing that Alec's map showed was supposed to be the spawning point for the Event Boss but instead of a creature there was only a small hand painted wooden sign stuck in the ground. The sign was painted in pastel colors and read. "I want to play a little game! Come play hide and seek with me! ;) -Furry"

Alec read the sign and shook his head with a sigh. Of course it wouldn't be as simple as that he thought to himself. "Well Humphrey." Alec said as he opened his inventory and selected his first buff potion and uncorked it draining the redish orange cinnamon flavoured liquid of the Immolation Potion and quickly followed it with the green viscous liquid of the Matriarch's Stinger. "Gack! Ugh! Yuck!" Alec exclaimed. "Next time Immolation Potion is last." he exclaimed as he looked to Humphrey. "Looks like it's hide and seek time now." Alec said as he began searching the edges of the meadow.

After Alec downed his two buffing potions he closed his inventory and began his search for the elusive Event Boss who wanted to play hide and go seek. Alec began searching around the edges of the sunny field looking for the Event Boss known as Furry, Fluffy Avenger. Once he thought he heard a noise from behind one of trees at the edge of the clearing but when he burst around the tree he saw nothing. Alec smiled to himself of course it wasn't going to be that easy. It wouldn't even be worth it really if it was. Alec looked over to Humphrey who was also walking around sniffing the ground and peering around trees. "Find anything over there pal?" Alec called out loudly to his friend and companion.

Having exhausted his search if the sunny meadow Alec began to broaden his search as he began hunting through the trees surrounding the clearing.

Alec continued his search for the Event Boss known as Furry, Fluffy Avenger. He searched in a spiral search pattern starting from the sunny field where the Boss was said to spawn at but it appeared shinanigans were a foot and he was going to need to hunt to find it. So hunt he would. Alec searched high and low. He peered around trees and behind bushes. As he searched he began to feel like he was getting colder and moving away from where he was supposed to be searching. Alec looked over to Humphrey. "You find anything yet pal?" he called over loudly but Alec only got an unhappy grumble in response to his question from the bear cub. Alec nodded in response to the bear cub as he redoubled his efforts to find Furry the Easter Event Boss. He would find this creature and destroy it he vowed to himself it was another step in his quest to join the Front Lines and he'd mount every step till he stood there.

Alec continued his search for the Event Boss Furry, Fluffy Bunny. He had searched in the sunny clearing where his map said the Boss would spawn but he had found nothing there so he had begun to extend his search and had started searching the surrounding trees but had found not hide nor hair if the Event Boss so far but Alec refued to be deterred. He redoubled his efforts and put his nose to the proverbial grind stone and continued his search he would not be disuaded it his efforts he told himself. This Boss could hide yes but only for so long. Eventually Alec would find it and once he did he would defeat it. That he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt. Nothing would stand in his way of his goal of reaching the Front Lines Assault Team and defeating this game finally allowing him to rejoin his family and see his wife and son again.

So far Alec's search for the Event Boss known as Furry, Fluffy Avenger had yielded nothing yet but Alec was far from defeated. He had only just begun to search and he had no intentions of giving up yet that was for sure. He continued to hunt high and low to poke and prod to peek and peer but still he found nothing this darned Boss was a sneaky son of a gun that was for sure Alec thought to himself as he continued this game of cat and mouse if hide and seek. He could just imagine some weird fluffy Easter Bunny looking creature hiding behind a tree behind him giggling its fuzzy bunny butt off at him looking for it. Then an idea popped into his head. An ingenious devious idea that caused a hard smile to overtake his face as his eyes gleamed with determination and a new found sense if resolve.

A genius devious idea sprung into Alec's head. When Danny had been younger and they'd played hide and go seek just like this there had been one sure fire way to find him and the thought brought a hard grim to Alec face as he stood up with a bewildered look upon his face and turned his head from side to side with a glass eyed look in his eyes. "Oh deer!" Alec exclaimed loudly with an over exaggerated shrug of his broad shoulders. "What ever will I do?!?" Alec yelled louder. "I fear I'll never find the Furry, Fluffy Avenger! It's much to good of a hider for me to find that's fir sure!" he continued growing louder and more exaggerated the farther he went. "Guess that bunny wins!" Alec continued. Usually by now Danny would have been dying with peals of rolling laughter. Guess this Event Boss was a little better disciplined than a small child Alec thought.

So the fake surrender trick hadn't worked that was fine Alec thought to himself. Had he really expected a small child's trick to work in this situation? It had been worth a try but he hadn't put any real stock in it working either. So Alec took a deep breath and tried another approach. "HEY YOU STUPID ACE PANSY!" Alec bellowed out at the top of his lungs. "I'D BE HIDING TOO IF I WERE AS STUPID AND WEAK AS YOU! YOU KNOW DARN WELL THE SECOND YOU SHOW YOUR STUPID FACE IM GONNA FREAKING KICK IT IN!" Alec walked farther still searching for the Event Boss but mainly hoping to Taunt the creature into showing itself to him and coming our of hiding to confront him and alleviate the need for him to search and find the creature. Alec continued his taunting and searching method for a bit longer but he still came up with nothing to be found. You're a whiley one Furry, yes you are Alec thought to himself as he continued his search.

"STILL SCARED AND AFRAID I SEE!" Alec bellowed deeply into the surrounding air. "KEEP HIDING YOU STUPID P.O.S.! I KNOW YOU'RE AFRAID AND YOU SHOULD BE CAUSE IF I FIND YOU IM GONNA DESTROY YOU!! JUST ME AND MY PAL HUMPHREY ALONE! YOU HEAR ME FURRY! I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER AND WHEN I FIND YOU I'M CALLING IN YOUR MARKER AND TAKING YOU OUT!" Alec continued to yell as he searched through the First Floor of Aincrad hunting down the Event Boss known as Furry, Fluffy Avenger. As Alec continued his search and taunting approach he was sure he saw something behind a tree off to his side and as he charged around behind it he could have sworn he saw a flash of fur disappear around the next tree. Alec charged forward continuing his search for Furry. He was close he could feel it. It was only a matter of time before he cornered the creature then it belonged to him.

Alec continued to track the noises and sounds he heard from tree to tree. He was hot in the trail of the Event Boss. He was so close he could taste it. He could smell the smell of its fur he was so close to it, as he continued to stalk his prey silently now. He had spooked his target and now he followed and waited till it miss stepped then Alec would pounce. He continued his tracking of the creature he heard a twig break here, a branch rustle there, behind that tree he caught another glimpse of fur dash around the next tree each step he took brought him closer and closer to the Event Boss as he stalked it through the woods as a hunter does its prey and that's what this creature was Alec's prey and soon he would strike. Finally Alec stalled around a large tree and there standing before him was a smallish odd looking creature standing in the middle of a clearing. It was purple with white tufts of fur and a banner over its head <<Furry, Fluffy Avenger>>.

Alec rounded the last tree and found himself standing at the edge of another clearing with the Event Boss standing in the center before him. Alec reached down and drew his Mithril Battle Axe from the loop at his hip and twisted it till he found a comfortable grip as he raised his shield up before him his eyes drifting down to the inscription. "When the tide rises, become the storm." Alec intoned softly through gritted teeth. "Today the storm comes for you furry." Alec growled as he called on the energy to power a Sword Art. As the energy poured through him and into his Mithril Battle Axe it began to glow and as the power increased so to did the glow till it felt like he and his axe we're near bursting. Alec let out a bellow of challenge as he leaped forward his axe raised above him as if to the heavens crackling and sparking with lightning as it danced across the surface of his weapon. As he landed he brought his axe down in a powerful strike.

As Alec flew through the air his Battle Axe glowing and trailing lightning he brought his weapon down in a powerful swung and sank into Furry's body and opened a gash that released purple pixels into the air as he pulled the mirrored head if his axe free if the wound. Furry let out a squeal of anger as it drew back a slashed at Alec with a paw. Alec brought his shield up and managed to block a majority if the attack but the strike trailed off the edge of Alec's shield and caught him on the shoulder opening a cut there. As Furry struck Alec's shield began to hum then SNAP it arced out and shocked the Boss with a charge if static electricity as a burst of fire exploded from Alec charing Furry at the same time.

Alec buried his axe in Furry after an epic leap through the air like in one of those Gladiator movies. As his axe bit into the Boss it surged and exploded with the lightning charging it. As Alec pulled his axe free purple pixels flew from the wound created in to the Boss. Furry reared back and slashed at Alec with a claw. Alec maneuvered his shield to block the attack but as the Bosses claw dragged across his shield it found purchase and dug into his shoulder opening a cut there that released red pixels to match the purple. Alec pulled his axe back and took a breath calling on the energy to power another Sword Art as he drew the energy through him and into his weapon causing it to begin to glow and crackling with lightning dancing across his weapon again as the power increased within the weapon. When the power reached a point of near bursting Alec swung his axe down again at the Event Boss.

Alec swung down at Furry but lost his focus at the last minute and released the stored energy too soon to splash harmlessly into the air. Furry slashed at Alec again but he moved his shield around and blocked the strike easily deflecting it to the side.

Alec powered up his axe again but when he swung he released the energy too soon and it sailed harmlessly away into the air. Furry pulled its arm back and swung a claw at Alec but he brought his shield up to block the claw attack directed at him keeping the Boss's claws at bay.

Alec tried to draw on the energy to power another Sword Art but as he reached out for it it was like trying to capture air with his bare hands as it slipped through his fingers and refused to flow through him. Furry pulled its paw back and slashed at Alec again seeking to slice open his flesh. Alec shifted his shield up to block the Boss's claws as it scraped across the surface if his shield before it travelled up over the edge and caught Alec in the face opening done cuts there. As Furry made contact with Alec's shield it again began to hum till SNAP it arced out a charge of static electricity to shock the Boss with static electricity at the same time as Alec himself burst with an overwhelming heat and ball if fire that singed and charred Furry once more.

Alec tried to call on the energy to power another Sword Art but the energy refused to come to him and answer his call. He grasped and groped but he could not grasp the energy as it flowed away from him. Furry swung out a claw and after dragging across Alec's shield it slashed him across his face opening some small cuts there before his shield released another charge of static electricity and Alec himself released a burst of fire after being damaged by the Boss.

Alec's focus was waning as he reached out again to grasp the energy for a Sword Art but again the energy refused his summons. Fine he thought to himself I'll do this my way then come Bunny keep hitting me I can take it. Furry slashed out again and caught Aleve on the side with it's claws open another series of cuts there that released more of Alec's red pixels of life force. But not before his Shield of the Thunderhearts began to hum before SNAP again it arced out and shocked the Boss as Alec also again expelled a burst of flame and heat after being struck by Furry.

Alec tried again to harness the energy to power a Sword Art but again the energy refused to come to him and left him alone. Fine he thought I'll do this on my own that's fine. The Boss lashed out at Alec and sank its claws into his side as he moved his shield to deflect a majority of the damage directed his way. As Furry contacted his shield it again arced and shocked the Boss with static electricity while Alec also expelled a burst of fire and heat after Furry struck him and caused him damage.

Alec raised his shield before him as he stared at the Boss over its edge with gritted teeth. As the Boss came forward Alec raised his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder and swing down sinking the mirrored head into Furry but with barely enough force to break the skin but as the sharpened edge broke its skin Alec shield began a low hum that ended with a loud CRACK that sent a leave surge of static electricity into Furry that caused its muscles to seize and lock up Paralyzing the Event Boss.As Alec struck he felt a warm tingling glow spread through his body and infuse his body and soul with warm healing energy.

Alec swung down at Furry and as his axe head broke the skin if the Boss his shield began a low hum that ended with a loud CRACK that locked up the Boss's muscles Paralyzing it for a short time. As Furry began to regain control of its muscles Alec took a deep breath to center himself and calm his nerves as he began to draw on the energy to try and power another Sword Art.

Alec raised his shield up in front of him to protect himself from the Boss and its attacks as he drew his Mithril Battle Axe up and over his shoulder and prepared to swing at the Boss when it dropped its guard. Alec reached out to grasp at the energy but again it evaded his grasp. Furry lashed out with its claws and swiped at Aleve but he maneuvered his shield to deflect most if the attack only receiving a series of cuts on his shoulder. As Furry's claws drug across his shield it began to hum then SNAP it zapped the Boss with a burst if static electricity. As Furry's claws dug into Alec's flesh he too burst with an explosion of fire and heat that burned the Boss.

As the Event Boss gathered itself to attack Alec once again reached out to embrace the energy to power a Sword Art but again the elusive energy was as ephemeral as smoke when Alec tried to grasp it. Instead Alec raised his shield and hunkered down ready to receive the blow from Furry. The Boss swiped out with its claws and scraped them across Alec's shield as he pressed it forward to block the strike. It's claw sank into his shoulder as they finished their swing and dug into his shoulder leaving jagged tears where they landed. As Furry contacted Alec's shield it burst with electricity just as Alec burst with fire from the attack.

Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe out but the hoppy Event Boss dodged under his swing causing him to miss with his axe. In return Furry struck out with its claws dinking them into Alec's side after he had managed to block them away from his more vital organs they sought. As Furry's contacted his shield it responded with a hum and CRACK as it zapped the Boss with static electricity. As soon as the Boss's claws dug into his flesh Alec burst with a blast of heat and fire that burned the Boss when it damaged him.
