A quiet sigh came from her though and she nodded. "I'm so very sorry Koga." But upon the mention of food and town safety, he was on his feet and ready to go. She didn't exactly blame him there, but she knew that she needed to craft this item. "Okay, I craft, then afterwards, we go and get food because you deserve it." Yeah, that was her plan of action right now. Quickly, yet carefully, she led their way back to town and to the Artisan's shop where she had gotten the quest. Showing the materials, she was given a spot to try to craft. She went over to the crafting table and she commenced to attempting to make a small trinket from one of the materials that she had gained on the quest. After a while, she failed the craft, but not horribly, the materials were able to be salvaged at least. "Go ahead, try again." Noct nodded lightly as she tried once more, only to have that blow up in her face, literally. She looked over at Koga, half expecting him to be laughing. "Sorry for what?" Koga asked as they started to walk back towards the town. She hadn't done anything that warranted an apology. As far as he could tell, she had no reason to apologize. ----- Back in the town, Noctua was trying her hand at crafting for the first time ever in a game. The first try was a bust, but at least Noctua was able to salvage her materials, so that was better than nothing. "This might take a while..." "No worries, take your time. Not like I got anywhere to be." Koga said with a shrug. He was sitting up on a table near the corner of the shop, watching as the woman attempted to create a trinket. Aside from the twiddling of his thumbs, Koga just sat there allowing his mind to wander. Soon enough, Noctua would be stuck in his place anyways. She really was sorry on that front, and it was taking everything in her power to not turn around and grovel at his feet at the moment. But instead, she kept heading back to the town. --- Okay, this was not going well for her at all. Koga didn't seem to mind the wait thankfully. She didn't know what to say to him though, so instead of trying to pester her brain for a reply, she instead focused on trying to make this trinket that she needed for the darned quest. But that wasn't going over very well at all for her, and it was actually disheartening. Did the system do this when it thought that someone wasn't going to be the right fit for the craft? Either way, she was soon failing an attempt, started over again, failed the next attempt, started again, and failed the next attempt. Three straight failures that resulted in her losing the materials. "Noct, you didn't drag my ass out here. I came with you voluntarily. You don't need to apologize for that. We're both alive, that's all that matters. Don't worry about it," he told her with a tone of honesty. As far as Koga was concerned, as long as his friends made it back in one piece, everything was okay. He'd rather be out in the field fighting alongside them and making sure that they were okay than sitting in the Town of Beginnings and waiting. He wasn't going to let another one of his friends die, never again. ------ Noctua tried again, to even less favorable results. She was getting visibly discouraged too, which was never good. Koga got up from his spot on the table and went over to the woman, resting a hand on her shoulder, "Hey, don't sweat it. RNG sucks balls sometimes. Try again. Failure. Try again. Failure. There seemed to be no actual win to this. She put her head in her hands to take a moment and breath. She wanted to figure out what she might be doing wrong to mess this craft up. It should be simple. Hell, she even felt like the NPC was boring dagger like holes into her with his eyes. She nearly jumped though when she felt Koga's hand on her shoulder and she looked at him. he had a point, RNG sucked, and right now, it seemed to royally suck. Or just hate her. Could RNG just hate her? But, still she nodded and sighed lightly. "Right RNG...sucks. Are you sure it's not hatred?" Okay, Noct, you need to get these thoughts out of your mind. Instead, just focus on the craft. Attempt again. You can do it. Koga encouraged Noctua. Three more fails sure sucked, but if she kept going at it, eventually she would get the craft. With any luck, she would get it soon. Koga was more worried about her losing all her materials than anything else. He guessed that the quest giver would just give her more, but he wasn't exactly eager to find out. Koga was even less eager to do this himself soon enough. But the sooner that the pair got their profession quests done, the sooner they could get a shop up and going...and once the shop was up, they wouldn't have to pay for inn rooms anymore. Admittedly, it wouldn't be lavish, but it would mean not dumping coin into the pockets of someone else. @Noctua Link to post Share on other sites

It was a nice thing really, and it did give her a nice amount of confidence. "Right, let's work on allowing me to laugh at RNG then." There was a small smile on her face as she attempted to craft this trinket that she wanted once more. But it failed, again. But, she didn't get disappointed this time, instead, she gained more determination. Pushing aside the failed attempt, she grabbed a silver ingot and started to chip away at it. After maybe two hours of work, she finally had a completed project. The NPC came over and looked at it and nodded. "That is a perfect trinket if I have ever seen one. Well done and welcome to the Artisan ranks." With that, the quest showed completed before it disappeared and she looked at Koga happily.
