Wait...wait...wait...now! Koga's blade glinted in the moonlight before glowing with a crimson light, Tsuji Kaze channeled through the cold steel. He rushed forward, his blade trailing just behind him, cutting through the air before biting into flesh. The Zombie's health bar went yellow with that strike, and the Zombie, enraged, flailed about more violently than before. It's flesh hung limply from bones, with each drop of HP melting more and more flesh. Koga hadn't noticed that before now. Only a couple more attacks, and this fight would be over. He could go home and rest. He could work on figuring out how to get to the frontlines and free himself and Noctua. He could work on figuring out what to do once they were both out. So much to do, so much to do, and not enough time, it felt like. Around the Zombie. Koga was really wishing he'd brought that energy drink with him. The Zombie flailed around attempting to strike Koga. The man ducked around his enemy. This was getting really old really fast...Koga's writer had no clue how he was going to do this for another three posts... The sounds of the Nightmare Festival echoed around him as Koga combated the final Zombie. Or more specifically avoid getting hit in the face long enough to attack again. Should he attack with a Han'ei and hope for a critical hit? Or should he just wait and go for the Tsuji Kaze? Either way, the chances of this fight ending in a reasonable amount of time that didn't destroy the last of the writer's sanity was slim to none. Yeah, no he couldn't do it, he was gonna chance the crit and hope to God he procced some damage over time effects. The swordsman channeled a Han'ei through his katana. He planted his feet into the ground and attacked...only to miss...the blade cut the air just in front of the Zombie's face. Koga swore, only to be cut short as the Zombie's flailing arms slapped the man across the face...painfully... Koga's writer had burned himself out at this point in the thread...he was up until five in the morning doing this thread, and it was still going. Koga's writer channeled all of this tired frustration into Koga and made the poor boy slash out at the Zombie, missing again...damn it...wehat else could he do at this point except wait. And hope. And pray to hit something, please for the love of God...hit something. Amazing...he missed again. He was refreshed, and he had a plan to get this thread over with as quickly as possible...time to get rolling...and it was a critical fail. GOD FREAKING DAMN IT. A long string of expletives came out of the writer's mouth...okay...moving on to the writing. Koga didn't care anymore if he killed this Zombie. He had no reason anymore. Even more so, he had reasons to not kill it, namely to get out and and get home. Sure, maybe he could kill it, but it wasn't worth the time. Koga turned around to disengage, but no sooner had he done that, the Zombie grabbed onto the man's arm. Koga yanked his arm from the Zombie's grasp, but not before long, angry red scratches appeared across his arm. His health bar dropped slightly, and Koga kicked the Zombie away...okay...well that hadn't worked all that well... One away are you kidding me?! Oh, crap wait, I get modifiers! It puts the LD at a sixteen! Thank god! When Koga had away the last Zombie he did a complete one-eighty and just started sprinting. He started sprinting and he didn't look back. He ran through the hordes of Zombies around him, all reaching out to grab him and pull him in to join there ranks. But not today (Satan...I'm sorry I'm delirious at this point)! The man shoved and pushed aside the undead in his path until finally, he saw the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. He burst through the edge of the horde and kept running until he couldn't run any longer. Finally...he was free. Koga collapsed on the ground, closed his eyes and lay there, chest heaving air in and out of his lungs. After a moment of respite, the man opened his eyes back up and stared back up at the night sky. Barring the terrified screams in the distance, it was quiet a pretty view. Welp...he still had a bunch of Spider Ciders...they shouldn't go to waste. Koga sat there and spent the remainder of the night watching the stars and drinking a total of nine Spider Ciders...they really weren't that bad once you got past the eighth one.
