The boars were still on her heels, but she didn't want to stop at this point, so she just kept running. After a few more minutes, the boars gave up the chase. She didn't stop running though, just in case. She wasn't about to take any chances really. That would spell bad luck for her health. So, she ran maybe another mile before she finally slowed down and looked behind her. There was no sight of the boars, so Lethia found a rock and she sat down, panting for her breath.

"Noxyl...no more animal attacking for you..." The snake looked at Lethia for a moment before curling up into a ball to let her relax and catch her breath. Well, at least he was being nice to her right there. but, the fact that she was out of breath was still his fault. The snake just wasn't seeing it that way at all at this point.

Noxyl didn't warn her as he soon moved and attempted to bite at the rock. Only, the snake failed. She didn't understand what just came over the snake, but she knew that this was going to be a long day. At least, they still had most of it to be able to train. There was nothing wrong with failing, right? Honestly, there shouldn't be, because if there was, Lethia was a hypocrite since she failed at her own first attempt at things. Nephthys is still alive after all.

But enough of that, instead, she bent down and picked the snake up, "You'll learn eventually. Even if we have to come back tomorrow." She sighed as she thought about having to come back to train the snake, but for now, as she said, they still had time. So, once she was certain that she had her breath, she started to walk once more.

The walk was peaceful, and for once, she didn't seem to mind it. Perhaps it was because she was still trying to fully catch her breath and wits after that failed fight with the two boars. She was starting to think though, she really needed to up her damage. Which was half the reason why she was training Noxyl to be a fighter pet. She wanted that extra damage. But she didn't think that it was going to actually take this darned long to accomplish that.

but the peaceful part of the walk was soon ended when she saw a monster icon coming right for her, and with some kind of anger in it's ways. Almost as if she just threw a rock at it's nest. She stopped and she braced herself, knowing that she wasn't going to be able to move fast enough to dodge. Now, what she didn't expect was for this wasp to pack a punch, because it did, and she instantly knew that this was another lost fight.

But that wasn't going to stop her from trying to attack, and missing horribly in the process.

She wasn't going to run just yet. She was still going to try. Perhaps it's hits were hard but it's health was low. That would be a blessing that just wasn't going to happen though right. She watched the wasp carefully, she wanted to see what the wasp was about to do. But of course, this was also so that she could try and dodge it as well. She could manage that much, right? She could hope so really.

She made sure that Noxyl was still out of the way, just before her gaze noticed that the wasp was moving at her once more. She waited, and waited, and at the last moment, she moved to the side. A little too close there Nicky. She chastised herself just before she started to run around the wasp, stabbing it twice. It had health, and a lot of it. She could tell by the lack of damage that she just did to the wasp.

Okay, she needed to focus, not focusing was how she got into this mess in the first place now right? She kept a very watchful eye on the wasp, wanting to make sure that she was going to hit the darned thing. As she lunged for it, she did hit, but, again, not much damage came off of the wasp. She cursed under her breath, looking at the slightly useless snake that was now curled on a rock. Figures.

She backed away from the wasp quickly, and watched as it seemed to just flail about, trying to find its balance. Did she manage to hit one of its wings? If so, that was going to make things so much easier. She watched as its balance was still off as it tried to come and hit her, only for her to easily move out of its way. That was simple enough thankfully.

You even have that moment when you fail so gloriously at something, that it's absolutely hilarious? No? Well, Lethia just had one of those moments. She lunged to attack the Wasp again, only to end up tripping gloriously over her own familiar. She fell face-first into the ground, but it seemed to work in her favor because even the wasp ended up missing. Without even getting up, she just looked at the snake.

"You know, you'd be much more helpful if you didn't try to slither under my feet." Noxyl just looked at her and made a hissing sound before she stood up. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can be just as mean as me. No need to show off." She rolled her eyes but seemed to smile a bit before she brushed herself off of any dirt and picked her dagger back up. "Let's see about finishing this shall we Noxyl? Or do you think we should run?" The snake gave her a look and she nodded, "Yeah, let's try once more."

"Alright, let's try this again." She focused back on the wasp after making sure that Noxyl was sitting somewhere where he wasn't going to get under her feet. She didn't feel like tripping over him, again. She moved further away from the snake before she lunged for the wasp, only for it to have moved right as she attacked, making her miss horribly. She sighed, and barely heard the fluttering wings of the wasp before she jumped out of the way, barely avoiding the stinger on the wasp. "Alright, this obviously isn't working out. Noxyl, get ready to escape." She looked at the snake who was now moving over to her. That meant that she was about to carry him out of this encounter, lazy snake. She kept her gaze on the snake though, and waited for the right moment to be able to move. She only hoped that this was going to work.

Once Noxyl was within grabbing distance, she quickly bent down and grabbed the snake, before turning and running. While she managed to get away from the wasp, one negative thing did happen. She got lost. After a few minutes of running, she slowed to a walk, then a stop. She looked around, and mentally cursed. How could she get lost on the first floor of places. She sighed though and looked at Noxyl as he started to climb up her arm to wrap around her shoulders. "That's going to be your favorite place, isn't it?" The snake seemed to stick his tongue out with a small, but non-hostile hiss, which made Lethia chuckle. "Fine then, I guess you can stay there. But only if you are going to prove to be useful alright?" The snake just looked at her before a scale rubbing sound was heard. "Well then, you don't like that idea." Perhaps, just perhaps, Lethia has found herself a friend who won't leave her side.

After a bit more walking, she started to think that she was finally making her way back to an area that looked familiar to her. In fact, there was a tiny mouse that was just carelessly eating something, and it made Lethia smile. "Let's try again shall we Noxyl? Attack the mouse." The snake moved so that he could be lowered to the ground by Lethia. She watched as the snake seemed to quietly slither it's way over to the mouse. Soon enough, Noxyl lunged at the mouse and attacked it, and even managed to kill it. That was great, and it made Lethia smile brightly as she walked over to the snake, who was now eating its prey. "I see, you attack better when you're hungry." She laughed, a sound that was foreign to even her, but she didn't care this far away from others. "Good job Noxyl, one more try, and we might be able to go home."

She had picked up Noxyl and started to walk some more after the attack on the mouse. She knew that the snake wasn't going to want to move after eating that large meal. As she walked, she absentmindedly stroked the snakes head lightly. It was kind of relaxing and calming, which was probably the weirdest thing to her as she thought about it. But at the same time, at least there was something that had this kind of effect on her? That was a good thing, right? Perhaps she won't want to go on that killing spree after all? Hah, as if. She was determined to get stronger and do what she can to prove that people don't just die in real life for dying in a video game. Besides, if that did happen, wouldn't it be a good thing in the real word too? Less stupid people who would go into a game like this.

What she didn't want to hear or be told was that she was one of those stupid people who got them stuck in this game. But, she was at least smart enough to not have to worry about things. Instead, she was more worried about how she can prove it to others that they weren't going to die. She didn't want to be told otherwise, because that means that she didn't get to fully make sure that she didn't have to deal with Madeline, outside this game. There was an eye roll that came next when she thought about that soft woman. Something needed to be done about her, but Lethia wasn't strong enough. She's seen what Nephthys has been training as, and well, Lethia was going to need more skills to be able to make it past that spear. So, that was why she was getting her familiar, and next, she was thinking of leveling her dagger skill more, and then start training in stealth. That should make things fun.

The walked seemed to be doing her well, her mind was clearly, kind of. She wasn't making plans, but she was more just figuring out what she could do to become stronger. She wasn't about to ditch the dagger though, it was fast, she just needed to get a stronger one. Perhaps that would be the next thing that she works on. She could work on making herself better armor, she was a tailor for that exact reason. But, she was nowhere near the best blacksmith out there to be able to make a great weapon. She might just need to go back to town and work on finding someone who will either have one, or be able to make her one.

Her thoughts were stopped though when she heard a low growl. She looked around and saw the wolf, and quickly ran to it, hitting it and taking a small chunk of health off of the monster. Yeah, she really did need a new weapon. She can at least say that her dodging was on par as she jumped back from the bite that the wolf just attempted at her.

She didn't seem to be doing too bad at least, so that was a good thing. But, as she went to attack the wolf again, it was faster than her, and manage to move out of the way. Instead of hitting the wolf, she ended up hitting a tree. That didn't feel great. At least though, the wolf had lost its own footing when dodging her attack, so it wasn't able to attack her. Instead, it seemed to whimper as it started to stand, which let her know that it was injured. But possibly not injured enough since its health didn't drop at all. It stayed the same, but it was at least favoring one of its legs. That was hopefully going to give her an advantage when she goes to attack again. For now though, she pushed herself off of the tree and turned to face the wolf, watching for the next opening.

Alright, she was on her feet, she was settled, this was going to go perfectly. But, what she didn't account for was the wolf being back on its feet and ready to move before she was. By the time she had actually righted herself, she was being tackled by the wolf. The moment her back hit the ground, the wolf bit her arm and she screamed out for a moment before she shoved her back foot into the wolf's stomach, throwing it off of herself. She scrambled to her feet, anger flashing in her eyes as she rushed for the wolf. "You're so dead for that." She had to switch arms that her dagger was in, but that didn't stop her from hitting the wolf. It wasn't a big hit like the wolf had gotten on her, but it was big enough to put its health into the red. That was a good sign for her.

She turned around fast enough to notice where the wolf was. It was apparently trying to get its bearings from her fast attack right then. She took this as a moment in her favor and she quickly attacked it again. Only, it didn't die. "Why won't you just die already!" If it was going to take this long for her to kill a wolf, she couldn't even imagine how long it was going to take to kill a player. Perhaps she should think about her goals again. Nah, that wasn't going to happen. She turned just in time to catch the wolf's attack on her left leg, at least it wasn't the same arm as before, it hurt enough right now after all. That was the biggest downfall to what the Game Master did to this game, making the pain real. She hated it when it was done to her, but hearing it happen to others made her smirk. Something really was wrong with her.

She was starting to get really tired of this wolf, and its apparent immunity to her attacks. So, once the opportunity arose, she lunged and hit the wolf right in the chest. That was when it turned red and vanished. "Thank god." She sat on the ground then, not wanting to really move at this point. She was tired, but thankfully only missing ten health points. She looked at Noxyl, who was slowly making his way over to her, and she laid back on the ground. "You know, once you are trained to help me fight, this should become so much easier." There was a gentle hiss before the snaked curled into a ball by her leg. It seemed like the both needed to have that tiny little break to catch their breath and energy. It made sense to her. Noxyl was probably still in a food coma from the mouse, and she was just tired from the fighting that wasn't going well.

She was still laying on the ground after a few minutes. Her health was back to full now, so that was good, and her energy was slowly regaining as well. That was alright, she had no plans on fighting anything else today. Of course, as she thought that, she, and Noxyl, both heard something rustling. The snake was faster though, not even needing a command from Lethia at this point apparently. She heard a hiss and then a snarl, this made Lethia get up and quickly get ready to attack something, when she saw that Noxyl was attacked to a wolf's leg for a moment before letting go. The wolf, well it ran away after the bite, and Noxyl made his way back to Lethia. She smiled and rubbed the snakes head, "Good job bud. Let's go home. I don't know about you, but I want some sleep." She sat up and was soon on her feet, picking up the snake in the process.

As she walked, Noxyl made his way back up onto her shoulders, wrapping himself there as if he were a scarf. She was happy, her familiar was trained, and now she was going to be just that much stronger than she already was. That was a good thing really, it meant that she didn't need to worry about things going wrong, or at least, not as wrong as horrible. "How does a mouse sound when we get home?" Noxyl turned his head and looked at her, an irritated hiss came from him which made her chuckle. "Alright, so you're still in that food coma, got it. Thank you though, for making sure I didn't die at least." That earned her a snake head rubbing against her own for a moment, almost as if the snake was a cat rubbing its head on Lethia's. It was strange, but oddly nice, she didn't think she'd keep Noxyl from doing that in the future.

Town was just in the distance, and the sun was starting to officially set. She quickened her pace a bit as she walked, wanting to be sure that she wasn't out too late, some monsters have gotten stronger once the sun sets. She didn't want to be out and about when that time comes, it sounded like a match that she wasn't ready for. In other words, a match not made in heaven. Noxyl seemed to second her feeling, because he was looking around, trying to see what it was that he was able to find. Thankfully, they spotted nothing as they started to get closer to the town. Soon, she was able to smell the food, or so she thought, she knew for certain that she was able to hear the bustling movements and conversations of those who never left. She was almost in the safety of that town, and she couldn't wait.

The moment her feet crossed the threshold of the town, she slowed down and started to walk to the tavern. She wanted some food and a drink. That sounded good right now. But, the other thing that happened was a quest completion notification and a statement of what she got. She looked at Noxyl and smirked, "Look at that Noxyl, you're officially a fighter. How does that feel?" The snake was fast asleep though, and didn't make any kind of notion of waking up. Lethia decided then that she should just head to her shop, that would be the best thing at this point, and it would be good for Noxyl. She didn't want to scare him by him waking up and her being in a loud tavern. The walk was quiet, but she was starting to think once more on how she was going to start working on her build once more.
