[SP-F03] <<Escape>>

Recommended Posts

The guard was dead. Deader than dead. Since being dead still meant you left something behind, a body of some sort- or a memory. Loved ones...but the guard left behind nothing, nothing but the sweet, sweet sound of silence. No body here. Mari dusted her hands once, twice, thrice. Then. Just for ultra good measure, she did it again. Glad to be rid of those dastardly guards. what a bunch of pinheads.

Could she call them that? Mari pursed her lips. They did all have some sort of spikey hair, mostly. So that kinda worked right? Was that an insult? She wasn't sure anymore...Mari must have been getting soft. She used to be so quick witted with her tongue. Sharp and rude - now she was more...amicable. Mari sighed. The times, they change a person. So does death. And Mari had more than her fair share of that delightful cup of bitter tea.

<Searching for Exit!  LD17+ to find!>

The silence was welcomed...a part of Mari wanted to rip the bell off the wall and smash it against the ground, just for good measure - but she doubted she needed it. This room wasn't like the others- it was brighter - and it actually had a couple windows where filtered light leaked through from behind some dirtied red curtains. "So...I guess this is the way out." Mari mused as she crossed her arms. This hadn't exactly been easy, but it wasn't really hard either - it probably sat in the middle for the redhead.

If anything ,it was just irritating. Mari sighed as she glanced over her shoulder at where the bandit guards had fallen. She didn't really like fighting humanoid NPCs, but at least they made it easier by being absolute assholes. "Well, best get out of here and take a long dip in a hot spring somewhere. Burn all that sh*it off..." Mari said as she headed toward the door, she tried to yank it open but it was shut tight.

"What..."

Crap was this really not the way out? No...it had to be. Mari moved away and scoured the floor near where the guards had fallen. "Oh..." She bent down and picked up a small silver key, she'd have been in real trouble if she didn't have the smarts to check it. Mari headed back to the door, and unlocked it.

"Right, here we go."

As Mari pushed the door open she had to shield her eyes from the sudden light. Right...it was day time. She stumbled forward a few feet but stopped. The stench was the first to hit her - like a wave of grotesque rubbish. A hoarder who forgot how many cats had died in their house - a egg salad sandwich forgotten and decaying in a vending machine...it all hit her and she quickly covered her nose, trying not to gag.

It was the Warden. He held a giant club that was hefted over his shoulder; and his beard was unruly, tiny flies buzzed around it, Mari knew, knew that he probably hadn't had a bath, shower - or even seen a bucket of water for years. He snorted, blowing his nose on his hairy arm as he drove it under his nose. Then guffawed, loudly. "Hahaha, Look at Yer! Yer look like a man-giant! Yer weren't that big when we caught ya. Eatin' too much arr we?"

Mari smirked, pulling out her blade and flipping it into a reverse grip - it flashed with the activation of <<Eternal Cyclone>> "Hmmm..." She tilted her head to the side and shrugged. "Something like that, your men feed me well."

He laughed as he patted his own stomach. "Aye, at least I hold my weight well - ya look like ya should be a - ARghgh what are you-"

Mari interrupted him by dashing forward he clambered to grab his club and tried to whack her across the side of her head - but Mari span on her heel, and struck him - again, and again, and again. The single attack tore through his health like a hot knife through butter. He coughed as he fell to his knees.

"Yer real ugly, inside and out." He spat at her.

"I know." Came Mari's reply as she kicked him over - he disappeared as his body crashed to the floor. Mari stepped over the place where he passed.

And thus, she had escaped from the strange bandit camp.
