The Battle Arena and Battle Championship

Recommended Posts

Alright, surely some of you have noticed the new Subforum in the Floors 1-10 section. That's right, we are getting a 'Battle Arena', that can be used for hosting tournaments, and will be the sight of a Quarterly Tournament occurring once every 3 months, to determine who is Aincrad's Strongest Swordsmen!

Look for new updates as I lay down the foundation of how this Battle Arena is going to work, and exactly what options are available for participants, bystanders, and guilds or shopkeeps looking to sponsor their own Tournament.

In addition, we are officially starting the signups for the first Aincrad Battle Championship. Sign ups will conclude on Sunday the 1st, and we will begin bracketing our competitors so that they might begin their battles, and crown a champion that will receive a unique title, showcasing their victory, a COL prize, and a special 'unique' weapon of their choosing.

What does Saixy mean by a unique weapon? Well, how about something along the lines of a Perfect Quality weapon that can only be earned through victory in the Arena? Something like Elucidator, Dark Repulsar, Lambent Light, Mate Chopper, and Karakurenai. That's right, the signature weapons we have seen in the canon will be available prizes for our Arena Champion each quarterly tournament.

If you are interested in taking part in this first Aincrad Battle Championship, then post here. Level will not be an issue, as all participants will have equal health (15). The standard 3 pieces of equipment will work as they do in the Rp, and must be 'declared' before the battle starts.

Are you excited? I know I am.

Miaki read the notice about a new battle arena being unlocked and a championship to soon take place in the arena. The idea of proving one's mettle was exciting to Miaki and the rewards were great. Miaki was in love with his current sword but if he could get something better then he would be a fool to pass up the opportunity.

Checking for other details Miaki signed himself up and awaited to see how everything would play out. "Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor."
