Macradon 0 Posted April 22, 2020 Author #21 Report Share Posted April 22, 2020 He chuckled at his familiar who had just been following him and now sat besides him “Seems like we’re still quite lucky when we’re out fishing … perhaps I should just get used to not having adrenaline filled days and just learn how to relax on days without combat and fights .... it’s a bit weird I have to admit, but at least it’s weird and not too uncomfortable to relax like this …” he said out loud and slowly made it more of a mumble. He would inhale and exhale deeply as he cast out his line again, hoping for another good clutch of eggs, and as before he didn’t have to wait before he felt the tug of something on the other side of the line. Slowly reeling in his line as usual, Macradon would find another good clutch of materials and eggs, it was weird to have this. Macradon 0 Posted April 22, 2020 Author #22 Report Share Posted April 22, 2020 He cast out his line once again, but this time there wasn’t anything tugging back at him immediately, so he just let the hook sink down to the bottom of the pond and when he felt the hook land, he began to slowly reel in the line with small tugs, slowly trying to get something to latch onto his hook. After a minute of slow tugging, it was like his hook had gone stuck, it didn’t budge anymore. Confused as to what was going on, Macradon stood up on the ledge and tried to pull hard with his fishing rod, and he felt something lifting off from the bottom, something big had latched itself onto the hook “We got a big one this time!” Macradon exclaimed to Belphegor as he began to reel in what had taken a bite onto his hook. He got it to the surface and revealed the chest and eggs he had pulled up. He quickly made a tally of his egg total and noticed that he was actually beyond the amount of eggs he needed “Oh, look at that.” he said and then knelt down at the chest. He would try to open up the lock of the chest with a few futile attempts, but one last try and heavy pull would release the lock of the chest, revealing a small treasure that had been locked away, some materials, a bit of consumables and a weapon, not too shabby of treasure chests goes. He would put the found treasure away in his inventory and push back the empty chest into the pond “And with that, I think that was all for today, whadya say, wanna go back home and take a nap or two?” he asked his familiar and began walking back to the main settlement.
