Collecting his robe from the back of his seat, having already eaten in preparation for the journey ahead Raidou heads to the warp gate that would lead him to Tolbana village in this very early dawn. A beam of cobalt color rips him to his destination into a darkened cave with little to no light present in the settlement he had landed in. This mattered little given he was always trying to avoid those who would intervene or stall his intended target, taking to the wooden quest board that graced the front of the tavern. Sliding the constructs menu open and a rapid ascent through what was littering the list, Raidou locates the Natures Treasure and accepts it with a jab of his arm with a raised pointer. Through the dense yellow fog that usually claimed the pathways that broke the floor into sections, this one more hazardous than most hid an alcove of treasure away from the masses. Kneeling down where the opening was being barely visible through the thick atmosphere Raidou knew where it was located. Sliding through into the clearing and past as his vision clears, setting his eyes on a home away from home. Getting right to it Raidou unhooks his robe from his shoulders and lays it out like a tarp, then leaning down over an array of protruding roots of grayish tipped leaves he starts the process for which he had become accustomed. Raidou 1 Posted April 11, 2020 Author #3 Report Share Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) They were a bit tough in removal than usual, more than likely due to the fact these were the denser Iron Stem: a herb used in the design and concoction of mitigation potions that hardened the skin and if it was consumed in its raw form a heavy feeling of eating a literal stone. They had much more heft to them than most, showing their properties even in such a base form was akin to most medicinal plants. This made the extraction process more difficult than most as the weight composed with the system they used to attain moisture and nutrients through the rock surface underneath was taxing on the nomads frame more than usual. After some preparation and grit teeth, the first gives way tossing a scatter of pebbles against the wall behind the trajectory. Creating a nice bulked pile on his robe, Raidou takes his sleeve to his forehead that rubs a bit of dust in a line across his head but keeps the sweat from burning his eyes. Taking a quick breather to recoup the energy he had spent dealing with the gray leaved demons, Raidou takes a quick mental tally of what he had attained to get a sense of if he should continue. A dozen lay on his designated area, which was a sufficient enough yield to insist on a change of pace and type. Choosing a less physically strenuous activity for the next would be ideal, Raidou thought to take his surroundings into account as he searched for such a thing to move to next. Upon the rather softer soil that broke between the more solid rock floor was some sort of potentially edible green growths. Raidou took to them and although a bit reticent hoping they would not fight him in a similar fashion to the herbs he had just had a physical battle with, tried his hand at pulling them free. They were bulbous like cabbage but a bit of a darker shade but the leaves formed a spherical shape in the same way. Sliding his hands around its rounded shape to find a spot between it and the floor, Raidou finds the connection point that slides between his middle and ring finger. Now palming somewhere between a basketball and softball sized oval of networked leaves of dark green, Raidou contemplates tossing it but is convinced it would end up damaging the foodstuff into a state of unusable moosh. Instead decides to walk it over and set it down gently, assuming despite its size it would find a way of fitting into the much smaller bag he had brought for the plant matter that would be usable by the guild chef. Leaving this one where it lay Raidou proceeds back from whence he came to continue the whole ordeal, wanting to boost his stock in the process and wrap this category up sooner than later. Leaving the almost pyramid shape of them bunched together on his vibrant red tarp, Raidou taps his hands together as almost a wordless signal that this task was complete. Drawing his sword knowing the next task could include some energy expenditure given the lack of it in the prior had left him recovered. He looked about for a suitable quarry, showing a spidered vein of rich mineral fired through the rough stone wall at the back of the chamber. It took on a dark red color with speckles of what was a glimmer that purveyed it was metallic in nature and Raidou was convinced this was the answer to his quarry and starts to take steps to close the gap between him and its respective location. He did not want to inhale the fumes and put himself at risk, most airborne inhalants especially ones on this floor, in particular, could be detrimental to one's health and Raidou was not going to take this gamble. It fades after a few moments and under its opacity reveals sections of the struck surface had turned to jagged fragments of the impact, some inert and nothing more than stone and the others rigged to burst with the mineral he sought. Sheathing his black star into its scabbard after a quick check for bruising over its length showing naught, Raidou flourishes and docks it. Moving through the pile with fervor and filtering out the ones that were clearly just stone from the ones with the potential to become ingots. Griswold would more than appreciate such a gain to be sure, Raidou thought as he began to pile the pieces into his mitts with the intention of moving them away from the demolition site. They found their own section on the mat he had created for the harvest, a brilliant glimmer next to some leafy basketballs and a small pile of herbs that looked pretty similar to rocks. A wrap up of three of the six categories left only three remaining for him to yield: Tailoring, Artisan, and Performer resources being Recording crystal, gemstones and silk or linen respectively. Gemstones the word echoed through his dome as a decree of what he aimed for next. To some success, Raidou finds what he is looking for in a section of the wall that seemed to have the same sort of glimmer as the vein of metal had, but the reflective light seemed to take on tones of color as if what was contained inside shared different shades. This was typical of gemstones given the color was directly connected to the presence of an impurity in its formation. Using his blade as a chisel to widdle away where the reflected light was originating in a fall of fragmenting stone the first gemstone in the array of glimmers falls free, revealing a pinkish hued sphere that was in need of some love and care before it would be usable. The sound of them falling followed suit shortly after each spray of fragmented pieces, his blade holding strong during each extraction. This would have been killer on a blades sharpness but to Raidou who carried a blade that could not hold an edge, it harmed nothing. The wall seemed to continue to give way to more and more gemstones each slightly deeper beneath the surface than the last and as if shaving away in a sweep they kept on popping up. The nomad could start to feel pressing exhaustion as this was starting to become quite the demanding force of him, with each pluck his strength waning a bit more. Putting his blade away to free his hands up, Raidou begins to scoop what he attained up and given the quantity has some trouble carrying everything back in one trip. The single attempted cart turns to two as he's forced to segment it or drop half on the action, moving the vast amount of gemstones in an easy dozen or so good size clumps to the blanket set out. This rounded out the gemstone collection leaving a good ten or so of them in place with the others, leaving the final two types that needed to be added before packing up for the day which was starting to drag along. Locating a crate with a check of the area around him, Raidou takes his blade out after just having put it away with a sigh shoves it in the gapping between the lid and the base. This allows a timed scent to escape with the creak of the wood in response, and with a push and rocking of the handle, Raidou manages to scrape free the container from its lid which clatters to the floor. With little to no issue Raidou begins to upheave the useless clutter that was sheltering him from the more pressing and important yields that lay dormant underneath. Tossing out a sack of rotted grain or the like, a pack of stale flour he reaches pay dirt. A bright colored red bolt of fabric caked in dirt, which he removes and blows on after shutting his eyes and pinching his nose closed. It creates a followed burst of greyed mist that stings his eyes and he's forced to wave it clear. Setting this piece down he digs deeper inside and starts to burn away what remained as more and more are extracted from within its decayed interior. Dropping them upon the tarp and waving his hand near his face to clear out the soot that had taken place in what seemed to be a cloud that wished to strangle the life out of him, he manages to catch his breath and halt the burning of his eyes and throat. There was more to be had in the crate and Raidou would not leave without claiming the lot, if he could survive the attack it was attempting to claim his soul with. Moving back to the box and pressing the lower half of his abdomen to its rim, he suspends himself on it allowing his feet to leave the ground while he holds his breath. Stumbling back and extruding a sharp exhale to let the air escape and breathe easier, in his mitts the final two wraps of linen of blue and green color are removed. Dropping them with the rest as Raidou focuses on steading his breathing to a manageable frequency, to clear the choking sensation from his neck and nose this finishes up the whole ordeal with a successful pull of what it was hiding. This left all but one category filled, one Raidou aimed to check off the agenda and get back and potentially wash this stink from his person. Raidou 1 Posted April 11, 2020 Author #17 Report Share Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) A final resource remained in his list to add to the guilds repertoire: recording crystals for performers, and luckily given their luminosity they were never hard to locate, which is why the swordsman never fretted on harvesting them first and given the fragile nature of such usually meant he harvested them last as he could store them before they would see harm's way. On the back of the chamber in an outcropping spewing forth from an oval stone was the jagged bars of glass that were recording crystal composed of a hexagonal prism that refracted color like oil in a unique to each way. A wrap of closed fist forms a grasping hand around the tip of the first Raidou intends to pull free from its enclosure in a similar fashion as he has in excess in the past. Raidou 1 Posted April 11, 2020 Author #18 Report Share Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) Allowing more and more movement to transition upward as leeway is built in the stone it was stuck within, Each time Raidou gets it centered where it originated he pays it a sharp tug outward toward himself and the first couple seem to do nothing, the last however does as it springs forth and Raidou braces himself to prevent him from falling backward. In his clutches a rod of a successful extraction all too fragile upon which he gingerly takes to his cordoned area and sets softly upon its surface. This fuels Raidou to return and continue the procedure and with some success starts on a second, afterward a third as he begins to pluck them one at a time slowly harvesting the lot from where they are contained and taking the time between each to place them down away from the area to stop him from trampling them in the harvest. The entirety added to the remaining Raidou routinely began to remove bags he prepared for each category and started to add them each to their own confinement for transit, tying them off after each finished deposit and attaching them to brass hooks on his waist with ample distance to avoid contact. This takes quite a numerous amount of minutes to bag all if what was here and prepare for a journey back, an hour flies past it what seems to be nothing more than a blink of an eye. Raidou 1 Posted April 11, 2020 Author #20 Report Share Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) Raidou remembered Cardinal's nasty habit of dropping a chest just out of his line of sight, and turned his back to the chamber for a moment and then turned about face after waiting a moment. Appearing out of what seemed to be thin air was a boxes edge protruding from the earth in the center of the grotto, its corner piercing through the grime it was housed in. Raidou moved up to it with a slight grin gracing his face, having bested the notion that had caught him off guard before. Grabbing on to what he could Raidou freed the box from where it was stored, lifting it to its flattened base to reveal a rounded top and metal trim akin for these kinds of things. Raidou was not one to take such an object lightly however and took to checking it for traps that may lay dormant on its exterior, keeping a cautious aura about him as he circled it looking for any rigging that would show such a device.
