Raidou 1 Posted April 22, 2020 #1 Report Share Posted April 22, 2020 A ledger on a wall on what appeared to be a makeshift clipboard with tallies scratched upon its surface with black ink showing quite the number, Raidou takes a look in the double door vault to get an idea of its contents, retracting a pen and scratching another tally upon the slip of paper. Retrieving his equipment from the surface of the rectangular platform of red wood and linking it onto his person and adjusting the glasses to his face, the last his vibrant red robe that halted the advancing elements. Prepared and determined in the early morning dew, Raidou enters the light blue light and sets for his destination. A flash of blue energy removes him to the location and a flurry of rapid movement upon a digital menu accepts the quest in question. A fast as he left a plate of white lay silent upon the table, keeping him fed and eager to face the day. Bright orange tipped herbs lay in the center of the cavern, and with a wave of his hand reveals golden sheen of maturity and its followed by the breaking of the roots snapping away and after a decent yield began to build Raidou drops his robe down and lays it flatter to build a surface for the pieces to be communed upon. To this end, Raidou moves them upon it to protect them from surface wear from the rough floor underneath them. This beckons him back to the small garden and a recur of a method as he starts to harvest an ever growing amount that would be deposited later when the total collection was finished for the day. The ground continued to offer as the bright orange tangerine dream started to create a pungent citrus stink that seemed to dwell heavily about the location and seep into the pores on his hands with a thickness and almost sticky feeling on his hands. Rubbing them onto the ground to disperse the clung smell and regain his dexterity, before he started up again as he was eager to get all that would be offered by the cardinal today. A nice harvest grows in girth upon the crimson red linen set aside to create the location to which they would be protected from harm. Raidou pops his neck still a bit sore from the day prior, finding some lead between his joints and causing his stiffness to halt his momentum just a tad better. Raidou 1 Posted April 23, 2020 Author #4 Report Share Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) The refreshing air entering his joints proved to be a respite from such crippling jointing, allowing his movement to free up and his hands finishing the remainder of the patch leaving a barren dirt patch behind as Raidou drops the remaining few units to the communed pile he had set aside. Taking to the small water source contained in this grotto to rinse the smell from his appendages before it had a chance to sink in too awful far. Eventually, it manages to wear away as the stink starts to dilute within the icy cold water. To this end, Raidou catches a glimpse of a glimmer of clams hidden within the water surface, barely visible underneath the refracted light. Shoving his hand in further beyond, the chill was numbing on his flesh but he manages to find the bottom of the bed and it was rough to his fingers on the bottom. It was a clam and to his gaze is met with much more them laden within the waters birth and to this end, Raidou shoves his arm back within in haste to maintain momentum and keep the resources flowing in earnest. He could not afford to squander the time he had to spend if he had hoped to make up the loss from the day prior and with it an ever increasing expenditure of energy and effort allowed a more aggressive pace than usual. Communing to the edge of the water as his chest is pressed against the rim of the water Raidou begins to sift around the bottom kicking sentiment about that causes it to become more opaque. Raidou 1 Posted April 23, 2020 Author #6 Report Share Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Adding to the pile as more and more are found within, found in a clasping grasp as his fingers struggle a bit to maintain a grip about its smoothed surface Raidou begins to add to the yield in the haste of moisture pooling about underneath it an almost muggy scent that claimed an almost seaweed or mossy earthen smell. It doesn't take him to long to produce quite the gain and Raidou takes the time to move them to his robe, first shaking them and his hands to kick off most of the water that had clung to it in an almost oiled beading upon his hands and their surfaces. Dropping them on the bright red robe expecting it to be able to handle the residual moisture that was left, it was sturdy enough to handle blizzards and could survive a bit of water in the shape of a stain. Looking about in a quick glance Raidou found a vein of metal running heavily through the back wall, taking on a golden hue that was surely Gold or something to the same effect. Despite his lack of knowledge of the possible use, it would surely have one. A quick lunge forward and the clash of steel on the stone creates a reverberating impact that tears through the cavern in a repeated echo. Followed is a fog of clouded stone causing obscurity to claim his vision. Dropping to his knees after sheathing the sword Raidou claims the few minerals that showed promise and taking them away from the more inert darkened shades of grey. Raidou 1 Posted April 24, 2020 Author #8 Report Share Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) The rich nuggets of laced stone seemed to continue to flow amongst the pile to which the nomad offered no pause between a sifting hand, sliding apart the pieces to divide those who would of be no use from the ones that would surely be pure enough to refine into ingots. A routine is shown in his expertise as the task takes a rhythm as he does this, shoving the grey inert from the glimmered gold and occasionally moving a decent collection in grasped arms to his red tapestry to build more room to work. The total count starts to gain quite the number with each halt in momentum and displacement from where it fell. A wipe of the brow and the clacking of stones connecting with each underhanded toss that seems to bounce about the enclosed space in walls composed of the very same material in a rough capsule under red and blue light. A subtle cough and the dropping ore to which Raidou adjusts his frames and stretches in a final piece finding a hearth, taking a glance about to find something else to attempt a harvest for this type had been finalized with this last unit. Herbs Ore Clams Reverberating mental checks as Raidou takes a tally of what he had prospered and prepared for a trip back to the coffers of the guild, a good size load that was but half complete. His eyes set upon illumination of the light available dormant in the rough wall to his immediate right, and to this end it seemed the cardinal chose this place once again to fill with gemstones as before. Moving to the wall in question and jamming his point into the first his eyes lock upon just off center with a cradle and bend of the handle to create pressure in the insertion to move about that was most surely harder than the wall that it was encased within. Underneath upon closer inspection, it bled a bluish light and after some effort, it breaks loose in the shape of an oddly smooth and uncut sapphire with the crumbling of the very rock it was entrapped inside. Dropping to the ground in a soft impact that would do it no harm given its density, Raidou shifts the blade over and gets started on the next in the chain taking the form of a light pink jewel slightly visible from where it lay. Raidou was in a continued trance breaking away the stone in a press of the point of his blade that quickly moved to the next upon each popping lose allowing the jewels to pass by and not to advert his attention to what would surely become quite the haul. Thankfully the source seemed to be still booming enough to continue the endeavor in a repeated offering of that which hid under its surface, the glimmers being the show of such that allowed the swordsman to hone in on each one after the prior extraction and making the growth he wished all the more possible. Checking the point for wear that was not present, Raidou sheathes it after inspection before taking to his yield and starts to remove them from the floor in clumps, a grasping hand having trouble containing the lot given the quantity harvested. To his tapestry, they find a section as Raidou places them upon it to which the vibrant red is distorted through them altering the colors perceived through the bending of the light allowed through. A tap of his hands together and onto the next in tandem as the soot clears from his pores, the conclusion of a successful node being taken bare by the nomad. Taking a look about Raidou's vision hones in on a collection of webbing just overhead in a network drawn between the looming stone pillar that jut downward. The black blade exposed to the stagnant air again, a screech of the metal as it breaks loose and is risen above his frame. Dropped edge against the first clump it could come to rest within, Raidou begins to turn it to spool about the cable to the metal it would not cling to like his skin and clothes. At first, the cords bend before seeming to snap free from the rock it was adhered to, and with the slack, it seems to shrink and stick to itself instead. Forming a sphere of the stuff on the metal rod he had produced. A troubled breath with a nice chunk built upon the platform the swordsman had provided for it. The cable keeps on snapping and coiling back upon the weapon as Raidou has to perch himself more precariously to reach further up and reach the remaining blanket of thickened string, aiming for the wall that was surely behind the opacity it was casting to his sight. It seemed to run back still however, the crevice as deep as he had remembered and he could not quite find the end yet. Withdrawing down a few more balls of this toughened material and doing his best to contain them in the same fashion, Raidou could see the dent he had made in the amount so far but it was clear there was quite the bulk. Scooping and twining what was left it began to expose the back wall allowing its visibility as the material began to dwindle, finding the reducing amount building upon the edge of his weapon. Wiping the last of it into a rag and tossing to the center with the rest Raidou crossed this material of his list with a final glance to assure that the cord was completely emptied out. Hoping down from the flattened high rise his feet had to take to reach the remainder, the next category became the current target. This left the one that was the easiest to spot, Recording crystals. Swaying his right shoulder to get the lead out of the joint, Raidou moves up to meet them and pressing an open hand to the first in the sequence began a careful procedure he had become accustomed to. A soft rock beginning to toss fragmented stone with hairline cracks building at its base, creating more movement with each in varied direction. A few failed pulls show it was still affixed well until it is not, the third and final pull of this unit allows it to slide from its case while Raidou uses both of his hands to gingerly break it loose. Raidou 1 Posted April 24, 2020 Author #17 Report Share Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) It may have seemed excessive to some, but given the fragile appearance of such things Raidou would take no chance of trampling or dropping the material, and given the dropping stone from each extraction, it seemed the distance he built was the best method. This coupled with the softer surface he had presented it upon was the best he could do to prevent any destruction from befalling them, and although time consuming it was the routine he had chosen. Back to the node in question Raidou kept up a mechanical pace that was tempered with a matched caution, taking each away from the source as one by one they break loose to awaiting hands further cementing the nomads experience as it seemed that despite the difficulty it appeared as child's play. The sheer quantity upon his robe that continued to bulk up with each addition of the myriad color that was contorted by the reflective glass upon its surface. To this end, if the floor was soft enough to allow such, a grove would have surely been present in the instant journey between the two. Sliding his HUD open to get the idea of time spent compared to his yield, it read back a couple of hours by this point and to the haul time was seeming in his favor. Ahead of broadcasted schedule, Raidou chose to use the excess to fully empty the node out as it was the only one that had more to offer for him to retrieve. Adding these last few to the main mast of what was retrieved, Raidou begins to produce bags for each type, moving first to the recording crystal to get them out of the way first and foremost. Time ticks forward as all that lay upon his robe begin to vanish into the container prepared for each, a tug of cording locking them closed and tied to his waist for the transit back. Eventually, this ends in a blank robe with the last finding a home on his hip, reaching down and removing it with a flutter to kick the dust that had settled upon it with a slight bit of water from the food. It appeared today however that such an event would not transpire which beckoned the swordsman to retire, dropping down and sliding himself out into the yellow mist that hid its entrance. Footfalls through obscurity draw him back to Tolbana, a flash of screens upon the quest board bringing this day's harvest to a close with a moniker of the quest coming to a close. A sufficient yield strapped to his belt, Raidou takes to the warp gate and with a muttered word a flash of light extracts him home from his frequented routine. The guild hall was quiet and low lit, a pile of bags dropped to the growing storage as a vibrant red robe that had stood to every test finds the back of a worn in chair.
