Arena: 9Lives, Saix, Vandal, Ayane

The desolate stage of the coliseum, nearly abandoned but in perfect condition, was immunized spontaneously. the defeat of the level 7 Boss brought life to the stage than until now had been dark. the sounds of cheering billowed from, radiating outward so tremendously that it could be heard, if faintly, by everyone on the floor. as if an entire city of NPCs spawned to life, the arena was filled with programs spectating. entering the massive structure, one could see the battle raging below on the floor. Npc's fighting against monsters in staged battles to display the arena in action while waiting for someone to take the challenge.

The crowd wasn't the only thing to behold in this stadium. the caged in structure had a suspended structure that hung down over the arena. Within what could most appropriately be called a wild woman shouted down at the arena calling for contestants to step up and take on the challenge. Dressed to kill in a corset short with a skirt and tattered leggings, both striped like the Cheshire cat, he dives off the cage high above swinging down on a Trapeze as she blows kisses down to the NPCs below. with a mega phone in hand she calls out for anyone willing to take on the challenges of the Arena.

As her voices call out for challengers light illuminate the entrance gate with a large podium in front of it. activating the podium gives the prompt to take the challenge. once the contestants have agreed the Gates will open giving admittance, closing behind them. once the gates lock, they wont open again until the contestants are victorious or leave in shame.

Saix had gathered his team meticulously, featuring his trusted friend and lieutenant and two of the young members of his guild who had set out to make a name for themselves. While he was not certain as to whether or not they would be able to pull off the definitive win, it was going to be a wild and rocky ride none the less. "Alright, we don't know what enemy we are going to be pitted against, or what kind of terrain to expect. But if we stick to our tactics we will be able to overcome any obstacle." He said, stepping into 'Captain' mode. "Vandal will be our forward and act as tank, I will try to keep him from getting swarmed. Nine and Ayane, you are DPS, focus on the most dangerous target and burn it down fast while we try to keep the others off you." He continues, laying the foundation for a plan. "As the situation changes, we might have to change strategy, so be ready if I call out a new strategy." He adds, finalizing their preparations. Before he reaches out and triggers the podium, beginning their assault on the Monster Arena.

No backing out now.

9Lives looked over the information they had bought about the arena form the brokers. there wasn't much known. all information pertained to the beta test of it. as they all knew this game was very different from the beta. still any information was at least something to prepare. "best estimate is that it is round based. where we have so many enemies to fight defeat. clearing that wave will let us move on to the next group of enemies." it wasn't much to go off of but there were a good balanced team and while 9Lives didn't know the 4th member, he trusted both Ayane and Saix. Saix vouched Vandal and that was good enough for him.

Vandal didn't know Saix or 9Lives, aside from a little of the former's reputation going into the 8th Floor Boss Battle, but he knew Ayane. They had crafted gear for each other as a part of a trade, a cloak for himself and a dagger for her; and he considered it to be a mutually profitable agreement, as his cloak had served him well. Ayane had vouched for him to 'tank' for the group in this first ever attempted run at the Monster Arena. Saix had been on board with it, and 9Lives hadn't complained or made a fuss, that Vandal was aware of, so here they were. Saix gave rapid fire instructions, which was kind of impressive given he couldn't be any older than 20. 9Lives was quick to back him up, and the way they interacted reminded him of his time in the military. It was no wonder the Ebon Vanguard was suddenly becoming a big name, bringing this kind of strategy to the table.

Ayane tugged at the silk scarf/belt tied around her waist absent mindedly. Decked out in her usual soft black and purple cloth armor, butterfly themed of course, with her beautiful scarf, she was definitely the lightest armored of the group. But that didn't bother her, since they had a heavy armor tank. Dressed in her Kunoichi themed armor, with her little mask/neckline pulled up to conceal part of her face, and with the ninja looking shortsword/dagger thrust through her cloth wrapped belt she was quite obviously a DPS player. This was going to be her first fight with Saix and Vandal, but she trusted that they were going to be good party members. Saix considered this run at the Arena to be a good training exercise for their upcoming Boss Battle, and had mentioned wanting to get to know his Sergeant's playstyle. Since she had already fought with 9Lives it was a given that she was his Sergeant in the Assault group. Since a tank would make things go smoother, she had suggested Vandal, and here they were. Ayane nodded, showing she understood, and was ready to get to battle.

The NPC crowd roared as the gates opened letting the four enter the arena. It was a lush hillside arena, with rock formations pulling out of hills on the sides. There was little in the way of cover as the waist high grassland covered the field. It was surprisingly large scale. within, likely an optical illusion but bending space is not necessarily difficult in a game. the Arena around them would seem immense. High above swinging form a swing set the buxom woman in Victorian garb who would play announcer called out through her megaphone to the crowds below.

"It looks like the Grasslands have welcomed our team of would be champions. Wait!, whats that? i think i hear the ground begin to rumble! oh what ever shall we do?" she said mockingly in an extravagant manner. "Better move fast because here comes... The Hoard Wave!" she said as doors all around the arena opened and 5 massive boars flooded into the arena charging erratically through the fields partially obscured by the tall grass. They move crossing each others path constantly running at full speed while hunting for prey. "Keep on your toes, cause these beasts wont "boar" you! Nailed It!"

Taking a moment to try and analyze the erratic paths of the Boars as they charge through the grasslands, Saix pinpoints the point of the pattern where their nearest enemy is furthest from the rest of the giant Boars. "Alright, focus fire on this target. 9 and Ayane, try and burn it down quick by flanking on both sides; Vandal up front at forward and be ready if we draw more aggro, I will off tank and call out any changes in target or warn if we draw any hate from any other Boars. Get ready while I pull our friend back so we can launch the ambush!" Saix called, adapting to the situation on the fly. He highly doubted that his team would be able to finish off one of the huge Boars before drawing the aggro of another, but he at last hoped they could kill one or two off before the entire group attacked them. Drawing his rapier, Saix led his team into battle.

Damage: 1 + 2 = 3

Bleeding applied for 2 turns

Result: Rushing a head of his team and trusting them to spread into formation, he moved quickly to draw the beast's attention by giving a quick attack, then retreat back to their chosen battle ground. The blood red blade of his rapier blurred as he raced up and stabbed into the creature's snout, giving the blade a quick twist, before retracting his sword and leading the beast back to their chosen ambush spot.
