"Tch, enough! Difenda!", Purotekuta howled to his friend, raising his sword and preparing to deflect the next attack Chase would let out on the both of them. The boy noticed how on guard they were, quickly slipping a potion out of his inventory and consuming it- the one from the Underdark quest that provided him with this damage boost. Seeing as they were stronger than they let on, they'd take a bite out of him for sure, despite his vampiric defense and battle healing. "Getting into formation for a measly brat like me?", his taunts continued, trying his best to ruin their composure.

All he got in response was growls and glares right towards him, but that was more than enough. It meant that he'd done his job properly. "Make your move kid, won't you?", Difenda asked in return, but the only response he got was a yawn. Not quite what he wanted, but... it only served to fuel his anger. "Sure, sure. Here goes nothing- literally."

Despite his preparations to use a sword art, he quickly chugged down the alchemical concoction and began to make his way right for Difenda. He stopped his sword art at the last moment though and slashed weakly at him, resorting to a basic attack to scout for what sort of abilities they might have. And just when he was about to deal damage to the Defender among the two, Purotekuta jumped in front and parried the attack, deflecting the damage onto the boy.

Thankfully, his attack was weak as is. Before he could regain his composure and give it his all to block their own attacks though, the same Defender he tried to attack pushed Purotekuta out of the way and charged right at Chase, slamming the shield in his stomach to stun him. Needless to say, the attack did in fact send the bluehead in a daze, groaning as he fell back onto the ground.

The damage they dealt was nothing to be scared of. Nor did he really feel pain, he just saw his health drop- it was around then that he realized just how little had in fact dropped though that he let out a sigh. "..? You guys barely do a thing, don't you?", he pointed out while Uso-Tsuki distanced himself from the group that much more, with one hand on his katana and the other giving him more speed to run, swinging back and forth. He'd have to catch up to him later.

He tried to make a move to attack the two once more, especially Difenda, but he faltered. The stun was still in effect.

The two attacked him once more, with one missing while the other struck right where it hurt. Well, normally it did. But their damage values were so abysmal, they barely dealt him any. He soon after broke out of his comatose state, quickly running at them once more with his sword up in the air. He got attacked twice by the duo, once from each, with Difenda's attack being more akin to a light slap, and Purotekuta a punch. Nothing he couldn't handle.

He slashed down at the defender with the stun, deeming him to be much more of a danger than the other- he seemed to be much better protected by his armor too, which was nothing to take lightly. "Hell though, I deal a lot of damage normally, but they're barely taking much in the first place... I don't think this could drag on too long, but... Please, let me make it."

The moment his attack connected, he jumped back. That's because he saw the stance change of Difenda, ready to charge at him once more. And it was then that Chase was ready to make use of his newly acquired skill- Parry. He held his sword in front of him, ready to slam anything coming his way out with the jagged edges of his own blade. Even then, chances were that the attack in question would get to him all the same and deal some damage, but he was fine wit hit.

He was already back to full health through his battle healing and holy blessing. These two were nothing but a warm-up for the final boss, who seemed even less menacing the further and further away he ran at that speed. "Bring it on.", he calmly ordered the two with a serious face, watching them move in to attack but missing out of fear- maybe it was on purpose, then again.

The light glow of the sword probably let them know that he was onto something. Hell, if one of the guards that tried to arrest Uso-Tsuki had used Parry before, then they would surely know about what the move did. That would only make them even more wary of the boy's movements, and thus the fight more difficult. For now though, he had to attack back seeing as Difenda's charge had failed to stun. An orange glow took over his blade and then, he took off.

He jumped right at the heavy armored, shielded unit of a bodyguard, slashing down at the shield. Despite his first strike being blocked, he quickly pulled at the shield with his left hand and slashed once more with the right one, grinning widely with gritted teeth. His smile was more scary and savage than anything else, by now. "You two... You're dangerous, I'll give you that much."

As soon as he'd gotten his strike in, he kicked at his shield and jumped back, creating another gap between the three. "Not much hearing that from you kid. You're sturdy if anything, but persistent. Too persistent.". Purotekuta didn't seem too approving of Chase's tenacity, and he was right enough to be this way. Blueberry wouldn't appreciate anybody putting up this much of a fight. All the more reason to get serious and give it his all to break through.

The longer the fight dragged on, the more he felt that he would have a bit of trouble pushing through it all. He prepared another sword art and made his way for another attack at Difenda, but this time Purotekuta intercepted just like before- he blocked the strike, knocking Chase off balance and stabbing at him, dealing more damage than before. Even if just slightly. "..?! So one parries, the other stuns, and he attacks back with my own damage..."

Seeing as his last attack was in vain, he prepared to attack once more only to see Difenda's stance change. He could tell the pattern now- it had been a certain amount of time since the last charge, and the way that they fought, they were probably going to be using their skills every so often, on the same interval as the last time. He quickly prepared to parry once more, seeing Difenda miss his mark with the charge but Purotekuta on the other hand hitting spot on.

Despite Chase's parry, he managed to deal a small amount of damage- it was so negligible though, his holy blessing alone would be enough to almost fully heal it. Just short of a single hitpoint. With his current enchantments, these two could barely do a thing given how much evasion he had- he was unkillable. That meant his only problem was killing the other two before he ran out of energy.

While Purotekuta was pulling back, it was impossible for him to deflect another attack from Chase. With a swing and a bright flash of his green sword art, he quickly managed to chip Difenda's health down to half. The three were all preparing for the next attack, having pulled away from one another a fair distance and keeping their shields and blades up respectively. Neither side seemed ready to yield, and things were starting to get rather worrying.

Chase's energy had begun to drop fairly lowly, having reached almost its half-point. By now, the boy began to worry whether he would manage to keep the fight up or not, just because of their health. Purotekuta would be easier to kill, but he wasn't aware if his Galaxy Destroyers would continue to have enough energy backing him up. "I'm about to run out of resources and then, I'll need to resort to sword arts that I used back when I was weaker... Damn it. Let's just finish this..."

With another roar came the next attack. Chase ran right towards Difenda once more all too predictably, slashing down at him. His attack was interrupted by the guard's shield slamming right on his stomach, getting him to grunt and almost knocking him out of balance. However, his attack hit its target all the same, forming another large gash on his chest. Difenda was now starting to falter, and when Purotekuta tried to attack him, he had jumped back and slashed his weapon out of range.

His attack failed to land and the boy's wound from the shield, which was no damage at all, already began to heal. It was pathetic, how weak they were, yet how long they could stall him for. Infuriating, no matter how pathetic they were too. Chase's rage was starting to come out, getting him to grip his sword much tighter than usual. Back in the real world, this grip would be enough for his hands to start bleeding. He was damn pissed.

He knew that the charge was coming, but he wasn't about to make any attempt at stopping it. He wanted Difenda to fall to the ground and die already so he could move on to Purotekuta. This time though, he waited before doing anything. His weapon started to glow and as soon as the guard's charge had missed, he slashed down at him and kicked him out of the way. He couldn't turn to block Purotekuta's strike fast enough though, getting hit.

The damage was good, better than usual, but still weak. It would heal up from his battle healing alone. "Don't you two ever give up and stop being nuisances?!", he snarled at them, getting a 'tsk' from Difenda and a cackle from Purotekuta. Despite how wounded his companion was by now, he seemed to still have the same bravado as he did back when the fight started. He hadn't quite realized just how deadly the bluehead was, funny enough.

And around now, came the next parry. A simple slash and of course Purotekuta would jump in front, trying to block the strike and throw it back to Chase. It barely dealt him any damage. A smile and he quickly kicked him away, getting a 'tsk' out of him in annoyance. "It appears you already figured out how we both fight...", the swordsman pointed out, his voice filled with annoyance as he whipped his sword to the side and pointed it right at the boy.

"You're a good warrior. However, that still doesn't mean we'll let you through no matter what. You hear me?". The growling was good enough of an answer. He began to take slow steps towards them, raising his sword in the air with both hands as it started to flash red. He was about to bring down the roof on the guard and start wiping them out- with his energy as low as it was, he didn't want to keep wasting time fighting them.

Any missed attacks were more time wasted. And more time wasted meant less energy reserved to deal with the more obnoxious of the two. Speaking of the devil, his downward slash missed its mark as Difenda blocked it with his shield- the first sign of Chase getting exhausted. This was one of the first times that he'd felt the energy bar being drained start having an effect on him. And then, Difenda brought the shield right from the weapon to his stomach, hitting once more.

"You look so tired, what's wrong? Tell me it's your energy getting depleted?", Difenda taunted more and more now that they were practically playing with Chase, sneering. Purotekuta knew that his ally's charge was about to be sent his way again, stunning the boy and opening him up for another attack. Until then though, he had to hold his ground and prepare to block just in case.

And then, the shielded fellow died. A single slash out of nowhere was all that it took before his charge had any time to connect whatsoever. A deep sigh was heard from Chase who swung his sword to the side, making Purotekuta flinch and start walking away backwards, gulping down. "What's wrong, kid?", Chase spitefully said to him, glaring him with a narrow look so sharp that if looks could kill, it'd be more than just deadly.

"S-Silence you monster! You're no swordsman, y-you..!", he cried out with his sword pointed right towards him. He knew that since he didn't have quite as heavy armor as his up-to-now alive guard, he'd dodge much, much easier than Difenda. But that wouldn't stop him. His energy reserved was almost fully depleted and that was Chase's biggest issue. That aside, he was good to go, have at it with Purotekuta and throw him around until his health too, depleted.

Another raise of his blade, a downwards slash and off went another bit of Purotekuta's health. A fourth, almost. His bravado was entirely gone now that Difenda had been taken down, probably the toughest of the two when it came down to pure defense. "Uhuh? What am I? A monster? Cause assassinating somebody is what a true swordsman would do, is that it?", blueberry asked. It wasn't because he was mad at them for the assassination. He knew that they were NPCs.

Despite his immersion, he knew they had their own motives and probably couldn't even resist the urge to carry the plan out no matter what. "Th-That's right, you're a monster!". This was still the same fighter that tried to put an end to Chase's life, unless he expected the bluehead to just turn away and run off to the settlement where he'd be safe. That wasn't how anybody operated, in this world. Failure wasn't an option, was it?

"Weren't you the one that talked about theatrics before, bodyguard?", the boy asked and waited for Purotekuta to get his footing again, before slashing right his way. His attack was met with one from the opposing side too. And both missed the mark, just barely. Silence took over as a light gust blew, the young man letting out a deep sigh- half out of exhaustion, the other half out of his anger calming down. "I hope you understand, I only want the SP out of the quest and the Chief's wellbeing. You hear?"

All he got was a confused look from the NPC. He wasn't sure how to respond, by the looks of it. "So if you do me favor and step aside, I will let you off without any more trouble. I'm sorry for what happened to Difenda, but you're criminals. Choose the easy way, or the hard way. I gave you your options.", he finished off and crossed both arms, planting his sword into the bridge and waiting quietly with an eyebrow cocked up.

His look was just as scary as it was before, but he was now calmed down compared to how he felt just a few moments ago. No more seething, or livid. "So what will it be?", he continued to ask, raising the tension between the two. The swordsman let out a roar and ran right at him, trying to stab and missing. He faltered, seeing his opponent having stood still and let himself open to any attacks, not even making attempts to guard. He knew all too well about how his attack would be blocked and reflected right back at him.

It was better to do nothing and try to recover energy in the meantime. "I see. I gave you a way out. Don't hold this against me any, okay?", he asked Purotekuta again and gripped the sword with both hands, raising it into the air and preparing to fight once more.

He had given the bodyguard the chance he was sure he wouldn't take. "And just like that, he's going to be put down all the same as Difenda. I gave him a chance while it was still early.". He quickly brought his blade back down, striking Purotekuta hard for more damage. Almost half of his health was gone, and the only counterattack was another failed stab right his way. Chase simply turned to the side and skidded, feeling his energy starting to drain. He didn't have much more he could expend for stronger sword arts, and that's what worried him.

It had never come down to this before, being so tired he could only use all the first sword arts he ever learned to use. All the way back to the basics- after that, he'd have to cut himself a break and rest up. "Damn it, we can't keep this up... I've gotta finish it."

Otherwise, there's no way that he could beat up the final boss of the quest, Uso-Tsuki, the traitor that was in charge of assassinating the village chief. The boy knew that he had to use his final Galaxy Destroyer while he still could, and he hoped to hit a weak spot for more damage than normal. Drawing his blade back, he waited until Purotekuta tried to land another strike, missing as horribly as he had every other. He quickly dashed to the side and slashed right at him, running out of energy to the point where Galaxy Destroyers were now out of the picture.

To fight, he now had to go back to his roots, leveling with Shay and doing quests while still in Tier 1. "In my current conditions, the moves I could use to not waste all my energy would be... Astral Hell, Back Rush, Cyclone... I don't have many left, so I need to succeed. Hit hard and hit fast, then move on to Uso-Tsuki."

And then it was time that Purotekuta started taking him seriously for what he was and how dangerous he was being. A cold air began to be emitted from Chase's blade, almost as if it was melting in the sunlight. "Huh, look at you, your blade's melting! You'll fall after all!", he cockily said, starting to make his move towards the boy with another slash ready to be sent his way. And then a quiet attack he got in return.

He couldn't move, seeing that he'd taken less damage and his health was now trickling down more and more. "... I'm out of energy. Admittedly. But that won't stop me from taking care of somebody as weak as you. Look down.", Chase advised the bodyguard who lowered his head only to find out that he was bleeding, and with his feet both frozen to the ground too. "My blade wasn't melting."
